After two visits to Kin Dee, I am officially a HUGE fan. The service is fantastic (Sunny - you are amazing!), the aesthetic is unique and chic, and the food is delicious. I'm celiac and they have so many GF options that I had a hard time choosing what to eat!! While I didn't care for the "Mini Salad Wraps", I definitely recommend the "Thai Flower Dumplings" and "Chicken Satay". My friend, who can eat anything, loved the "Grilled Pork Belly Skewers" and "Money Bags". I can't tell you how happy I was to eat wings again - the "Kin Dee Chicken Wings" were cooked to perfection and came with a tasty dipping sauce. For the main dish, I love the "Thai Omelet with Crab Meat" as it reminds me of egg foo young, but even better. We had the "Mango Sticky Rice" for dessert. I think I may get 2 orders of that next time as my meal - the combination of flavors, textures, and temperatures is an absolute treat! The only room for improvement was in one area - the volume of the music. The first time I visited was a Friday evening and they had a great DJ playing, but the volume was just too loud. We practically had to yell to hold a conversation. The goal may have been to create a lively mood, but it was a bit too much - unless you're gonna open up a dance floor for us! read more

Love love love this place! Great atmosphere and some of the best Thai food in Houston. Everything from the apps to the drinks are delicious!

This place was amazing! We had two appetizers and forgive me for forgetting the correct names but I had the vegetarian flower dumplings and the rest of my family shared the all in one which had different types of meat and they said those were fantastic and the flower dumplings were incredible. Then we had the pad Thai (one with tofu and the other with shrimp) and the dumpling soup. I always had the Melonic to drink and it was sooooo good. 10/10. The service was also fantastic. Can't wait to go back! read more

Pretty good Viet/Thai food. Hip, exciting for the younger set. Great bar with lots of exotic drinks. Some would consider it too crowded and loud. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant, BUT please remove those tall cocktail glasses as soon as possible. I eat here almost weekly and there was absolutely no need for any changes. This change is a fail... read more

Came here again for dinner last night and did not have the same experience as when it first opened unfortunately. The drinks took about 20 minutes to get to our table. The second round of drinks we did not even receive until we were almost done with our main entrees. The servers seemed very overwhelmed and chaotic. The food was still good, but the appetizers did not come out hot. Not sure my family and I will be returning back. read more

Lovely Thai restaurant. Wrapped shrimp appetizer (6 shrimp in rice paper-$12) was perfectly crispy. Panang curry with shrimp has just the right amount of spice. Sunrise cocktail was so good! Don't forget the sticky rice with mango for dessert. The owner came by and she was super friendly. It was a bit pricey fir lunch $100 but my husband had 3 beers and I had 2 cocktails. Covid protocols in place. Live music on the patio on certain days. You will not be disappointed with the food. read more

Was here for the hyped purple flower dumpling. Back to report was not my cup of tea. I came for the visual and I was not disappointed, from food to platting to the silverware it was very very aesthetically pleasing. The food was a different story thought. Flower dumpling: took me for a surprise Bc I did not expect a sweet filling. I believe there's some sort of meat, but I was only able to get the generous peanut texture and sweet taste of the dumpling. Not my cup of tea. Skewer sampling plate: quite pricey for an appetizer, I think it was ~$23. But you do get a lot. It comes with chicken skewers and meat ball skewers. Some where hit and miss depending on the marinate. Then where were these ''money bag', which basically is dumpling deep fried; it was my fav, how can anything deep fired taste bad. Lastly there were these small open dumpling filled with meat and veggies, eat these first, Bc they get soggy and the dumpling shell will fall apart. Northern style curry: main dish, salty. My friend and I took one sip of the curry and immediate reaction was.. salty. Over all it's curry. And crunchy noodle topping was fun to eat. Pandan mango coconut sticky rice: This was the highlight of our meal. Pandan sticky rice with a coconut undertone, BOMB. Might come back just for dessert. Overall it was a very aesthetically pleasing experience, although the food was over hyped, it was worth checking out at least once. But coming back again... small maybe read more

Fabulous food great service!! Highly recommend. Must have the pork belly and flower dumplings.

DELICIOUS! We had the Golden Basket appetizer, chicken pad Thai and Dumpling Soup. Both the pad Thai and dumpling soup were incredible! The Golden basket was very good and tasty, just wish it came out a bit hotter (temperature-wise). I noticed they were advertising a lunch special for $13.95 (not on Yelp menu, so call to ask abt it)which offered good options. The dumplings in the dumpling soup (pork) are by FAR the absolute best I've had. I find myself craving that soup several times a week! Update - we've since had the Drunken Noodles as well as the Pad SeeEw. Both were great- Pad see ew is now my fav dish from this place, and even beats the pad Thai! read more

Greatest service! Greatest drink! Just a great time and great place. You have to order the money purses and mai tai. We love Sunny!

