You need to go to Koi Noodles (west loop), and soon! Tastefully decorated, this is the perfect place for date night, meeting friends or even dining alone. Combine their home made pork watons and crab rangoon with their made in house specialty sauces, sweet mayo and apricot sweet and sour and you have a winning combination. The pork belly crisps are also a great way to start your meal. To drink, I had theTokyo Old Fashioned, and it was great! I had the Curvy Seafood Udon, It's spicy with just the right amount, not too hot, the curry is what makes the taste. We also like that l, there are no spoons here, they give you a ladle to eat with and you really need it! This is not for lightweights! Don't skip dessert, it was a delicious chocolate mousse

Decent spot for ramen noodles. Recommend coming with friends for happy hour or for sharing appetizers!

If you haven't eaten at Koi Noodles (west loop), you're really missing out. With the classic look of a japanese restaurant, but, at the same time, it seems to be casual.l and unassuming. Everyone feels comfortable here. Where else can you get home made pork wantons and crab rangoon? The pork belly crisps are so delicious and the Host Cocktails are wonderful! We enjoyed the Pear Blossom special, Lychee Beachy, Tokyo Old Fashioned, and Lychee Lemonade and we would highly recommend all of them! Our entrees, Wagyu Short Rib Noodles (they were amazing!) and Curvy Seafood Udon. I didn't have any more room but when I heard dessert was chocolate mousse , I couldn't resist. It was a dream dessert! We loved it so much we even got our picture on the wall of fame! Check out Koi Noodles for yourself at 163 N Sangamon Street in Chicago.

Great, well-priced spot that's perfect for the cold weather!! Also had the sweetest server who was very attentive and welcoming. We got: - crab rangoons ($7 off the happy hour menu) - pork wonton soup ($15) the wonton soup had like 8-10 giant wontons with the most flavorful filling, super good! Their chili oil on the table was also the perfect addition. Signed up for their VIP list to get a complimentary ube cheesecake!

We ordered a variety of items off the menu and for the most part it was good. Kalbi was a bit too salty for me. The tofu was good as well as the noodles. Service is great and there's an open feeling there with high ceilings and plenty of space between tables.

Koi Noodles hits the mark with a cool vibe, excellent prices, and massive, fresh portions. The service was prompt, friendly, and provided great recommendations. The Highlights: * Starters: Crispy chicken wings (all drummettes! ) and pork wontons with two killer dipping sauces. * Mains: The Sichuan Beef Lanzhou Noodles were perfectly balanced with great texture, while the Seafood Curry Udon was rich and steaming hot. * Drinks & Dessert: The Lychee Beachy drink was delicious, and the mango sorbet was a fresh finish. Everything was hot, flavorful, and high-quality. They have great specials and happy hour too! We'll definitely be back!

What a cool treat! Just moved to town 3 weeks ago and I saw Koi Noodles and I wanted to check it out. From the location, food, and curated cocktails, my Hubby and I enjoyed Koi Noodles immensely! We had a couple of shots first, then we had 3 apps. The edamame was to die for! That garlic butter on the edamame was incredible! The vegan wontons were amazing! Such great flavor! The salt and pepper wings were on point! Nice and crispy and seasoned well! We shared the Ying and yang noodles and they were AMAZING! Hand pulled noodles from Scratch? Hello! Yummy! The staff here were so awesome and enjoyable! We felt we were at a friend's home, that's how welcoming and friendly Lindsey and her team were to us! Thank you for great service! The crafted cocktails? Yummy! We had a couple of shots first which were so smooth! Then we shared the 5 spice mangorita which was awesome! So on point! The restaurant is decorated so nice and we loved the wood and Asian influences on the walls, the decor is inviting. We can't wait to return for Brunch! Support local businesses!

