    Mother's Day donuts 2025
    Ruby S.

I love trying all the local donut shops - but glazed is one I have come back to time and time again. I've gotten Mother's Day donuts, Christmas donuts, birthday donuts & of course - just because donuts. Ordering online is super easy, they've always contacted me if there's ever been an issue. The employees are super nice & they have a drive through which is so convenient! I don't live in Hampton, but I do make the drive for these yummy donuts

Stopped by after eating brunch nearby. It was mid day and the donuts look good in the case. I got an apple fritter, Boston cream, swirl donut, and blueberry donut. I thought all were kind of dry. Consistency not redeeming. It looks great. But donuts need to be a little soft or chewy or "moist" in their own way. I like crunchy but not if it's dry. I would not return. Maybe some of these taste better than the ones I got. I did ask them for the more popular flavors. It's not terrible but definitely don't feel the need to return. It's a cute place though and they serve food too.

Delicious Cinnamon Roll that does have just the right amount of icing that had soaked in making it even more tasty!

The baked cinnamon rolls! I'm about to place my pre-order for tomorrow now! I do wish they were open a little later, I work 3rd shift & can't go straight after work so my sleep gets in the way sometimes but I love that they can be ordered ahead too & with the drive threw i can throw on slippers for pickup

Glazed, chocolate iced cakes with sprinkles, chocolate iced cake, fried cinnamon roll, and Apple fritter

After reading the reviews, I made sure to come early to avoid a sell-out. After walking through the door, I literally felt like a kid in a candy store. There were so many delicious-looking options! For starters, I had to try the fried cinnamon roll. It was a lot larger than I had expected. I also purchased Glazed yeast doughnuts, as well as a couple of the Chocolate Iced cake doughnuts. Similar to the other establishments that I visited in the area, the service was very welcoming and pleasant. The sales associate was patient with explaining the different doughnuts and flavors with me. Very cute shop and very good service.

Fried cinnamon roll and doughnut holes

These doughnuts are excellent! The have this fried cinnamon roll, which is so delightful!! Beware, it's huge though - half of it is in my freezer for when I want something sweet :-) I placed an order online for some gluten-free doughnuts. They offer gluten-free/sensitive doughnuts on the first Saturday of the month. When I got there to pickup the order, they had some doughnut holes left so I got those and some more gluten-free ones since I was traveling. My family absolutely loved them! I even talked a customer into trying the gluten-free glazed - he was sold!! I highly recommend placing an order early because they sell out.

Went on early Friday but they were sold out of a lot of the donuts I wanted but no problem. One of the workers helped me place an order so I could pick them up the next day. I got 1 glazed + a dozen assorted (2 baked cinnamon roll, 1 fried cinnamon roll, 1 Apple fritter, 1 coconut donut, 1 fruity pebble donut, 1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut, and 1 Oreo donut) for 24$. I had the the baked cinnamon roll, fried cinnamon roll, Oreo donut, fruity pebble donut, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the Apple fritter. The donuts and baked goods were good. If I was ranking them I'd say baked cinnamon roll, Oreo donut, Apple fritter, fried cinnamon roll, fruity pebble donut, and then the Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut.

A friend and I stopped into the adjacent bistro for lunch in what waa for many years La Bodega wine shop. There were 3 large empty cases and a menu notation of donuts subject to availability from Glazed Doughnuts next door. As we were finishing up, a most friendly young man carried in 2 large trays of assorted doughbuts. I jumped up and selected 6 of them - a blueberry filled, strawberry filled, key lime, a chocolate cream and a vanilla cream and one with a dollop of cream in the center. My friend and I each enjoyed the decadent cream, just sweet enough to please the palate and the incredibly FRESH flavors. These doughnuts are like hand made little pillows of sweet fresh baked goodness. As I was finishing, he carried in another tray with a lone coconut topped cupcake nestled among other varieties. I had to have it and it did not disappoint! Every bite was just enough flavor that it waa satisfying and not calling me to stuff down 3 more to keep the sugar fix intact. I love these doughnuts. If they make French Cruellers I may think I am in heaven!

