My first review was based on the price I was charged online. I was surprised to get a call from Koja Kitchen telling me they were sorry for what had happened and called grub hub to get me a refund. I didn't really expect to get it because when I called grub hub they told me it wasn't possible. I was surprised to see that I actually did get the refund. I wish I could remember the name of the person that called me from Koja Kitchen, but wanted to thank him for following through with what he had promised to do. Now that, is great service. Thank the Savior of Your Choice! Finally, a KoJa Kitchen right near work and home. I followed them for years when they had only food trucks. After moving and a new job, I thought I may never see them again. Now, dangerously close...only a danger to my wallet because I could eat here every day. Flavors are amazing. Staff is great. KoJa Original and Kamikaze Fries are my go to every time. This place simply rocks.I guess I can keep of any extra pounds by walking from my office every day for lunch. I've been here 4 times at this point and can confidently give a 4 star rating and say this place is worth a try. The first time I came here my eyes were bigger than my stomach as I didn't know how big these little rice sandwiches were. They're big enough that one could satisfy me without needing much else. That being said the actual taste of everything here is damn good. The flavors of what each dish is going for is spot on and I think they do a great job overall. It's nicely placed in a shopping center across from the movie theaters with other restaurants and businesses nearby - though this being said that means other places may compete for your stomachs attention. This isn't really a sit down place as it is more if a; take out, door dash or on your lunch break type place. With this in mind you may get a cashier that's nice and helpful if you have questions or someone going through the motions - but that's par for the course. read more

For 2 people, ordered the Original KoJa and a Beef Bowl. Both tasted great, but the Original KoJa was a little small, and a little pricey considering the size. Still hungry after I finished. Also, the rice buns fell apart, making it a little messy. Skip the rice patties and get one of the bowls instead. read more

My husband and i ordered the original ko ja and beef koja and umami fries. Taste wise it was good however it is very hard to eat the Ko ja. Not sure if there is a different way to eat it but it got very messy. Fries were good as well with a little spiciness to it. read more

Kind of cool concept but not sure if it worked for me. Really well thought out menu items on many levels. However, condiment and sauces lack quite a bit. Bland is okay but you cant depend on sriracha and soy to be your best sauce. There were some others but I forgot about them. But a couple spices here and there and it could rock. Ordered short rib bowl to go. Everything was cool in temp. Not hot and not cold. Rice was from the day before and not reheated sufficiently to have rice become non crunchy day old rice tasting. Meat was braised and meh. Flavor was good but texture was that of a beef stew not a Korean short rib. Kim Chee was lacking any flavor or fermentation or fish. Very disappointed. We had started KoJa with their Emeryville store, always good food right to the dots, so we think we will give Dublin a try. We ordered the usual bowls and kamikaze fries, expected the usual excellence experience. Well, let me tell you: it's a B- copy cat. First of all, the rices of the bowl was lukewarm, adding cold salad on top of it it's just not a good taste. Then the famous fries... half of the fries were warm the other half was cold and still. The served was definitely a mix of old fries with some fresh ones. It tasted so bad we had to return it. The whole experience was like eating leftovers. Very disappointed. read more

After being stuck on the bart all day we finally got off at the Dublin station and Koja Kitchen immediately caught my eye. The food was delicious but the portion could've been a bit bigger for the price. It's surprisingly busy as well! Inside is a little small so if it's packed, your best bet is to take it to go. The staff was okay, the cashier was a little rude but I'm guessing she was just tired. I got the beef bowl, that burger thing, and the kamikaze fries with two drinks for $35. I ordered from doordash and it came in less than 25 minutes. I'm very impressed, the food was still warm and it came with a lot of portions. I ordered 10 minutes before closing and still got my food in time! However, it seems that the crab is imitation. We were on our way to the Night Market when we changed our mind and decided to eat at Koja's instead. Same great fusion-Instagram worthy food without the long lines and dust. We were greeted by courteous and friendly young ladies who took the time to listen to our concerns with food allergies. My son has Celiac Disease and cannot eat wheat products. The young lady was very patient and thorough at explaining how to customize my son's chicken dish. My husband and I had their original KoJa which is the Asian answer to the American burger. The Original KoJa is a creative concoction of short ribs on rice buns. Rice Buns!!! My Asian palate was in heaven!
