We stopped by for lunch since it's close to the Electrify America charging station, where we were charging our car. We were greeted when we walked in and shown to a table. It was busy inside. It looks to be a popular local eatery. There is seating outside and inside. The inside was very nice with a moderate amount of seating. We looked over the menu and chose the chicken supreme sandwich with tortilla soup and the California chicken burger with fries. Our food came out within 10 minutes, which was fast. My husband really liked his chicken sandwich. The sandwich was a grilled chicken breast with cheese, BBQ sauce, tomatoes, sprouts and grilled onions. It was topped with sour cream. The soup was also very good. My California chicken burger was good, but the chicken breast was extremely dry and lacked seasoning. I had to add salt, and that made it better. There was bacon, avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion with a special sauce on it. The fries were perfect. I'd definitely stop by here again and try something else. The place looked really cozy and cute from the outside, and the inside had that same simple, homey vibe. I was craving pancakes, so I went for the short stack of buttermilk pancakes. Not sure if I was just hungry, but they were really good -- I finished the whole thing. Looking for a breakfast place conveniently located for most of the group we were with on the way out of town the day after a beer festival. We found this place and thought it looked perfect. Since I drank so much the day/ night before, I wanted something good but also something somewhat healthy. I ended up getting the veggie scramble, which came with potatoes and biscuit. I also ordered a coffee. I thought my food was great and the potatoes were nice and crispy. Overall, just a great place especially if it's a nice day sitting outside and eating a good meal. Quaint diner located a couple blocks from the town center serving up both breakfast and lunch. We came by for breakfast on a Saturday morning and enjoyed wonderful and quick service. We arrived early, and it's a good thing we did because by the time we left it was packed! They have both indoor and outdoor seating, though the patio was closed due to rain when we ate here. Two of us ordered a scramble and the cambrian (egg plate that came with biscuits and gravy) to share, it was more than enough food for both of us and we ended up leaving a few bites of each behind. Both plates came with potatoes too, which were surprisingly crispy. Of the two items, the scramble seemed to be the winner. It was pretty flavorful since it was packed with green chilies and came with salsa that was really good. The Cambrian was less flavorful and needed a little bit of slat and pepper to help bring it to life. As for the food, the spinach and mushroom omelette was really good. The potatoes that came with it were cooked properly and very tasty. My only knock on the place had to do with the blueberry pancakes. It was mostly pancake and very little blueberries. In comparison to other places that have blueberry pancakes, these were light on the berries so that is a one star deduction there. Stellar Huevos Rancheros! My friend and I eat here on a pretty regular basis and their food is solid: good burgers and fries, nice salads, sandwiches, everything done well. But today I had the huevos rancheros for the first time here at Springside - and they were the best ones I have had in a very long time. They were a little crispier than usual, almost like chilaquiles, and with a robust and chunky ranchero sauce, not too hot not too mild either. Just really excellent. I had the Garden Scramble which was scrambled eggs full of spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions and you have your choice of hash browns or fruit and I'm glad I got the fruit , it was several slices of , honeydew, cantaloupe and pineapple served upright in a cup, nice presentation. Along with your choice of homemade biscuits or an English muffin or toast. Fresh hot coffee and a very attentive staff. They have small wine bar with a couple barstools and a variety of wines . They also serve lunch. Great atmosphere with several tables . Plenty of street parking. Beautiful watercolor art displayed on the walls. I'd go next time I'm in the area. This place was okay. It was an easy go to during our long lunch breaks from class at Cuesta so conveniency was a factor in picking this place. FOOD: I got the corned beef hash with over easy eggs and a toast. You had options of homemade muffin (usually orange cranberry), english muffin or toast (sourdough/wheat/white). This dish was $14.95 (Oct. 2022 pricing). Corned beef was seasoned well not too salty neither was it bland. I love the crisp from the flat top! The inside was not dry either just perfect for me. The eggs were perfectly over easy and runny which I love to dip my toast in. The potatoes were just rightfully seasoned and cooked. Overall, happy with what I ordered SERVICE: they were very accommodating with the orders of the rest of my table. The servers were very nice and attentive. The foods came out at a fair amount of time given we were a party of 12 lol. I don't think it took 30 minutes to get our foods to be honest and that's pretty impressive. I am giving 3 stars just because this place doesn't have the wow factor for me. It's good food and good service but not on the top of my list. It's pretty basic food. If homey and simple cooking is what you are looking for without breaking the bank then this place is for you! read more

My wife and I hada wonderful meal here. A warm welcome by one of the owners started our meal. A quiet atmosphere in what appears to be a converted home with high ceilings. We shared a delicious 1/3rd pound mushroom burger with green salad and a Porker scramble with iced coffees. The burger was as good I make at home over an open oak fire. Tasty and hot with plenty of mushrooms. The first thing I noticed about the scramble was the great pork sausage taste. Served with a generous helping of fried potato cubes. No rush at all, generous but not overwhelming plates, excellent and friendly service by the hosts. We will definitely visit again to try some of their other dishes! read more

This was today's option. We parked on the side road where there were a lot of open spaces. The parking is free. We walked inside and waited for the hostess to seat us. We opted for the outside since it seemed like a larger area and the temperature was still cool. The outside seating was a good choice except for the one fly that kept bugging us. From the Omlets colums, my friend got Garden Delight omelet: tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, spinash, mushrooms, and jack cheese topped with sour cream - $14.95, with a side of bacon - $5.95. He stated that he really enjoyed his meal. From the Eggs Citing column, I got the two eggs breakfast: 2 eggs, country style breakfast, wheat toast, add chorizo - $13.95. I had the eggs and chorizo scrambled together. My meal was delicious. I also got a hot chocolate - $3.50, which was not very chocolate-y. It was more milk than chocolate. They are the kind that come with a little bottle of champagne and mini orange juice pour so you can make it yourself.
