Panda Wok is wonderful. Like Panda Express but with amazing customer service. In the same parking lot as Frazier Farms next to Subway. We only order food for one because they give you soooo much! Panda Wok is a relatively newer establishment (~ 2 yrs) and though we have already selected our favorite Chinese eateries, during the pandemic we're reaching out to try new restaurants a little farther away and glad we did! Armed with a couple of offers from Uber Eats, we opted to support the Gig Economy workers and local restaurants by ordering a ton of food: * Chow Mein * Fried Rice * Kung Pao Chicken * Black Pepper Beef * Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs * Wonton Soup (2 large bowls) * Broccoli Beef * Orange Chicken * BBQ Pork * Tempura Shrimp (2 orders = 16 pieces) Most of the food was quite good. The Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Broccoli Beef and Orange Chicken are comparable to Panda Express - good, not amazing, but good. The Kung Pao Chicken was a little disappointing. It didn't contain the same level of ingredients you'd find elsewhere and wasn't spicy at all. Though it's always my go-to entree at most places, I would skip it here. The Wonton Soup is some of the best around. We had ordered some from Kung Fu Noodle in Vista and it literally only had two baby bok choys, some wontons and the broth. Panda Wok's version is loaded with wontons, chicken, shrimp, water chestnuts, broccoli, zucchini, celery & carrots. The broth is okay but add a little soy sauce or salt and it's even better. The Tempura Shrimps are out-of-this-world: so light, fluffy and tasty with the included sweet & sour sauce. Packaging could have been a little better. There was some broth at the bottom of the wonton soup bag, but that might have been because of the Uber Eats driver - not sure. They do put pieces of cardboard in between stacked containers for added stability. Overall I'm stoked to find another excellent Chinese food place that's not 30 min away. Will definitely order again in the near future....thx for the (mostly) good food! read more
