Came to this place on a whim, there are so many yummy looking restaurants in the area but my friend and I settled on Poke. I ordered the DIY style poke bowl (they give you a menu to tick protein, toppings, sauce, and extras), and their boba milk tea. For $12, you get 3 scoops of protein, unlimited types of toppings, and a sauce. I thought it was interesting that they had shrimp tempura on the menu as a protein so I got that in addition to two scoops of salmon. The tempura was very doughy and soggy.... definitely would not recommend.... just stick with the fish. I also didn't appreciate that both avocado and imitation crab meat was an extra dollar or two dollars. I've never been to Burbank so maybe all food is really expensive here, but you can definitely get poke with avocado and crabmeat included for less than $12... the food itself tasted good! But nothing too special in my opinion. I thought the boba was pretty decent though! I liked that you can choose a tea base (I got jasmine green tea, my friend got taro) and then choose to have fresh whole milk or creamer! Not a lot of places do that so I appreciated that. My friend's taro milk tea was pretty creamy and thick and my jasmine milk tea was way more diluted. But both are good (again, nothing that blew me away, but good!) Interior: the interior is pretty small with maybe 4-5 tables. We went at 5:15 and it was not crowded at all! It's actually pretty quiet... I would maybe recommend that they play a little music to liven up the place. Service: the staff were nice and patient with us figuring out our orders. They did get my order wrong (added something I didn't tick, but don't mind eating) so it's not too big of a deal. Tip: a secret menu ingredient for the poke bowl is fried garlic! Went for a quick snack as I was waiting for my bus, went in pretty chill atmosphere, friendly employees. Bought a few rolls and it didn't take long for it be done. Took a few bites and noticed that they pack the roll to the brim. After two rolls, I already felt decently full. The rolls were good too, the rice wasn't soggy or dry and the nori was still crispy to the bite. Furthermore, the price was also good, the two rolls were ~$6 and filled me up, if you went to a different place they usually charge more for a roll or a masubi. Overall, I would say that this place is perfect if you need a quick snack on the go. read more

Horrible service! Not friendly and that new Torrid Courtney new manager at the register is rude as hell! I say hello and not even a hello back, has a horrid attitude and gave my change and fell didn't even bother to pick it up when she was the one that handed it out. I really love this place, every time I pick up from here I am greeted with very nice employees and sometimes even the owner. She is extremely nice and friendly. I have never had a bad experience when ordering from here. Now for the food, very fresh and always exactly how I ordered it. One time I ordered an açaí bowl and they were out of one particular ingredient and they called me to pick a substitute which I thought was cool. My favorite thing about their poke bowl that I don't find in other places is that I can order it with tempura shrimp. I love tempura anything lol. That's a huge plus. Ordered the Yellowtail, Tuna and Salmon rolls. I forgot to ask for them cut only to find out after I received the order they don't cut (WTH not sure what that's about SMH. The rolls weren't impressive as far as taste. I also ordered the Matcha Latte which tasted like a cup of milk hardly no Matcha. I ordered the California roll handroll, the beef bulgogi handroll, and the refreshers which you can choose up to 3 flavors, I chose passion fruit and guava. All very tasty four the price! Very small place. I have had it before and it was good but they changed the menu and it didn't look so great... the bowls were very small and the price is too high. The fish didn't look fresh and they don't have brown rice, only white rice. The management is nice but I think they just charge way too much for what they offer as well as the not so great atmosphere. I hate to write a comparison, but H2O poke has better looking food, better price, a lager selection and has a much cleaner and bigger space. I hope Poke Cafe ups the game soon. read more

This place definitely has potential, but they never have they're full menu, and they're hours are very sporadic. Says they're open until 9, I pull up at 8:30 and they're closed on a random day. I never know if it's actually gonna be open when I drive there. Just too inconsistent. That being said, they have a nice staff with good customer service and the drinks that they actually have are very good. read more

Outstanding service! For food: the salmon hand rolls are so good I've had them probably a dozen times, never disappointed. Perfectly flavored moist rice, fresh salmon, tightly wrapped nori, yum! The sushi burrito is innovative and mine was super well wrapped, the nori was tight. Fresh veggies and lush salmon and tuna. I got mine with the Suracha Mayo and sweet shoyu it was the perfect blend of spicy creamy and sweet. The seaweed salad and two kinds of onion gave great crunch as did the fresh greens. I got half and half greens with their signature rice. Just enough rice for comfort food (plus you nestle your whole face in this thing!) but the greens as balance and texture. Their boba is also solid. I get it half sweet-- it is still really sweet! But what brings these guys to a 5 star plus is the service. I've dealt with 3 workers, all outstanding. Friendly, warm, adaptable they truly put love in the food. I had a mess up with the online ordering (it's only ever happened once the system is usually great, but maybe call ahead to make sure it processed). Anyway they resolved a complicated situation quickly and with grace. Went above and beyond and did so with a great attitude though they were about to close. Bravo y'all!!! read more

I love the food quality but the 1 star is for the cashier/food prepper only person of the day. This is not the first time this happened. Anyone manning the front and kitchen appears to be so overworked/stressed because "I am by myself!" This place should have at least just a cashier and another for kitchen duty. The owner is from Hawaii so you can bet this is an authentic take for what the mainland has to offer. The fish is always top quality and there is a wide variety of sauces. The spicy mayo is probably the most flavorful you'll ever experience and actually spicy! The marinades come in mild, medium, and spicy and the topping sauces range from spicy mayo to a citrus ponzu. I've probably been here around 8-10 by now and although the fish cut size has changed I don't think I've had a bad poke bowel from here. It always tastes really good and it's become my go to place for poke. Some of their workers do make a better bowel than others but the customer service has been great every time. It does seem like the fish quality and quantity sometimes changes but again it's never been bad for me to have complained. Unlike some other poke places they actually give you extra toppings and extra sauce when you ask for it without being charged. I will be coming back. read more

This was genuinely one of my favorite poke places until today. I decided to order delivery through their website, which they advertise as an availability. I ordered which an anticipated delivery time of 4:30 and every 5 min my delivery time online kept extending by 5 min. Finally at 5 I called the store and the employee who answered sounded like he had no idea you could order online, and asked me if it was for pick up and then asked me to call back after 5 min. Extremely unprofessional. I called back after 5 min and he simply said my order would be delivered soon I told him I hoped my ordered hasn't been sitting out too long and our phone call was interrupted by a loud sharp static noise which kept happening. I literally come here at the very least once a week. Their poke bowls are the best that I've ever had. They carry the most ingredients I've ever came across at a poke shop and fresh as well.
