Went here to celebrate my dad's big 70th birthday and it was perfect. We got there right when it opened so we got the big table and all of our dishes were really good. Service was great and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I'm glad we went here because it wasn't too busy and it was nice and relaxing.

We had a great meal with our family at Kin Khao! We started with the chicken manow which is a special dish only available here. The fried chicken patty was savory and paired well with the crispy Chinese broccoli and sweet and sour of the tomato and lime. What a bite! The pad see ew, shrimp fried rice and spicy beef salad were all delicious too! We loved mango sticky rice, hibiscus iced tea and Thai coffee as well. They have free parking in the plaza and free hibiscus tea or Thai tea with lunch!

First time visiting and we had a wonderful experience. The place was clean and spacious with friendly service. The food came out quickly and they had lots of gluten free options. We enjoyed everything we ordered: Thai Herbal Sausage, Chicken Wings, Boat Noodle, Crying Tiger Steak, Green Chicken Curry, Mango Sticky Rice and hibiscus tea. Everything was so tasty and flavorful, food was fresh and beautifully presented. This is our new favorite Thai restaurant in the area! We will definitely return to try more dishes on the menu.

Based on the ratings, I was so excited to try this Thai restaurant since it was close to our hotel. We ordered for takeout after a long day out. I called it in and they said 10-15 minutes. Cool! Since we didn't dine in, I can't say much about the ambiance of the restaurant. Anyway, after eating the rich, authentic flavors at the Thai temple, the good here was disappointing. We got the: Kai ga pow gai: 3/5 it was decent, but could've used some spice. We got medium spicy and there were no peppers. Boat noodles: 1/5 the worst rendition I've had. Noodles were too thin, no flavors in the broth, and beef was tough. Also could've used spice. Fried chicken with white rice: 2/5 Very dry, could've used a dipping sauce. Overall, this restaurant did not hit the spot. It could be the area or catered to the American palate. For rich, authentic flavors, Thai Town or the temple would be the recommendation.

First time dining here and came to try their DineLa lunch menu ($25). It comes with a drink, an app, and an entree. I decided to have their Thai Tea, Veggie Spring Rolls, and Khao Ga-Pow Gai. The thai tea was standard and the portion of the Ga-Pow was definitely more than enough for lunch (for me). Service was quick and the restaurant had the AC on for sure. I would love to be back again to try out the rest of their menu!

Drunken noodles with beef

Went to Monrovia to check out Kin Khao after passing by it many times as I drive down Huntington. There are not too many places that serve khao soi in the SGV so i knew I needed to visit sooner or later. They offer a free tea during lunch with your purchase and you have the option of thai tea or hibiscus iced tea. I ordered the khao soi with chicken and the drunken noodles with beef. The khao soi was rich and creamy from the curry. The noodles could have been more firm but it was still good. The chicken was juicy and meaty. The drunken noodles with beef had lots of basil and garlic inside. It was full of flavor and the noodles were slightly chewy. We ended the meal with a mango with sticky rice. The mangos were sweet and the sticky rice was warm and soft. Perfect way to end a yummy lunch. It was about $20 a person dining here which was not too bad.

first timer! and a big fan of thaiiiii so... really glad kin khao is close by! Food: -pad thai: YUM. it seeemed like they add more veggies and i am here for that!! chewy noodles (in the expected good way) and good chicken -pad see ew: GOOD! Solid pad see ew, the noodles were a fave (for my partner esp and he does nooot play when it comes to noodles) and the beef was more tender than usual ones! wish there was a little more of the veggies, but the pad thai made up for that Service: -it was a pick up order but the staff was so kind and friendly and soo fast!! Ambience: -solid thai restaurant vibes! OVERALL: -WILL be back : )

I'll tell you what went well Yelp haha Fantastic Food! And Super Service! Appetizers were appetizing! Sausage and Tofu were tasty and fresh! Chicken, Fried Rice, Omelette courses were deelish! Mango Sticky Rice is stuck in my taste buds as theee best ever as the kind owner Jane informed us that she made it with Pandan (us Filipinos love Pandan too) As General McArthur told the Filipinos and the Terminator said: "I'll be back!"

First time here. Party of 2. Herbal Sausage appetizer - I was not a fan of the herbal flavor. Pork Shank over rice - The pork was cooked to perfection and everything in the bowl was delicious! Minced Pork over rice - The pork was only okay; nothing special with this dish. Overall, it was a nice restaurant with good service. The food was a little on the expensive side for what you get. Nothing really wowed me.

Been wanting to try this Thai restaurant for a while and finally made it here for lunch. We ordered pad see ew and boat noodle soup. Pad see ew is my husband's favorite dish and it's how he judges a Thai restaurant. It came out quickly and we like there's a sprinkle of pepper salt on the dish. However, there is a sour, tangy flavor in the pad see ew that we don't enjoy. The boat noodle soup tasted very heavy in soy sauce but lack depth in flavor. So it's mostly just saltiness. There is also a sprinkle of pepper salt on the noodle soup as well. Overall we found the dishes a bit underwhelming. The service was friendly. The staff were nice and they smiled and said thank you as we walk out of the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and pleasant.

in khao thai eatery: we ordered the tom yum soup, larb gai, and mango sticky rice. everything was delicious! the tom yum soup is huge! definitely can split between two ppl. more on the sour side w mild spice which i loved- had chicken meat balls, shrimp, mixed veggies, and noods. the larb gai is like a warm ground chicken salad. lightly sour w spicess but not spicy. we got it no spicy but kinda wish we got mild spicy! the mango sticky rice was so good!! perfectly ripe sweet mangos w the coconut sweet sticky rice service was quick and staff were all super friendly. ambiance was more casual .

What soy sauce do they use? I'm celiac, and if they're using Golden Mountain Soya Bean Sauce, which is a true Thai sauce, I'm good. If they use kikkoman, which is Japanese, I go elsewhere.

Hi! We currently use Golden Mountain and Healthy Boy brands at the restaurant and NO MSG ever! We do not use/have Kikkoman brand Soy sauce.…

We were heading up to an event in Pasadena and decided to give President Thai a try after seeing…read morethe positive reviews. From the street, the curb appeal doesn't exactly grab your attention since the restaurant sits sideways to the road. But once you pull in and walk inside, it's a pleasant surprise! Nice atmosphere, spacious dining room, and a welcoming feel. We arrived early and were greeted by a very friendly woman who made us feel right at home. She was gracious, attentive, and never made us feel rushed. We started with the stuffed chicken wings appetizer, which came with two pieces. They had a nice crispiness and were pretty good, although I would have liked a little more punch in the seasoning. I tend to enjoy Thai food with some bold spice, and these were a bit on the mild side compared to others I've had. My son and I shared the President's BBQ Beef, which was excellent! Very tender, flavorful, and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. We also ordered the President's Pineapple Fried Rice, another winner. Great flavor, a nice combination of ingredients, and shrimp mixed in to round it out. My wife ordered a flat noodle dish with chicken and broccoli, which I believe was Pad See Ew. She enjoyed it as well. We beat the dinner crowd, which was nice, but as the restaurant filled up, service became a little harder to come by. We had to wave someone down a few times just to get our check. Nothing terrible, but it did take a little shine off an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, President Thai earns a solid four stars from me. It didn't blow me away or knock my favorite Thai restaurants off their pedestal, but the food was very good, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was genuinely friendly. If you're traveling along rhe freeway and want a good Thai meal before dealing with the craziness of downtown Pasadena, this is a worthwhile stop. Good food, pleasant surroundings, and a satisfying experience. Sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for!
