Great ambiance and service, the food was also great. Played a round of golf and came into Deeds for a bite after a round and tried the grilled chicken sandwich. It was amazing, the chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly, nice and juicy. The roll was soft and toasted, accompanied with an aioli lettuce, onion and tomato. There is plenty of sitting at the bar or in the restaurant but the outdoor patio over looks the 18th holes and is just a view to see. read more

Deeds, who knew? Down and around a residential neighborhood, far from the usual places, comes an outstanding beautiful golf course with an outstanding bar & grill. I mean, gorgeous view. It's really, what I would consider, near upscale. Beautiful decor, with a zillion TV's built for watching sports. Then, the outside deck is enormously wide and lovely to sit out on a nice day or evening. The menu has many of the usual bar suspects, but also some outstanding items and specials like: prime rib. Lunch March 21, 2025. Ambiance: I hadn't seen the restaurant since Deeds took over. They moved the bar into the large dining room and I love the change. The bar is wonderful, pure white quartz and feels and looks so good. It's a perfect rectangle and bar staff are inside interior. Barstools have backs in them. Vinyl upholstery and are comfortable. I had a glass of pino Grigio snd it was good and a large pour. They used a big red wine glass. I had the shrimp salad which was good. The shrimp were warm and very good. Darleen had the turkey Ortega melt and she loved it. She took half home for later. Staff were busy but helpful and nice. I will be back. Oh and they turned the old bar location into the pro shop store. It's a fun place yo hang out with TVs all around the bar and sports playing. Deeds Indeed!! We stopped by on our way back from a long drive from San Francisco to grab a relaxing bite since we knew there was no food left in our house. Golf course cafes are always open, so Deeds was a good bet. It is also nice to stare out over the greens while munching on lunch and recovering from road weariness. Deeds is located in the middle of a housing area, and has a huge free parking lot. We pulled in and found a place on the large outdoor covered deck that overlooks the greens. We were greeted immediately by our friendly server, and put in our drink orders. Since this was a late lunch/dinner, I chose shrimp tacos while my husband chose one of the specials, the fried chicken sandwich. Hearty portions of our orders soon arrived, and we enjoyed a leisurely lunch before heading south. read more

I gave Deeds 2 visits before writing my review. Apparently it's a local favorite so I wanted to give it a really fair chance. 3.5 stars for food and sadly, 2 stars for less than mediocre service. First time we were able to get bar seats. In fairness, it was quite busy but the staff were more relaxed interested in socializing behind the bar and around it. I understand. When you work with other young people there's a tendency to want to "hang out". Service was slow, we were avoided on several occasions. Spinach dip was good, not great. Club sandwich was 5/5z Second visit we sat in the dining room. It was NOT busy. I ordered the blta with fries. Ended up with a salad and balsamic dressing. When I asked for ranch instead of balsamic, the server finally figured out he had brought me the wrong side and offered to correct it. I didn't care that much and went with the salad. Blta was okay but needed a little for seasoning. What really made me angry was that I was charged for my ranch. It's not the $1 charge, it was the principal. You're gonna charge me for a dressing for a salad I didn't even order in the first place? Way to keep a customer. Overall, I liked the vibe of the place but I just can't get over the "I don't give a crap" attitude of the staff. read more

This is one of our favorite new local hangouts / places for lunch in Paso. Have been several times in recent months since being in Paso more frequently while in process of relocating. Only once did I have a so-so sandwich, but it's an item I had before and totally knew it was a one-off. They made sure to get it right the next time. Friendly staff & friendly bartenders (again only 1 time had kind of a curse exchange w/ a seating host, but all other experiences have been great). Deeds is a terrific place to watch football on Sundays. But I won't be ordering any food there again. I ordered a sandwich with french fries, it came with a 2 ounce soufflé cup of ketchup on the side. I don't do ketchup so I asked for a side of barbecue sauce. They brought me another 2 ounce cup of barbecue sauce. When I received the bill, they had charged me a dollar for the side of barbecue sauce. I've never heard of being charged for condiments. If you are gonna charge me for the condiment, I think it's right you'll let the customer know when they are ordering it. What's next, charging for the ice that goes in the drinks? It has happened to me in the past and obviously I forgot about it. That's why I'm writing the review to remind myself not to eat there again. read more

