King Bolt was recommended to me by a friend. He uses them for any and all of his bolt/fastener needs. I headed over there on a Saturday morning (only open until 1pm). Walked inside and took a ticket. Waited for my number to be called. Once it was my turn, I explained what I needed and the fact that I need a certain length hex bolt but would rather not have one so short. The ones I had were a tiny bit too long so I was just trying to get under the limit. Joe was a big help to me and so was the other young man that was working there. They are very knowledgeable and even make suggestions to try and solve the issue. I appreciated Joe's help. My friend who is a regular customer deals with him a lot, so I knew to go to him to find the set of 16 bolts that I was looking for. Home Depot did not have what I needed nor did they have enough to choose from in the other lengths, in case I decided to go that route. Street parking out front. King Bolt gets a lot of customers, leave space for other cars. Bring cash. There is a fee when paying by card. Take a number when you walk in. Be patient, they will get to you... Just Wrong Went to KB for some fasteners on a Saturday. Young lady helped me with no issues. I then needed a toggle switch. Instead of going back and forth she offered for me to come behind the counter and select what I needed. I did and went back around the counter. I looked closely at the diagram and had selected the wrong switch. With the young lady 5 feet away I went around the counter and started looking for the right switch. A minute later a slender boy asks the lady, "what's he doing?" The lady tells him, "it's ok, I let him look for a switch." The kid then says, "oh, I was about to get my gun." I look at him and say, "all that for some bolts bro?" I make my selection, pay, and leave. Not the first time I've encountered bad service, but definitely the last time. read more

Went in to purchase a bolt , washer and nut to replace the ones on my track bar for my 2017 jeep wrangler because the oem ones were too small and had some play in the brackets and sleeves . I asked for the next size up from a 14 mm so it would fit tight ( found out later it should have been a 9/16 bolt ) . I took in the track bar so they could measure for fit , they sold me a 16 mm bolt and told me to drill it out to Make it fit . Got home and realized it would weaken the track bar if I drilled it , so took it back , but they wouldn't refund or replace it. So I just lost $ 21 dollars on 2 bolts I can't use. This place sucks at customer service . They never said anything about no returns accepted and I have been there several times before .first time returning some thing thou .mad as hell , so I won't be going back there ever . if I could give zero stars I would! Went in today to bye 90.00 worth of bolts and nuts and the rude kid helping me was to much. Not a Customer in the place and now I know why. My company has been buying from here for years and that ends today. I couldn't remember if the bolt was 5/16 or 3/8 and asked if I bought the wrong size could I exchange for the right size and the response was no refunds or exchanges on anything. I was ok with that but then he says we don't have boxes of 100 he wound need to count each one out individually ( ridiculous) a place that specializes doesn't carry boxes what a joke. then I ask what kind of payment do you take he says anything so I say is there a fee for the card he says yes 3.00 I say must be hard to stay in business.... he says if you don't like it don't buy your shit here.. I say are you the owner he says no I'm the manager but if you want to call the owner he will tell you the same . I put my 100.00 back in my pocket and said your letting your owner lose a 100.00 dollar sale his response so what. If this is your manager you might want to rethink this. so I drive straight up to ace hardware in glendora go to the bolt department and guess what they have the bolts and nuts in boxes of 100 and I asked what if they need to be returned or exchanged? no problem bring them back.. and guess what 44.00 total and King bolt with horrible service 88.00 plus tax. His energy was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in til we left.