    Gluten free donuts

The first Sat of each month Glazed offers gluten free & vegan donuts. They are all made with a vanilla cake base and then different icing of your choosing. When trying to walk in several times at 8am they'd be sold out so I finally pre-ordered to avoid the disappointment. They are $3.50 per donut and I tried 3. The lemon iced, fruity pebbles and Blueberry iced. I went through the drive through to avoid the craziness inside the small building. Service was quick and efficient. My favorite donut ended up being the lemon iced. The fruity pebbles cereal was a bit stale like it was sitting out for awhile. The actual donuts themselves were really good which is important. The texture was great it wasn't too dry or falling apart.

High quality, delicious doughnuts ! They are big enough to split and still be enough for two people. The flavors are out of this world! The employees behind the counter are always friendly and make wonderful suggestions ! I have not tried a doughnut yet that I didn't like. The little caffe front is super cute with plenty of room to sit and study or just have casual conversation. Very light and airy atmosphere. Definitely recommend! Go check them out!

I got there very late in the morning. They sell put so get there early!.

Great service. Amazing freshly made doughnuts And they made me a cup of fresh brewed decaf They even grind the beans fresh. The variety of fresh made doughnuts is extensive but get there early as they sell out. Nice vibe.

Small Boston cream filled donut and strawberry frosted donut

Huge selection of pretty, yummy, fresh donuts! Cute little spot and service was friendly and patient! I recommend the cold brew, it came with a big ice cube and I thought that was neat The mini donuts were my favorite!! I'll be back

In terms of taste, the donuts were ok. They were above average in taste, but far too expensive for donuts.

We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :)

Um YES PLEASE!!!…read more This was a last minute decision to stop when we were on our way back from the farmers market and BOY am I glad we stopped in! Buckroe coffee was one of the best coffee shops I've been to in quite some time, too bad it's on the other side of the water from our house! Walking in you can tell it was once a bank, LOVE older buildings and stories like this! The atmosphere inside was amazing, there were all different types of customers enjoying conversation, working, and just enjoying time in their 3rd place. I ordered a blended mocha frappe. PERFECT on the hot day! My daughter ordered a lemon & white chocolate latte and it was one of the best she has had (and like her mother, she does love her coffee and is VERY picky) My husband went the non coffee route and ordered a Mango smoothie and found it refreshing and finished it in the car on the way home. If you are on the hampton side of the water I highly recommend you stopping at Buckroe coffee. You will not be disappointed. It's tucked away on Fort Monroe - a little off the beaten path for me, but well with the visit. Google maps had me coming from the back side of the building but once you find your way around, there is ample parking and some outdoor seating for nice days. Like any converted firehouse the only windows are from the large roll-up doors. The inside is cozy with plenty of comfy seating. They offer free Wi-Fi and activities for little ones including lots of fire trucks to play with so this would be a nice spot for families. Already planning to bring my family in for a stop on the way to Williamsburg. Plenty of coffee and non-coffee options plus seasonal specials and tons of flavor choices, including sugar free. I opted for a sugar-free dark chocolate latte which was delicious - perfect level of sweetness and just the right temperature. I also ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on naan bread. They have multiple cheese and other bread options. The egg was a little over seasoned but flavor was good. Compared to the major chains and other independent coffee shops, prices here are reasonable. Overall a great visit with welcoming and helpful staff. Looking forward to a trip back!

My sister had the brownie topped with walnuts and icing, she said it had no taste. It lacked the chocolate smell, and she was right when I tasted it it was kind of bland. The best description would be it tasted brown. My niece bought the cupcakes. Other than being dry, the triple strawberry cupcake was OK, but the wedding cake cupcake was "tainted" with an overwhelming almond flavor, so much so you could smell it. Lastly, I had the sourdough pound cake, which also had the overwhelmingly almond flavor. It was dry, and the butter flavor was completely missing. I live in New Jersey, where there are wonderful diners that serve delicious desserts, and my favorite go to dessert is German chocolate cake. I was sorely disappointed when I found it was only one layer topped with the German chocolate cake coconut icing. The icing was OK but the cake was gummy and it lacked the extra coconut in the batter and there were no nuts or nut flavoring in the in the cake part. I found the prices to be a bit high, we spent probably close to $65 on these desserts. The ambience was cute and inviting, and the service was great. I think they need to rework some of their recipes, or maybe use better ingredients.
