    Wired Greasy Grinder

This visit was two-fold. I was meeting up with a friend as well as taking my daughter for a beverage. We arrived shortly after opening and had a great chat with our beertender. My daughter does not have a taste for beer so she sampled the seltzer and settled on the Cherry Popper. I am always for the dark beers so after trying a sample of the brown and the stout, I chose Wired Greasy Grinder milk stout. The seltzer was interesting as it was not back-sweetened like so many are. It was more like a flavored sparkling water, but with alcohol. She really liked it. The milk stout had a wonderful malty, roasty flavor that I love. When my friend arrived, she chose the same as me and we all sat and enjoyed some conversation. This is a nice location tucked away just off I-25. I look forward to visiting again.

Stop #76 on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour Arrived around 7pm on a Sunday to this young (opened in 2020 brewery) with about half a dozen patrons inside - greeted promptly. The suds-slinger made their recommendations &, I'd trust this guy with my children, he was so spot on. The Wired Greasy Grinder Milk Stout $7/16oz is phenomenal (awards confirm) - incredibly well-balanced & a come-back-for-more flavor. This one went home with us. Blown Tire - a very solid red/amber - no bitter finish, very smooth and easy to drink.

Top Corns a wonderful cream ale!

I had a great corn cream ale at Knuckle Puck Brewing! I had plenty of beer while on vacation and went to plenty of breweries but this is one of the beers that sticks out in my mind it was so good! Top Corns was the name of the of the cream ale that I had. The balance, clean aftertaste, lightness and above all the creaminess made for an expertly made cream ale. I had a smaller pour of it but I could have easily had a larger pour and maybe more than one but I managed to restrain myself. I highly recommend this ale and for anyone that has a fondness for cream ales should definitely check this out for sure!

Went there on 3/11/2023. First time here. Mighty Ducks themed brewery. Very cool! Had a good selection of beer. From light to dark. Bartenders were very friendly. In an industrial area strip mall. Looks like they Can a few of their beers. We tried the raspberry sour, the brown, a wheat and a mango tangerine guava sour. Beers were decent. Brown was really good. Good size patio. Looks like they might serve some food. Def need to come back to try more. Cheers!

Knuckle Puck Brewery, just a few of their exceptional lineup!

Nice outdoor patio, decent beer and good atmosphere. Limited merch selection but liked their logo.

The first thing is that the place was about 2/3 full and they seem pretty well staffed in the front of the house. There were 2-3 bartenders behind the bar at all times. After we ordered (2 cups of lobster bisque and bread), our server apologized and told us there was a large party in their private room and the chef was having a hard time keeping up. I can't imagine they normally only have one person preparing all of the food on a normal Saturday evening! It took no less than 45 minutes from when we ordered to get our food. Some olives or something would have been nice. My mom also had to wait 15 mins for her 2nd glass of wine. I'll tell you, we weren't going to order anything else after that! There was some really nice classical guitar music by a live musician. I tipped him on our way out. After we left, we noticed a $5 entertainment charge! Is this a norm in Colorado? I would think we would be informed upon entering if there's a cover fee or an additional charge. I would have been happy to pay it, but we should have been informed.

I heard this place was amazing and that it's a must try in Estes Park but please if you have high taste and are expecting big city level quality, do not get your hopes up! It's not good!! Maybe I'm being snotty for coming from a big city (DC and NYC) so I need to lower my expectations, but I've had great food in Colorado so I don't think that's it. But this was upsetting. And I do appreciate the manager for being so kind because it was really a miserable evening. Starting off we had a reservation at 6:30. So I expect to be sat at least by 6:35/6:40. We made this reservation three weeks in advance. But they clearly oversat people without reservations because we didn't get sat until 7:00. That was frustrating. We waited for drinks for about 20 minutes. They were delicious don't get me wrong. These were the highlight of the evening. The pear spritz and grapefruit margarita were fantastic. Loved. We ordered apps next. I don't know why they think goat cheese is a good addition to potato leek soup. I figured I'd try it because why not. Not good. And the focaccia? Two small slices for $4? I would hope that the waiter would've told us what we were getting because yikes. Why is there more butter than bread? We would've paid extra for two more slices but the transparency made us feel jipped. Now let's talk food. Took about 45 minutes. It's busy, I understand. But honestly I thought it might've been out earlier because our food came out lukewarm. Borderline cold. And talk about salt!!! It was like eating the sea. My mom and I both ordered the filet and were horrified to see it was cut. A filet. It dries it out! But yeah, there was no balance. It was salt on salt on salt. Gross. The waiter was very nice and so was the manager. They asked to take it back. But honestly it was just bad so we were ready to leave. They brought out two free glasses of wine which again was nice. But we again, just wanted to be done and go home. We didn't get dessert even though it was offered. Everything fell so short that honestly I didn't even want to try dessert. Again-- the food is bad. All extremely salty. If you like that, there you go. But the fact that it was basically cold? Yeah that's unacceptable. And as I said, grateful to the staff. But starting off not having been sat for 30 minutes after making a reservation weeks in advance? This was pitiful to say the least. Don't go here unless you want drinks and a beautiful view.

We were greeted almost immediately and presented with drink menus. Our server answered questions about what the drinks tasted like to help us decide as well. The inside is a little bit divey in feel but more upscale than your typical dive bar. They had tons of seating, and I saw next to a fireplace because it looked cozy (it was). The server was quick to take my order even though it was pretty busy in there (was rush weekend I think for the university?). I had the tin man HH cocktail because my server said it would be the most floral (has elderflower in it) and I quite liked it! Was very refreshing, not too strong. Aside notes: the bathrooms were quite clean. Parking was a little chaotic, some is paid parking and some is free 2 hour. There are only a couple spots right in front, I had to park a few blocks down but it was in 2hr free park by another small business that was closed for the day. I didn't have any issues there. Overall thought this was a fun little bar in Boulder with good happy hour drinks, I would def come back :)

Collision's offerings looked promising. Dining near the bar was full, so we got a whole room with windows aplenty to ourselves. Our waiter modeled good service. He greeted us quickly, brought waters before I could pick a beer, and quickly returned with my suds and took our order. We strolled down a hallway to the restrooms, passing games in the cool blue light. The bathroom was clean. Urinals are half kegs. I cracked up, then explained them to him. The expansive menu looks surprisingly diverse. I could have had pierogies, birria tacos, chicken fettuccine, PB & J, or one of the selections of burgers and sandwiches. I chose the French Dip on Asiago bread with a cup of green Chile. I could only eat half a sandwich, but knew leftovers would be gone by morning. This was one of the better French Dips I have had in a while. Green Chile? I came here from New Mexico and am not often impressed. This stuff was truly hot and had great flavor. Win win. The kids' steak plate has to be one of the best values I have seen eating out in Colorado. $10.95 w side. It stood out and did not disappoint. One of them was more well-done than medium rare, but stayed tender. Great seasoning. Beer: I l checked ratings, finding their highest-rated brew, GTA, a barrel-aged rye stout that definitely exceeded expectations. I agree with the high ratings. Shout out to our server for letting an adult who wasn't very hungry grab a kids' steak. Shout out to the prices, which would provide value even with lesser food. My sandwich came at a 2019-20 Denver price, at least $5 less than equally good comps in 2025. 4.5 stars round up to five. Recommended.