EXCELLENT happy hour! I had their 5 spice mango-rita, which was a delicious cocktail, their salt and pepper wings (YUMMMM), and their bulgogi short rib in their original noodle soup. I honestly was blown away with the quality of the food and drink. The service was also above and beyond. Our server was so fun and attentive, and our food came out in a reasonable time. The vibe of the place is a nice place to go for dinner and drinks but still casual. You can dress up or dress down and feel comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Really friendly staff and great atmosphere / decor! Enjoyed the apps a LOT! My noddle dish was also good but the meat was a little fatty

Love Koi Noodles! I got the ramen which had a super flavorful broth and a PERFECTLY cooked egg, which is often a miss at ramen places. We got several appetizers. The fried tofu was one of the best things I've ever had. This is a newer place, but the service was outstanding and the interior design was super cute! Hoping this place sticks around, as it's a great casual dining option!

I love the layout and detailing of the restaurant. Food came out super fast! Would definitely recommend the Wagyu brisket ramen noodles 10/10. Noodles were super fresh and chewy, just the way I like it Crab Rangoon was also perfect!

Among the many different Italian, American, fancy restaurants in west loop, Koi noodles is a fresh choice for authentic Asian food. We enjoyed our meal in this clean bright space on a Friday night at the perfect location close to all the west loop action. They have great deals - we took advantage of the buy one get one soju bottles and got to try the lychee and yogurt flavor. Both were tasty! Service was great and quick as well. The staff really cares about the authenticity and quality of the food. We certainly could tell through the presentation and taste of the dishes as well! We started with the koi combo for appetizer, and this had a little sampling of everything. Everything in this sampler was so tasty - especially the bulgogi meat. I definitely recommend this dish to start. I also got a salad that paired nicely with the rest of the meal. For our entree, we shared the signature noodle soup made spicy with beef. This was delicious and kind of like a spicy beef ramen. I had a side of kimchi, and we also ordered the garlic edamame. Everything was amazing. The flavors, quality and presentation were all impressive. My mouth is watering thinking of this meal and can't wait to go back to try more dishes!

Such a cute spot! The decor and vibes are immaculate. Lot of seating and they have patio seating as well. For drinks, we tried the lychee beachy, yuzu spritz, lavender mule and pear blossom special. All the drinks were tasty and they did not skimp on the alcohol lol it was great!! My favorite was the yuzu spritz. For food, we ordered the chicken wings, pork belly crisps, salt and pepper tofu, crab rangoons, koi noodle soup, sichuan double scallion and yin & yang. So thankful they recommended the egg tofu, that might've been my favorite part of the meal!!! *currently looking up how to make it at home* lol the battering on the wings, pork belly and tofu was sooo crispy and well-seasoned. I ordered the sichuan double scallion with sichuan beef shank and jalapeños. I have a decent spice tolerance and it wasn't overly spicy, enjoyable and the beef shank was super tender! Everyone enjoyed their noodles/soup dishes. Service was great! Everyone was so friendly, attentive and helpful. They even have employee recommendations on their menu, so cute! That's actually how I chose my order lol They have bottomless mimosas with lychee and guava juice on the weekends for $35. I'm coming back for that and 5 orders of the tofu hahah. Def recommend trying this spot out!!

We ordered like the PERFECT amount of food and best variety. Roast duck: I honestly don't know if I've ever had duck before, but I'm a duck believer now. The skin on theirs was the perfect crispy shatter texture and the duck was sooooo juicy! I don't know why I was always so worried about it being gamey. They give you fluffy steamed bao buns, a sauce, and scallions on the side as well as duck fried rice! Turnip cake: Obviously a must any time I come to dim sum. I've never seen turnip in any other form than this. Japanese salt & pepper tofu: My FAVORITE dish ever. Any fried salt & pepper tofu always makes me happy. They use a creamy egg-like tofu and the outside is lightly crispy with amazing aromatics stir fried in. Steamed white rice on the side is perfect with this. Loved everything else my dinner buds picked and we were super full by the end! Service was good and food came out fast and scorching hot! ***Parking in the area is treacherous (not the restaurants fault, but reconsider driving if possible bc cell signal can be zero to none around the garages if you get lucky) ***Their website allows you to request a reservation as long as it's 3 hours before your desired time. We came on a Saturday evening around dinner time and there was plenty of room for us to get a table immediately as walk-ins!

