Had great reviews so we decided to try this place. Bar looked fun, found some seats and ordered drinks. The moscow mule was NOT good and disgusting. Didn't come in the regular mules and I bet the ginger beer wasn't the usual ones. Tastes not good and did not finish. Ended up getting whiskey green tea shot to chase... decent. Anyways, couldn't stay any longer with crappy drinks. Go for a quick drink and vibe. read more

We stopped by for a drink. I had a margarita (strong and awesome!) and my husband had a beer My review today is not about the food or drinks but purely the company. One of the bar tender was Jenn and she was just amazing and super nice. Around us we had some locals of which one man was Dale (awesome fact he used to deliver newspaper by horse), so awesome! Anyway overall it was the ambiance and vibe where everyone was so welcome it was amazing! Will be back :) read more

We rented the lower level of the wheel bar for a rehearsal dinner and an wedding after party. Very reasonable rental charge and great drink prices. Food is not available so we brought in Italian food without any problems. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. COME HERE! Interested in relaxing in a historic building featuring local artifacts and photos, dim lighting, and a variety of seating that creates the most laid back and totally chill environment? Not often do I give 5 stars but this place never ceases to impress me every time I visit. They have some awesome games and a full size shuffleboard table. They have ample room for large groups and Caleb behind the bar was a legit bartender. If you are in town and want a late night drink then you must check this place out! read more

The diviest of dives in a great little mountain town outside of Denver. There's a pretty rad outdoor area in the back away from the street if you need some air and a bit of privacy. Word to the wise, you may be tempted to sing "Wagon Wheel" at the top of your lungs. Do it! read more

This place is a nice environment but when we arrived, the bartender was being upwarming with some older gentlemen, my spouse and I thought she was a cool bartender but as soon as we asked about certain drinks she didn't make us feel welcomed and made short answers, we felt like she was being smartly rude when I asked questions regarding the drinks. Although it looks small on the outside, on the inside there's plenty of space. This dive was a perfect night cap complete with pool, a dart board (not electronic), and a variety of arcade games. It's one of the only spots in town open past midnight, so it got a bit crowded but was still very enjoyable. Drinks were cheap but well poured. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but were what you'd expect from a small town dive. read more

The brown haired female bartender here was super rude. I asked her if they had pints of beer since not all bars carry them. She answered my question in a very condascending way. I was seated by the bar and also overheard the way she talked to other customers in a very rude way as well. Needless to say, she is the reason for this 1-star review. Note: If your skin color is a darker shade, stay away from this establishment if this lady is manning the bar or else you will feel like being transported back to the segregation era. read more

Both the bartenders. I waved and she came right over then the first bartender was at the door and greeted my party inside and let us know it was sit anywhere. Absolutely classic place. First time ever in CO and Estes Park, so glad I made it here. Such a homey feel to it with vintage decor. Along with funny and friendly staff and great prices on the drinks. Didn't have any food but hope to next time I'm there. Be sure to hit the Wheel Bar. read more

We stumbled upon this bar during our recent trip to Estes Park and really enjoyed it! It definitely is a dive bar and the staff was a little rough around the edges but friendly enough. The Bloody Mary was out of this world! We liked the general atmosphere, thinking that of course it would be a lot more fun during non-COVID times. We will definitely be back! read more

We rented the lower space to host a breakfast brunch the morning following our daughter's wedding. Ty Nagl was very gracious and welcoming to our family and friends for this event. The space was great with the outdoor patio available for our guests to use. We were able to watch our hometown football team play while everyone continued to enjoy the wedding festivities. The bar service was excellent, everyone was friendly, and a fun time was had by all. I would highly recommend the Wheel Bar for any event you want to host in Estes Park. Ty is the best. read more

My family went to The Wheel to have a pre wedding drink. We walked in with ten adults and a 3 mo infant. The staff at The Wheel allowed us to order $100 worth of drinks and only after we had paid and sat down with our drinks did they tell us that an infant could not be in the establishment. The waitress came to tell us that it was strictly over 21 (pro tip: Lonigans, around the corner is more reasonable), , we were very gracious and said oh, ok and immediately began finishing our drinks. The waitress returned 60 seconds later and RUDELY said, I was serious, you need to leave. The Wheel needs to hire a bouncer and NOT allow families to drop $100 before getting kicked out 60 seconds later. Very rude, very unprofessional, TOTALLY preventable. Go elsewhere. read more

We came to visit this little town while we're in Denver. We weren't welcomes in at all and sat at the table. The brunette bartender seemed so annoyed with us just off the back. She walked over and scoffed when we ordered a soda at first. We decided to not spend any money here because the bartender was incredibly rude as she yelled across the bar "are you going to order something" in a condescending way. Don't recommend going here if you want great service. read more
