    Special ramen of the season

Amazing food, staff, and ambiance! I loved the ramen combo, which included an appetizer and a drink.

Modern type seating, not the most comfortable but you arent going to be seating there for long periods of time. It's usually very busy so be prepared to wait. Feeling cold? This is the perfect place to grab some ramen which will warm you up. The portions are perfect and ramen comes hot! Chicken Spicy Garlic- really open up the sinuses!! Its so delicious! Age Gyoza- this was very delicious as well. The dumplings were steamed to perfection!

Its another Kinton Ramen. You have to lower your expectations than some of the other ramen placea in the city. I didn't like how much ketchup was on the fried chicken as a sauce. The garlic ramen was decent, broth was good but noodles could have been better cooked. Overall a 3 star experience.

In the time of COVID, Kinton is currently offering a special three-course meal - Kintonlicious - for $16.99. Choice of ramen, app and dessert is included in the deal. I opted for the Original Pork Ramen (sea salt, pork, seasoned egg, nori, scallions) with thin noodles, Komi Chicken (karaage fried chicken in a komi sauce served on arugula and topped with pickled red ginger and garlic chips), and Matcha Cheesecake (baked matcha green tea cheesecake). It was nice that the ramen was delivered separately from the broth, to avoid overcooking the noodles. Unfortunately the ramen did not travel well as a to-go meal; the lack of broth made the noodles clump together into a ball in the bowl. While the pork was unremarkable, the seasoned egg was delicious and perfectly cooked with a soft centre. The Komi Chicken was lovely seasoned and was the best part of the meal. The Matcha Cheesecake was a very small serving size. Service was ok. Street parking available. Easy TTC access, located by Runnymede subway station. TLDR; ramen takeout experience was not very good; good chicken appetizer; overall small serving size

The Runnymede Kinton Ramen location is very ideal to start business here because population is very dense on the west side of Toronto, and for this reason it's already gaining points for me. The quality of the ramen and broth is just as good as any other Kinton stores. There is even an exclusive ramen flavour which is the charcoal bowl that is advertised outside the store. I recommend this location, no hesitation

Early in April ordered on ubereats from Kinton the "double cross over set". It was well packaged and food was nice and hot. The spicy dipping sauce thar came with the chicken was a good compliment to it. The portions are good for two people. This is indeed good portions for snacking in front do the tv with a good mug of beer! Minus one star - mainly because the food you can really taste the reused cooking oils that the food was deep fried in. It's nice Kinton periodically updates the menu with some new ideas.

The was an awesome Saturday night delivery. !! This came perfectly packaged. I could've eaten in the bowl provided but I like the extra space. The temperature was perfect. The appetizer was awesome very garlicky I highly recommend I bought from the Kintonlicious deal. Kinton truly is the good too ramen! Always Delivers a consistent product.

The design on the wall. Very nice! :)

SPECIAL COVID-19 EDITION REVIEW: SAFETY PRACTICES, PROTOCOLS AND MORE. OPEN DURING COVID-19. (Stage 3 of the province of Ontario reopening) This Kinton Ramen is located on Bloor, there's lots of neighbourhood street parking (be careful it's only for an hour). This is the newest and most contemporary of them all, so there's a lot to talk about. Same deal, contacting tracing sheet, same everything else but let's talk about what's different... there's plexiglass all over the kitchen, the chairs are much more comfortable, there are designs up on the wall (see pictures) This is a great Kinton with fantastic service and customer service. Pork shoyu tasted better than usual, usually it's much colder but it was hot here which was nice. I ordered the pork shoyu with edamame and pork gyozas on the side. After we received our free 10 pork gyozas with our stamp card last time, and it tasted so great, we decided to order them. 4 of them costed about $4.50 but they are honestly to die for. Not sure what that sauce consists of but the employee said mayo and something spicy. They were extremely attentive but I feel like this partly has to do with because it wasn't busy at all and practically dead. They had more people on the patio though, this could be because covid is going up in Ontario at the moment. The edamame was nice and salted well, they gave something to put the shells in too, which is nice. Restaurants sometimes forget that. Overall, good food, good service, nothing to complain about even though I feel like part of why people read my reviews is partly due to my complaining LOL just kidding but it's also to give you the experience and help you save money! 4/5 Great job, Kinton! :)

