We decided to try this place based on the Yelp reviews, and I'm so glad we did--the food is truly delicious. Everything is cooked to order and tastes incredibly fresh, which does mean there's a bit of a wait. We waited about 30-45 minutes after ordering, but it was clear the food was made with care. There's plenty of seating if you want to dine in, though we ordered to go. One thing I really liked is that you can watch your food being prepared since the kitchen is open. While we were there, the staff was doing a very thorough job cleaning the floors, which gave me a great impression of how much they care about cleanliness. Portions are moderate for the price--I wouldn't have minded a little more food--but the flavor more than makes up for it. Overall, the food quality and freshness really stand out. Another great visit to China Fusion Restaurant at Oceanside. The customer service continues to stand out. From the moment you walk in and are seated for dine-in, you're greeted with a cup of water and a warm cup of soup this time, egg drop soup. I really appreciate that attention to detail. I personally couldn't eat due to recent oral surgery, but my two boys definitely enjoyed their meals. One ordered the teriyaki chicken lunch special, and the other had the orange chicken house special. My oldest is a picky eater and loved everything on his plate minus the veggies that came with the teriyaki chicken. My youngest, on the other hand, ate everything and loves vegetables and different textures. A big win for both kids was the house fried rice, fried chicken appetizer, and the noodles they couldn't get enough. For children with very different palates, both rated this place a solid five stars. Bathroom and dining are super clean and well Maintained! This was my third visit, and it won't be my last. Wanted to try some Chinese food other than Panda Express and Yelp led us here. The place was empty when we first arrived but started filling up by the time we left. The lighting is bright and the tables and seats were spotless. I saw a promo on Yelp that offered free Fried Chicken dumplings with a purchase of over $40 but when the waitress went to ask about it we ended up being told that it was an online special and/or if we had a coupon mailed out locally we could get those. Boo. The waitress took our drink order first, nothing exciting. Our table of 4 got waters, a Thai Tea with Boba and a Diet Coke. My daughter liked the Thai Tea but it was overly sweet for me. We ordered BBQ spare ribs with a side of white rice. These did not taste like bbq. They had an unexpected thick pink glaze and were sweeter than bbq sauce. The meat was tender and the ribs were big and meaty; however we only ate 2 of the 4 ribs. The flavor was a miss for us. We didn't take the leftover 2 home. We also ordered Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Szechwan, Beef and Broccoli and House fried rice. There was a bit of a language barrier because when I ordered the Beef Szechwan I wanted the $5 upgrade to chow mein instead of white rice but when we got the bill she had charged us for a full order of House Chow Mein. I guess my pointing at the menu indicating the option I chose did not translate. The portions are large and one entree can be shared between two people. My husband liked his Beef Broccoli and my daughter's boyfriend liked his Teriyaki Chicken. My Beef Szechwan was more sweet than spicy so I wouldn't order that again. I might come back to try something on the lunch menu, we'll see. read more

Pretty good, albeit a little bit bland. The 2 for 1 fried chicken dumplings were the best part of the meal. The orange chicken had a good mild sweet sauce and the portions are fairly large. The fried rice, although tasty, was lacking in flavor. For me, the rice could've used more soy sauce. I discovered this is a chain restaurant that has locations from San Diego up to Oceanside. I'm not sure if they go any farther North. If it's a franchise, this would explain reviews all over the board that tend to vary from location to location. At any rate, you get value for your dollar at China Fusion. Try it. I think you'll agree that it's a place where they've stabilized their brand. read more

Budget friendly Chinese food. Very clean inside. Staff very friendly and greeted us immediately. Was shown to our table and the waitress brought us a bowl of egg drop soup. Hot and delicious. My husband ordered the kung pao chicken lunch special and I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special. Both with fried rice and chow mein. The food came out so fresh and the presentation was beautiful. Just like advertised. For $10 and some change you get so much food. Highly recommend for good quality Chinese food on a budget. Why did I not know is this delicious restaurant? It's small and busy and wonderful! Greeted as soon as we went in. Seater w menus and drinks fast. Brought egg drop soup quickly and it was tasty. The munch special was only $10.25!!! You can even go to a drive through for 10! Anyways wow the food was delicious too! The fried rice took my sister and I back to a place we used to go to in childhood! Amazing, perfect! Not dry, no greasy, flavorful and good! The noodles were not oily, and delicious! Love a good Chinese place! Came in here for takeout with my giant double stroller and lively toddlers in tow. The staff there was so sweet. Brought my kids fortune cookies to eat while we waited. They were moving chairs out of the way so I could get through to the register with the stroller. The food was made hot and fresh and insanely fast. The gentleman there even walked me out to the sidewalk and made sure I could securely store the food in my stroller for me since we had a long walk ahead of us. Ordered the large family dinner deal. So much food! The leftovers lasted us like three days. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Especially loved the broccoli beef. Probably wouldn't get the mango "smoothie" again. I thought I reviewed China Fusion, but I guess I haven't! Very fast and cheap Chinese food. You get what you pay for. It scratches the itch and I find myself ordering China Fusion a lot whether it's the fried rice or the chow mein. Tried the chow fun which they did a great job of packing the meat in. The noodles are not as flavorful as the chow mein, but happy to have tried it. read more

