My kids really enjoyed the C Cup and mango aloe Vera drink. They however weren't a fan of the ko fries with bulgogi. I had the fried chicken and it was pretty good which I ate without the sauce. I really didn't like the lemon pepper or sweet and sour sauce. But food can out in a reasonable time, plenty of outdoor seating and area for the kids to play

Came here with my daughter. It was a good simple menu, and the food came out quick! We got a bulgolgi bowl and paired it with Spicy Mayo and Wasabi Mayo. The service was good. It's a small little shop in the middle of the plaza. By the play structure.

Ko Cups is a wonderful place when they first open in Veranda Concord California. The place is situated in an outdoor shopping area with many open seating. Parking plenty. We ordered the beef and chicken bowl. However this time the BBQ chicken very dry and tough! Rice and noodles were fine ! The beef was more shredded and cold. Hopefully it was just this one time. We will visit again to give them another review. The service was helpful and professional.

Good place to have a quick bite inside of the shopping center and the movie theater. Great outdoor seating. I've been coming here since they were opened. Food is always good to get a quick bite. Service is great.

A quick, on-the-go Korean spot in Concord while walking around Veranda. Customer service is always great! Definitely recommend this go-to Korean place. Especially, for the price!

This is one of those fast food Korean spots that provide good service with yummy meats and rice! They have an array of sauces for your tasting pleasure. Not much seating inside but why not take it outside to sit by the water fountains?! It's so beautiful out there.

The food is ok for a takeout place but they need to learn to cook rice. They used too much water and they clumped together.

They need to learn to cook rice. They shouldn't be clumped together and soft as mashed potato.

Such an awesome concept! Delicious Korean barbecue in a hefty little bowl aka "cup". I dig it! I was hanging out in the Veranda one day and decided to grab something quick for dinner. I realized that I hadn't yet tried Ko Cups and decided to give it a whirl. First off, I love the fast casual vibe! Many of the Korean bbq spots around these parts are larger sit down restaurants that are primarily meant for larger parties to dine in at. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, it makes it difficult for solo diners to enjoy a casual and lest costly meal. With Ko Cups, you get the same Korean barbecue taste but without the pricey cost and sit down experience. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the staff. Told them that it was my first time there and they explained the ordering process. You choose a cup of your choice and customize the sides to your liking or keep them as is. I ordered the B-cup which contains grilled beef ribeye bulgogi with rice, corn, lettuce, and japchae noodles. There are various sauces on a counter in the back that you can choose from to top off your bowl. I topped mine off with mild gochujang mayo and sesame mayo. It was so damn flavorful! The bulgogi was tender and sweet. The combination of everything went so well together. It's like a mini Korean bento squeezed together in a bowl. I truly enjoyed it. For the price, you really get a lot of food in that bowl! The bowl will run you about $10 which is an absolute steal for dinner these days. Plus, you can enjoy your meal while relaxing in the outdoor space in the Veranda. I can't believe that I didn't try this place sooner. This will without a doubt be a regular grub spot for me when I'm hanging out in the Veranda now.

In a nutshell; ok food to just chill while hanging out in the nice plaza. The bulgogi cup I got was fairly decent. Good amount of bulgogi, egg was ok, good amount of rice. The fries are bit of a disappointment though, I paid for bbq chicken add-on and it was very dry. The fries itself are ok, wasn't too greasey but thought it'd be better. Wasn't difficult to get a seat, plenty of chairs and tables around. Nice plaza to just relax and eat at. Overall ok place to just stop by if you're looking for some easy asian/korean food.

I was craving Korean food last week and I wanted something fast and casual. I searched my trusty Yelp app and found Ko Cups. I got a Combo Cup $9 which comes with two proteins of your choice, rice, lettuce and noodles. I got an additional fried egg on top for $1. I chose the bulgogi and chicken bites as my protein and both were very good. I asked for a lid for my food and a to-go bag since I didn't think I'd be able to finish it. Surprisingly I was able to eat it all which is rare for me. Perfect for a quick, yummy meal. Ko Cups is located at the Veranda right in front of the theater. There's no indoor seating but there's plenty of outdoor seating. The day I came, there happened to be a live band at the Veranda so I got to enjoy my food with some entertainment. Great place! I'll be back for another meal soon!

Met up with family at this restaurant for a weekday lunch. I'm not well-versed on Korean cuisine,…read moreand there are only a few dishes I feel safe ordering with the short ribs being one of them. Our group ordered the 2 meat/2 soup special for 4 persons and it was definitely enough food for our group. The short ribs were excellent and I even enjoyed the soups (not sure what they're called, but one was pork and one was beef). Excellent service throughout and the place was very busy. Parking could be a challenge depending on the time of day as it's shared with other merchants.

