First time coming here, wasn't bad at all, truly enjoyed the experience, more so I enjoyed the fact that's you have to kinda wait on your food so rather than be on your phones scrolling you get a conversation from people, the food was pretty good, I mixed a few of the sauces to crest a concoction that was actually pretty good!! I'd defiantly come back, this would be an ideal 1st date spot in my opinion, very easy to talk while you wait for your food staff was very friendly and helpful. Second time here, buddy wanted to have Korean BBQ, and we were in the area so we gave it a try. Once again love this place especially how you get social, we were siting next to an older group, and even got to chat with them and get to learn where they were from etc.. A very affordable place to eat with a variety of different meats, vegetables, and condiments. As a frequent kbbq customer, it came to a surprise that you actually hand select your plate instead of ordering from a waiter. This was a very nice touch because I could control my own portions and eat right away instead of waiting for food to be delivered to the table. The artwork on the walls are a nice touch and there is even a mini game that lets you eat for free if you win! Came here because Gaja & Sonu were full. The establishment looks and feels cheap, the food being in a "buffet style" felt gross as it's right next to the restroom. Lots of flies. $30 per person is a genuine robbery considering the food was a 1/5 stars. Not many options at all and gross that it's sitting out in the open right next to the restroom. The workers did a good job of making sure we had everything, but that doesn't surprise me since there were barely any customers when we were there. $130 of disappointment. Never coming back. Plus the stove was barely even hot and took so long for the food to cook. We ended up staying longer than we wanted to because since we were already locked in spending $90 for crappy food we wanted to at least leave full. read more

I had made a reservation on Thanksgiving day for lunchtime, and despite it being a holiday and expecting a long wait time, it was quite the opposite. We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated quickly. There were so many options to choose from! I especially loved the beef bulgogi! You would walk up and serve yourself the meats you wanted and the sides as well. The milk tea boba was the best! And not to mention the complimentary ice cream you get at the end is delicious! Not sure why all the 5 stars review have this is the "best Korean BBQ that you will ever have." ... if best is chewy and low quality meats...? Food is a 2. Extra star for being clean and attentive staff. The meats were all super tough and chewy. They cut it too thick. The "prime" meat was not prime, no fat marbling. Don't even go for the beef tongue, you spend hours chewing it. It was disgusting. I had to spit out every other meat I ate in a napkin. Could not chew it. Only the marinated meats were decent...but sure, slather a bunch of marinate to mask how bad the meat was. It was pretty bad. The only cool thing about this place is it's new, the grill, hood and the buffet style. You don't have to wait for service- all self serving. Even got some Korean sides. Also the staff were pretty attentive, the owner was there and making sure things go smoothly. For $27 and low quality meats...probably won't be returning unless they read feedback and use better meats/cuts. The place is actually cool, just need to improve on quality then I believe they'll get a bunch of regulars. read more

Worst K BBQ I've been to! Just on taste alone, 100% not owned by a Korean. The banchans were not good and It had a different flavor profile than Korean food. "Water" down sesame oil had no sesame taste to it. They cut a lot of corners, so the flavors don't come out like Korean food. Service was OK and it was clean. Will not return. read more

This was a random treasure find! The food is super good and super fresh! They are constantly changing out the meats and veggies. They keep each table super clean and will change out the burners immediately, if they notice they are getting too done. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. The sugar donuts are a personal favorite as well as the bulgogi beef. This is a regular spot for my family. read more

This is my go to spot when other K-BBQ places are packed and booked, This is definitely my favorite K-BBQ I don't need to wait for my food I just serve myself, I love that this is self serve, I love the employees they are so helpful, you never have an empty cup the food is always being re stocked, by absolute favorite is the spicy pork belly, it is sweet with a hint of spice. You also need to try the donuts, those are heaven, definitely not healthy but if you just want a little sweet desert after all that delicious food, try that donut. read more