Food was delicious. Ordering was a little confusing. We ordered over $40 from the app and were supposed to get fried dumpling but we couldn't make the app work. We gave up and just put our order in... and like magic the bonus appeared on our order. It was a struggle to drive home with the fantastic and delightful smells coming from the back seat. We wanted to stop and eat by the roadside. We persevered and unpacked our food once we got home. We ate the dumplings, lettuce wraps and fried chicken wings. Delightful! We then opened our mains. my wife and I have been going here for the last few years and have always loved the food, especially the lunch specials. Today not so. We were there at 11:10am and the front doors were still locked. Had to wave someone down in the back to open up. We should have walked away then. we sat down, and a new woman worker came up and got our drinks. Never seen her here before. My wife gave her order and asked for "extra garlic" which we always do. This new server person had no idea what we were asking for. She wanted to give my wife "extra sauce" on her order, because there is garlic in it. We asked her "you don't have any chopped garlic?". Once again, the blank stare. I just shook my head, and told her just make both dishes like you normally would. The workers who were in here before damn near knew us as the "extra garlic" couple. So the egg drop soup's come out and each bowl was barely half filled. They tasted like they usually do,which is pretty good, then the soup bowls never got taken off the table. Granted this place is not an upscale steakhouse, but the other super nice server lady would never let an empty dish sit on the table at all. Plus this new person was on her phone behind the counter the entire time. Another guy walked in after us, and he got served his meal. I looked at my wife and said. "we're outta here" and we walked out. I don't know what management is doing here, but the people they have working in there now are not hospitable at all. Beware if you are ordering through door dash and want to add something extra, not on theIr door dash menu. They don't accept special requests so I phoned after placing my order, to request extra pancakes for mu shu, which I was willing to pay the extra for. Was told they couldn't and they could take away the hoisin sauce I paid extra for, because that's not included with mu shu and substitute extra pancakes. I have never had mu shu that doesn't include hoisin sauce. All for the sake of possibly, at most $1, when I just ordered $60. They have lost a customer. Off night maybe? *Egg Foo Young: Only one of the four us likes egg foo young. Actually, she may be the only person left on the planet who likes egg foo young. She liked this one, so 'nuff said. *Mongolian Beef: Not good. First off, there was little to no beef in the dish. What beef that was there was incredibly tough and chewy. *Orange Chicken: This was very good as far as orange chicken goes. Is orange chicke really a thing in Chinese food or just an Amercanized thing? Either way, it was good. Better than Panda Ex. *House Fried Rice: Good flavors. Absolutely needed more shrimp. Pork and chicken were plentiful and tasty. The shrimp was very good too, just not enough. *Cream Cheese Wontons: Pretty good. Could have been crispier, but the travel time from O-Side to Carlsbad probably softened them up. The dipping sauce was excellent. *Plain Chow Mein: Good chow mein. Nothing too memorable, but it was a good base for the orange chicken. All told, three stars this time. We'll try again next time in Carlsbad. read more

I was running errands and have been wanting to try out this place. I placed my order at the location. I ordered a HK pan fried noodle. I was told it would be 15 mins so I ran down to pickup a few things at Trader Joe's nearby. When I came to pick up my food, I was told it would be a few more minutes. Not much longer, my food was ready. I took it home and it was still hot. The noodles were crispy (although a bit greasy). Came here on Independence Day, and am glad we did. The restaurant is small, but *very* clean. The waitress was accommodating of our group of nine, and always attentive. Definitely a plus. The food itself wasn't amazing, but it was much better than average. The honey walnut prawns had an appropriate amount of both batter and sauce, which we appreciated. Meanwhile, the Beijing beef was plentiful, and had a nice crunch to it. The prices were very good, especially for California. For all nine of us (six adults, three kids), we came out under $120, after tax and tip. Solid value. Overall, on food alone, I'd give China Fusion four stars. This business Is a hidden Diamond. Such a friendly and calm atmosphere. Very, very friendly. They pay attention to your needs and always ready to help. The food is delicious and I would rate it an A+. It is a favorite of ours now. We had a lunch serving of beef and broccoli, fried shrimp, wontons and orange chicken.
