This is absolutely insane to have to do all this over pest control. Also, this is not a well known company in Houston. I don't believe they have 10,000+ reviews here in Houston alone. I accepted and went ahead and hired them. The sales representatives assured me that I'd have a first service done and a technician would return in 30 days to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment before starting the quarterly services. Today, the 30-day return, they wanted to charge me for a full quarterly visit. I called customer service, who responded in a rather rude manner, insisting that I had signed the contract and sounded like I was "stupid" for not reading it. If they couldn't handle a simple dispute, I realized that this company wasn't worth my business. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My call was forwarded to a "manager," who asked why I wanted to cancel and reiterated the same argument about not reading the contract, completely ignoring the sales representative's promise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't know you, but if you're looking for a pest control company, it's important to consider all aspects, not just the price. I felt scammed, disrespected as a customer, and lied to. Their lack of integrity and accountability is evident in my recent experience. They're now charging me $200 for early cancellation and breach of contract. A good company knows how to handle difficult situations professionally. If you don't want to deal with a company that can't manage crises effectively, you should look for another pest control provider. This is a simple way to avoid future disappointments. Jessica and Jordan (trainee) showed up on time, were friendly and professional and completed the quarterly exterior work thoroughly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They stopped by when they arrived to introduce themselves and ask if I needed more than the outside done, and stopped by again when they finished to explain what they did and recommended time frame before letting my dogs back outside...which was appreciated![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall I have been very pleased with the work Kindred has performed on our property. Upon arrival Davion informed me of all that he was going to perform during the visit and asked me if I had any questions. Upon completion he informed me of all he had done. This is a scam. Please take your business somewhere else, I wanted to cancel my account due to me selling my home and moving out of the state. The gentleman on the phone told me it would cost $250+ to cancel. This was never brought to my attention during the sales pitch about a cancellation/reimbursement fee. I then ask, if I can be on a cancellation list or do not bill list once service is complete" he said no the cycle will start again even if there's a new home owner, I would be paying for their treatments. The service was scheduled after 5 PM, but when they arrived, they refused to complete the work due to lack of sunlight and tried to force me to reschedule for another day, requiring me to take additional time out of my schedule. I paid 50% for the portion of the service they actually completed and did not pay for the work they failed to do. Despite this, they fraudulently attempted to charge me for future services that were never completed. Very unprofessional and disrespectful experience. The broke their contract with me. They came to my door, it was a Ukrainian ex Mormon and so I felt sorry for him. I gave him business. They did the treatment and then came back and without my knowledge or approval did another service. They charged me, but since I didn't accept the later treatment I didn't think I should pay. They would hear it, and they sent a 140 dollar bill to collections. They forced an unwanted pest treatment on me that didn't end up helping later on. Found a ton of tree roaches around the house. Insane, unprofessional, extortionist behavior and I did it to be kind, not that I needed it. Absolutely horrible and I hope they go out of business with gross tactics like this. Big-time liars. Four months into the contract, they said they made a mistake in the price. I need to pay $150 more plus tax, or else pay a $229 cancellation fee. I told them to take a hike. I didn't cancel the contract. THEY cancelled the contract by demanding more up-front money, 4 months after the agreement started. Fraudulent misrepresentation by sales people for a service that didn't work. The service didn't work. I was told they would come back at no charge if it didn't. I had them back. I was charged and the service didn't work. When I asked to part ways on good terms with the company I was sent to a retention specialist. She told me she "hears the same complaint all the time" and that they would not part amicably. A refund for a product or service that didn't work is standard. I didn't ask for a refund just to part ways. They were not willing to do that. If you get past all the bots and farmed reviews you'll find many similar experiences. read more
