My go to Chinese take out!! They never mess my meal up always let me customize my food!!

Without a doubt the very best take out Chinese o have ever had, and I have eaten in a lot of them in different states! Everything is extremely fresh, prepared when you order it, piping hot when you pick it up and absolutely delicious. It's the only place to go as far as I'm concerned and I have tried others in this area. King walk is head and shoulders above all of them. Food was very good. Most people would order takeout as indoor seating is limited with no ambiance. Takeout was ready on time.

I ordered egg rolls (okay), veggie fried rice (okay except for the freezer-burned peas), wonton soup (decent- can't mess that up), egg foo yung (1/2" of oil in the container-VERY greasy), and chicken with snow peas, bok choy, and ginger (chicken has some kind of breading on it, bok choy was without the green part, snow peas were fine, but instead of ginger they added garlic). Disappointed. I looked at the receipt and it says "ginger". Not sure that I'll eat there again unless I only order soup and egg rolls. read more

I moved away about half a year ago now after living down the street from this place for a few years. I still think about this food. It was fantastic, and I took it for granted. I still have yet to find a new Chinese food place near me that even comes close to comparing. My wife feels the same way. If you're on the fence trying to decide where to get your Chinese food from, look no further. I highly recommend this establishment. Great food and good portions. The best Chinese food ( New York style) in town( World golf village /Saint Augustine Florida). They've been in business for over 10 years. They Made your food fresh per order. They deliver. This is one of those places that always has me contemplating the basis in which I submit reviews. Do I review based on my expectations of joints that are in a similar category or review purely on my experience without any regard as to the type of place it is. For example, I can't review a high class luxury experience at 5 star restaurant with the same scale as a waffle house. In any case, I must voice my pros and cons as I personally expect a restaurant at the bare minimum to be. The food is a 4...good as you'd expect many takeout Chinese restaurants to be without any hint of disappointment in flavor. The environment is small and warm. They have the door open with 4 ceiling fans on high in only what I can assume is an effort to reduce costs on air conditioning...in the state of Florida...in June! Not unbearable, but not pleasant. While I know it's primarily a takeout place, some people do eat inside and I'd imagine you'd want them comfortable as well. It seems clean enough and so I'll go onto the next point. The service today was 99% handled by the owners' younger children of around 12-14 and 8-10. I'll add that it is perfectly legal/legit for children to work under their parents at younger ages. The older child did a good job of placing my order, charging my card and delivering my food properly. However, the younger child delivered my drink and straw. I had a problem with him unwrapping the straw from the paper wrapping himself and handing it to. I can be a little touchy on germs sometimes, but I don't want that straw. Who's to say the adults are cleaner or dirtier than the children? I wouldn't want an adult to do that either. I went up to the front to grab another straw instead, regardless. Lastly, one of the tables was decorated with their children's schoolwork and electronics. Just not a good feel for me even though the food was good. It does make me wonder about any potential shortcuts that might be made in the cooking process, though. Maybe others don't mind these things, but they are the things that would stop me from returning. Obviously, some feel the need to rate at 5 stars but I can't see how unless it's the best takeout Chinese place ever. read more

Looked at a few reviews all three said how good, and I am thinking, aw come on its just take out. So yesterday, decided to try it, its very close by, I love good Chinese food, and I thought, I could try it out and if it was that bad there is another small take out place nearby. I popped in ordered lemon chicken, the combo wonton/egg drop soup and a spring roll. The smiling young who took my order told me 10 minutes, in less than that by far I was handed my bag full of food and hurried home. Absolutely delicious!! Probably the very best take out I have ever had! Very fresh vegies with lots of crunch. Chicken was better than I remembered. The combo soup (don't know of anyone who does that) was fantastic, got the fried wrappers for crackers, and the spring roll, hot crisp, full of deliciousness. Topped off with 3 fortune cookies. My husband and I always order take out from here on week nights. The staff is very efficient and pleasant on the phone and they always have our food ready in a timely manner. The house soup is very tasty and they happily include wontons in it when asked. The general tso's chicken combo is consistently scrumptious. There is no MSG in their dishes. Very good food and quick delivery. I have had the General Tso's Chicken with Pork Fried Rice, Hot and Sour Soup and Crab Rangoon. All were excellent and enough food for a couple of meals. I have also had the Fried Chicken Wings which were also excellent. And I have had the lunch special Boneless Spare Ribs with Pork Fried Rice. I mixed the rice with the sauce for the spare ribs. Best Chinese meal I have ever had. It was enough for two meals. It had to be almost a pound of spare ribs. We have also had the steamed dumplings. Also very good. read more

In town for a convention and this was the only place we could find open at 930 on a Thursday night. I got egg drop soup and cream cheese wonton both were good. Husband got hot and sour soup and steamed dumplings also good. Went back on the Friday night got mei fun shrimp more steamed dumplings was all good again. Egg roll was good, soup was okay, but the sesame chicken was almost all breading. Hard to find any chicken. I won't go there again.

New to the area, we wanted some Chinese food mid-evening. I found King Wok on-line and liked the reviews so thought I would try it I ordered the Mongolian Beef which comes with white or fried rice along with a small order of veggie lo mein. My wife wanted sesame chicken with fried rice. Through the short wait I noted that the phone seemed to ring quite a bit with orders coming in with regularity, even though it was well past traditional 'dinner hour.' Upon arriving home we plated the food (except the lo mein) and the first thing we both noted was the abundance of food, which was still very hot. . The Mongolian beef was flavorful but I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't as spicy as I am used to. The sesame chicken and rice were very tasty and the lo mein was full of veggies and piping hot. We will definitely be back to order out from King Wok! read more

I have lived in Saint Augustine for 3 years now. We eat out and order delivery for dinner a lot. My wife and I are retired now and considered to have a fine taste palate. We have ordered from most of the Chinese restaurants here and have been very dissatisfied with most all of them. We ordered one Friday night food from King Wok and well the rest is history. I would say that they are a true GEM. They have delivered no less that about 40 times now and I have only had one problem during this time as our food was left at the restaurant. Yes it is take out but the food is fresh and tasty. Never had issues with this location and the staff had always been very friendly.

For the price and the amount of food you get here, I feel like this is a decent deal. The environment is just so so. A little old and run down, but I think that's pretty typical of most Chinese restaurants like this. The owners are always really friendly to me! It's very convenient for me to go here because I work near by and there's not a ton of places in the area. read more

They are hit and miss on quality. I ordered a delivery of chicken fried rice the other day and it tasted like rubber chicken in sand. Other times they have been average to occasionally above average. Not my go to for Chinese. read more

This spot has solid quick Chinese food. We order the broccoli and garlic sauce and other vegetarian dishes. They're always good and fresh. I will say the fried shrimp on the appetizer section of the menu isn't fried shrimp in the traditional since and it's not for me.
