My boyfriend and I had ordered take out yesterday. This was my first time trying Koja and my boyfriend had recommended this place. We placed the order through Doordash which mind you, is paid for in advance. My boyfriend goes inside to pickup our order and comes back to the car with one of the workers, named Josephine. She was refusing to give the order to my boyfriend, despite him having my name, phone number and obviously knew exactly what we ordered. Josephine kept saying what he was saying didn't match what was listed. I said fine not a problem and showed her the Doordarsh confirmation from my cell phone and she still was trying to question my name and what I ordered. Josephine was being absolutely ridiculous to the point one of her coworkers came outside as well to try and get her to go in and kept telling her it was fine, that was our order and it was confirmed enough and she still kept on going. The food was great but due to the poor customer service from Josephine, borderline harassing behavior makes me uncomfortable and not sure if I want to return. read more

I tried Koja Kitchen when they were first a food truck and fell in love with their Koja original burgers. I was so excited to hear that they had a brick and mortar location in Walnut Creek and then even more jazzed when I heard they opened up another location in Dublin!! It's so great to see this place become such a success!! The staff works hard, they're super friendly, the food is tasty, and the price points are reasonable! Way to go, Koja!!! If I could give this Fried chicken sandwich and customer service a minus 0 I would!!!....First off my new rule of thumb will be not to order from a restaurant that answers the phone HELLO like their answering their house phone instead of answering with their business name.. I was starving and still the chicken sandwich was the most disgusting sandwich I've ever tried.. Bun was soggy, chicken was dry with no flavor.. I would take a bite and I had to pull at the sandwich with my teeth to pull apart and the chicken (questionable) would shred of into a huge bite and with the soggy bun it became an unappetizing mess.. Again I was really hungry so i are 3 quarters of it and then I was done struggling with the sloppy no taste sandwich.. I can't believe they have 4 over all stars.. I'm beyond frustrated right now. I placed an online order and went to pickup but was given someone else's order. I spent just shy of $50 and got someone else's order that was completely different. The place closed just after which I get isn't their issue but that really sucks. I hope they can fix this tomorrow because I'm at a loss for money and the order is not at all appetizing. This is a super casual place to grab a quick and tasty bite! I had the KoJa burger the first time and this past week I tried the pork bowl with brown rice. I would def order both items again! Both choices had tons of flavor, and the kimchi and fresh lemon wedge in the pork bowl balanced out the pork. Service is very friendly too! Thank you! read more

so I love Koja but this location missed the mark compared to Berkeley. They did not include the lemon slice which makes the Chicken Koja and it was very sloppy with little lettuce or tomato. No thanks, would rather stick to the original in Berkeley since this was such a disappointment read more

While Koja kitchen is on the pricer side and parking there is actual hell sometimes, the food is great. I come here pretty often and have enjoyed their chicken bowls from time to time. They, for me, are a bit more filling than the kojas, but any koja with some kamikaze or umami fries will get the job done too. The chicken always tastes consistent and delicious, with the salad and kimichi, it's honestly so bomb. I just wish they had Coke instead of Pepsi :,(. The place is generally as well clean and is an asthetic place to eat at. The chairs are super heavy and sturdy too so you won't get knocked off your seat anytime soon. read more

Nice to see this in Dublin! Normally go to the Walnut Creek one when we're in the area. Finally checked it out the other day! Bad decision to go after noon, parking is ridiculous. Walked in, no line but packed (small location compared to WC) ... no where to sit! I decided to go with kamakazi fries and a taco. Portions are small for the price but I love the food. Love love love Koja Kitchen. I always order their braised beef bowl, half salad, half brown rice. I normally don't finish my meals but I can't help but finish my bowl each time I order at Koja. I'm not a fan of their fries, but "the original" more than makes up for it. We go there like once every other week and I always get the same thing. My husband really likes their fries tho. I looked on there menu to see if it said what they put on the sandwich but that particular sandwich fixin wasn't listed. My husband got the beef bulgogi burger. Both of our sandwiches fell apart and were very messy to eat. And the kamakazi fries were very tasty just not enough for two adults. My two daughters got bowls and my daughters boyfriend got a bowl and the kamakazi fries as well. The bill was $68.00. I guess that's ok. I guess it's ok. Two words: Kamakazi Fries. They are to die for. Service is ok, the rest of the food is fine as well but the kamikaze fries make up for the rest of the areas that could use improvement. This place can get pretty busy and is in one of the WORST shopping centers in the area so I do not recommend going around lunch or dinner time. read more

Pretty good and unique place. Food is different than what you'd find elsewhere. However, it's pretty expensive and one rice sandwich isn't going to fill you up. We did take out and had the pork tacos, chicken tacos and the Korean buffalo wings. The wings had a great spice and weren't soggy at all. The pork tacos were a great combination of pork, coconut milk and arugula (and other ingredients). That combination was just sooo good. It was all delicious. The food is so flavorful and the prices are great!! The miso-coconut braised pork definitely has a coconut flavor, which I don't like, but that's just my preference. My first review was based on the price I was charged online. I was surprised to get a call from Koja Kitchen telling me they were sorry for what had happened and called grub hub to get me a refund. I didn't really expect to get it because when I called grub hub they told me it wasn't possible. I was surprised to see that I actually did get the refund. I wish I could remember the name of the person that called me from Koja Kitchen, but wanted to thank him for following through with what he had promised to do. Now that, is great service. Thank the Savior of Your Choice! Finally, a KoJa Kitchen right near work and home. I followed them for years when they had only food trucks. After moving and a new job, I thought I may never see them again. Now, dangerously close...only a danger to my wallet because I could eat here every day. Flavors are amazing. Staff is great. KoJa Original and Kamikaze Fries are my go to every time. This place simply rocks.I guess I can keep of any extra pounds by walking from my office every day for lunch.
