This location is pretty busy. I ordered the original pork ramen. The broth was very flavorful and not too salty. Their ramen is delicious and I loved it. Portion wise could include more noodles. Just also note that their prices are on the higher end.

World Ajisen Day (February 22nd)! My least favorite place for ramen but hard to resist paying $7.50 for this bowl of Ajisen Ramen (#5 on their menu). I paid $1 extra to change the broth to Tom Yum. The noodles weren't the best with the ends still stuck together & the pork was on the dry end. The half egg was cooked really well though.

It's not trendiest ramen shop, or the fanciest, but Ajisen just seems to hit this nostalgic sweetspot in my soul. I will always default to the Pork Ramen, which features thinly sliced pieces of lean pork. The crispy edges on the meat give it a great texture, and it is the perfect size to take with a mouthful of noodles. Ajisen features a thin noodle, which I've found to be perfectly cooked with a new balance of chewy but still has a bite. The thin noodles are perfect for maximizing the amount of broth each noodle picks up. Ajisen broths tend to be more oily and salty than other places. I personally like this, but if you think it will be an issue, feel free to ask for less oil or salt.

I got take out at this location and got the teriyaki chicken donburi. I have had this dish before and usually it comes with a decent amount of chicken but this time there's literally like 4-5 small pieces ??? I feel like they could be a bit more generous???

My usual Ajisen Ramen location is at Warden and Steeles. Every time I visit CoCo at this plaza, I have looked longingly at Ajisen Ramen, saying quietly to myself that I need to eat here. I have ordered takeout twice from this location, both times through Skip the Dishes. My first experience was excellent. The second time was bumpy, but all okay in the end. Ajisen Ramen has promotions going on. If you get ramen or rice, you get an appetizer for free. You can choose an item from the following: - Spring roll - Edamame - Deep-fried potato cake - BBQ pork rice ball The first time, I got miso BBQ ramen. I added corn and an egg as extras. For my free appetizer, I got edamame. It is my favourite starter at any Japanese eatery. My pickup the first time was great. I waited behind a couple of folks who were looking at the menu and deciding what they wanted. The female staff member saw me and had my order ready at the table. I fetched it, thanked her, and left. I got home and chowed down. Everything was packed carefully. I had miso broth and it didn't leak out. I loved the edamame. It was done perfectly. I love a bit of salt with the perfectly steamed, protein-packed edamame. The miso BBQ ramen was delicious. I poured the miso broth into the deep recyclable noodle bowl and gingerly mixed everything. There were four small slices of BBQ ramen. If I just had the ramen as a meal, I would have been disappointed with the number of BBQ slices and would have needed to order more. However, I had edamame, so I was happy protein-wise. The ramen was perfect. It was chewy and yummy. The miso broth wasn't overly salty and was flavourful. I loved the green onions, corn, and bean sprouts. They worked so well with one another. The egg was so good. It wasn't runny. It wasn't hard-boiled. It had the right softness and delicateness for ramen. My second order was for dinner last night. I ordered Japanese fried rice with chicken. I have been craving fried rice for a while. I got edamame again as my free appetizer. I also ordered a side of gyoza. After placing my order, I received a phone call practically immediately on my cell phone. I was on the road driving when I picked up hands-free. The woman said that she didn't have any gyoza and asked if I wanted something else, like spring rolls or takoyaki. I said that I wasn't in the mood for either. I asked what else she had. She didn't bother listing them. She then went into this weird conditional questioning path. She asked whether she should go ahead with my order minus the gyoza or if I could cancel my order. I had to explain to her that she caught me while driving. I literally pulled over on Kipling Avenue into a residential apartment parking lot to look at my Skip the Dishes app. I could not cancel the order. She had confirmed it. I let her know. I asked whether it was a best practice for her to confirm the order before checking that she actually had gyoza. She gave me an answer that I wasn't pleased with. I said that she needed to sort that out. I then said that I'd have to keep the order because I had paid and couldn't back out of it. I looked at the other apps and asked if she had the corn salad. She did. Yay! She felt bad for inconveniencing me and said that she'd throw in another app for free. She had listed edamame again. Although I love it, I wanted something different. I went with the fried potato cake. She apologized. I thanked her for her generosity and carefully pulled out of the apartment parking lot after spending a good five minutes getting this order fixed. I made it to the restaurant at 3:40 pm. I had specified my order to be ready at 3:30 pm and gave a bit of time just to be on the safe side. In total, the place had 45 minutes to get everything ready. I walked in and the woman that I had spoke to was cheerful. I said thanks, picked up my goodies, and headed home. Again, everything was carefully packed. I got a handwritten apology on my receipt. This place is good about making things right and I like that a ton. I got miso soup with my Japanese fried rice with chicken. I didn't take a photo of it. It was so good that I consumed it immediately. You get a LOT of Japanese fried rice. The chicken was tender. The green onions, onions, garlic, pork, and fried egg were so good. The fried rice hit the spot and was so flavourful. I highly recommend it. I got the deep-fried potato cake for the first time. It's small, but delicious. It came with mayo. The outside of the potato cake was crispy. The inside part was creamy mashed potatoes seasoned with green onions. It was surprisingly good. The corn salad blew me away. It's such a simple concept to have corn kernels, imitation crab, masago, and a generous amount of mayo as a starter. There were a couple of iceberg lettuce leaves at the bottom. I ate them, but the salad is better without them. It's not worth $8, but it was yummy. The food is great. Staff are hard-working and nice. I'm a fan. (152)