Honestly, this spot is the cleanest of the three KBBQ spots in Oceanside. They have a great selection of meats and sides. Though it is a self-serve location, that aspect makes this place more convenient. You don't have to constantly wait on waiters to bring you additional sides or take additional orders. Been wanting to try this place for some time because there is never a wait time as advertised. I don't normally like waiting to eat but I may have to change that. The food selection here is ok. There are roughly a dozen or so type of meats and seafood. The banchan is limited, however. The meats here are of the frozen variety, you know the frozen rolled beef you see in Mongolian grill type places. That's not the problem though. The problem is that it's not marinated and texture wise.....it's off. The beef isn't tender and it's sliced so thin that you don't get great bites. Instead, I opted for the galbi since those weren't sliced and rolled and looked alright. Boy was I wrong. The galbi basically had no marinade I could distinguish from and tasted like black pepper. After taking a few more bites, I realized this place isn't ran by Koreans but rather Chinese or Vietnamese. Koreans would never season galbi with just black pepper. Moreover, the galbi was really chewy and tough. The straw that broke the camel's back was the banchan. The potato salad tasted like something you get from your local supermarket deli. It definitely had vinegar in it which is never in a Korean potato salad. The seaweed had tons of garlic and was prepared the same way you get from a Chinese food deli. The kimchi looked off, plus the spoon handle was laying on top of the kimchi which I found really unsanitary, so I opted to pass this one up. The service was just ok. Now I know why people wait over an hour to get into the AYCE Korean establishment down the street and not here. While I'm usually not the one to wait, after eating here, I'm going to rethink this the next time I go to a "no wait" AYCE spot. Never again. read more

So there are at least 3 Korean bbq near my area that I know of and tried and this one is so so. It's different in a sense that you get to pick your own meat in a buffet setting. I've never been to one before until we tried this place out. There are pros and cons to this particular restaurant and this is why I'm not giving it a 5 star. The idea is good and would have probably enjoy it more if the selection were not as limited. Another downside is that, I've noticed that they only have 1 premium meat (kalbi) and the rest were your usual (pork, chicken, and couple kinds of seafood). Top line for me is the staff we dealt with was rude. We got there and the waitress sat us down, didn't say a word, and walked away. I've never had to self serve KBBQ so I didn't realize we were waiting for nothing. We happened to see the only other person in the restaurant serve themselves, so that's how we figured it out. The meat itself was mediocre at best. I didn't enjoy being here and regretted my choice, especially when there's a much better KBBQ across the street. read more

Not my favorite but still an ok bbq place for me . Servers are always nice and friendly. It's a self service buffet , but personally I'd rather order from a server , I don't like to always get up . Interior is always neat and clean , the tables are very beautiful, I love their tables . Meat wise , my favorite is the brisket , recommend the pork belly too , not a fan of the chicken , sadly they don't have my husbands favorite which is beef tongue , I never get to try their desserts hopefully I will sometime when I go back . This is legit the BEST Korean BBQ around. Tons of meat and veggies to choose from! They also do unlimited rice, dumplings, aaaaand miso soup!! The facilities are always very clean -the fridge where they keep meat and veggies SPOTLESS. My thing is broccoli with ponzu sauce! I love the "do it yourself" aspect of it all! I originally started off with one star. I cant believe it. I dont think ive ever reviewed a place and left anything less than two stars. But as i sit back and think anout all the aspects of my experience here, the sole fact that you are able to get up and serve yourself is something i quite enjoy. We've been to about 10 different restuarants. This unfortunately had to be about the worst. Hopefully its something that will be improved over time since they are a bit newer. I had just about every combination of meat they had, and anything that was sitting in marinade tasted the same. The quality of meat was poor. The rice was a bit.. i want to say larger grain? They have potstickers that were empty and not filled until we finished at our table. Our grill was burnt for the majority of our cooking which i found extremely frustrating since there was only one other party there eating. Several people on staff that proceeded to enjoy their own food, meanwhile the customers needed a grill change....a good 20 minutes ago. We originally wanted to go to Gaja for KBBQ but the wait was 2 hr so we decided to try this place. Worse decision ever. The meat was frozen, there was no rice paper, and the service was... awkward. 1. All the meat was chewy, especially the pork! It was dry and very hard to eat. The best thing there was the MUSHROOMS LOL 2. The place was self serve so we were able to get our own utensils and items. The owner was upset and took away the extra tongs we got to cook our meat. they would look at us whenever we got our food and only changed our grill once. They never serviced us other than wanting to take away our plates. 3. Worse thing was, they automatically wrote their own 18% tip (after tax) without notifying us that gratuity was included. We always tip but this was the first time they wanted us to do it without even servicing us. 4. The servers kept staring at us while we were trying to enjoy our dinner as if we did something wrong. read more
