Great coffee and nice guys! What more could you ask for? Only issue is the hours open - 8am to 1pm. Wish they were opened earlier. They have weekly specials with different flavors so love to try that. We always make an effort to visit whenever we're near here.
Some of the best coffee I've had in my life. Hands down the best coffee shop in Norfolk. A lot of coffee shops often serve bitter/burnt tasting coffee; nothing of the sort here. After trying my first drink here, I immediately walked back in to complement them on the taste. Kobros makes their own house syrups that rotate throughout the year so it's always a nice treat to try their craft lattes (check out their Instagram for the latest flavor). They'll also partner with other businesses from time to time to serve food in-house or go serve coffee at a local brunch spot. Be sure to stop by and try Kobros coffee! The owners take pride in making sure you have the best experience!
Tiny little place. No frills, just a straight up coffee bar with a limited menu. This can be a good thing if the roast is excellent. This one is. They have a weekly craft latte. This week was citrus vanilla. I had it with oat milk. I honestly was scared because I wasn't sure about the flavors in a latte. I kind of hated it. I found it so gross that I nearly spit it out. The spouse loved it. I think if there had been some sweetness to it? Then it wouldn't be this weird bitter orange flavor. So why 4 stars if I hated the drink? Because I experimented with something new and the drink is well made. It didn't make me sick (no secret dairy in it). Not their fault that I didn't like the flavor profile. The spouse got a plain latte and he said it was really good. Kid got an iced latte - mocha, vanilla, lavender. The twin brothers are friendly and engaging, I enjoyed chatting with them. A little freaky (in a good way) hearing the same voice coming out of two different people. I can see why they have so many well deserved good reviews. We will go back (the prices are great, especially for the location) but I won't be so adventurous next time.
This little hidden gem was difficult to find but well worth it. Staff was super pleasant. The place was very cute. I ordered a cold brew, pumpkin spice, coffee, hands-down one of the best cold brew coffees I've had in the area! Far as pricing goes, I feel that pricing is very reasonable compared to most coffee houses. This place is a must stop I will be back .
The shop was a bit small but full of character. I loved the decor and the comfy seating. The staff was really friendly too. I knew the coffee was going to be good as soon as I walked in- high quality grinders and espresso machines, no frills on the menu but a couple specials and options for non-coffee lovers; it was perfect. I got their Spooky Charcoal Blood Orange latte with oat milk, and I loved it! My husband is a bit of a coffee connoisseur (read: coffee snob ;) ) and he really enjoyed the flavor profile of his americano. We'll definitely be back and probably buy a bag of beans too. We love finding local coffee shops that roast their own beans!
Great customer service and drinks. I ordered the matcha and craft coffee (orange), and it was SOOO delicious. They made the drinks fast with great flavor. They used quality matcha powder and whisked it in front of us. There were plants and a cool light that looks like a plant in the middle. Definitely worth the try.
Really great coffee! A bunch of my friends are regulars here and kept hyping it up to me, definitely didn't disappoint! I'd say this is more of "quick stop for coffee" vibe as opposed to a cafe where you can stop by, take a seat/table and get work done, etc. Totally nothing wrong with that, I thought it was actually pretty unique.
Always fun to find small local coffee shops while traveling around. This shop was so fun to go in, menu is limited but the quality is amazing. Syrups made in house, everything made to order. You can tell lots of care goes into every order and the baristas are super nice. Love talking to friendly people that make your day start off on the right foot.
Great espresso, great people and an amazing interior. Every time I visit I always order the current craft latte, this time was the cardamom con leche. They always always always find an amazing way to bring these flavors and drinks to life. It's quite amazing seeing how unique and original the lattes are, I cannot think of anywhere else that can really compare. The owners are always full of life and are quick to spark a conversation, they definitely took their time with their other employees because they always have that same energy with the customers. The seating area is small but makes for a personal experience while visiting. Weather it's to sit and study or to enjoy your time alone it's very calming to have a quiet place. The motorcycle in the corner is always iconic to see. Overall this is one of the first coffee shops I fell in love with when I arrived The lattes are perfect, the service is always a delight can't wait for my next order
The vibe is distinct - badass, free spirit, masculine.... Goes with the very minimalistic bar , not a lot of froo-froo (frills).... Just 4 selections of pastries: coffee cake, croissant, cookies and muffins. I ordered the dirty chai and a slice of coffee to go. While waiting I checked out the motorcycle prop (not sure if it's working) and open shelves of coffee beans and a T-Shirt with a coffee pot as logo on the left chest. There were about 5 other customers sitting in the corner which seats probably 10 people. My phone died so no pictures. Only the to go dirty Chai and coffee cake... Coffee cake was slightly cool from being refrigerated (not freshly baked??) but it was still scrumptious and moist. Dirty Chai was tad watered down but chai aroma is there...
cool hipster coffee joint. I really love coffee and the funky flavors of the week they do. I don't live close but liked the atmosphere. Not the biggest coffee joint but that made it cool. Definitely get a coffee to go and explore the area. they take credit cards and have some baked good. If i remember correctly, they sell coffee beans- WHOLE beans. Parking is terrible. street parking only. that's not fun. but the coffee is WORTH IT!!
I was in need for some caffeine before I head over the Chrysler Museum and I came across Kobros Coffee on a whim. I'm sure glad I did. They change their Craft Lattes every week, so I bummed to find that the many flavors that I had seen on Yelp, they were not serving. Nevertheless I tried their Mocha Iced Latte with Oat Milk and Matcha Iced Latte with Oat and extra sweet. As for pastries (unfortunately not pictures) I tried their Lavender Scone and Chocolate croissant. The Lavender looked and basically tasted like a cookie was delicious. The Chocolate Croissant was good but would have been a lot better if it was warm.
This coffee shop has now become my favorite coffee shop of all time! I love that they make homemade syrups and they always compliment the season I.e. watermelon, peach flavor for the summer. I am bummed they don't offer decaf tho but the coffee is so smooth that it doesn't upset my stomach. They offer one size drink and for the price, I feel it's a tad bit on the expensive side. They also offer oat milk for us lactose intolerants lol and pastries. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Coffee snobs.. please go and check them out!!
Have been meaning to visit this place while out in Norfolk and finally made my way! The area was super intimate and cozy for a nice chill vibe, accompanied with some outdoor seating. This location has a smaller menu, but an experienced staff to recommend a good array of flavors within their drink choices. My significant other and I ordered: The Peaches seasonal latte: The freshness of the fruit shines through without overpowering the coffee. Brown Sugar Cinnamon latte: Every note balances each other out with minimal sweetness and an exaggerated flavor. I can confidently say this is one of the FEW places i've ever gotten coffee. Not the over sugared milky drink with drops of coffee flavor, but COFFEE! read more
As a coffee snob, I had to visit a couple coffee roasters when visiting family in Norfolk. Kobros Coffee shop had a cool interior, nice baristas, and the whole vibe was a comfy and chill cafe. Another customer in line even asked us if we've been before and told us about the fun latte flavors. My mom and I ordered a cold brew each, and it was my mom's favorite cold brew she's ever had! It was good, but it was interesting because near the end of our cups, we tried each others' drinks just for the sake of things, and they tasted different - mine tasted less coffee, whereas my mom's drink had a was stronger coffee flavor. Maybe they were from different batches? Nevertheless, cold brews were great and I would order again. Like other coffee roasters in the area, if you buy a bag of beans, you get a complimentary cold brew, coffee, latte (?)! I was tempted to purchase a bag but they are so popular and only had 1 type of bean left that I don't prefer - heh, I warned that I'm a coffee snob. Would definitely go again/ask family to purchase beans for us out of towners. read more

