Fantastic experience! Kayla was amazing and so helpful and cheerful. She stayed open a little later for us and cheered on our state basketball all team. Great environment to sit it and the cherry blossom is my favorite. Highly recommend! read more

An amazingly upbeat and friendly staff greets you and is able to share their favorites along with details about any of the styles the are serving. I highly recommend a flight, and definitely taste their Pilsner. A brewery that can't make a good Pilsner that stands on its own is not working very hard. The Old Bear sour is very special! read more

This is All around an awesome place. The beer is good and the atmosphere is wonderful. They have a zen garden, pet chickens and a rooster, fire pit, and excellent games to play. The staff are also very welcoming! What more could you ask for?! read more

The place is pretty big. I enjoyed my Oatmeal Stout. I also tried the Ginger Bee, but wasn't a fan. The customer service was great. I also enjoyed seeing two pups in there. Always nice to get some dog lovin'. Took a glass home as a souvenir. A good brewery to visit if you're in the area. read more

Stopped here to get away from family (24 people for 4 days), so I was in demand of great beer. Well....I got it. They have some really solid beers. I tried ALL OF THEM on a two flight tray. I was impressed and happy that I went. You can see all my ratings on Untappd under Toryvalben. Over come in and enjoy good service with good beers! read more

Over the last few years I've been super lucky to travel for work. So when I had the opportunity to attend a library meeting in Greeley, I immediately searched to find how close Crabtree was from the meeting location. One block. Well, don't twist my arm, universe! I poked my head in early during the afternoon, but there were already a few people holding down some tables. The space at Crabtree is beautiful! The bar is in the middle of a large room surrounded by low and high top tables. I spotted a gorgeous little patio as well! Many signs adorn the walls as well as bright banners hanging from the ceiling. I shimmied up to the bar and ordered a pint of their Berliner Weisse to start. Holy crap, this is a damn fine beer! Not too sour, but just enough to make you pucker! I couldn't head back to Denver without trying a few more brews, so I sampled three tasters: the ESB (which they had literally just tapped), the Dearfield Ale, and the Serenity Amber Ale. I was expecting to be madly in love with the ESB out of the three, but the Dearfield Ale stole my heart! This blonde ale has a hint of strawberry that is so super refreshing, I could drink it all day. (And I really want to!) The ESB was very delicious, as was the Serenity. Now that I've finally made it to Crabtree and sampled a few brews, I can easily say they are one of my new favorite breweries from "up north." Awesome space coupled with great service and friendly locals, I will definitely be stopping back at Crabtree soon! read more

Of the three breweries we visited on our trip to Greeley, this was my favorite. It was located a bit off of the beaten path (from my perspective), but sometimes that just means easier parking. It is a nice, big, open space, and the both the people working here, and the regular customers were good folks. They brew a lot of different beers here, and I tasted most of what they had on tap this day. Almost everything was rather good. However, the one that blew my socks off, and made me order another pint, was the Dearfield Ale. I am a sucker for good fruity beers, and this is by far one of the best I have had in recent history. A blonde ale brewed with strawberries (4.8% ABV and just over 11 IBU's) may sound simple and even a bit boring, but this beer is outstanding in the flavor department. Greeley should be proud to have such a fine brewery. read more

Really a great little brewery located in Greeley. It is located in an industrial area on the east side of town so it may be a bit of a challenge to find if you don't have your trusty GPS in hand. That kind of how it is with breweries isn't it? The really good ones are tucked in all kinds of interesting places! I had the sampler set and while I loved all of the beer(I haven't met very many beers I haven't liked) the raspberry ale stood out in my mind. It actually did taste like raspberries! Crabtree also puts out a really good ginger beer( five stars in this regard) which you can purchase the six pack there at the brewery or go to a liquor store that you know has lots of micro brews for sale in the Front Range area and there is a good chance it will be there. Crabtree's ginger beer is arguably my favorite ginger beer at this point and time. read more

Crabtree Brewing is one of the best reasons to visit Greely, CO. For a flight of their beers you can check off five from their list. Every one of my choices were outstanding! In fact, the beer I actually left with (via a growler) wasn't even in my first five choices. Crabtree's Berliner Weisse Ale is amazing. Only after tasting it did I focus in on the fact that it is an award winning beer. Other beers that have won awards are their Oatmeal Stout and Black IPA. But it's the lighter side I enjoy most and abosultely loved the Head Turner Blonde Ale, the Serenity Amber (6.1% ABV) and the Golden 8 (9% ABV). You can't say this place doesn't have a sense of humour when they dub their ESB variety as being "Extra Sexy Bartender," lol. Finally, the people here couldn't be more courteous, friendly and helpful and the building is amazing. Check the bar top made of inlayed grains...all hand done by the owner(s). Oh, and there's an outside bier garden in the back and a master brewer's tasting room inside. They have it all here! read more

the beer and staff are outstanding! you won't be disappointed. great atmosphere and in a great location.

