This place was not as big as I hoped, so it was sort of a wait to get a table, and the parking area is small, I had to park across on the main street. It was crowded when I arrived and I assumed it was because of the small indoor and outdoor seating area. Nope, it was purely because people loved dining here and I totally understand! The food was delicious! I treated myself to the lemon blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon, and a coffee. Don't underestimate the size of the pancakes in the picture lol there were thick and fluffy I almost couldn't finish it! Definitely worth bringing home as leftovers! Nice balance of cocoa to coffee and not too sweet. *Carissa's Corned Beef Hash was outstanding, and the perfectly fried egg on top really sealed the deal. *The Posole Verde was phenomenal on flavor, presentation, and the addition of the (perfectly executed) Scotch Eggs was mind-blowing in both its uniqueness and flavor profile. This might be the perfect breakfast dish, as it was hearty and filling but light enough not to make one feel bloated. *Local brews on-tap *Prices are very reasonable for the quality and taste. I could see places in the Bay Area charging 1.5-2× as much for this quality of dishes. The Meh: *Templeton isn't the first place that crosses ones mind when visiting SLO County, but for food this good, it's worth seeking out. The Ugly: *Parking lot is a touch small and could fill up fast. Yeah, there's street parking available, but I'm trying to stretch to fill my format. You understand, right, Gov'nor? Funky little spot we stopped at during a recent road trip. Was pleased that they were serving brunch until 2 pm on a Sunday. Had an egg Benedict sandwich thingy which was surprisingly good but didn't come with any sides at all and for $15 seemed a bit steep. Great vibes and great service! They always seem to be busy so do expect a little bit of a wait, but ordering is quite easy and they do have a lot of options to choose from. Love their gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options on their menu! I ordered the breakfast burrito and the iced mocha with almond milk. I really enjoyed both but definitely should have asked for more salsa for the burrito. The salsa was really good! The burrito tasted fresh and I enjoyed that it was grilled. I'm a huge fan of corned beef hash and Kitchenette's version is the best I've ever had. I love mustard with corned beef and they have this awesome mustard sauce with cabbage paired with the hash. We had the breakfast quesadilla, which was phenomenal, and what I think were the best pancakes I've ever had - the lemon blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were so fluffy, almost like soufflé pancakes. What made them stand out even more were the blueberry and lemon sauces. No syrup was needed. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning again in the future! read more

Came back to this restaurant for a nice breakfast before wrapping up the wine tasting trip. This time we took the outdoor seats in the beautiful sunny morning to enjoy the delicious breakfasts. It was very relaxed and comfy. Ordered a few different dishes, they were all delicious and good in portion size. Stopped in on a Sunday between wine pick-ups for a quick brunch. Got in just before closing and the staff were very upfront about what they had left to offer after a busy morning rush. As we had had dinner plans later in the day, we both ordered the Cowboy salad. Damn...this dish was SO good...I would EVERY time. A generous portion of fresh greens, ripe avocado, grilled chicken, sunflower seeds, tomatoes and eggs cooked to order (they were out of Scotch eggs). Wish I knew the cashier's name. The service was friendly and inviting, the atmosphere was clean and comfy and the food was top notch. I had the avocado toast with a sunny egg, everything about it was delightful. The toast was a nice rustic slice which I loved. (I ordered no bacon) I also ordered an americano which was bold and perfect. Kindness overload! I had my hair cut and walked across the street around 2:15 p.m. to the Kitchenette to grab a cup of coffee while waiting for my daughter to pick me up. Came here for a quick brunch and the line was out the door! Luckily, the line goes fast since it's just ordering and you self-seat. We got the breakfast panini, açaí bowl, and fresh squeezed orange juice. Honestly the best meal I've had in Paso Robles so far on my short weekend getaway. The service was great and the food was even better. The panini surprised me and was delicious! Açaí was so cold my teeth was suffering but it was tasty. The bananas in it didn't feel quite ripe yet but didn't bother me too much. My 1.5 year old loved the OJ. Indoor and outdoor seating available, even bar seating, but no high chairs for little ones. I stopped by here on the way up to the bay for a late brunch. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my friend ordered the pork burrito. The breakfast burrito ($15) was pretty good. I really enjoyed the house salsa that came with it and the potato croquette inside was just the right crisp yet not oily. The pork burrito ($16) was more so like a true Mexican burrito with the beans and rice inside. This burrito was a tad messy, probably from the juices of the beans. My friend gave it a 8/10. The ambiance was cute, I really liked the decor inside. It was also very clean and had outdoor seating for those that want to bring their pets along. They also have a gender neutral bathroom on the side. The person that took our order was welcoming so that was also appreciated. Parking was fairly easy on the side street. Overall, not bad. The place was full, very noisy and the music was way to loud. After we were seated we were ignored. Last straw. We got up and left. We have tried to eat here twice now. The first time we turned away after looking at the pretty basic menu and feeling it was overpriced. I completely understand everyone has different criteria here, so we decided to try again a couple months later. This morning we waited in a line that wasn't moving due to another customer being unable to make up her mind on her order and the staff accommodating this by leaving her at the register with a growing line behind her, about 10 people long when we decided to call it as no one had been back to check to see if the gal was ready, or at the very least ask her to step to the side of the line so that other customers could order.
