Beware of the store Manager here is why ! I visited…read moreMerritt's Ace Hardware on Hacienda Blvd with my e-bike because there is no secure bicycle parking outside. Before bringing it in, I asked the cashier if it was okay since I was only going to be inside for a few minutes to purchase a few items. The cashier said it was fine. A few minutes later, the store manager, who I believe is named Evan, came through the store yelling, "Whose e-bike is that?" in front of other customers. Instead of speaking to me professionally, she immediately became confrontational. I calmly explained that I only needed a few minutes to finish my purchase, but she responded by insulting me and using profanity. I'm an adult, a paying customer, and a regular shopper at this location. There was no reason for the situation to be handled with shouting and disrespect. If there was a store policy, it could have been explained politely instead of creating a scene. I reported the incident to corporate, but because this location is independently franchised, they were unable to resolve the issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store while this manager is in charge. Customers deserve professionalism and respect, not public embarrassment over a situation that could have been handled with a simple conversation. Ty

I was first greeted by a women named Vicky who once I explained my issue to she asked me if she could have a different sales person call me back. Strange, possibly deflection but I agreed as possibly she may not have known the answer. So I called back to a different extension and she answered again. I asked ok so who could I speak with then. She exclaimed "geez you didn't even give me a minute," and put me on hold. Horrible customer service example one. She came back on and gave me an email to a women named Shirley and asked me to send her my order number date purchased and the item number. I went a few steps above and provided a picture of the issue as well as my invoice. No response from this Shirley person instead someone named Zora Hong from China intercepted the email and began the whole things all over. First asking for everything I already provided. In my first email I explained that I had already tried trouble shooting to see if it was something to be fixed. The next email from Zora 24 hours later was asking me to try trouble shooting from the guides provided online. I already had. The next email which was the next day asked if I really needed to be using it where it was loose and if I could cut further down. what?? No I want to use the product how it was intended. Now after pictures and asking if they will uphold there warranty a full 24 hours later they are wanting a video to send to their factory to confirm. The reason this is going on like this is because they have a 1 year warranty which I purchased on September 7 2023 it is August 19th 2024, so as you can see they are purposely dragging this on by responding to one email every 24 hours to try and go past the warranty date. My advice do not buy anything from this company as they are a complete joke. I will be contacting the BBB, attorney general, Amazon and anyone else I can. I have purchased multiple of these from them over the last 10 years but this one just did not last and all I wanted to do was get it warrantied like I should be able to. Horrible value horrible customer service and absolutely zero accountability for their customers who keep them in business.

I only call King Bolt with a "Save Me!" request. When I have a project that goes bad like snapped studs,crossthreaded nuts ,leaking fittings, need a metric adapter ,an obscure threaded part - these guys are lifesavers! Behind their sometimes gruff exterior these people are jewels. They even listen to your lame descriptons and reinterpret them into engineering language and find a part that works. They are not cheap - for that go to Home Depot (whose bins of fasteners are often messed up or empty). read more

It has most everything I need, the pricing is not that reasonable tho. I like their hours of operation when most bolt places are closed these guys squeeze in a couple extra hours of service. Unfortunately, one thing has never changed: the customer service. Whether the employees were younger years ago or are older now, the attitude has remained the same--rude, impatient, and they often make you feel like they assume you're there to steal. Instead of treating customers with respect, they make shopping feel uncomfortable. The only reason I still stop by is because they carry a few specialty tools that Home Depot doesn't. Unfortunately, those tools are usually overpriced, so it's hard to justify putting up with the poor treatment. After nearly three decades of occasional visits, it's disappointing to say that nothing has improved. At this point, I honestly doubt it ever will.

The bolts that came with the chair were just too short to connect to the pre-installed nuts on the legs of the chair. I originally went to Lowe's but they did not have what I needed. The employee suggested that I check with So Cal Bolt & Supply, which was right down the street from Lowe's. I came in, showed the employee the original bolt, and described what I needed. He came back a few minutes later with exactly the bolts that I needed. There is currently a $10 minimum which is totally understandable. If you are looking for any type of screw or bolt, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. I would not hesitate to come again.

I needed the paint in a spray can, since it's difficult to locate someone who does such a thing I was excited to find this shop. Upon entry, I was greeted by a kind, welcoming, and passionate individual who turned out to be the owner. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate and make sure I was happy with the paint and service. During my first visit the service was spectacular. During the spray, I had some issues with the can spitting out the tip. Understanding that due to the hardner the tip was clogging up, however, once cleaning the tip didn't resolve the issue and the second can simply be stopped spraying I contacted the shop. Now, this is where my whole experience was changed to a negative one. The man answering the phone and working in the shop had absolutely 0 customer service, willingness to help, or fix the issue. Instead, he began to lecture me, argue, and deny any resolution. After realizing that this was a pointless conversation, resulting in an argument and seeing no resolution from his end. I stopped and said ok fine ill pay for the new cans to be mixed, accepting that I was a complete idiot who for the first time ever picked up a can of spray paint. Today, the final straw and reason for this negative review. The 3 new cans I picked up and spent $100 on, not including the 100$ I spend the first visit we're mixed completely different from the original. Yes, there was a sticker placed on the can by the owner to make it all look professional we're ignored. The new cans just had the paint code "416" written in sharpie. The difference in the mixture is a major one. Per the second visit where I was made to look like an idiot, I followed his direction and immediately stopped using the spray. I went to the shop today hoping that maybe today I will have a better experience. Boy was I wrong! He took absolutely no accountability, shouting it's the same paint code. I said sure but mixed differently. He argued and shouted not even attempting to simply re-do the cans. There's nothing I can do and there is nothing wrong with the cans. The pictures I showed him were ignored to well this doesn't prove anything. Really? When you can clearly see the depth, flake, and shine in the paint mix by the owner and the dull purple looking no-flake mix by you. This doesn't prove anything he argues, I'm not gonna fix anything. I asked him is this how you really tread customers? You made a mistake fine all I ask is for you to remake it. Asking for the owner or when will he be in resulted in keep checking like I'm just supposed to put all my plans aside and wait. When did I ask him if a negative review really worth proving his point? He replied I don't care! When told that I can call the bank and file a chargeback, again all I got was so what do what you want. I'm not looking to bash any business especially one that I know deep inside runs completely different by the owner. I don't want to file a chargeback or bring any negativity to the owner who worked hard to achieve a great reputation. I would love to continue doing business here being that's it's difficult to find a shop who does provide this service. I'm willing to change this review to a positive one. All I want is for the mix to be done correctly as it was the first time. There is absolutely no reason or excuse to treat customers this way. A satisfied customer will bring his business back to you instead of a negative review and potentially losing future customers. I'm truly hoping that my first impression was not wrong!