I went with someone who knows the city well, and they recommended the duck fried rice. I had never tried it before, and it was absolutely delicious so flavorful and satisfying. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food, and I'm already looking forward to bringing my friends and family here next time. This is a tough one. Not happy at all. With all of the wonderful legendary Chinese places closing…read moreover the past few years (Kow Kow, Hong Min, Pekin House, and even the best egg rolls at Mee Mah), Sun Wah has been solid over the years- their whole duck is legendary and incredible. BUT, as wonderful as the food is, the last 5 visits have been dreadful. The angry waitresses are part of the deal, but when we're spending a few hundred bucks on dinner, enough is enough. Asking for extra sauce and being told NO- asking for extra bao wrappers and being told NO, asking for extra daikon for the duck when we're given a half full dish in the first place in unacceptable. And like I said, that's part of the deal. And the food is so good that you put up with it. But what happened last week was the last straw. We ordered egg rolls, 2 large dumpling soups, pot stickers, a whole duck, medium ribs, sweet and sour chicken, and for an appetizer, a medium BBQ pork. When the server brought the pork, first, it was cold. I guess that's also the deal. Sometimes it's hot, sometimes totally cold. But this time, and I'm not exaggerating, more than half of the order was pure white fat. Not fatty pork, white solid fat. we tried chewing git to see if there was any meat, but no. So, I finally got the servers attention and showed her. She looked at it, and then walked away. I assumed she was going to bring us a new order. Instead, the owner walked over. I showed her the 2 plates- 1 plate with half of the solid white fat, and the other plate with chewed up fat pieces. Instead of apologizing and bringing over a new order, she said "sometimes the pigs we get are very fatty". So I replied something like "sure I get that, but you can't serve this to customers" and " can you please bring us a new order of actual pork and not just a plate of fat"??? and she then looks down at both plates and says "you already ate it so we can't do anything. I tell her that, no, I didn't eat anything- you can see a plate with chewed up and spit out fat, but she literally WALKS AWAY. So then of course we wait for her to bring a new order over, but that never happens. And we're loyal customers for many many years, and she knows us. This extreme lack of care for your longtime customers is nauseating. Like I said, we've put up with it for years because we love the food (as well as putting up with the many health code violations over the years), but after this huge fuck you from the owner over a few bucks worth of pork? We're done. And our friends are done. This rude pathetic refusal to admit that you're serving inedible food and take care of your loyal customers with a few dollars in pork will now cost you THOUSANDS of dollars every year, because we have now told 20 of our friends to stop going, and they all agreed with us. A few dishes, like the Duck Fried Rice, Pork Belly, and Beef Noodle Soup, were actually pretty solid. But the rest of the night was just so frustrating that I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The Jiaozi were the first big letdown. The menu said they were beef short rib and bone marrow, but they didn't taste like that at all. The filling was just super mushy and the flavor was just weird. The manager and the food runner were nice when we mentioned it, but our actual server was a disaster. When we tried the Goat Noodles, all we could taste was cumin. It was so overwhelming that it covered up everything else. We couldn't even tell if there was actually any goat shoulder in there. When we told our waiter, she couldn't care less. She got totally defensive, wouldn't even listen to us, and just said, "Oh, I told you when you ordered that the dish is cumin forward" and walked away. It got worse when the bill came. She was holding on to the payment machine so hard and almost yanked it right out of my friend's hand. She was staring at it to see what we were tipping. It was so awkward and incredibly rude. No thank you, no nothing. She just grabbed it and left. The place has potential, but they really need to fix the food and retrain the staff. A cool vibe doesn't make up for bad food and awful service.