I love their weekly specials. It's a great place to get your coffee for the day! This was a couple of weeks ago, but their weekly drinks included lemon and brown sugar flavors. For those who haven't been, Kobros post on their insta story their weekly special flavors/drinks for the week. My boyfriend goes here every weekend when he has the chance! They have interesting spritz/coffee mixes too. read more
I LOVE this place! Very small coffee shop...limited seating available. Side street parking only unless you live on the edge and park in the restaurant parking lots in hopes of not being towed lol Bathroom is available for customers. I just discovered this cute little coffee shop in Park Place and I've recently become obsessed. I met up with a friend here because she told me about their craft coffees; Every weekend Kobros features a different special flavor of coffee via their Instagram page (instagram.com/kobroscoffee). I must say, hearing "grapefruit in an iced latte" didn't entice me too much, but after I took that first sip, it tasted like "mmm" with a side of "yes gawd!" It tasted almost like a creamsicle in a cup. I've also had an iced cinnamon vanilla latte and it hit the spot as well. I also want to comment on how friendly and efficient the service is here as well, despite the lines that accumulate, the wait time hasn't been too long either time I visited. All in all, I am a big fan of Kobros, and I can't wait to try more of their craft coffees. Basically, Kobros serves some of the best coffee in the Hampton Roads area, and my eyes will be glued to their Instagram page every week. read more

