A view of the "kitchen"--aka end of their food truck
    Carson R.

If you've never had a Klassic Doughnut, you are missing out! They have several food trucks around the Hampton Roads area, but you can usually follow their schedule to find one near you. Their doughnuts are no lie--almost as big as your face, and honestly, they are about the same price as the big donut chains. They always are made fresh and have never disappointed. Their staff is always friendly and polite. You will almost always find a line waiting to get them, but they churn these things out pretty quickly. Highly recommend you find a location near you soon and get some!

The lady who took my order was efficient and boxed up my doughnuts quickly. They do offer a small cash discount which was appreciated. The line was long so I waited about 45mins but it was worth the wait. Went to the farmers market location and the truck was easy to spot. The weekly flavor was strawberry glazed and it was to die for. Tasted super fresh and warm. The glazed was great too!

First things first, I'm not a big sweets person. BUT if you have a fresh glazed donut, I most likely won't turn it down. Klassic Doughnuts was parked at Farmhouse when I went to grab a morning coffee. The smell of the fresh donuts being made, and the flavors in the air ... I knew it had to grab one. The line wasn't long at all, but once I was taken care of, there was about 10 people behind me! They are a popular food truck for sure! When I got to the counter, I saw they had a lemon glazed, as well as an original glazed and cinnamon sugar. I went with the lemon to try something new! You can order the donuts by singles, a half dozen or a dozen. Good to know if I ever want to bring some to friends! The donut was perfectly glazed and full of lemon flavor. You could taste the zest in every bite. A little on the tart side, but if you like lemon, you'd love it. The donut itself was light and airy, not too sweet and incredibly tasty. I look forward to finding them at a farmers market and trying their other flavors!

I stopped by the East Beach Farmer's market a few weeks ago to pick up some items. I ended up stopping a the Klassic Donut food truck this time. The staff member that took my order quickly. My order was ready in less than a minute. I took the donuts home and every single one of them were absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back for a sweet treat soon!

Just amazing. These are some of the best donuts in the 757. They are made fresh. The line maybe long but it is worth the wait. The service is so friendly. It Is a food truck so you are sure to find it somewhere convenient.

If you've never seen a donut shop with an almost perfect 5.0 rating even after years on Yelp, you know this one must be special! Klassic donuts are the best donuts to be found in the area, and thats why they have an almost cult-like following on social media. They're made and sold from a food truck, not a storefront so you'll have to suss them out on instagram or facebook. We hunt them down and faithfully stand in line, and oh there WILL be a line. It's fine. It's worth it. Everyone in it will be in a pre-donut high mood and I promise, you'll barely even mind. Every week they offer a traditional glazed, a cinnamon and sugar, and a flavor of the week. You can find the flavor of the week on their socials. This week's was blueberry which was absolutely delicious.... although my favorite will forever be lemon!

    Cindi W.

They have the best doughnuts. Even with long lines, it moves at a good pace. The service is great and you receive your order quickly. I love the different weekly flavors they offer. I got the strawberry this week and it was great!! Definitely a local gem!!

I've been craving their donuts since it's been 3 years since I've been back. Arrived on a Friday morning roughly around 9am and not a long line at all. Got a 6 pack to share and still had well over two donuts left to spare. Donuts were delicious and best when fresh. Got the special pumpkin spice glazed and the cinnamon. Price went up to $13, but seems fitting given the donuts are fairly large. Perfect spot, but always miss the turn at the brewery. Gotta keep your eyes peeled for the boat so you don't miss your turn.

If you like doughnuts, you'll love Klassic Doughnuts. Be forewarned, there will be a line. I promise it's worth it. To find where this business will be located, I would recommend following them on social media. I went to them at the VB farmer's market off of Dam Neck road. I waited about 30 minutes in line, but I knew it would be worth it. They have three flavors: glazed, cinnamon sugar, and the flavor of the week (this week was lemon glazed). I ordered 8 (four glazed and four cinnamon sugar). They are sooo delicious and gigantic (for a doughnut). One tip, if you pay with cash, you don't pay the tax. Thankfully I had cash on me.

The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. I was really pleased with my recent visit and I'll be happy to come back soon!

