When in east bay it's quite difficult to find viet food, and it's even harder to find one as charming and authentic as this one! I'd say what makes them stand out is their grilled pork. We tried out several of their pork dishes. The vermicelli, the banh mi and spring rolls and they were all awesome. you won't find quality like this even if you visit south bay. i also tried the fried rice which i'm less impressed by but i'm just not a fan of the mayo flavor i tasted. outside the quality of the food i appreciated the kind and prompt service of the workers here. the energy in the room was great as well. a little viet oasis in the heart of east bay will definitely be returning! read more

Went here for a quick bite. I was charging my car in the same plaza. I ordered the popcorn chicken and Thai owed tea. Everything was made to order. The popcorn chicken was quite delicious and they use real chicken and their own batter. It was very good. Not the best popcorn chicken I had before but it was a good choice. The Thai iced tea was very delicious one of better Thai iced tea I've had in the area. Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite or a casual dining experience. Great Pho spot! The tendon melts in your mouth and isn't chewy at all, which I appreciated. The broth also good, I didn't need to add any sauces to it as I have at other places. Server was attentive. Excellent Vietnamese food! It's been years since I've had such a good vermicelli chicken bowl. For drinks, the thai tea and okinawa are great options. I liked the food (and service) so much we went back twice in two weeks! The owner Troy is a really fun guy. He's very welcoming and makes a memorable experience for guests. We came here for an afternoon snack, order lemongrass tofu banh mi, all they did was put lemongrass paste on the bread, tofu was bland, all I can say is, they need to actually try and cook the food instead of cheating and just add paste to everything!!!! Finally tried ovaians one of the shops in the vasco center i hadn't tried yet. My son and I went to lunch, been wanting to try this place because they have a sizzling steak platter similar to the one I used to have at a great viet Cafe in San jose and sorry to say it didn't live up to my expectations oddly enough it lacked flavor which is hard to do with viet food, my son had the chicken and rice and said it was great which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 3. Their springs rolls are always fresh and good in portion. The chicken pho is not bad but sometimes the chicken may taste a little try. Standard beef pho is good. Five stars! The supercharger brought me to this place and I had about four food options to choose from including grabbing a quick Starbucks. Thank God I went with this choice! I was craving something light, but feeling. I ordered the bahn mi sandwich with a fresh spring rolls and a mango smoothie. The mango smoothie was a bit icy, but the Boba was very good not hard at all. All the vegetables in my sandwich and fresh spring rolls were fresh and crisp! We had a family group of 12+ people for dinner last night, and I can honestly say the experience was outstanding. The staff was incredible--friendly, attentive, and constantly checking on our table. Everyone was joking with us and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. For a group our size, I was amazed by the level of service. Empty plates disappeared almost immediately, drinks were always refilled, and we never felt forgotten. The food was excellent. Every meal came out hot, fresh, and surprisingly fast considering how large our party was. Not a single person in our group had a complaint. The appetizers were fantastic, and every dish looked and tasted great. I'm pretty sure we put a dent in their beer inventory, yet the service never slowed down. That's a testament to how well the staff works together. If you're planning a birthday party, graduation celebration, family gathering, or any event with a large group, this is the place to go. There's a few things I miss from the old ownership, but there's a lot to love, including new foods! This place has top notch salt and pepper wings and pork egg rolls. They are SO good I keep coming back and ordering them! I also love that you can now sub garlic rice or garlic noodles for any rice dish. It may not be authentic, but when you're REALLY hungry, the grilled pork with egg rolls and garlic noodles are INCREDIBLE. I miss the upscale atmosphere and classy dishes of the old OvAsians. I miss having a quiet lemongrass sea bass plate at lunch while my husband got the yellow curry -- the space always felt very refined. It doesn't so much anymore, the food is a little heavier, a little oilier and more garlicky, and they've dropped those dishes and a few others. BUT the trade off was garlic noodles, better egg rolls, more filling and in some cases more flavorful dishes. They now have more American items on the kids menu. The service is still outstanding and the to-go orders are probably even faster. And I can't recommend the new egg noodles soups enough. Especially the Chinese dish wonton noodle soup, with the Vietnamese flavors. read more

I was not able to get photos because I was so excited to eat. I was greeted and sat very quickly, I went on a less busy afternoon. I was taken care of very well, they made sure my water was always full and that I was always enjoying my meal. I got a build your own pho, and I will say the broth is so rich and delicious. It has so much body that you can tell how much care is put into making the broth. I also got egg rolls, they have the traditional fish sauce but also the sweet and sour dipping sauce. Left month my husband ordered the beef vermicelli plate (as well as others for our family, but I'll tell you about the food from my POV). Delicious! So I ordered again yesterday and today, this time a rice plate for work. With egg rolls. So effing good! The meat they use is ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. So juicy. Ordering on the phone is perfect as long as you have the menu in front of you. They answered any questions you have perfectly. Also ordered the avocado smoothie yesterday and man, this reminds me of the Vietnamese restaurants I used to frequent in San Jose. I'm so glad they're close by. I don't have to drive so far! Both came out to my table at the same time. That was quick for my entree. The egg rolls were hot and delicious. The pickled carrots were a great touch to add flavor with the sauce. The shaking beef, was tender and easy to chew. The mushrooms were flavorful, wasn't too big a fan of the onions. I also got the, Iced Coffee Float. Warning.. the coffee is strong, but the drink had the right amount of sweetness thanks to the foam. ** Vegetarian Review ** Wanted something soupy and found this place on Yelp! It had great reviews and I saw they had some vegetarian options so I decided to try it. Ordered the vegetarian pho via phone and it was ready quite quickly! I ordered a small but when I received it, it looked rather large. The broth was delicious and flavorful and the entire dish was well put together and tasted yummy! I ate the whole thing, slurping my way through as well! The people in the restaurant (guy at the register and lady who handed me my food) were friendly and the lady was also considerate as she also packed in some sauce packets, napkins, chopsticks, spoon, and fork!
