Chinese @ Brooklyn, Chinatown This was a first time eating at the Brooklyn Chinatown restaurant. We were walking along the 8th Ave and just walked in. It appears they have various locations. The pork/preserved egg congee was delicious with a huge portion. The soup base of dumpling noodle soup and duck noodle soup was light and not too salty but the noodles were overcooked. The Chinese broccoli was overcooked. The rice in pork rib clay pot was crispy and fluffy but the ribs had too much fat and not much of meat. The price was very reasonably and the food came out fast.

For the price, the portions you get and the quality of food is great! The spot is also always packed it seems which show how popular the food is with people in the area. There are a variety of items like noodles, fried rice, noodle soup, congee that you can get but they are most known for their clay pot rice which is super yummy.

The fish slices congee and clay pot are so good. They're currently running a promo where if you spend $20, you can get the braised tofu & fish fillet clay pot for only $3. Everything came out to under $30 after tip, which is honestly crazy for 2026. The crispy crab squid was a little too salty and fried dough stick is too hard for my taste. The service is nice, but a bit slow because they're always so busy. We were seated near the door, and it got super cold whenever it opened since there were a lot of people coming in and out.

I go to the one on East Broadway in Manhattan & it looks like they have opened more stores. The roast duck is one of my favs here & congee too m

Decent food and not too long of a wait during Saturday lunch time. Try one of the clay rice pots, but would skip on the BBQ duck / meats here. Worth visiting if you want a sit down place in Brooklyn Chinatown!

Great service and tasty food. The staff at King's Kitchen were so attentive, helpful and friendly during our visit! We ordered rice porridge (jook), beef chow fun and fried doughnut rice roll (ja leurng). The food was quite tasty and there are a lot of options on the menu to choose from. Prices were on the higher side, but the food was good and restaurant well attended even during the late afternoon. Not the absolute best Chinese I've ever had but still very good -- plus you just can't beat the friendly service!

Food: We ordered a Salted Fish and Pork Cake Clay Pot Rice as well as a Beef Chow Fun. The clay pot rice was delicious. The pork cake was flavorful with a good amount of salted fish flavor. The bottom of the rice was crusty. The Beef Chow Fun was average and nothing special. I would order it again, but there are definitely better Beef Chow Fun dishes elsewhere. Service: Service was average. They come to take your order and bring you your food. Ambiance: The restaurant is small, but they have a good number of tables for groups of 4 or less. Not the best place for large groups. Overall, I would recommend this place!

First, the cashiers were oddly aloof. I waited a couple of minutes in front of them, before I felt the need to say hello to them. I would be less annoyed if the place was busy but the cashiers weren't help anyone and were face planted into their phones. That should've been a red flag to get out The bigger problem was with the pork I brought (see picture). It was mostly inedible fat. You can see the thick layer between the brown skin and small amount of meat. For those problems, I will not step back in. There are better locations for staple Chinese meats one avenue down (8th Ave)

Absolutely revolting experience at King's Kitchen! I found a GREEN WORM squirming on a vegetable in my meal - a solid proof that they don't even BOTHER washing their produce! This is beyond gross; it's a health hazard and an outright disgrace to any restaurant claiming to care about quality. I'm nauseated just thinking about it and will NEVER step foot in this filthy place again. Do better or shut down!!!!!

First time here. Food was good but not hot enough. Maybe because it was a very cold day. Service was OK, friendly and attentive. We got there early so it wasn't too crowed.

This dine-in restaurant is very small, about 8-10 tables, but it is well organized and clean inside. The waiters were very prompt, attentive and friendly. We came for the clay pot rice and we ordered two, the eel clay pot rice and the salty chicken clay pot, both came out excellent. We also ordered the beef Chow fun as one of my sons loved it a lot. The beef was just right, not chewy at all. I liked the pork offal congee, the offal seemed to be cleaned and not smelly. My husband did not really like the offal, but he said the congee base was good. The hoi sin sauce and peanut butter sauce mixed rice roll was good. Overall it was a good dinning experience, reasonable priced and very convincing location. It is like the HK style cafe and lots of Cantonese / HK style dishes available on the menu.

It's a pretty populated restaurant and pretty loud. I ordered three meats to go. The food smells so good and the meats are so juicy and tender. It's not too salty and not too bland; perfect to my liking. The cashier and chef were very kind too. I will be coming back soon!

Thai restaurant appeared to be popular with the locals. We had duck and bbq pork sa sui. They were good. The wonton noodle soup was also good and legit. Services was ok but was as expected for a place as this. Ambiance can be intimidating for novice but the food would make up for it.

