If you haven't eaten at Koi Noodles (west loop), you're really missing out. With the classic look of a japanese restaurant, but, at the same time, it seems to be casual.l and unassuming. Everyone feels comfortable here. Where else can you get home made pork wantons and crab rangoon? The pork belly crisps are so delicious and the Host Cocktails are wonderful! We enjoyed the Pear Blossom special, Lychee Beachy, Tokyo Old Fashioned, and Lychee Lemonade and we would highly recommend all of them! Our entrees, Wagyu Short Rib Noodles (they were amazing!) and Curvy Seafood Udon. I didn't have any more room but when I heard dessert was chocolate mousse , I couldn't resist. It was a dream dessert! We loved it so much we even got our picture on the wall of fame! Check out Koi Noodles for yourself at 163 N Sangamon Street in Chicago.

Great, well-priced spot that's perfect for the cold weather!! Also had the sweetest server who was very attentive and welcoming. We got: - crab rangoons ($7 off the happy hour menu) - pork wonton soup ($15) the wonton soup had like 8-10 giant wontons with the most flavorful filling, super good! Their chili oil on the table was also the perfect addition. Signed up for their VIP list to get a complimentary ube cheesecake!

We ordered a variety of items off the menu and for the most part it was good. Kalbi was a bit too salty for me. The tofu was good as well as the noodles. Service is great and there's an open feeling there with high ceilings and plenty of space between tables.

Koi Noodles hits the mark with a cool vibe, excellent prices, and massive, fresh portions. The service was prompt, friendly, and provided great recommendations. The Highlights: * Starters: Crispy chicken wings (all drummettes! ) and pork wontons with two killer dipping sauces. * Mains: The Sichuan Beef Lanzhou Noodles were perfectly balanced with great texture, while the Seafood Curry Udon was rich and steaming hot. * Drinks & Dessert: The Lychee Beachy drink was delicious, and the mango sorbet was a fresh finish. Everything was hot, flavorful, and high-quality. They have great specials and happy hour too! We'll definitely be back!

What a cool treat! Just moved to town 3 weeks ago and I saw Koi Noodles and I wanted to check it out. From the location, food, and curated cocktails, my Hubby and I enjoyed Koi Noodles immensely! We had a couple of shots first, then we had 3 apps. The edamame was to die for! That garlic butter on the edamame was incredible! The vegan wontons were amazing! Such great flavor! The salt and pepper wings were on point! Nice and crispy and seasoned well! We shared the Ying and yang noodles and they were AMAZING! Hand pulled noodles from Scratch? Hello! Yummy! The staff here were so awesome and enjoyable! We felt we were at a friend's home, that's how welcoming and friendly Lindsey and her team were to us! Thank you for great service! The crafted cocktails? Yummy! We had a couple of shots first which were so smooth! Then we shared the 5 spice mangorita which was awesome! So on point! The restaurant is decorated so nice and we loved the wood and Asian influences on the walls, the decor is inviting. We can't wait to return for Brunch! Support local businesses!

EXCELLENT happy hour! I had their 5 spice mango-rita, which was a delicious cocktail, their salt and pepper wings (YUMMMM), and their bulgogi short rib in their original noodle soup. I honestly was blown away with the quality of the food and drink. The service was also above and beyond. Our server was so fun and attentive, and our food came out in a reasonable time. The vibe of the place is a nice place to go for dinner and drinks but still casual. You can dress up or dress down and feel comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Really friendly staff and great atmosphere / decor! Enjoyed the apps a LOT! My noddle dish was also good but the meat was a little fatty

Love Koi Noodles! I got the ramen which had a super flavorful broth and a PERFECTLY cooked egg, which is often a miss at ramen places. We got several appetizers. The fried tofu was one of the best things I've ever had. This is a newer place, but the service was outstanding and the interior design was super cute! Hoping this place sticks around, as it's a great casual dining option!

I love the layout and detailing of the restaurant. Food came out super fast! Would definitely recommend the Wagyu brisket ramen noodles 10/10. Noodles were super fresh and chewy, just the way I like it Crab Rangoon was also perfect!

Among the many different Italian, American, fancy restaurants in west loop, Koi noodles is a fresh choice for authentic Asian food. We enjoyed our meal in this clean bright space on a Friday night at the perfect location close to all the west loop action. They have great deals - we took advantage of the buy one get one soju bottles and got to try the lychee and yogurt flavor. Both were tasty! Service was great and quick as well. The staff really cares about the authenticity and quality of the food. We certainly could tell through the presentation and taste of the dishes as well! We started with the koi combo for appetizer, and this had a little sampling of everything. Everything in this sampler was so tasty - especially the bulgogi meat. I definitely recommend this dish to start. I also got a salad that paired nicely with the rest of the meal. For our entree, we shared the signature noodle soup made spicy with beef. This was delicious and kind of like a spicy beef ramen. I had a side of kimchi, and we also ordered the garlic edamame. Everything was amazing. The flavors, quality and presentation were all impressive. My mouth is watering thinking of this meal and can't wait to go back to try more dishes!