Stopped in at this new KintonBloor West. I was seated right away and greeted at the door by the entire staff. I sat at the bar and ordered the Spicy Miso Garlic Pork Ramen. I also added a egg to my Ramen! The soup arrived quick. It was pipping hot which was perfect on a cold winter day. The noodles had a nice spring with a little chew. They were perfect. It was also cool they had you choose between thick and thin noodles. I went with thin. The broth was spicy on a heat level is was probably a 3 out of 5. The pork was nice and tender and the fatty pieces were like butter. The pork went well with the added boiled egg. The only issue would be that it was a little to garlicky. It stayed with me all day. Next time I'll ask for less garlic. Kinton is a great addition to the Bloor West. It also adds variety to an area with alot of same type restaurants. I will definitely return!

2.5 stars Round up to 3 Ambience is awful; loud, cramped, crummy chairs, the yelling upon entry is played out/annoying With average tip; 2 small bowls about 35 bucks, $$$$$$$$ (pricey). Broth was very good (miso)

I came here for Kinkalicious, which is the Kinka family of restaurants' own version of Summerlicious and is available on the same days. It was less expensive than the lowest cost dinner of Summerlicious at just $20 for a 3 course meal. The meal includes an order of fried komi chicken, a MASSIVE bowl of delicious ramen, and a scoop of ice cream. My party of three got there just before 7 on a Friday and had no problem getting seated. 10 minutes later and it would have been a problem. This location was far more spacious than others I've been to, with tables that could seat up to 6 people in the front, and many more single person or 2 person seats in the back. It was here that I noticed how modern furnishings are terrible insulators of sound - there were at least 3 children there all at the same, and they were loud. The komi chicken was shockingly good. The sauce was slightly sweet and a bit gingery, and they were brushed on delicately so it doesn't distract from the flavor of the chicken. The breading was generous and served fresh and crispy, and it was perfectly balanced with the meaty chicken. The fish was so good that it got picked clean - lettuce and all. I played around with customizations on my ramen, and it came out great. I really wanted the flavor of the spicy garlic pork, but I had been put off by the fattiness of the broth before, so this time I got it with light broth and added veggies. Soooooo much better! The broth still had a kick and was absolutely delicious, and the only reason I couldn't finish it was because of the massive portion and the fact that I had been dieting. And of course, a scoop of matcha ice cream was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal!

My friend had the King of Kings as our server said this is one of their most popular choices. I opted for the Spicy Charsu. Now I understand some people can't handle heat but I live off of Purple Tongue hot sauce which is made with some pretty hot peppers. I asked for a level one and the lady explained that the spice level on the Charsu was a whole series of levels higher than the King of Kings. I get that . Give me the heat. Anywho, she was comfortable with giving me 0.5 but said I could make it hotter if need be. Ok, better to start smaller I guess. They put some sauce on the side which I added to my bowl. Personally I found the 0.5 a nice tingle; it was good. Made my nose run. But I'm totally getting the level 1 next time. My friend however tried a sip of my broth, spit it out and said poison poison because of the heat Mind you, his King of Kings was a level 1. Which to me tasted creamy and delicious. I love a good pork bone soup and I opted for the Spicy Charsu because of the pork bone base. I loved the broth. It was perfection. The noodles were so fresh . The portion size was enormous. I kept eating and more noodles appeared. The Charsu had an amazing flavor to it . Smoky and delicious . My friend is a larger man and even he commented on the portion size saying he would be ok with a smaller size as he was so full. Good portions for your money. We also had the Gyoza and the TakoYaki. The TakoYaki was soft and loaded with the delicious sauce. The Gyoza were enormous. We were both 100% satisfied with our visit and will be back for sure.