Everything came out hot, delicious, and well seasoned. The Dungeness crab was a standout, and it was refreshing to enjoy such a wide variety of seafood and traditional dishes. My wife was pleasantly surprised by the entire meal. The interior was nicely done and felt different from many other Chinese restaurants in Brooklyn. Service was attentive, and they seated us in a corner where we could enjoy our family conversation without constant interruption. The food came out very quickly, maybe a little too quickly, but we were fine with it. They were unfortunately out of a few fish and clam options, as well as several wines, but it did not take away from a great dinner. Highly recommended for a family-style Chinese seafood meal in Bay Ridge.

Definitely will come here more often and will rec my family to try this place out for our next family event.

As a lover of Dim Sum, I start my weekend morning by making the long commute just to get a taste of everything. The spot is constantly bustling with people moving in and out of the restaurant, the waiters running around, the carts strolling to each table, etc. These days, cart services have been decreasing, but it's nice to see that some spots have still kept them around. My rotation always includes the following-har gow, deep-fried noodlefish, shrimp cheong fun (rice noodle roll), zhaliang (fried dough rice noodle roll), chicken feet, and beef tripe-and now more recently, salt and pepper squid. I'm not even joking when I say this, but my mouth was salivating when they placed everything in front of us. Everything was fresh and just so full of flavor. I randomly get reminded of the taste and suddenly crave it again. We also have to thank the wonderful expeditors who would make sure we got everything we wanted. When the salt and pepper squid had run out of the carts, they made sure to request more for our table and got us a fresh, hot, and steaming plate of it. Everything at dimsum might seem very hectic and quick, but when you're sitting down with your family and friends, it can really feel calming. They also give you a choice of tea; we love getting chrysanthemum to wash down the grease from the fried food. There's no wonder people make this a weekly routine; it's just got everything you could need.

Pictured menu, thank you. Got some fairly standard Dim Sum, see pictures. Similar quality as the west coast. Abalone Sui Mai was the only different thing we tried from the west coast, not bad. Tea is $1.50 per person. Ambiance - A good size restaurant. Busy. Private rooms available. Of course, you can also rent out the entire restaurant for banquets. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 10pm. Service - Good. The cart team is fairly aggressive at suggestive selling. Price - $31 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2009.

The congee is still good, texture and flavor, but the whole experience a little sour now. My partner and I agree we'd rather spend our money at our usual spot instead. I get the usual service vibe for a local Chinese spot like this, but this time they unfairly charged me $25 for an appetizer that was literally just bits and ends. The service was rough, it felt like they were forcing pieces on us and couldn't care less. They didn't give us spoons for our congee, and they forgot our fried crueller. When I asked for it, they gave me attitude instead of just owning it. At this point, after enough tries here, I'm good.

There was a wait list, tons of reservations, and the whole place was hustling and bustling. The food smelled amazing, and the ambiance was lively and fun overall. We were excited to eat! We were walk-ins, so I appreciated that they were able to get us in. The hostess was running a very tight ship - very "no BS"/no nonsense ... and hey, I get it, it was crazy, but at times it erred a bit unnecessarily rude? It just left me feeling a bit off, but not the end of the world. Food-wise, we tried a lot of different things. The highlight was honestly the scallion pancakes. They were DELISH! Not too doughy, not too dry, and the vinegar dipping sauce was amazing (I know it's just the standard vinegar but dang it's so good). It was a classic really well executed. The steamed pork dumplings were also quite yummy. For our mains, we got the garlic baby bok choy, beef chow fun, and kung pao chicken. The beef chow fun looked amazing and we had heard really good things about it, but unfortunately it was a little dry and lacked flavor... just sort of bland? We ended up pouring some of the vinegar sauce over it, which helped, but I was a little disappointed because it looked so good. The baby bok choy was really loaded it up with garlic chunks and was also yummy and a good portion. It was juicy and had a great texture, but my only note was that it felt like it needed just a little more seasoning or salt? Overall, though, it was good. The kung pao chicken was INTENSE. I knew it'd be spicy, but truthfully it was my first time ever trying it and it was a tad difficult to eat without rice. The chicken thighs had a texture that felt a little gummy to me? I wished the chicken had been a bit more browned too. The peanuts and veggies rocked, but the sauce and chicken were huge misses for us. I typically would never send anything back, but my friend insisted as it was tough to enjoy. They did take our dish from the table... but then a manager brought it back and was a bit condescending towards us saying they didn't do that and everyone knows it's a spicy dish... which, I'm trying to be fair about because he didn't know it was my first time, but it just again felt unnecessarily rude. I hate wasting food, so we kept it and took it home rather than let it go to waste. I just thought the whole interaction was a little strange. Truly - I wasn't really looking to get something for free. We just didn't enjoy the dish and were trying to figure out what our options were and it basically felt like he just came over to make us feel small instead of problem solving together. Weird. I'm always one for second chances so I'm hoping to try it again, but I would highly recommend making a reservation to ensure a calmer experience.
