Stopped by to checkout the fall menu and pickup my free birthday donut. The staff is sweet and friendly and was patient as I looked over the options. (Side note: I wasn't able to eat the donuts at the freshest and warmest point but I was able to re-heat them later on and they were much better.) - the granny's apple pie is rolled in cinnamon sugar and topped with apple slices, I'd give it a 7.6/10. - The cookies n cream was really good and is tied for my favorite, I'd give it an 8/10. - The Cinnamon Toast Crunch was easily the worst of the flavors I had. The toppings (cereal) tasted very stale & dry and the donut wasn't very fresh compared to the others. - The maple bacon was really good and is also tied for my favorite, I'd give it an 8/10 as well. - The fruity pebbles was alright. - The blueberry cheesecake comes with a .25 upchare and it was pretty solid, I'd give it a 7.5/10 (right under granny's apple pie). I was bored so i did a search for donuts. O's donuts had good reviews so it was off to see the Donut Wizard!! The store is located in a small shopping center off 21st street. When we walked in we were kinda sorta in some strange way greeted. The girl at the register stood there waiting a little impatiently. So i advised her it was our first time there. I got a half dozen of the fruity pebbles, oreo, apple pie, and cream cheese donuts... It was about $12 which wasn't bad. They also have a gluten free option. Keep in mind these are small donuts, not an average size. The donuts are similar to Duck Donuts where they're made to order and you choose your toppings. They have classic and specialty flavors. We waited about 5 minutes which wasn't bad at all. The presentation looked good, most of the donuts were warm but not hot. The ones that were hot tasted better, but the ones that weren't hot the texture was thick and they weren't as good. They are cake donuts. The donut itself is kinda bland in my opinion. So the toppings are the star of the show!! Apple pie donut: tasted pretty good with apples, cinnamon, sugar, and i added vanilla frosting. The apples are canned apples that they didn't add anything to. So i wasn't a fan of that part. A little butter, cinnamon, and sugar could've made the apples better. Oreo donut: its nothing like the picture online. The oreos are smaller crumbs. But the pic showed big chunks of oreo pieces. It was covered in oreos though so i appreciate that. It was ok but kinda bland. If the donut was glazed as well i think i would've liked it more. Fruity pebble donut: it was hot but the fruity pebbles got tough and chewy. This was my least favorite. Cream cheese donut/w blueberries: this donut was my favorite when it was hot. The cream cheese has a lemony taste to it. I preferred the one with blueberries over the plain cream cheese. I wanted strawberries but they didn't have any or even a strawberry glaze. But it was tasty. All in all the donuts were ok. They could be better. I will say if your not gonna eat all the donuts the same day the texture will change and so will the taste. So i highly recommend only getting what you're going to eat right away. Chatted about whether my daughter could eat a donut there as she has some tree nut/peanut allergies. The woman I spoke to/helped us was a military spouses too, and was truly awesome!
