We ordered hot and spicy rice cakes (tteogbokki) with ramen, chicken katsu, and LA galbi. The food was good, and they kept refilling your band chan, which also good and had a lot of types. My favorite was tteogbokki, and I added $2 for ramen, highly recommended! For me it's not spicy at all but flavorful and the portion was generous. The batter of chicken katsu was too thick though, you can actually see from the picture I took. The galbi was kinda burned, there were lots of burned pieces, which was a little shame. Overall, I still think it's a good place to go if you're carving some Korean food in North Phoenix.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon at this mom + pop shop. Cute hand painted pictures of food offerings on the wall, with the dining area split between bbq grills and normal tables. Got the jokbal (pork trotters) and pajeon (scallion + seafood pancake). Came with an array of banchan (kimchi, seaweed, fishcakes, julienned radish, beansprouts, garlic scapes). Jokbal was on the saltier side, some dry pieces of meat here and there. The pajeon was slightly thin, and not that much seafood. So friendly! You do have to wave down to order more food / get the check. Objectively, I thought spots in Mesa have better quality food, but this is a good alternative if in the West Valley.

Went back again and tried more stuff. Service was kind of slower tonight than before. It took awhile for someone to acknowledge us and take our order. Everyone was still super friendly. We ordered the cold noodles, spicy edamame, beef bulgolgi, and pork and cheese tonkatsu. The banchan was a little different this time but still good. -spicy edamame- the spicy sauce was ok. -Pork and cheese tonkatsu was cheesy. -beef bulgolgi was a little fatty. Served on a hot plate on top of onions. I just wish the onions were cooked because they were just raw. -Cold noodles. I've only tried the packaged kind from Hmart but these were very good. Great on a hot day. The noodles were good and chewy. Service was just okay compared to last time. But I would still go back because the food is great

Love mom and pop spots family owned!!! We sat in the back, the server was very friendly. The food came pretty quick from appetizers, to main dishes. Wow, such a delicious selection of foods. The ambiance was casual, the food was yummy. Loved every flavor and the kimchi. The owners are very kind and welcoming. You gotta try it if you love Korean bbq!!

Beef galbi, spicy octopus and pork belly, and Jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles - DELICIOUS).

I had dinner with a friend and she told me how authentic the food is. She is from Korea and really enjoyed the food. Great portions and wonderfully flavorful. Consistently excellent food with an extensive menu.

Solid Korean option. We ordered the beef tofu soup, pork dumplings, spicy cold noodles and the mackeral. Everything was delicious and filling. A nice variety of banchan that was refilled many times. I will definitely add this place to my regular rotation.

Historically this location has been a Korean restaurant according to the staff. So when the previous one closed they knew they had to keep the torch lit. The Banchan is delicious and I can really taste the original flavors I remember from living in Korea. I enjoy the variety and I've since been here twice and really enjoy the array of flavors. The Hot pot and Chap Chae were so good. Immediately takes me on a sensory trip The new decor makes it look bigger inside. Nice clean and simple. I look forward to coming back. You should really make your way there you won't be disappointed.

Amazing Korean food that's not all the way on the east side. The bibimbap is fantastic! Loved all the sides including kimchi. Service is always so kind. Definitely recommend checking out if you want some delicious authentic Korean food.

When you walk in it is very mom and pop style in there. We ordered some pork gyoza and edamame to start. Both were very good. Then we ordered some Tteogbokk-i it was my first time trying that. Was pretty good. For out main dishes we got marinated beef short ribs and mild pork belly. Both were very good. The ladies very very nice and brought all the little side dishes out and our drinks. I would go back. But maybe do the grilling ourselves next time.

Lots to choose from and kind staff. The food came out hot and tasted so good! I had the beef stew and the meat was so tender on the bone! Great banchan and they marinate their meat so well! My husband had the spare ribs!

This place is very cool and authentic, the owner was amazingly detailed as he is Korean. Speaks the language and everything. Food was fantastic, fun place, highly recommended!!

If you're looking for an amazing Korean spot in AZ--this is it. Everything was made perfectly, and it's probably the best Korean food I've had in a while. I'll definitely be coming back! Service was quick and efficient! The place is also open and clean. Even my fiancé, who is not a foodie at all, said he hasn't enjoyed food this much in a long time. He was so happy there, which says everything.

I just want to take a moment to give this restaurant their flowers. I ordered through Uber Eats but I feel compelled to give a review. I tried the seolleongtang at Kimchi Korean BBQ and was so blown away. The broth was rich, comforting, and clearly simmered with care, and the portions were generous. I have food allergies (gluten and dairy) they handled everything with incredible attention to detail and kindness. Even on the banchan they let me know what was and wasn't gluten and dairy free. So thoughtful. I feel so comfortable and confident with choosing this restaurant. Skinmaxxing. All I all can say is gamsahamnida!