Great food but overpriced. But that is the price we get for living in the heights. This new shopping center looks great and this place definitely gives off the right vibe. We got the flower dumplings, mango sticky rice and Khao Soi (Northern Style Curry). All are delicious and I would highly recommend. All are overpriced and had small portions! I might not come back because of this but I would suggest giving this place a try for yourself!! read more

So delicious. Went for lunch on a Monday. Food was excellent and drinks were amazing. Can't wait to go for ladies night on Wednesday. Highly recommend. Such a fun classy place. Anyone complaining about their 90 people group being sat, well it's more of a fun place. Small select seating and upscale. I personally loved it. read more

Okay all BS aside this place is Bomb. I had the chicken Pad Thai and let me tell you it was delicious. I was impressed on how the there was enough protein in the meal and not all noodles the Pad Thai comes wraps in a battered egg. The mango Sticky Rice desert was also so delicious! read more

As beautiful as this place was, their food was slightly lacking and their service as well. The gentleman taking care of us was very lost. We ordered from him apps and he came back to ask what we had ordered again. Then same again for entrees. Then it was impossible to grab his attention when we needed an extra fork or something small. Even when we did ask, it seemed to me like our table wasn't priority as he was conversing with other servers and guests. Service was bad. Fortunately, the stars are not just for their service. Another point off would be the drinks and food itself. We ordered the coconut cocktail and that was way too strong. Hard for me to shut up and drink when I feel like this tasted like a shot with no coconut juice. I asked for more juice or sweetened and he wanted to take the coconut to the bar to fix it. I said yes, but now I'm thinking, why would he do this if this corona this is big news? Why wouldn't he just give me my juice and call it a night? Cute for presentation but awful if you want to enjoy a cocktail for the night. Thai tea was okay. We ordered the appetizer sampler. The skewers were not so great. Many chewy, many cold, the only thing I enjoyed on here was the money bags. The boat noodle was very cute. I loved the dish it was in. Salty salty salty and lacking a rich broth. The curry was good and spicy. Something that was better amongst the rest. The acidity to creaminess was good for me. The dumplings were quite gorgeous, but the exterior texture was rubber. Literally. Tasted like they steamed this awhile back and gave us an old one. We couldn't even swallow these!! Pandan toast tasted like something my little cousin can make at home. Nothing spectacular about this. Mango sticky rice was okay. I felt like our mango was sour. Overall, I can say they earned 2 stars for cleanliness and the hostess being very hospitable. read more

Presentation is 100%. The flower dumplings were so pretty, i almost didn't want to eat them lol. As for flavor, It was too peanut buttery for me. I was imagining something more savory, like a typical dumpling. Good to try once, would not come back as i feel there are better Thai restaurants in Houston. read more

Great food, i hate to say an upscale/bougee version of thai food but definitely a cleaner and fresher taste compared to the local thai restaurant in the bellaire or richmond area of Houston Maybe a better comparison would be like a kirans indian to the all you can eat indian buffets or the uchi compared to pretty much everywhere else A bit americanized but has the essence of "thai" at heart. Not blistering spicy like some places that your taste buds are dead for the next couple of hour but rather accents the fresh and authentic flavors of what thai food represents. Almost forgot, their cocktails are amazing...thats all lol read more

Was craving Thai and remember wanting to try this place. Ordered drunken noodles with chicken online for curbside. Website is user friendly. It took me a few phone calls to get through to someone to let them know I'd arrived out in the parking lot but a manager came out wii Ohhh my food and apologized. The food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to visit and dine in. read more

Place is super cute inside while I waited for our pick up order. It did take a little longer than expected but they did have live music so that was nice. We ordered the chicken pad Thai, the egg wrapped around was very strange, but I just broke it up into my dish. I hoped there was a little more flavor. Also very pricey. read more

Kin Dee is my go to for some good Thai food in the heights. Although I do think the prices are a bit high a lot of the portions are shareable. Their drinks are one of my favorite things to have here!!! Their passion fruit cocktail as well as the Tom Yum cocktails are so delicious! And they are NOT just sugar and water, you can taste quality alcohol :) another dish I always get is the papaya salad as it is very tasty and spicy! They do ask you for the level of spice for those who aren't into spicy foods but it's sooo good! they also have artists playing live so it's such a cute spot for dining out and listening to some good music read more

Food was amazing and comes out super fast. Service was great. The interior is so nicely decorated, this is a super cute date night place.

I do not recommend this place. We ordered pick up, got home and we received half our order. Called them, no refund option and excuse was bartender did not scroll down to see whole order. we only ordered 4 items.... Even with that, the food was average at best and WAY overpriced. Green curry was ok, chicken was obviously prepared separate and then added to sauce. It was very bland so you could tell it was just added to the sauce when ya ordered. The papaya salad was ok but texture was to hard. Papaya was defin not ripe and it was such a small serving, it was about 5 bites between the two of us. Can't comment on the pad tai or money bags since we did not get them. read more

I thought Kin Dee was pretty good. For thai food in the Heights I was surprised but be warned, this place is very cute and aesthetically pleasing, but it's not the most amazing Thai food in Houston. We had a few slip ups on our visit, long wait times, forgetting a drink, and cold food to name a few- but during Covid-19 I'm willing to be more forgiving. If you do visit Kin Dee I would not recommend the butterfly pea tea, they do not add enough lemon and it tastes like water. Additionally, I would recommend the flower dumplings and the pad thai! If you are lookinf for a place that is more about looks/presentation this is the place! I would definitely give Kin Dee another try in a few months after the wrinkles are smoothed out. read more

Amazing food. Great service. Unique and upscale atmosphere. Perfect for an intimate date night.

Dined at KinDee with friends. The food and drinks were fabulous and was served at the table in quick time. They ensured our vegetarian dishes were done per request.