Everything I've had here is delicious, but here are some of my favorites: UBE BLONDIES *** Probably one of their most signature items that stays on the menu season to season, this crumbly, satisfyingly dense, soft baked good with that nice punch of ube flavor will really have you coming back for more. The frosting glaze is just perfect, adding that sweetness that carries the ube flavor really nicely. The texture is just soooo satisfying, you can just tell when you cut your fork through it that it has this airy, yet dense and crumbly texture. TURON FRITTER Kind of like an apple fritter, but oh so crumbly, delicious, bright, and soft on the inside. Also had their brown sugar boba pudding cup when it came out, and it was really good; the tapioca actually blended quite nicely and was chewy and fresh, which means you're not stuck chewing it forever. Definitely on the sweeter side, but brown sugar items tend to be that way.

Needless to say the food was so good, pics proved to have zero chance. Sooo after a rough week, a Saturday late morning breakfast was calling for a much needed downtime to sit and enjoy... and well here we go: Some say happiness in a bottle, I say Happiness in a glass! Next time must try their lavender latte or pistachio... but gotta get it before 5/31 as it's available for a limited time! Definitely recommend the brekki bowl with cheese grits and fried chicken! You will not be disappointed. Cheese grits like "buhhhttah" without the oily and maybe the calories?! But honestly, so flavorful and creamy without the guilty feeling for having something that tastes so good. The veggies are fresh and perfectly cooked to give you great texture contrast. And let me tell you about their fried chicken!! Chefs kiss! Moist, flavorful lightly breaded chicken fried to perfection that had a slight kick for this girl. In full disclosure black pepper is spicy for me so take that with a grain of salt. And for those of you like me that believe there is never too much salt and add salt to your salt but need to cut that bad habit... this whole dish is the perfect amount of salt. I literally never had to add just a little more. Seriously though, if you are watching to slowly cut back on having to add salt to your food, this dish is for you! The service was great and everyone was friendly and hustling! This place is the best for a quick sit down or a group brunch. I saw a table of like 10 menly bros enjoying a huge selection of food, drinks, and catching up. They also sometimes give out free donuts to those in costume on Halloween and if you perform musical numbers during special promotions. My biggest complaint really isn't to do with the place itself, it's the spectacle of the opening day many moons ago. There is a direct indoor passage from La Taqueria Hacienda to MRTL, my youngest and I went to take a peek while we waited for our takeout order. It's a small store but lots of great stuff packed into it. At the front, there are some freezers and fridges with frozen treats (paletas, mangonadas etc) and other prepared goods from local businesses like flan and tres leches from Jessy's. The first front aisle is dedicated to a showcase of Mexican baked goods also brought in from local bakeries. The next few aisles are filled with grocery store items. I love seeing the products that familiar brands release in other markets. Will have to go back for the Palmolive fruity bar soap. It smelled so good ! All the way back, is the butcher with all sorts of meats, both plain and marinated. After we did a once over to see what the store offers, I couldn't help myself with the baked goods. I see/hear about baked goods and it's a trigger word (a good trigger). My eyes start to glaze over and I start making my way over LOL. I stopped a staff member and I asked her about all the goods. I wish she could truly understand the level of my enthusiasm and curiosity and I think she did the best she could to describe all the items, but I made do with what she shared and I just went with what looked good. She said that the case under the La Sabrosita had been delivered that day, so she didn't need to tell me twice. We got 4 things (these are not the proper names as I have no idea, just descriptions): - sugar donut with custard - classic sugar yeasty donut with custard, except, they don't poke a hole and fill it, they slice it in half and slather the custard. I loved this one. - puff pastry with cream inside and then a thin layer of icing type coating on top, and then rolled back in the puff pastry crumbs? These type of pastries tend to be on the dry side. It was pretty straight forward and it was pretty big. - cake/bread with sesame seeds - this reminds me of a homemade pound cake (not store bought) or madeleine type texture, not cake and not bread, in the middle. The size is pretty large (picture those jumbo muffins at Costco that you have to buy two packs) and it's topped with sesame seeds. Great morning item. I loved this one too. - Cinnamon cake - there was a thin layer of a cinnamon mixture at the bottom, majority of the cake/bread and then the top had a crack-ly crust, piped with what looked like a cinnamon stick, but it's actually another edible cake thing. On the drier side, but more meant to be another morning item with coffee or tea. My youngest loved this one with her milk. The items were not small either. The best part of all this, was when I went to pay, I was floored at the final total. I thought she had made a mistake. It was SOOOOO cheap! It was $8 and some change. The girl chuckled at my disbelief and she said the price had gone up. Well, don't mind if I do. I'll definitely be back and check out their meats back there too.
