This was a fun bar to stop in, big space to explore and different seating areas. The bartender had a spunk and snark that was kinda friendly still that fit the whole vibe. I didn't get to spend to much time here because my friends husband can't handle his liquor, LOL. But, definitely an interesting space with lots to look at. Came in here tonight (1/1/26 around 5/5:15 pm) with my girlfriend hoping for a drink and a good time. What we got instead was a front-row seat to the most impressive display of selective blindness I've ever seen from a bartender. We SAT at the bar for 15 minutes without so much as a glance. No "I'll be right with you," no acknowledgment, nothing. Meanwhile, a guy and his girlfriend walked in well after us and were promptly helped like VIPs. So clearly the bartender can see--she just chose not to. At that point, we did the only reasonable thing and left. On the way out, I told her, "By the way, you're a terrible bartender." That's when she suddenly found her voice and started going off on me as we walked out. Funny how she couldn't acknowledge us when we wanted to spend money, but had plenty to say once she was called out. If you enjoy being ignored, watching others get served ahead of you, and then being yelled at for pointing it out--this is the place for you. Otherwise, save your time and money and go literally anywhere else in Estes Park. read more

Didn't come in the regular mules and I bet the ginger beer wasn't the usual ones. Tastes not good and did not finish. Ended up getting whiskey green tea shot to chase... decent. We rented the lower level of the wheel bar for a rehearsal dinner and an wedding after party. Very reasonable rental charge and great drink prices. The diviest of dives in a great little mountain town outside of Denver. There's a pretty rad outdoor area in the back away from the street if you need some air and a bit of privacy. Word to the wise, you may be tempted to sing "Wagon Wheel" at the top of your lungs. Do it! read more

Not often do I give 5 stars but this place never ceases to impress me every time I visit. They have some awesome games and a full size shuffleboard table. Although it looks small on the outside, on the inside there's plenty of space. This dive was a perfect night cap complete with pool, a dart board (not electronic), and a variety of arcade games. It's one of the only spots in town open past midnight, so it got a bit crowded but was still very enjoyable. Drinks were cheap but well poured. The brown haired female bartender here was super rude. I asked her if they had pints of beer since not all bars carry them. She answered my question in a very condascending way. I was seated by the bar and also overheard the way she talked to other customers in a very rude way as well. Needless to say, she is the reason for this 1-star review. We rented the lower space to host a breakfast brunch the morning following our daughter's wedding. Ty Nagl was very gracious and welcoming to our family and friends for this event. The space was great with the outdoor patio available for our guests to use. We were able to watch our hometown football team play while everyone continued to enjoy the wedding festivities. We had our wedding after party at Wheel Bar. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with and everyone had a great time!

My family went to The Wheel to have a pre wedding drink. We walked in with ten adults and a 3 mo infant. The staff at The Wheel allowed us to order $100 worth of drinks and only after we had paid and sat down with our drinks did they tell us that an infant could not be in the establishment. The waitress came to tell us that it was strictly over 21 (pro tip: Lonigans, around the corner is more reasonable), , we were very gracious and said oh, ok and immediately began finishing our drinks. The waitress returned 60 seconds later and RUDELY said, I was serious, you need to leave. The Wheel needs to hire a bouncer and NOT allow families to drop $100 before getting kicked out 60 seconds later. Very rude, very unprofessional, TOTALLY preventable. Go elsewhere. read more
