Glazed, Cinnamon sugar, and blueberry (seasonal) were all fantastic; bb was a sticky glaze, a tad messy to eat, unless you're ghetto like me and don't mind licking your fingers. Their business card states "yeast donuts," but when eaten fresh, they have the sensation of eating a cake donut: slight crunch on the outside, warm/soft inside. Yummy goodness all the way down in my belly! I'm a ride or die Boston Cream donut fanatic yet Klassic D's varieties are definitely worth the try. Above avg price is offset by quality and size. I saw Klassic Doughnuts on Instagram and knew I had to find them! I found them at a farmers market. Klassic posts a lot on their Instagram page. They will post their schedule and their menu for the week. I went once to a location where they had lemon glaze and chocolate covered. Both were scrumptious! Got to the parking lot early enough that the line wasn't long...yet. We waited maybe 10minutes if that. We got half a dozen and ended up begging 3 of each flavor - glazed, cinnamon suga and coffee glaze. They were all so fresh and dove right in once we got them. I always see them at the East Beach and Talbots Farmers Market with a long line. I don't always grab doughnuts but this Saturday was a doughnut morning kind of day. The long lines usually move by pretty quick. I really appreciated that Klassic Doughnuts provided complimentary waters for customers that were waiting in the long line at the market. It was really hot and this was super nice to keep customers waiting. Went this morning at vb farmers market. Got there close to 7, and there was already a line. Line moved pretty quickly though in case you're wondering. We bought a dozen doughnuts because we couldn't decide what to get, and it smelled so good and looked good that we wanted to try be able to try everything and also share with the fam. Omg yum. I tried them for the first time today at the vb farmer's market on dam neck and princess anne. I was stuck at the Dr office so I sent my mom to wait in line. She said there were like 50 people in front of her and the line kept growing by the second. She enjoyed her line mates and said everyone was really nice around her. It tasted so fresh and was very blueberry. Just my style. I tried a few bites of the glazed, just for fun. I was full by this point, but I figured I had to at least try it. I don't normally care for glazed donuts but this one was different. The glaze was thick and crusty and oh so yummy. Glazed was my least fav. Klassic Doughnuts is a food truck traveling to different locations in Hampton Roads. They post their weekly schedule and locations on social media and are consistent about updating it in case of weather or other changes. They serve glazed and cinnamon sugar doughnuts daily, and always have a flavor of the week. There is almost always a long line but it moves quickly and you will not regret the wait. As you stand in line, you'll see hot, fresh donuts being rolled in cinnamon sugar, dipped in sweet, smooth glazes, hanging to dry and then carefully being placed in boxes for each customer's enjoyment. Cinnamon sugar is my absolute favorite. These are totally coated and the slight crunch of the outer coating is perfectly suited to the crisp fried exterior of the donut before you get to the pillow-y soft interior filled with perfect yeast air bubbles. This is a mobile business that is present at various locations throughout the spring/summer/fall seasons. I like to buy from them when they are outside of the Big Ugly Brewing Co. More recently during covid, there have been long line ups every time they've been there. They make all donuts fresh on site, and typically have glazed, and cinnamon sugar. I've also tried their chocolate dipped, and plain. All flavors are great, but my favorite is cinnamon sugar. The donuts are light and fluffy with a slightly crisp exterior. The best texture and are the size of my hand! I can't (and my waistline wouldn't want me to) eat an entire half dozen myself... But because these donuts aren't always accessible, I always buy half a dozen and freeze them. I freeze them when they're still fresh, but cooled so they won't taste stale later. I take it out the night before I want to eat it and they're perfect the next morning. I love a hot fresh doughnut, and when I heard about Klassic Doughnuts I was immediately reminded of the ones I get in Richmond from Mrs. Yoders at SOTJ farmers market, which I am obsessed with. We got there right as the farmers market in East Beach Ocean View started and there was already a long line. The gentleman came around and let everyone in line know what was going on, and that they'd be limiting orders to either a half dozen (paid) or one doughnut (free) because of the issue. We decided to get the half dozen. They had two flavors today - traditional glazed and cinnamon sugar. We did four glazed and two CS. The CS were very generous with the coating, nice and soft and fluffy interior with a golden exterior. They were fantastic with my coffee.