This is our go-to place to get beer! I've personally know the Crabtrees for almost 20 years, even before they started brewing beer. Once Jeff started brewing, however, I instantly saw the passion he had for his craft! Now that passion shines right through in the beer he produces! I've always been treated absolutely wonderful at the brewery, and so has everyone else I have seen! Whenever we have out of town visitors, we are sure to make at least one stop at the brewery; but many times we end up making several stops because our guests love it so much! This family-owned brewery is the best around, and I'm so proud of my good friends, the Crabtrees! I convince a lot of people to go to the brewery, and every one of them ends up being glad I did! The new line of seltzers is awesome, and out does everything on the commercial market! If you're looking for great adult beverages, a fun and cozy atmosphere, and great people, I highly recommend Crabtree Brewing Company! read more

This brewery never disappoints! I love the entire place. Fun outside patio. ZEN Gardens, and a battleship game. I have also played a few games of chess here as well. The owner is very kind and always welcoming. The Serenity is my favorite but they have an oatmeal stout the is very tasty. The bar is the center of the place and it provides a perfect place to mingle.Plenty of parking. They will give you a tour of the brewery as well. They are one of my favorite places. On Wednesday they have $10.00 growler refills. Every time I come up to Greeley I pop in and have a drink. They are dog friendly as well. If you are in Greeley it is a must to visit. read more

Love Crabtrees. Kudos to Jeff for Always fun friendly service ! Great beer selection and the Summer Lager is one of the best.

I often hear people say they will travel for good beer. If you're one of these people, it's time to gas up the car and head to Greeley for some good beer at Crabtree. Make sure you bring a growler cause you'll probably want to take some home too. Their Rebel Rye IPA is among one of the better Rye IPAs I've had. It's unfiltered, dry and a little nasty ... but in the good IPA way. It's an IPA for an IPA drinker. Don't be scared to try it though the flavors are sharp, bold and hoppy. I also really enjoyed the ESB and Oatmeal Stout. Both have rich flavors and you know you're drinking good quality beer. The Oatmeal Stout is one of their seasonals but it seems to be around year around. I guess when it's that good, it will get drank year around. They also have $6 growler fills on Wednesdays and Sundays ... That's a lot of good beer for $6. This place is worth checking out, they have solid beer and the new tap room is warm and wide open! read more

This place is wonderful. They have a great variety of beers, including an excellent brown-- Boxcar-- which is actually one of the best browns I've ever had. Both times we've been there, the staff has been extremely personable, asking about our taste in music for ambience, if we wanted to play one of the available board games, providing us with plenty of information regarding the brews/brew history. It is a little hidden, but signs are popping up, and it's well worth the hunt. They do not have food, but encourage to bring your own if you would like to eat while imbibing in one of their brews, though they do have free popcorn on premise. Don't know what you would like? No problem. They'll give free tastings and help you decide. They also sell bombers, sixers, and growlers for your at home crabtree needs. Occasionally, they also have live music! I highly encourage you to support local business and checkout this awesome microbrewery, or volunteer there helping with bottling-- they reward in beer. What's better than that? read more

The Crabtree Brewing Company has definitely come a long way since my college days. They used to be situated on the east (not so nice) side of town, and have moved their way up to a fairly large tasting room just blocks from the local Old-C's. Their beer has also improved quite a bit from what I remember. A couple of us in my family ordered samplers to try and get a feel of their different drinks. I ordered a blonde, some new 8 beer that was actually quite tasty (but packed a 9% ABV!), their boxcar brown, a stout, and the frambo (their version of a raspberry frambozen). I tried to purchase a growler of their '8' beer, but the lady behind the bar told me that it had just come out and they weren't selling growlers of it. I ended up getting a growler of their brown, which I took to a BBQ over the weekend and surprised some friends that the beer they were drinking and liking had come out of Greeley! All-in-all, I think if you are in the area, Crabtree is definitely worth a stop. They have some interesting beers and a great space to sprawl out and have a good time with your friends or family (as in my case). read more

I looked up this place as soon as I arrived in Greeley last week. It has a big open space, very welcoming, with a large bar in the middle of the floor. The bartender, Kathy, was very nice and chatty. I sampled 5 of their beers: - Dearfield - very good, in fact my favorite. I was surprised as this is a lighter ale and not usually my taste. - ESB - this was fairly flat with a bad aftertaste. - Raz-a - The obligatory fruit beer, but it's an amber not the usual wheat. It was a little strong on fruit but it tasted good. - Stampede pale - not bad, subtle and smooth. Boxcar brown - a little bitter on the end, but not overly sweet like some browns tend to be. It's also attached to a brew supply store. They sell growlers and bottles, if you're up in the area I'd highly recommend checking them out, especially the Dearfield. Cheers! read more