A bowl of ramen soup noodles on a rain day? Yes please! In a matter of mere minutes, the soup and noodles were easily cleared along with a side dish of seasoned seaweed salad. I'd recommend the tender boneless pork ribs instead of the pork ramen for more quanity and tenderness of meat. For some reason, they were sold out by noon on a Saturday of the soup broth for black garlic, shoyu, tomato and miso? **scratches head**

...After forgetting to take a picture before mixing the bowl... but look at how pastey the kimchi is

This is a consistent ramen chain with a bigger menu variety than some other places. I ordered the kimchi pork ramen and asked for the kimchi on the side because I love kimchi but don't like it hot. The ramen was noticeably more flavourful, which can be a plus, but that meant that it was also more salty.. I was constantly thirsty the rest of the night. The kimchi was a little weird.. it had a thick paste with it that got overwhelming... I was def glad I asked for it on the side or it would have killed the broth. I also find the portions here a bit more with more ingredients like bean sprout, onions, kelp, etc. Though I'm never super full from ramen in general. The service was just okay- the restaurant was pretty dead when I was here, yet we would still have to wave servers over to get refills on water. Overall, pretty solid place for ramen where you always know what you're going to get. A bit too high on the MSG but I'm a fan of their menu selection and would come back to try out some of their other options.

Never been disappointed here! Super affordable food that's great on a cold night. Tried the Tom yum soup first which is a little spicy, so watch out if you can't handle spice! The curry ramen is also really flavourful! The apps are pretty good, but definitely a lot cheaper if you order them for lunch because they have smaller portions for a fraction of the price. Definitely recommend!

Opens late | fast hearty food | free wifi | Not authentic Japanese ramen | MSG | seasonal menus available Ajisen ramen is opened by Chinese people but their ramen to most are good. I am highly sensitive to MSG and everyone I eat at their restaurant I feel it. Nonetheless, it's a decent affordable meal if you're craving for some noodles. They have multiple locations and all their locations give me the same MSG feeling. They have snacks, bubble tea, ramen noodle soup, rice dishes, etc. They also have a stamp card available where you get a stamp per $10 spent. Upon collecting 15 stamps you get one house special ramen for free. They often have seasonal menu items that keeps us on our toes. Their other locations include Markham (on Warden), Toronto (on Spadina) and North York (on Yonge).

Good food as usual. Very attentive and consistently exceptional service. The cucumber salad could be fresher tho.

