Always curious to try this restaurant. Apprehensive from some negative reviews but decided to try myself & either love it or never return. LOVED it!!! . Almost returned the next day!. Went on a weekday about 4:30p.m. Entered foyer of a super clean attractive (loved the chandelier!) restaurant. I was charged $30 & shown to my table in an expansive dining room surrounded by food, food, food. The selections stretched from 4 soups, a lot of seafood selections & any Chinese, American (including pizza), sashimi, sushi, salads, fruits, many many ice cream flavors, & desserts you can think of. Everything fresh & kept replenished. Never an empty container. Hot dishes hot. Serving area kept pristine. No messy drips or drops to look at. A multitude of options to view & a joy for your taste buds to love. I found the food fresh, well cooked, seasoned & tastey. Staff was continuously available, polite & efficient. Some diners may find the staff's personality as cold. I think they are well-trained & professional to keep this buffet running at this high standard on every level. For two adults with two soft drinks; plus tax and tips, total came out to $75 for a Friday night dinner. They have pretty good selection of options to choose from at each stations. My wife who is currently on three months vegetarian diet (due to religious purpose) did have a little bit of challenge to find that would be suitable for her to eat. For me, I love all their various type of shrimps. Our 22 months old daughter enjoyed miso soup, fruits and jello. My wife wants to come back again once she is done with her vegetarian diet. Parking is on their property. It was almost full, but we were able to secure one spot. They accept credit cards including Discover card. The only down side for us is, they serve Pepsi products. My wife and I prefer Diet Coke, so it would have been a better experience if they had Coca Cola products. See you again towards end of October! read more

My family and I ate at King buffet today in honor of our mother's death anniversary. Back in 2017 King buffet was one of the best buffets in LA. After 5 years later, and due to the pandemic, some things remained the same but some things declined. I have to admit that the teppanyaki was the tastiest I've had lately. The options aren't a lot but enough to get anyone full. They did have this extra large shrimp that was really good. Their sushi selections were decent. All in all, it's still could be the best buffet in LA. Now for the price! The weekend is $25.99 all day for adults. The kids are $2.50 times their age. My son is 10years old and a child but we still paid $25 for a child who ate only rice and a couple of chicken wings! I was very disappointed that a 10 year old was charged the same amount as an adult!!! Beware if you have kids, please keep this in mind. For us, it was not worth it. If there were only adults dining, that's fine though I still think it's over priced. The customer service was good. They were attentive and they cleared our table frequently. They brought refills when asked. Would I recommend? If you are eating with adults, yes. They are located in Los Angeles on Western blvd. They have their own parking lot. read more

I asked a friend to meet me here. I've been going through a grieving experience and she had been concerned about me. When she came in she didn't know she was supposed to do anything. She just came to the table and hugged me. We started talking. She asked the waiter for water. Soon after the cashier came to the table and shamed her about not following a process. She went to the cashier desk, paid $ for lunch. I've introduced this place to so many, but no more. The ASSUMPTION of criminality was to strong and completely unnecessary. Plus the waiter ASSUMED through the whole meal that my husband had paid for the meal because he put a $5bill on the table to indicate we would be tipping. I had paid for our meal and usually we both add to the tip as long as we are there based on the level of service. The waiter spent his energy fawning over my husband ASSUMING he was the one who would "make it rain". I shut my purse, ate my food, and focused on my friend who had sacrificed time just to comfort me. I've given this buffet multiple tries because my husband enjoys the food. We've been here multiple times. The service is 85%bad everytime. I'm done. Found another KING BUFFET, near LA Brea and Obama blvd. The dessert and bakery taste bad. Tonight was the first time I need to stop eating almost 8 types of desserts after one or two bites each. Period. It looks nice, but pretty bad in taste, texture, softness, etc.. It almost fails in all categories of being a nice dessert. I could not even chew the meat on the ribs they served. Food selection here was good, clean as well when it came to the plates and utensils. I wish I had taken a picture of the food I had but the orange chicken was surprisingly really crunchy and fresh. The sushi was ok but the fried rice and lo-mein was on point to compliment the chicken. The desert was also ok when it came to the pastries but the ice cream was also really good. I liked the lighting of the area also and like the fact that they had TVs on with the sports games playing so I can watch my Dodgers win. The superstar of this place was the BBQ area! Went here for a family get together. Now, I've been to a lot of buffets. I enjoy them, I know what to expect as far as food. Food selection here was decent but the environment within the restaurant itself: it was HOT. It takes a lot to get me hot and I mean... I was literally sweating. I definitely don't mind that restaurants can get warm. That's understandable but this was so particularly hot, I wondered if it was a safe place to eat cold foods. I paid attention to everything I ate there. Next, the smell. I went there on a random Tuesday evening and it had this really weird ammonia/urine smell near the hibachi grill. Someone in our party literally sprayed perfume to mask it. I went alone with family friends as a guest. As a person who takes my kids to buffets because they love them... I would never return here. They open at 11:30 and at 12, there is plenty of parking but the lunch rush for this place is closer to 1-1:30 and immediately the parking fills up. No matter if you are craving Chinese, Japanese, Korean, American or Mongolian style, they have it all. The seafood is a must!! The tiger shrimp were gigantic! Came here cause we were at Universal Studios and i yelped a ayce. We didnt wanna cook our food at like a kbbq, so opted for this place cause it was close. It was about 530p and not too packed. My grandmother went here with her sister-in-law and some mutual friends for the sister-in-laws birthday. My grandmother ate a few times here up until a couple days ago. She and a couple of other friends got food poisoning from the crab they had and some of the other seafood items in the restaurant! She said the crab felt really wierd in her mouth and tasted different like something was off. She got through a few until she realized there's something wrong with crab like it had gone bad. I called today to let them know the situation. The owner was VERY rude. She just kept saying "well no one got sick so there's nothing we can do about it since the food was fine." My grandmother almost went to the emergency because of how sick she got and all the owner keeps saying "we can't do anything about it, no one got sick." She didn't even apologize or anything. She literally sounded like she didn't even care and was just brushing me off. She scoffs every time I'm trying to explain what's going on. Literally horrible. We are NEVER coming here ever again, my grandmother and her friends are not going there anymore either as they have already told people how sick they gotten from the poorly handled food, I will also be telling my friends and family to stay FAR FAR FAR AWAY from here! read more