Had lunch at Deeds Bar and Grill again on Friday. Been there several times over the last few years and still amazed at their food selection and friendly staff. The tacos are fantastic and the BLT is to die for. Great bar and beer selection. You won't find better indoor and outdoor accommodation's. Sitting on the balcony while enjoying a meal is great. I highly recommend Deeds Bar and Grill. Looking forward to trying their Monday night prime rib deal. read more

My 4 stars are more for the ambience and the service, the food was OK. I went for the steak dinners. And they only have that available on Monday nights. Even though there's not a lot of east side Paso dinner options, Deeds doesn't rest on their laurels. As mentioned in other reviews, looking out to manicured golf greens on the covered outdoor dining patio does create a nice ambiance. Tip: The Monday night prime rib dinner was surprisingly good and the sautéed mixed veggies were excellent, not soggy as expected. Generous wine pours and attentive service tops it off. Went last week and let me tell you I had some of the best fish and chips here that I've had in quite awhile I've eaten fish n chips all up and down the California coast and by far the best. The kitchen staff sucks, I honstly don't know why I order food there anymore. Almost 1hr Waiting for a salmon salad, but this is not the first time. Bloody pork chops that were obviously under cooked, that once sent back to the kitchen you would think they would get it right, but when it came back stilly bloody. I have also received under cooked fish with fish and chips not even fully tawed. I'm lucky I haven't got sick and I don't know if other people have but I wouldn't be surprised. Was there recently for some R&R. Very nice set up with ambiance. The outdoor seating faces the golf course (eastern exposure so doesn't get too hot in the afternoon), with fans/heaters available. (It is hard for my mother to wait for a seat at 90 years old, she has some health problems). The hostess told my sister that they do not take reservations but as long as somebody in the party showed up about 15 to 20 minutes before the party arrived that they would prepare a table for us. So my sister my wife and I if we could arrive 15 to 20 minutes early and ask them to get a table ready for our party at 9. My wife and I showed up to the restaurant 20 minutes early and told the host that we had a party of nine coming at 6pm and could you please prepare a table. He proceeded to tell us that in order for them to prepare a table for a party of 9 that at least half the party had to be there. It wasn't like the restaurant was crowded, there was probably 50 to 60 open seats between the inside and the outside seating. I then proceeded to explain to the man (probably 22-23 years old) that this was for my mom's 90th birthday and that I guarantee our party will be arriving, and that just a few days ago the hostess on duty told us to just arrive 15 minutes early and ask to have a table made up so that our mother wouldn't have to wait. He adamantly denied us a table until at least 1/2 of our party was there. Then I asked him if I could if we could speak to the manager and that's when he told us "I am the manager". I told him, thanks a lot, turned around and we left. There was no way that my wife and I we're going to wait for the rest of our party to arrive and then have this person put our table together and pay at the end of the evening. My attitude was not feeling this restuarant anymore. Nor will I ever set foot in this establishment again. We have been here for close to 50 breakfast meals and many dinners in the past. Until this manager leaves or is terminated we'll never return. This is unfortunate for the owners to have employes of this caliber. This is not some exclusive country club in Bel-Aire. It's basically a coffee shop that has pretty good food and a nice bar. I don't care what their policies are. For paying customers, you might want to listen a little closer and leaving by your restuarant 101 Bible at home if you expect to retain customers. We had a group of eight (4 couples) for lunch, we requested separate checks for each couple.The manager said "NO", a group of 8 could only split the check evenly. Two of the couples did not have alcoholic beverages and did not want to pay for them. Other restaurants (McPhee's or Guest House Grill), we frequent, always let us have separate checks for groups of this size. The service was good. The food was okay , a little pricey for what you got.