When I think about the types of places that make Norfolk special I think of places like Kobros Coffee. This small coffee joint proves that dedication and care can truly make an impact on a community. Sean and Erik are the twin brothers behind Kobros. Together they are bringing ever-changing craft lattes, quality drinks, and their passion for the community to the growing coffee scene in Norfolk. What I like most about Kobros is how often they are doing something different. On most Friday nights you can kick off the weekend under their neon signs for DecaFriday. I'm not aware of any other coffee shop in the area that is vibing until 8 PM on a Friday. The brothers occasionally dedicate their proceeds made on a DecaFridays to a local organization. They're given money to the Urban League of Hampton Roads, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, WHRO, and the LGBT Life Center. They also are bringing single-origin beans from outside of the region The best place to keep up with this business, for now, is on Instagram @kobroscoffee. Every week they are posting what's new and letting their followers know if there are changes to their hours. They recently announced they are moving into a permanent space just about three blocks away so make sure to stay up on their Instagram. There is so much more I could say but truly I want you to go and check out this place for yourself. Kobros is a place to keep your eye on. read more

Very good cup of Java, roasted and brewed in house. Wife enjoyed her caramel latte, both taste and presentation. My black coffee was also pretty good, although staff forgot to give it to me. They may have missed their morning coffee too, Lol...which would explain the initial "quiet" greeting on entry. Baked goods are insanely good. That cinnamon roll! OMG. Delicious and not overly sweet. Egg white frittata called and my appetite answered; splendid in both taste, temperature, and texture. $24 for all 4 items with tip. Gender neutral restroom available in close proximity to the wall mounted book share shelf. Can't wait to visit again soon. read more

Affordable and delicious coffee that doesn't cost an arm and a leg nowadays. I got the peach latte with oat milk, and the espresso was really good. What I like about the espresso is that it was overly sour or definitely doesn't taste old (aka like cardboard). Not sure if they used medium roast or not tasted like it? I also tried a few other flavors like watermelon and lavender citrus. I would say the flavor profile for the peach is stronger and helps balance the coffee flavor than the other two. The lavender citrus was mostly lavender and the watermelon I could taste a bit of it, but idk it's tough to say if it reminds me of the rinds or the actual flesh. Got some baked items too, it was okay. I got a croissant, muffin, and a whoppie pie. Friendly service, cute but limited seating space. Definitely will come back, would come more often if it wasn't so far from me. read more