As I sit here on my lunch break eating the last half of the last Green Chile Burrito I bought, I am…read moresaddened that Little Miss BBQ Sunnyslope location is not near me, lol!! People come here for the meats: brisket, ribs, pulled pork, BUT!!! Have you had this GREEN CHILE BURRITO?! I beg you to try it if you have not... most people don't know they even have it, but luckily, for my coworker and I, Director of Operations Matt, walked up to us as we dined in last Wednesday and let us sample the Green Chile. As most of you know, I can't hang when it comes to spicy foods, but this chile is THE EXCEPTION (even though it's only "mildly" spicy). We each ordered the 2 meat plate, but we were so appreciative of the sample he gave us, otherwise we would never have known about it. We ended up ordering 2 burritos for our lunch the very next day!! You can also add cheese to it! I went in again for the 3rd day in a row on Friday, since I'm not sure when I'll work in that area again (I was 10 min away all last week)!! I asked my boss if I could work there on Mondays and Fridays, that's how good this burrito is!! They also have a MEAN Pecan Pie. It's called Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie and it too, is a must try item! Matt told us it's a secret recipe from one of their employees and the crusts are hand pressed daily. Using a machine is just NOT the same, and I believe it! Since I am not sure when I'll make my way back there, I also bought another pie on Friday. So far, I've only had 1 slice because I need to ration accordingly! Prior to my 3 visits last week, I went to this location last July, when a friend was visiting from out of town. The place is clean and welcoming, and they have the best customer service! On Thursday and Friday when I ordered online and picked up, my orders were ready before the estimated pick up time! Mark was at the pick up window both times and he rocks!! I had forgotten to ask for the Banana Pudding I ordered on Wednesday when we dined in. I called as I drove home, realizing I left without it. Amanda was super friendly when she answered the phone and assured me I would have it when I came the next day. Mark delivered and had it in my bag the next day when I picked up our burritos. Service with a smile is what you'll get here! You cannot go wrong no matter what you order here! The meats are absolutely perfect and the flavor profile on everything is mind-blowing! Do yourself a favor and ask for the Green Chile anything next time you're here. Tell them I sent you! Don't sleep on the Banana Pudding or Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie, either. Something about that smoking process makes the pie stand out from every other pecan pie you've ever tasted, trust me. It's also NOT super sweet like you're probably used to. If you call in, you can't place an order by phone, so do it online and you'll get a text with an estimated time of pick up. You can skip the line inside, too. Just walk up to the pick up window and you're good to go when you ring the little doorbell. There is plenty of parking outside and they even have a large patio space should you choose to dine outside. Thank you, Matt, Mark, Amanda and the rest of the crew at Little Miss BBS Sunnyslope for such a pleasant experience every single time!! I will be back for sure! I have no idea what our fifth family member had, but they didn't say much until they had nothing to look at other than a clean plate. Our servers were superlative... attentive, genuinely nice people, good manners, and amicable. They got a nice tip. Outstanding evening, enjoyed by all of us.

Rudy's is good. Is it something to write home about? That probably depends on your exposure to…read morebarbecue. The concept is simple: order your meat by the pound, pick your sides, grab a dessert, and snag a beer, specialty soda, or fountain drink on your way to the register. The dining room is basically a redneck cafeteria, and I mean that as a compliment. Long community tables, no table service, and everything is self-serve. Honestly, I prefer it that way. I can grab as much white bread as I want, refill my own drink, never have to flag someone down for napkins, and I've had some great conversations with other patrons. The brisket is consistently good, and I always order it moist. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is another favorite, but the baked beans deserve their own mention. They're loaded with bits of shredded pork that add both texture and smoky flavor, making them one of the better barbecue sides around. Rudy's is one of those chains that doesn't feel like a chain. The focus is on the meat, and it shows. It delivers the consistency you'd expect from a larger operation while still feeling like a neighborhood barbecue joint. That's not an easy balance to strike, but Rudy's pulls it off.

Place was very clean and everyone was very nice. We got up to the counter and the guys actually helped make the meal better by suggesting something a little different than I was thinking. I ended up with the 2 meat baked potato. Very good food. Will be back again.

This what we ordered: Brisket Hot links Pork Belly Pork Ribs BBQ Beans Collard Greens BBQ Spaghetti Hot Water Cornbread Cedar Lane Lemonade Everything was flavored nicely. If I had to omit one item from our order it would be the beans. My favorite was the BBQ Spaghetti, collard greens and the Hot water cornbread. I thought the beans would have a bit more flavor, but I've never been a bean kind of gal. You will need to try it for yourself! The Hot water Cornbread was great. The texture was a little gritty, but still yummy. The shape is what caught me by surprise. It was round and flat almost like a pancake. The service was outstanding. Friendly and hardworking. The food came out in good time. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Has a warm but rustic vibe. I would most definitely revisit this spot whenever in the area.

The whites stayed north because local industry made real estate in the southside less desirable. Slaughterhouses and rendering factories gave south Phoenix a black cowboy population. Sure, there are cowboy groups in California - West Oakland and Compton - but these guys are all LARPing. That is, they're playing the part. Weekend warriors. It's an active neighborhood, what can you say? Neither here nor there, but the ephemera that adorns the walls is different than what you might find at a soul food place. It's decidedly more American as such. Speaking of the signage: one of them reminds you that bbq is not fast food and that a patient temperament is of the utmost. Yet, the smoker ain't going. The Cue been cooked. As for the sides, no one does greens and Mac n cheese a la minute. So if everything is prepared, why do I have to wait? I kid. I jest. The girl behind the counter was all by herself. Gave great recommendations. And even gifted me a bottle of water On this visit, brisket was sold out. Late afternoon: makes sense. They had pulled pork. Bites of the smokerd rendered fat therein had the effect of rocket fuel. Pork belly was even porkier than the aforementioned shredded butt. Ribs pretty good too. Mac: ultra cheesy. Pot liquor from the collard greens came in clutch for hydrating the more dry pieces of pork.