Great place with great brews. Though it's pretty far out of the way, Crabtree is worth the journey. The inside itself features a very long bar with plenty of seats. A major piece of the aesthetic is the fact that you're drinking beer where you can literally touch many of the components that make the beer you're consuming. Thus, there are large drums, barrels for storage, and palettes full of beer all around you. As for the beer, it's actually pretty good. I'm a huge fan of the Twisted Creek Wheat and Ginger Beer. I'm not much for stouts or porters so the Oatmeal Stout is a bit much for me. I also dig Jeff's Pale Ale and I haven't tried the Boxcar Brown. A fresh growler (half gallon) is only $11 and a refill is only $8. On Wednesdays you can score a refill for $6. That's $1.50 pints when you do the math. Great deal for local craft beer! read more

This is one of the few breweries active in Greeley. They have a nice private space with a looong bar and some seating in the back. One comment on the bar: I like it a lot! It was glass and filled with hops. They provide free popcorn to people getting tasters. Freebies are always approved! The place was near empty when we arrived and the dead atmosphere didn't do anything to improve the average-ness (is that a word?) of their beer. We had a flight of 5 beers and I only enjoyed two of the 5: The Ginger Bee Ale (which was a spiced ale with ginger and cloves) and Twisted Creek Wheat (a nice, refreshing crisp wheat ale). The others were subpar (Jeff's Pale Ale, Boxcar Brown, and Oatmeal Stout). One cool thing that I love at bars and tap rooms - they have a game section. My girlfriend and I got to sip our beers and try to gross each other out playing "Would you rather..." This would be a cool place to hang out with a group but, until the beer improves, I don't know if Id come back. read more

Took some family from wine country to Crabtree to show them how we roll here in Colorado. I loved the flight, it offered a great way to try these beers. We all had different opinions on which was our favorite, which made the flight great to to sample different types, and talk about them. I do have to say for any micro brewery owner go check out Temecula wine country. The tasting business has EXPLODED over the last 10 years. There are a few things that could be picked up by going to these wineries. Now granted I did go during the day, but the tasting experience could be improved. Beer can be analysed just like wine. Yeah some might want to just drink beer, but the sophisticated pallet might want to have someone talk to them about the flavors. Anyways go check it out, I would love to have "Greeley Beer Country" or something of the sort here. read more

This place is awesome! HUGE space, great beer! We did the flight and it included about 6 sample size beers which was plenty for my fiance and I to share. The other reason I loved this place is that it had a huge selection of games.....nothing better than playing board games while drinking some Crabtree! read more

I lived in Greeley for 10 years and never knew this place existed. They have been brewing beer for 10 years and the beers that I tried were all excellent in quality and taste. My favorite had to be the Peach Habanero Red, which only left a sweet heat on the back of my throat but the peach sweetness warmed the rest of my day here. Staff was friendly and inviting, all the while, explaining the beer and process. She was an active part of the success of the brewery, and when asked of the brews had a full understanding of what it took and the struggles the brewer had to get to a finished product. This is an excellent place to try while in Greeley, had I known it was here, I would have treated myself years ago. read more

So, I had to walk to get here during the first snowstorm of the year. Showed up 20 mins before closing. Walked in and was told that they had been closed for a half hour already. First, what a great open space. I hate feeling cramped in some micro-brews but Crabtree takes the cake. I love the bar in the center of the room glass and underneath hops! Great, place with a large group, small group, or even by yourself for a quick stop. The owners are incredibly friendly and even more friendly and available when explaining their brews. I would have to say my fav brew would be their sour. Learning that it takes about 9 months to make it, I appreciate the time and effort they take into making their beer. Well done Crabtree! read more

Stopped in the other week during the afternoon for a beer on my way through Greeley. What a great find this was. The beers were on the lighter side and a few had a slight hint of fruit but not over powering. The ABV was around 5.5-6.2 for most of the beers. There was a honey and ginger ale beer that was outstanding. Also had a chance to meet the owner who was very knowledgeable and friendly with a strong passion for his beer. Highly recommend Crabtree. read more

Its hidden away in the heart of Greeley's History District. Worth the search and find. the beer is Great! There is a flavor for anyone's taste and the people are all very sweet and attentive. i have not been to the brewery, so this review is just for the beer. it's pretty bad. i feel kind of bad being so harsh, but facts are facts. overall, the taste and texture are like unpracticed home brew. after the first sample, i thought that perhaps there was something wrong with the batch, but i sampled four different ones and all four were clinkers. sampled: amber, stout, wheat, pale read more

This is a great brewery, with a nice tap room, friendly service, and great beer. I particularly enjoyed their Deerfield Ale and Serenity Amber, but they had other good ones as well. One of the Crabtree's best qualities is that it offers a nice variety of beers, ranging from a light and subtly fruity wheat beer to a dark and heavy stout. As a result, they have something for everyone, regardless of your tastes. Best of all, I was thrilled to find that they don't over-hop their beers. They do offer hoppy selections for those who prefer that style, but there are plenty of other options for those who don't. Overall, a terrific place. I'll definitely stop there anytime I'm in Greeley. read more