Well I asked her for proof several times but she can not and will not provide any proof. At this point I think she knows shes lying. If I really ate and ran and did not pay and I'm asking for proof. If I really did it she'd be more than happy to find the CCTV footage of me running out or the picture on the wall of me running out. They have all these other photos of customers running out. But the more I ask for proof, the more she IGNORES me. So at this point it's pretty obvious this woman knows she lied. I never ate there and did not pay. Shame on her for lying. We came here last year and the food was amazing! We decided to come back today after a long hike. Halfway through our meal my husband tells me to look down. There was a COCKROACH on our table next to my hand. I screamed and it spooked and tried to run off but I was able to get a picture. We went and told the lady at the front and she was very apologetic. She said she couldn't let us go for free and I had to at least pay half. Absurd! We should have just walked out. I was in shock and didn't want to cause a scene but maybe I should have! I'm just leaving king buffet after my inaugural visit with feelings that are hard to put into words. This establishment was immaculate in every way. I went with three other friends (one of which was skeptical about eating here) and everyone was quite pleased to say the least by the end of the meal. When you first walk into this place there is a claw grab game and the sweet smell of a cotton candy machine to your left. The hoestess then asks you how many people you have in your party and you are seated immediately. The main dining room is beautifully lit wi the blue neon and immaculate paintings. The austere grandeur of the main dining hall immediately sparks feelings of joy and graciousness. When you sit down, guess what? You don't have to deal with looking at a menu or thinking if you want to split something with the other patrons you came with...you simply get up, get a plate, and well....eat! My friend and I got there before another 2 friends and we're able to start eating right away. We both started with a bowl of the splendid hot and sour soup which was delectable. After preparing our palettes we dove in right away to some chickens, beefs, sushi, pizza, seafood. It's everything you can think of to eat that's delicious and in one place. I ended up electing to a couple large plates of the salt and pepper crab. The waitress even saw the way I was cracking the crab and taught me a new method so I wouldn't break my teeth (she didn't know this but I actually chipped my tooth in Las Vegas trying to gnaw on the innards of a stone crab claw at an establishment during a dudes trip). Anyway the new method worked out so well it was putting a couple napkins on the table and placing the crab there. Then using a spoon to hit it like a mallet and breaking the shell open revealing the sweet and amazing crab meat hidden inside like treasure. All the food was amazing and they even provide endless water which is great for a Sunday after an eventful weekend and the price is very fair. This will be a place I will be returning to many times in the future and hopefully will have the treat of introducing many new friends to it and getting to see the gleam in their eye as they enter King buffet and take the first bite of their food. read more

They only had 4-5 types of fruit available . They have a Mongolian grill! There was some Cajun spicy shrimp I didn't get to try cuz as soon as it was placed it would b gone in 3 seconds. This place is DANGEROUS! When I ate here today, March 21st, I was quickly seated. About 90% of the tables were occupied. Social distancing is NOT ENFORCED! Reminds me of how things were pre-COVID days! The staff does NOT tell people how to properly navigate the restaurant. They don't remind people to wear gloves and mask while fetching their food. This causes people to be unaware of the glove rules. People freely walk around without masks and touching everything without gloves on. Instead of enforcing the rules, all the staff just ignore what they see and move on. Not helping with preventing people from getting sick.
