if I could give zero stars I would! Went in today to bye 90.00 worth of bolts and nuts and the rude kid helping me was to much. Not a Customer in the place and now I know why. My company has been buying from here for years and that ends today. I couldn't remember if the bolt was 5/16 or 3/8 and asked if I bought the wrong size could I exchange for the right size and the response was no refunds or exchanges on anything. I was ok with that but then he says we don't have boxes of 100 he wound need to count each one out individually ( ridiculous) a place that specializes doesn't carry boxes what a joke. then I ask what kind of payment do you take he says anything so I say is there a fee for the card he says yes 3.00 I say must be hard to stay in business.... he says if you don't like it don't buy your shit here.. I say are you the owner he says no I'm the manager but if you want to call the owner he will tell you the same . I put my 100.00 back in my pocket and said your letting your owner lose a 100.00 dollar sale his response so what. If this is your manager you might want to rethink this. so I drive straight up to ace hardware in glendora go to the bolt department and guess what they have the bolts and nuts in boxes of 100 and I asked what if they need to be returned or exchanged? no problem bring them back.. and guess what 44.00 total and King bolt with horrible service 88.00 plus tax. I guess if you are charging double the price with zero service and no help if you buy the wrong thing you can afford to run customers off... 44.00 vs 88.00 plus tax what a joke this place is i went back to work and told the guys that do the buying the story they will never go back again. haha whos the loser in this situation unfortunately the owner and this story will be told to everyone I can tell.. This is store is oddly amazing to me, I am so happy that some kid from Home Depot pointed me in their directions. I needed something like 1,100 bolts of one particular style which I couldn't find in store anywhere, and then a large amount of mixed nuts, bolts, washer, etc. I called King Bolt and was transferred over to Jeremy who was so helpful that I made the trip over to see if he could assist with my epic quest. I should mention, the bolts I was replacing were so rusted you could hardly make out what it was, I walked in Jeremy was able to evaluate and assist immediately. He spent the next hourish pulling everything I needed, neatly packaging everything and helping to fulfill my order(while still helping out other customers when they needed his expertise). I honestly can't say enough good things about Jeremy, his customer service and the store altogether. If you need bolts/nuts or other randomness for your next project, you should definitely go check them out. I've rebuilt my guitars and fixed easy car electrical using items that are sold here at King Bolt. I've yet to build a robot but I know it'll eat wire and screws from here haha the movie Chappie has a cool robot :) While prices are cheap it is better to buy with cash or you'll get charged a debit/credit fee. I found out I couldn't use it in my application and attempted to return it the same day, completely unused. No. No help at all, not even store credit. One of my favorite places to need to go to! I restore BMW cruisers and find the need to go here often. They have had so many of the impossible to find bolts that I find myself needing. The prices are a fraction of the cost at the dealers and the quality is great. I hope they stay in business forever. So many of the small specialty businesses that have provided the niche market specialty items have been pushed out of existence by the big box stores. This place was recommended to my husband by a guy at the Honda dealer. He called to see about a replacement bolt for the alternator. Gave them all the info they needed as far as make model etc. They said they had two different ones in stock so my husband placed them on hold. Sad to say I drove over to pick them up and once I brought them they where not what my husband had asked for. The bolts that we should of received are 2 1/2" long the ones they gave me are 6" long. I drove back over and all they said was to bad no refunds no exchanges. WTH...you sold me the wrong item and now I get to eat the cost. A friend brought me here ensuring that they will have the bolt I was looking for and little did I know, they were able to help me. I walked in thinking it was going to be a bust, but they asked me what piece I needed, I brought a sample piece for them to see and they immediately knew what the bolt was made for, and where to look for it. Although they did not carry the exact copy of my bolt (for a flip scooter), they were really crafty on the spot and were able to create the exact same bolt for me out of other parts, which really amazed me at how clever and quick they were to it. These guys really know their stuff about bolts. Pricing was very inexpensive, total cost for a custom made bolt was 2 dollars! The bolt was made of three plastic washers, one main thread, one body of the bolt, and the plastic cap. All for 2 bucks. There is a no return policy, but you won't need to return anything anyway. I have been going to King Bolt since I was a kid and my dad needed specialty hardware. I've always been able to walk away with a solution, even if I wasn't able to duplicate the hardware that I was trying to replace. Keep an open mind, people. My most recent visit was to try to get the rest of the screws I needed for my Pottery Barn crib from Craigslist. I found the rep who helped me, I believe his name is Aaron, to be patient and dedicated to getting me what I needed for my project .
