I didnt know different Kings Kitchen location has different menu. I saw on YouTube that they have expanded menu like wellness dishes, or taro puff. This restaurant only have limited menu. The expanded menu is only at 60 Street location. We ordered the sparerib claypot, 3 choice barbecue meat which we chose roast duck, roast pig, and roast pork. We also ordered wonton noodle soup. Food isn't good at all. The claypot rice smelled burnt. I dont like spare rib flavor either. The wonton noodle soup is ok. The barbecue item are also mid. I didnt realize it is the same chain sore as the new one in Flushing. The one in Flushing is also horrible. Not sure if I will try the 60th street location now. read more

Chinese @ Brooklyn, Chinatown This was a first time eating at the Brooklyn Chinatown restaurant. We were walking along the 8th Ave and just walked in. It appears they have various locations. The pork/preserved egg congee was delicious with a huge portion. The soup base of dumpling noodle soup and duck noodle soup was light and not too salty but the noodles were overcooked. The Chinese broccoli was overcooked. The rice in pork rib clay pot was crispy and fluffy but the ribs had too much fat and not much of meat. For the price, the portions you get and the quality of food is great! The spot is also always packed it seems which show how popular the food is with people in the area. First, the cashiers were oddly aloof. I waited a couple of minutes in front of them, before I felt the need to say hello to them. I would be less annoyed if the place was busy but the cashiers weren't help anyone and were face planted into their phones. This dine-in restaurant is very small, about 8-10 tables, but it is well organized and clean inside. The waiters were very prompt, attentive and friendly. We came for the clay pot rice and we ordered two, the eel clay pot rice and the salty chicken clay pot, both came out excellent. We also ordered the beef Chow fun as one of my sons loved it a lot. The beef was just right, not chewy at all. I liked the pork offal congee, the offal seemed to be cleaned and not smelly. My husband did not really like the offal, but he said the congee base was good. The hoi sin sauce and peanut butter sauce mixed rice roll was good. We stopped by for lunch today and ordered their Two Choices of BBQ on Rice, one with roasted pork and roasted duck, and the other with roasted pig and scallion chicken (we actually asked for soy sauce chicken, but somehow got scallion chicken instead). The roasted pork and roasted pig were undeniably the stars of the show. The roasted pork was juicy and well-marinated, while the roasted pig had tender meat and crisp, crackling skin. Unfortunately, although the roasted duck was visually appealing, it fell flat in terms of flavor. The scallion chicken, too, was unremarkable, and the cuts were either too dry, too fat, or lacked meat entirely. I usually get some their congee, and 2-3 choice of BBQ with rice and a appetizer! Their portion size is big for the combo that comes with rice. If you follow my reviews, I sound like a broken record at this point but I just LOVE steamed rice rolls and this is a great place for those. Last month I placed a huge order via Uber Eats and was super satisfied with pretty much everything. Got the rice noodle rolls w/ shumai, fried fritter rice noodle rolls w/ fish, rice noodle rolls w/ roast pork... all super delicious but actually wasn't that big of a fan of the mixed sauces one - I've had better. Also ordered the chicken rice casserole (very good), taiwan braised pork on rice (meh, a little overcooked - can be skipped), dumpling noodle soup (good), singapore curry mei fun (a classic, very good), and roast duck & pork over rice (good). Maybe the roast meats aren't the best to get by the pound here, but I'd recommend sticking to the steamed rice rolls, noodles and claypot/casserole rice. read more

The food quality was absolutely disgusting. The portion was a joke , the roasted pork was sliced so thin it looked like paper. The "crispy" pork didn't even have a single piece of crispy skin, which is the whole point of that dish. The soy sauce chicken was insanely salty, like it had been marinated in salt. The rice was overcooked and mushy, some of it clumped together like it had been sitting out and reheated. And the vegetables? They were bland, soggy, and completely flavorless. It was absolutely unbelievable and the Resturant was no help with any refunding insisting that just because they sent out the food for delivery they did not need to refund my money. I paid nearly $14 for the meal and all I was offered by the customer service was a mere 3 dollars off $20 spent coupon and then they tried offering me $2.85. The restaurant's reply to my complaint was just as disappointing as the food itself. It was clearly a copy-and-paste response, probably sent to every unhappy customer. read more

I ordered a bunch of Cantonese dishes for lunch takeout on a Wednesday afternoon. I had to feed a group of 6 people. I ordered 2 roast pork over rice, 2 roast duck over rice, 1 three meat combo (roast pork, roast pig, roast duck) over rice, and a spare rib with black bean clay pot rice. Everything tasted great and the portions were large. They give you a lot of meat. Also, each dish (except the clay pot rice) came with Chinese vegetables and a cup of soup. We ordered 2 beef and poached egg pots, 1 beef navel pot, and 1 frog pot. Cook time on a busy Thanksgiving afternoon took about 20 minutes (which is pretty impressive considering the full dining area and packed take out area). Even with take out, they still give you the clay pots and you just pay an extra $2 deposit fee. You can keep the clay pots or you can return them with your receipt another day to get your $2 back. Since this was my first time there and I know Clay pots are definitely more expensive elsewhere, I chose to keep mine. Having this rice clay pot meal reminded me of my childhood when my father used to cook it often. Thanks King's kitchen for the throwback! Not sure if they take credit cards, we paid in cash. No parking, good luck finding street parking on weekends and holidays.
