So happy to see another California favorite making its way to the Valley! If you're looking for a spot that combines authentic Taiwanese comfort food with a fun night out, this is it. We had a blast singing our hearts out in one of their karaoke rooms. The Karaoke Experience: They have two private rooms that feel very intimate and cozy. The song selection is impressive--lots of "old school" hits and a great international variety. They even have disco lights (though we were having so much fun we forgot to turn them on!). Pro Tip: There is a $300 minimum spend for the room. While the bill adds up quickly, it's very reasonable if you're splitting it with a group of friends. The Food Highlights: Everything we ordered was a hit. You can tell they aren't cutting corners on flavor. Changhua Ba-Wan: This was the star of the show. It looks unique, but the taste and texture were absolutely delicious--a must-try! The Classics: The Popcorn Chicken and Fried Chicken Fillet Rice were perfectly crispy, and the Stinky Tofu hit that authentic funk just right. Seafood & Savory: The Oyster Omelette and Mixed Three-Cup Squid were packed with flavor. Comfort in a Bowl: The Braised Beef Tendon Noodle Soup had a rich, deep broth and tender meat. To Drink: Wash it all down with the Sour Plum Drink--it's the perfect palate cleanser for the savory dishes. The Verdict: Whether you're here for the Sichuan spicy wontons or just to belt out some tunes, you won't be disappointed. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Had an amazing karaoke night at Tofu King Phoenix. The food was fantastic, loved the Taiwanese dishes like oyster omelet, stinky tofu, and more. Karaoke was on point with songs in all kinds of languages and styles, from different eras to even kids' songs. Don't think it's just Chinese songs, the selection is huge! Prices were reasonable, the decorations were fun, and the staff was super friendly. Totally reminded me of Taiwan.

This is a new restaurant serving delicious Taiwanese food. If you like stinky tofu, this is definitely the place to visit! All my Taiwanese friends agree that their stinky tofu tastes really authentic and flavorful. Service was good. Since it's a newer restaurant, they don't have everything set up yet--it's still missing some nice decorations, and it would be great if they had windows to brighten up the space. But overall, the food is excellent, and I'm excited to see how this place grows!

Taiwan Hot Dog & very BLAND Thick Squid Soup with Vermicelli

Menu is limited, can't understand why all foods on the menu are not available all day. Super disappointing to be so limited. Went for lunch, all the portions were small except the Thick Squid Soup with Vermicelli which had absolutely no flavor. Understandable vermicelli is cheap so there was a big bowl of it but it was so disappointing it tasted like nothing. The changhua ba wan's sauce was delicious and the texture was impressive yet the inside meatball was extremely tiny. Best stinky tofu in the valley so far, not great but it is the best one I've had here. The broth from the beef tendon noodle soup was delicious!! Great broth, not much noodles and not much tendon but the tendon was very soft & tender. Best dish out of the 7 items ordered. Pork chop was bland & not crispy. I think they need to meet the vendors of Herculean Chicken and use their batter concoction! Only 1 person works there, not very friendly or accommodating. Saw her struggle with non Mandarin speaking customer. Will be difficult for those who don't speak Mandarin.

I was very excited to try this place, since it's rare to find a Taiwanese restaurant here. The service was great--very friendly and truly Taiwanese. However, the food was just okay and a bit pricey in my opinion. The flavors were fairly close to authentic Taiwanese cuisine, but overall it felt average and not particularly special. I left feeling a little disappointed.

Newest Taiwanese restaurant in town, but it's already mostly definitely the best in town as well. Food tasted absolutely amazing, raised the standards for their competitors for sure. Service was a bit slow, cuz the owners just started running it, so it'll take some time for them to settle and sort out this situation. Can tell interior decoration is in progress, but looking forward to seeing the end product. Food is worth every penny I spent. I will definitely be heading back in the near future!

The food is consistently outstanding, and the warm, attentive service keep us coming back time and time again. On this visit, we ordered the sautéed whole lobster with green onions and ginger, beef lo mein, shrimp lo mein, walnut shrimp, and fried rice. Every dish was prepared beautifully and packed with flavor, but the lobster was truly divine. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and infused with the aromatic flavors of fresh ginger and green onions, it was one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression long after the meal is over. The beef and shrimp lo mein were equally delicious, with rich savory flavors and generous portions, while the walnut shrimp was perfectly crisp with a delicate sweetness that balanced the dish beautifully. The fried rice was the perfect complement to everything on the table. We also enjoyed a few sake bombers, which are hands down the best we've had anywhere. They are always perfectly prepared and have become a must-order whenever we visit. They pair wonderfully with the food and add an extra touch of fun to an already fantastic dining experience. What truly sets China Chili apart is its consistency. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, you can always count on exceptional food, attentive service, and genuine hospitality. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and always makes us feel like valued guests.

It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. I also want to try their happy hour that's available everyday from 4-7PM. All the food items are only $7 and variety looks amazing.

I ventured inside on this lovely Sunday, noting a delightfully serene dining room with only a few select patrons present. I was instantly received by a charming young woman at the counter who extended a remarkably friendly greeting. While my initial impression of the layout was conservative, the hospitality quickly evolved into something genuinely impressive. They also feature a beautifully appointed small bar that crafts cocktails, which adds a sophisticated touch. I escorted myself to an excellent table and requested a bowl of Egg Drop Soup to enjoy while engaging in a brief, lovely conversation with the attentive staff. The preparation was entirely satisfactory. While the interior architecture and decor are not quite as grand in scale as I had initially envisioned, the aesthetic is tastefully curated and not bad at all. For my main course, I selected the Mongolian Beef from the menu a splendid choice, and beautifully priced at $14.85. The gentleman assisting us throughout the afternoon was an absolute credit to the establishment, executing his duties with flawless precision. When the entrée arrived, the flavor profile and presentation left me completely satisfied. Between the exemplary service and the delicious culinary execution, it was an absolute treat. I shall most certainly be returning to this delightful sanctuary

To be clear, I am a New Yorker and know good fast Chinese food. The ambiance was promising. It looked like I was finally going to find what I've been looking for in Phoenix for years. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

Given the landlocked area and dearth of Asian markets, I have so much respect and awe that they dont hold back on lemongrass and all the thai spices in both of the food and cocktails. We opted for indoors since we visited in June heat and that was a great decision as we were sat in the back clubhouse which felt like a secret cocktail club. Btw, if you reserve indoors or outdoors, they will hold you to it. Save room for their hibiscus and lemongrass creme brûlée that has the perfect crust and smooth texture.
