Overall, this place has good food and boba. Personal favorite mango black tea with boba (50% sweetened, the jelly's aren't as good) I haven't had the poke bowls but the hand rolls are delicious especially the avocado, bulgogi, and spam rolls. My favorite poke place in Burbank! They have the most unique toppings and the owner is a native Hawaiian who really knows what they're talking about when it comes to authentic flavors. Ok! I just stumbled upon a gem of a cafe!! Yeah, there are dozens of poke/ boba places popping up here and there but Kokoroll , here in Burbank, has them beat. I'm so glad my bank was closed otherwise I would have never wandered in. One thing that struck me immediately, was how personable the staff was and not in a corny way but real genuine. There menu is perfectly simple and just right for an afternoon snack. They made suggestions and thoughtful tips on ordering and consuming. From using the little white sheet at the bottom of the box to keep your had roll from squishing out the back end, to the amount of sweetness I desired in my Jasmine Tea Boba . Just when I thought that customer service had died. Now to the most surprising discovery and the one that will bring me back again and again, is their Spicy Tuna! Extremely fresh, seasoned perfectly, nice and spicy! They allowed me to add on a few items like cucumber and green onions to my hand roll! Perfection! The Jasmine Tea Boba was not a powder but a fresh brewed tea made to my specifications, lite sugar, and fresh boba, not stale. She had me even taste it to make sure it was perfect! It was. I must add that I haven't written a review in years and I'm so unbelievably busy that I don't have time for reviews but I felt propelled to share with you out there, that there are special little places that combine great food and boba, high quality ingredients, made to perfection, extremely reasonable prices, and above and beyond customer services and Kokoroll is one of them! Portions are too small for what you're paying. My total came out to a little over $13 which is the most I've ever paid for a poke bowl and it was by far the smallest portion I've ever gotten. The bowl is small and they didn't even fill it. Didn't know when I was choosing tempura shrimp as a protein it would be one tiny shrimp. It's not like other poke places where they add stuff to your bowl in front of you, so you can't tell them to add more of this and more of that like other places. Also they don't have that many topping options and you have to pay extra for a lot of toppings. I only got the free toppings and I still had to pay $13. Also wish they would mix the sauce with the proteins and toppings instead of drizzling such a small amount on top. Did taste pretty decent though and spicy mayo was actually spicy unlike other places but I'm still extremely hungry. For the price you'd think they'd have bigger bowls and atmosphere but no. Small bowls and it's definitely a place where you take it to go because it's really lacking atmosphere. H2O Poke was my go-to poke place and it was a block or 2 from this place. They recently closed and I've been trying to find a replacement. This place is definitely not it. read more

I asked for more ginger. with his surprise face he asked his worker 'how many rolls in the box?', 'two', 'just two?'. We do 1 ginger per 2 rolls. Fine. I never given a review on here before but I had to for this place. Customer service was the absolute best there! And the food is delicious. Everything was very customizable. You can choose what to put in your bowls (toppings are UNLIMITED), they have a variety of drinks (you can even choose the level of sweetness you want to put in them), they have açaí bowls and even fish pancakes for dessert! This place is amazing!! I love how well rounded it is giving you various options from smoothies to poke. I had been looking for a good poke place and this is the place to go. The poke tastes extremely fresh and the prices are reasonable. The quality of the food is what I cared about and I was very pleased. The staff was also very nice as I told them it was my first time at this café and they were thrilled to help me out and answer any questions I had and more. We loved the La Cañada location and decided to eat there again, but we went to the Burbank location instead. Mistake. Three girls were "working" behind the counter. If you consider working talking the entire time and texting, then they were doing their jobs well. How can you text when you are behind the counter preparing food for customers? You are touching your phone and touching our food. After waiting forever, we left with our order to eat. Upon removing everything from our bags, we discovered that they did not include a handroll that we ordered and paid for, so we had to go back to the restaurant, tell them they screwed up, and waited another fifteen minutes before leaving again. "Sorry!" was their excuse. Whoever owns this place, you need to train your employees that THEIR mistake for food that customers PAY FOR and WAIT to receive deserves more than a casual "Sorry!". No. YOU screwed up. YOU made me come back and wait. YOU ruined my lunch. "Sorry!" is not enough. How about comping the handroll? How about a free boba? How about a coupon for 10% off?