The concerned server told me that it may be painful, but being the chili head that I am, I gladly took on the challenge. It was a larger bowl than their regular size and my ramen came topped with lots of corn, some mushrooms, bean sprouts and 6 large pieces of chasu. The broth was magma red, but it was not as spicy as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was spicy but not to the point where it would warrant a warning. The spicy broth tasted like a mix of Buldak sauce and Capsaicin, but didn't have much depth. I finished my ramen, broth and all and enjoyed most of the experience. The least favorite was the chasu and the egg as chasu did not taste fresh, and I could not taste the char on them at all. The egg was over-cooked and under marinated which was disappointing. It's still one of the few ramen options in Durham but can't say it's comparable to the other Kenzo locations.

Reach ten stamps and you get a free bowl of ramen. - The chashu is excellent! My rating is 4.5 stars. I'm rounding down. Last Tuesday, I had my monthly 7 am meeting with a bunch of technical writing peers from around the world. It's quite the meeting that typically lasts for four hours. Luckily, we ended earlier than usual. It meant that my workday ended at around 3:30 pm. It was perfect, as I had a concert to attend several hours later. Normally, I don't do dinner before a concert. I grab a quick bite to each before I head downtown. This time, since I was done work early, I felt that having an early dinner was worthwhile. I drove downtown and parked in a lot that seems to be my usual spot whenever I'm attending a concert at Massey Hall. My original plan was to find an eatery close to the concert venue. I spotted Hokkaido Ramen Santouka steps away. I wanted ramen! I walked in and there was a sign that said to wait. I had no wait time. A woman and the entire staff greeted me. I asked for a table for me and got one. It was great. Seating between tables and diners is close together. You definitely overhear conversations and you can't help it. The man next to me had stretched his foot under my table. I didn't notice that he was in my space until I uncrossed my leg and my foot hit his. I listened to two friends next to me. The man seemed to take charge over what he and his female friend should eat, which was interesting. He gave the impression that he was an expert until the server came over and he had a ton of questions. It's always fun being an observer and listener. I had no choice but to listen to her dating experiences. I got a menu. I knew what I wanted. My server came over and was ready to take my order. I got these items: - Diet Coke - Miso chachu ramen, with bamboo shoot held - Jammy egg and corn as extra toppings The menu doesn't tell you what ingredients you get in each type of ramen. However, it does come with a photo. I asked how large a large bowl of ramen was. My server was great pointing up to a display of three bowls. I went large. The photo indicated that my miso ramen had bamboo shoots. I'm not a fan of them, so I asked that they be omitted. I also added a jammy egg and corn. I got a cold can of Diet Coke. A frosted glass with ice accompanied it. I was happy. I love an icy cold drink. This one was excellent. I loved that it was extra cold. My bowl of ramen had arrived. I was excited to dive in. My miso chachu ramen was delicious. The miso flavour was on point. I drank most of the broth, which speaks volumes on how yummy it was. The chachu was tender and had the best balance of pork and fattiness. The number of slices was generous. The ramen was chewy and perfectly done. I loved the corn and jammy egg. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed my ramen without these two key toppings. They worked nicely with the green onions. What prevents me from giving this place a perfect rating is flagging a server to get me water, or to frankly flag any staffer for something, such as ordering dessert or getting the bill. It took effort and hand-waving to get their attention. It took two tries to get a glass of water with ice. I was happy when I got some after I had finished my Diet Coke. It was equally as cold and yummy. I ordered dessert. The menu is stuck on each table. I asked what ice cream flavours were available. There were two flavours and I went with matcha. It was rich, creamy, and full of strong matcha flavour. The scoop of ice cream was generous. I loved the small spoon, which allowed this dessert to last a lot longer. I asked for the bill. I got a payment machine. I used my credit card to pay and tip. All was great. I used the washroom before I headed over to explore the downtown area. The washrooms are downstairs. It's an older building, so accessibility is an issue. There are two single-stall washrooms. The one that I used was clean. Because it's an older building, the ceiling is low. I am just shy of six feet in height. I made it without hitting my head on the ceiling. If you are six feet and taller, you'll need to duck to make sure you don't bang your head. Staff say goodbye to you when you leave. It was a nice touch, although I don't know what they are saying to me in Japanese. They could be swearing at me and I wouldn't know. I had a wonderful experience here. If you don't mind sitting close to folks and waving your arms like a maniac to get your server's attention, come here. This ramen joint appeared as a Michelin place in 2017. I can see why. The food quality is excellent. (200)
