When my husband and I first came here in 2024 the food and service were excellent and fresh tasting. The manager at the time was professional and welcoming, while every visit was ALWAYS consistent. However since he left, this place has definitely lost their taste and service. For the last year and a half every visit has been bowls made so inconsistently. With heavy, and I do mean heavy handed sauce or ginger or rice/salad ratio. No bowl is ever consistent with every visit. We stopped going here for a couple months and tried it out again today and this time has been the worst. For some reason there's white cottage consistency at the bottom of the bowl, excessive amount of ginger, and the salmon tastes like it's been sitting in the fridge for days. If you are looking for high quality fish and a consistent poke bowl, go to a poke spot in Chandler.

Kobito Poke is definitely a must try! This was my first time coming here, and I'm already looking forward to coming back soon. They have a wide selection of different types of protein, add ins, sauces, and toppings to choose from. I got the small, which is 2 scoops of protein. I highly recommend trying the Hawaiian Tuna, it was my favorite! They also have a lot of sauces that I have never seen at other poke places. Needless to say, I was very happy with the amount of food I received in my bowl and the quality of how everything tasted. Highly recommend!

I came here on a whim to order lunch and even though it was a bit of a drive the place is bright, fresh, vibrant, and fresh n a great location. I was quickly greeted and once it got down to brass tax, the menu was abundant and delicious. They have "pre-built" options or "make you own", and either way you cannot go wrong. Check this joint out

The service person making the orders was very nice! Could tell enjoyed their job! Even told Dad jokes! Haha The bowl was yummy and full of protein. I got the Hawaiian Trio with Octopus. I saw another 2 enjoying their lunch who weren't sure what sauce they would like so the employee gave them a taster cup of each one to find their favorite! That was Nice!! Restaurant was small but modern and new!! They even cater large parties! Thought that was pretty cool to keep in mind for future. Unlike most poke places they also have chicken and tofu options to meet all dietary restrictions and needs!! Because I was wearing my work shirt - serving the Chandler-Gilbert community, I was given a small discount. That was much appreciated!! I will definitely come back. It's only 10 minutes drive from my site. Next time I was to try the Mochi and miso! I took mines to go this time.

Small Poke Bowl w/salmon & Hawaiian tuna

Clean shop and friendly owner! Stopped by here for the first time and got a small poke bowl (includes two scoops of protein). The fish seemed fresh and there were plenty of topping options. Majority of the toppings are similar to other poke places, but I did notice they have shaved brussels sprouts, which is something you don't typically see. My poke bowl breakdown: - Base: Combo (rice + greens) - Protein: 1 scoop salmon, 1 scoop Hawaiian tuna - Sauce: Koibito House + Citrus Ponzu - Toppings: edamame, cucumber, green onion, ginger, masago, cilantro, seaweed salad, crab mix - Dry toppings: furikake, fried onions I got a small bowl, which looked pretty small at first, but once you eat everything, it's actually very filling! Will be back :)

I just adore Koibito Poke. I love the freshness of the fish and veggies/toppings. I do think Koibito is the best poke spot in the East Valley easily. My favorite fish is the marinated tuna and I usually pair it with salad/brown rice. The toppings and sauces are so good too! They have great customer service on top of that. I tried their miso soup with tofu which was also good, soothing. They have available are mochi and teas/lemonades along with typical soda drinks. The ambiance is nice, clean and brightly lit. I look forward to coming back here always

Spam musubi is less than an inch thick. It should be at least 2 inches. And one of my orders didnt even have spam on it.

The free one I threw away next to the one I ate half of sadly

Where do you get your Ahi?

Hey Judith, we get our seafood form two different sources. One is an international Japanese food distributor, and the other is a domestic food distributor. I believe the salmon is from the north Atlantic and the tuna comes from the Pacific…

Select cocktails and wines were $8, so we ordered the Bee's Knees and their seasonal white. Also on the happy hour menu was $8 shishito, $9 garlic dashi fries, $6 kashiwa (chicken skewer). The citrus roll seems to be a favorite, but I really enjoyed the Big 'N Spicy Roll. Dessert: def get the mango kakigori. Looking forward to going back to try more next time I'm in the valley.

I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

Our…read moreserver was great and really helped us figure out what to order since there were a lot of options on the menu. She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

The first time I came was when they originally opened, so had a few hiccups and sushi was okay. Now years later, I would have expected better quality fish, rolls, the way they cut their fish etc. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Came with a friend, she said she enjoyed this place. I ended up ordering two rolls for myself. Can't remember the names now, but the rolls were flavorless even with sauces that went on top (I actually asked for more and still didn't have much flavor), the cuts of fish were very skimpy/thin and uneven, my sushi rolls themselves also lacked ingridients inside and were so small. As shown in my pictures. I ended up taking the left overs home to show my spouse and to see what he thought, thinking maybe my taste buds were off, and I was being extra and he was in shock that I actually ate some of it and didn't say anything. For rolls costing $15+ I would hope for a bit thicker cuts of fish since that's what I'm paying for, not closer to paper thin... I was truly so disappointed.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.