The restaurant was at a busy location, which was the end of the driveway, everyone sees it before making a turn. The staff was nice when we walked in. We were greeted and directed to a corner table where was better with a baby. We showed them 2 coupons, 1 for ramen and 1 for fried chicken. The staff needed to talk to the owner about them. After a few seconds, she came back and said only 1 coupon per visit. We were a bit disappointed, because we were so hard to dine out with a baby, and not able to come again with a long drive and a baby. We talked to their owner, he was nice to let us try both at the same time. Oh yeah! So we have 1 original ramen with black garlic oil, and 1 tomato base. It won't take long to wait. The fried chicken came first, it was not like the breaded chicken, it fried from original, but after marinated; it has taste, but not salty. The 2 ramen came at the same time. They both really rich, but not so salty, because the salt level could be altered; the noodle size could be chosen as well, we did 1 thick and 1 thin. They both looked similar. Overall, the ramen and the chicken all looked good and tasty. I would like to come again if next time I come around this area, even though they were a bit pricey.

Food I'll be honest, I'm not exactly sure how their ramen is different from other chains - but I do like the fact that they have a lot of different seasonal menu items to try. A little while back they had their gyudon ramen and matcha ramen - which was very unique from anything I've experienced. The gyudon was literally like the rice version, but they have it with noodles. It's a little oily after a while cause the way you make it. But quite comforting and heavy for big eaters. Matcha ramen was alright - didn't feel it was anything specialy, but they use duck pieces rather than pork cha siu. It had a better balance that way and didn't felt too heavy. I'm a tad surprised that this Kinton Ramen got not-so-stellar reviews as of late. In contrast, I had a fabulous experience. My worst experience at any Kinton has been its Richmond Hill location. Staff got my order wrong, fished out bamboo shoot that I clearly stated that I didn't want, and did not care if I may or may not have a food allergy by giving me the same bowl of ramen. I had come to CF Markville Mall to pick up an order at Swarovski. I used mall entrance 1 to get there. I passed by this Kinton Ramen on my way over. I was ready for an early dinner. It was probably 4 pm on a Monday. I drove over here from my workplace in Mississauga. I thought that it would be great to give this eatery a try. The only downside is that you don't have mall access to this eatery. If you're in the mall, you have to to exit it through entrance 1 and then use the separate Kinton Ramen entrance. It's a bit inconvenient. I'd probably be more annoyed if I had a ton of shopping bags full of goods and winds were at 80 km/h for me to exit the mall and get into this eatery. Luckily, it was a nice day and I had a small bag. I entered the eatery and was greeted immediately by a female staffer. I asked for a table and got one with a view of Churchill's Cigar and Gift. It was also fun to people-watch as I ate. I looked at the menu. The burnt shoyu ramen looked good. I lucked out, as this ramen was a part of a Kinton combo. Yes! I got these items as part of my combo: - Sparkling yuzu lemonade - Pork gyoza (4) - Burnt shoyu with thick ramen and corn I got a cup with cold water. It was refreshing and much needed. It was refilled regularly. I am a fan of sparkling drinks. I love yuzu. Put them in a lemonade and I am happy. The sparkling yuzu lemonade was excellent. Yuzu has a more subtle lemony flavour that is so refreshing. It felt fancy having fizzy lemonade. I loved this drink so much. The pork gyoza came out next. I got four of them. They were deep-fried. The pork filling was yummy. I loved my bowl of burnt shoyu ramen. The thick ramen noodles were chewy and perfect. The chashu was delicious and flavourful. I loved the dry seaweed, corn, jammy egg, scallions, bean sprouts, and garlic chips. There was a mild burnt flavour to the pork broth that was nice. I couldn't fit dessert in. I was stuffed. I paid my bill at the table with a credit card. I tapped the machine with my card and was done. I used the washroom before I left. It was fancy, from the sink, to complimentary mouthwash. As I was leaving this eatery, I saw a pickup window for takeout orders. It was cool. I like this Kinton a lot. Staff were friendly and competent. The food and drink were excellent. I'll be back. The other thing I really liked was the tableside fried garlic that you could top up your bowl with. I literally unscrewed the lid and emptied out a third of the fried garlics into my bowl. SOOO GOOD.