Such a cute spot! The decor and vibes are immaculate. Lot of seating and they have patio seating as well. For drinks, we tried the lychee beachy, yuzu spritz, lavender mule and pear blossom special. All the drinks were tasty and they did not skimp on the alcohol lol it was great!! My favorite was the yuzu spritz. For food, we ordered the chicken wings, pork belly crisps, salt and pepper tofu, crab rangoons, koi noodle soup, sichuan double scallion and yin & yang. So thankful they recommended the egg tofu, that might've been my favorite part of the meal!!! *currently looking up how to make it at home* lol the battering on the wings, pork belly and tofu was sooo crispy and well-seasoned. I ordered the sichuan double scallion with sichuan beef shank and jalapeños. I have a decent spice tolerance and it wasn't overly spicy, enjoyable and the beef shank was super tender! Everyone enjoyed their noodles/soup dishes. Service was great! Everyone was so friendly, attentive and helpful. They even have employee recommendations on their menu, so cute! That's actually how I chose my order lol They have bottomless mimosas with lychee and guava juice on the weekends for $35. I'm coming back for that and 5 orders of the tofu hahah. Def recommend trying this spot out!!

Nice little spot off of Randolph. Good happy hour until 7pm on weekdays. Lots of ways to customize your soups, but the add ons can raise the price pretty quickly - probably my only pet peave of this place. Signatire soup has fresh broth that isn't over bearing or salty. Servers were nice and the manager checked in on us which was a nice gesture. A nice change from the ramen staples in the area!

The cold gluten salad is a true highlight here, with an impeccable springy texture and an absolutely perfect mix of chili oil and sesame in the seasoning. The flatbread was also a standout, being perfectly crunchy and flavorful alongside a cumin lamb with a good punch. I was less impressed by the hand-pulled noodles. The soup itself was fine, as were the lamb intestines (though I really prefer them grilled). However, for hand-stretched noodles, the noodles were just lacking and missing something. Maybe wheat noodles get better the further west you go, and it just isn't quite Lanzhou style.

I tried the biang biang noodles, but which was a bit bibimbap-esque with the tomato and egg, black bean pork, braised beef, and minced sauce. This was awesome as I love each ingredient individually but normally can't choose between which noodle bow I want. Mixed together, this creates a heavenly flavor of sweet, sour, and umami. The biang biang noodles were thick, chewy and bouncy, and like wider longer belts. The texture was actually so addicting and I devoured my bowl almost instantly. My friend got the Szechuan spicy vermicelli pot with beef, but this needed a bit more flavor and spice. Adding vinegar helped! Our server was super nice and friendly and helped us pack all our leftovers too.

I'd ordered Homura, and stepped away to wash my hands. Just as I was sitting down, the bowl of hot fresh goodness was placed in front of me. Even when the place was busy, the service remains lighting-quick! friendly and attentive too! As for the bowl, it was absolutely fantastic! Upon mixing, everything went together perfectly. The flavors were tremendously savory and rich, with accents from the egg, seasonings, veggies, and a healthy amount of meat. The noodles were cooked perfectly too! The bowl was perfect as is, and needed nothing. I was worried the bowl would be dry, but this couldn't be farther from the truth, especially with the ladle of liquid on the bottom, everything was perfect! Now, there are various seasonings and flavor enhancers on the table, but they weren't needed, in my opinion. If you do choose to add some, be careful, as some pour fast and heavy! After happily slurping this thing down in record time, I also ordered a single helping of Chashu, as I generally love it and wanted to try. It too was brought to me in no time, and was thin, well balanced, and melted in my mouth. Where it comes to value, the bowl was $13.50, and the slice of chashu was $1.50, IIRC. Great, especially in light of what everything costs nowadays. Final verdict: Kajiken came, and it DELIVERED. Everything from start to finish was top notch, and for a very fair value of $13.50 for a fresh, tasty, and filling bowl of goodness.

But the ambiance of the restaurant was really nice and clean, decorated with lanterns and a wood themed interior The ramen was pretty lackluster - the noodles were very tough and under done and the broth was less savory than I would've liked for a tonkotsu. The soba noodles were flavorful but also could've been cooked better. For a $20+ dish I felt the portions were disappointing, especially since I think I was missing some toppings Overall, id be down to eat here again and would probably have a better experience the second time around if dining in instead

Soup dumplings that immediately became the kids' personal obsession. Shu mai that hit every time. BBQ pork buns in every form they offered because obviously.