Something against Filipinos? Or me? Did I do something wrong? I ordered bibimbap and so did my dad. My sister got tofu soup. My mom was sharing soup with her. It was obnoxiously loud because there was a birthday being celebrated at the table in the middle (not the staff's fault but maybe this got on the staff's nerves?) I asked for 1 refill of the side dishes. 1. Waitress gives us a refill. So that's the initial set of side dishes and 1 refill. As my dad goes up to the back portion of the restaurant to pay, I ask for another refill of side dishes. Lady with shorter hair says, "no." with a stern look of disgust. I go, "uhh..okay." Really weird, that's never happened before, ever. My sister and mom left a few minutes prior and got their tofu soup to go because of how loud it was--we weren't done with our meal they just wanted to get out of there. If the soup was still on the table and all 4 of us were sitting down, would she still have said no? We then left a $5 tip (I wanted to give $0 actually after what just happened). As I left the table and went out the door, I saw the waitress looking at our table from the back where you pay, she was checking to see if we even left a tip (because my dad didn't put a tip on the bill as we like to leave cash tips). Just all around bad vibes. I very rarely give 1 star reviews. Actually the food here is unfortunately phenomenal, so if you've never had a bad experience here go ahead and continue eating here it's great. Food portions are terribly small for the price you pay. It's a flat out rip off for the cost. Maybe if their service was good it would justify the cost, but their service as described above, despicable. I know my thoughts are all over the place but I'm a bit rattled still at what just happened. I finished eating there 7:48pm, it's 8:03pm as I'm typing this on my phone in the car while the memory is fresh. That's how irked I am. They did not refill our water or ask to refill our water until I asked, and I only asked once. I saw they asked other tables if they wanted refills of water. That, plus the side dish refill and the short haired lady who's probably the owner saying no? I never want to come back. I felt disrespected, unappreciated, and felt racially profiled like because I'm Filipino she didn't like our kind there or something. The vibes were really off. I'm never coming back here voluntarily. At least that's how I feel right now. My experience, 0/5. The food, unfortunately 4/5, Score: 1 star because that's the lowest I can give it. Expect to see this review on here, Google, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and TikTok. To the owner / waitress who didn't give me refills on the side dishes, if you're reading this: didn't think I'd go this far to share my experience did you? The angry side of me hopes you lose business. The more peaceful side of me hopes you read this, think about what you did and if it was right, and think about your customer service and making people that come to your establishment and paying you to eat your food, happy. Because the look you gave when you said, "no." When I asked for the refill of side dishes, you might as well have spit on my face. That's how it felt. If you feel no remorse over this incident, then I wish poorly on your business, but I doubt this review will affect your profits. Good bye. Never again.

Service was amazing here as the staff attentive. Tangerine Soju slush (5/5): Was going to get the strawberry one, but the staff recommended this one instead. I am so glad I took their advice. It wasn't too sweet and tasted fresh. Beef tartare (5/5): Definitely one of the best I've ever tried. A pile of raw beef pieces on top of slices of pears and topped with a raw egg. The creaminess from the runny egg really enhances the flavors of the beef. The pear was refreshing and added a hint of freshness Seafood pancake (5/5): This was also one of the best I've ever had. There was plenty of seafood and the outter batter was crunchy. Cold noodle (5/5): Was very refreshing on a hot day, but the mustard was very spicy. Probably recommend this if you're not sharing with a large party. Original Kalbijim (5/5): Now time for the star of the show. I really recommend getting it with cheese. Over…read morethe years, though, so many K-bbq restaurants have opened up that unfortunately Gen kind of slipped off my radar. But this week, something came over me, and I decided to give it another shot. Lunch was about $22 per person as of June 2026. I remember going to the Concord location years ago and feeling like the portions were pretty small, even though you could order it as many times as you wanted. This time around though, our experience was completely different. Every order came out piled high like a mountain of meat. Everything was fresh, the marinades were on point. On top of that, our server was so friendly and attentive. Honestly, if I could give this place six or seven stars out of five, I would!!! Honey Soy Beef Belly: Absolutely amazing. The beef was sliced thin with the perfect ratio of meat to fat. The sweet and savory marinade complemented the richness of the beef belly oh so perfectly. I also loved the generous amount of green onions they sprinkled on top, which made this dish even more inviting. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. Beef Belly: This is basically the unseasoned version of the Honey Soy Beef Belly, so the quality of the meat was just as good. The nice thing is that you can customize each bite with the seasonings at the table, whether it's Green Tea Salt, Sesame Oil, or Sweet Soy Sauce. Simple but delicious. Bulgogi: Bulgogi has never been my favorite since I usually prefer savory over sweet, but this was still very good. The beef was tender, the marinade was flavorful, and everything was well balanced. That said, I'd still pick the Beef Belly dishes over this one. Chadol: This beef brisket used to be my go to order at Gen. Somewhere along the way, though, they switched to a leaner cut of meat. So now it wasn't quite as tender as I remembered. Still though, the meat was fresh and tasty. Honestly, it really comes down to your personal preference and whether you enjoy a leaner cut or a fattier cut. Pork Belly: Thick slices of unseasoned Pork Belly that you grill yourself and cut into smaller pieces then dip in Sesame Oil and Salt? Yes please! These were incredibly satisfying. Once cooked, the pork was even still tender and juicy. Easily my favorite pork option. Spicy Marinated Squid This dish had that classic Korean spicy sauce that balances sweet, savory, and spicy flavors super duper well. The squid stayed tender after grilling, it was amazing. I'd definitely order this again. Hotteok: A Korean style pancake filled with Brown Sugar and Peanuts. It's definitely a heavier dessert after a bbq meal than what I usually prefer, but it was still really good. The outside was pleasantly chewy (mochi like texture), while the filling was warm, sweet, and gooey. Kimchi Fried Rice: Don't sleep on this one because their Kimchi Fried Rice was fantastic. It had the perfect balance of tang and savory flavors, and it paired well with all the bbq meats. Super yummy.