Absolutely amazing coffee and tea in a cool and artsy little spot. Of all coffee shops in the area, Kobros is hands down the best. The bros who own the shop are super nice and the coffee is legit some of the best I've had anywhere. read more
I'm a big fan of this place, when they first started it was down the street from my house and I walked there a couple times for my drinks. They're absolutely amazing, and I love how they seem to think outside the box with their drinks. I've tried a few different ones, and they've all been pretty delicious. I agree with a lot of the reviews I see calling them addictive. The coffee is always smooth, and perfectly made how I ask. I really have a soft spot for their tea, I continue to tell myself I need to go back for some lol. Sometimes when you go into coffee shops there's this weird intimidating vibe? Idk if anyone can relate, but yeah here it was very chill and laid back and I loved that about it. It has a very modern look that I enjoy as well. Everyone was really friendly. I for sure plan on going back when possible to try some more drinks there. read more
My boyfriend and I decided to stop here on the way to brunch and were pleasantly surprised. We both are very particular when it comes to coffee so we were lucky in finding this gem. If you like your coffee super sweet I wouldn't say this is the spot for you. I got the iced mocha latte w/ oat milk and it was was the perfectly balance of sweetness for me personally. My boyfriend got the regular iced latte and that to me had no hint of sweetness to it at all but he likes his that way! The service was really great and the cashier was sure to let us know about their specialty drink of the week which was a blackberry lime latte. The ambiance is pretty cool, not much seating area though. However a lot of people that came in seemed to be on the move and took their coffee to go which was the case for us as well! I would definitely revisit here to try their specialty drinks! read more

Kobros Coffee is a low-key local coffee shop with the grinds you'll find. The quaint shop is boasting with character and the coffee menu is just as robust as their brews. From their pour overs to their hand crafted chai to their weekly craft latte, you'll never go wrong! I wish I could tell you my favorite treat from Kobros but everything is my favorite! Along side their tasty coffee menu is a rotation of delectable bakery treats! No proof to show you because I ate them all before I could snap a photo. But some of my favorites so far are the cinnamon rolls and bread pudding. If you haven't tried Kobros, you are truly missing out! Support local and support the military owners! read more

Kobros has quickly become my latest coffee obsession. I crave their iced craft lattes (a unique flavor changing weekly) on a daily basis - limiting myself to one or two visits a week has been a struggle. Recently moved into their new space located beside Bangkok Garden, Kobros has overwhelmed the Norfolk coffee community with their "low-key, local" spirit. They use some of the finest roasts available, while regularly rotating between them. As for the space itself: it's not huge, but it's cozy and fit for a meeting amongst friends when they're not too busy. If you like a bigger and brighter space for working, I would recommend going elsewhere. But if you're looking for some of the best coffee in the area, especially on-the-go, look no further than Kobros. They're currently open until 8pm 5 days a week, so they're also a prime choice for your evening meet-ups or pick-me-ups. They use Instagram to keep us updated on events and the latest craft flavor (some examples: cherry, cara cara orange, peach, grapefruit, and all the maple-y fall vibes when the time comes). They often host fundraisers for community organizations and with local influencers. I could go on, but go on and stop by. read more

5 stars, and I wish I could add more. I'm a lover of coffee and this is my first visit and I have zero complaints. The parking is going to have to be street parking. It's located near other shops, so if you need to get a workout going or need to grab a bite to eat, it's all relatively close by. When you walk in, they're limited to seating. A seating by the window, one table in the middle, and a small couch. The entire place is painted black/grey, and gives an edgy vibe. The music wasn't overly loud. The staff was very friendly. The coffee.... So good. Creamy. My husband and I both got the vanilla latte, one iced and one hot. And I love them both ways! Just the right amount of sweetness. A good balance. I do wish there was a larger size, because I can drink a lot of coffee, but all the small details are nothing compared to the taste. They also have craft lattes that they change weekly. Probably going to be my new go-to for a quick coffee pick-up. read more
I am not a coffee aficionado, but this coffee shop was really good. Coined as low key local, it is high key delicious. I got a vanilla latte with oat milk (which is my most preferred alt dairy option) and it was really good. Service was quick, a few tables inside, and the craft latte options looked unique (Hibiscus clove and Black pepper maple)! I believe they change their craft latte specials so check out their social media for what's being served. Parking might be an issue, but there is street parking for quick pick ups. read more
Kobros coffee is my favorite! I'm happy for the opening of their new location! The flavors come together perfectly, my favorite is their Tahitian vanilla latte. Kobros Coffee is a local coffee shop in Park Place near many top-rated restaurants, breweries and murals. Brewing coffee from a garage space, their menu attracts all generations.
