We were craving Korean bar food so popped over and got a few items. Always get the cheesy corn and some fried chicken to dip into it! The best thing was the Brussel sprouts. I'm glad that trend isn't over! Service was great. Place is small yet decorated well. read more

We came here for linner and thought the place looked pretty cool, nice indoor and outdoor seating, fun vibe, definitely a hangout spot. But honestly, we came for the food, and it just didn't hit the mark. We ordered the 54th Street fries, K-tacos, spam musubi, bulgogi quesadilla, sotteck kochi, and corn cheese. Everything was either too sweet or too salty. We were all guzzling water like crazy. Feels like they expect you to just drink a lot... and maybe that's the point. Either way, once is enough for us. Not coming back. read more

Great location, good happy hour. Would kind to see more food and mocktail options added to happy hour. Would also love if they'd bring nonalcoholic bubbles but they do have mocktail options available. I ordered a couple snacks while waiting for a friend. Started with happy hour Sotteok kochi. It was smothered in a spicy red hot sauce which I didn't love and the sausage tasted to me like a microwaved hotdog...maybe normal? ‍ I don't know. I did love the rice cake with it but wiped off the sauce to enjoy it. I also ordered a side of ramen noodles. That I loved but that's pretty standard. It was not flavored so I tailored it with soy sauce and lime juice. Would have loved a flavoring option even if just powdered chicken but made do :) Generous portion for a side which is great! Server Bella was so lovely, an absolute doll. She was running around quite a bit. The bar isn't designed to let her wander about efficiently. read more

My nephew wanted to come here for his birthday after having been before. I had no clue this place only served tapas. We went during their Sunday Happy Hour. Our server, Kellise, probably didn't spell her name right lol, was wonderful. She was friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was amazing and I will happily come back to this spot. read more

Looking for Korean bar food in Scottsdale? Head on over to Pocha 54 for some yummy eats! We arrive late on a weeknight and settled in for drinks and grub. This is tapas, so the dishes are smaller than a full entree, but they're still sizable. And most importantly, they are spicy! My favorite was the gochujang shrimp - grilled shrimp tossed in spicy gochujang sauce with scallions. Plump and juicy, sweet and spicy, I could just eat these and be happy. Plenty of screens playing sports and a cool, subdued vibe for a nice evening in north Phoenix. read more

First time visiting POCHA 54. We walked in at about 6:30 PM and it was very quiet so I was a little concerned despite the great yelp reviews. Now one hour and 20 minutes later this place is hopping! There are so many interesting things on the menu that are new to me! We started with the Spam Musubi and Sotteok Kochi. We actually liked both of them, but definitely an experience! The one piece of spam is enormous! For dinner, we ordered the Cheese Buldak and the mushroom japchae. we really liked both of them, but the Korean spicy chicken in the buldak is amazing. Destiny is a great server! The overall vibe is fun and lively. Check it out! read more

This place was a true gem!! We love Korean food and these tapas just hit!! We had the tofu, the crab salad and tteokbokki. We were full, the crab salad came first the other 2 things took more time. We also had Soju. The ambience is great and of course they play KPOP a lot. Our server was very attentive and the place wasn't that crowded because it was Sunday night. Will def come back read more

Q: What did the fried rice say to the kimchi? A: Don't wok away from me! Kevin, the guy who brought us Zu Izakaya, Zu & Pocha, Bei, and other great eateries around the valley also brings us Pocha 54 Korean Tapas. We had just gotten done with the USA TODAY Wine & Food Experience when we wanted a bit of time to unwind before heading home. Having had this place on our radar for the longest time, the six of us popped in for some tapas despite being full of spirits and small bites. No regrets though because everything was amazing. I can't even begin to tell you what all was had but every plate was cleared and enjoyed. I especially liked the Gochujang Garlic Shrimp! This is a super cute place with ample patio seating. I'm not in this area often but I would definitely pop in again. Also to note, happy hour is daily from 4pm-6pm and 9pm-11pm. They also have all-day happy hour on Sundays and Tuesdays. read more

This is one of my husband and I current favorite date spot to hit up. It's inviting, good vibes, and nice service. I don't have to get super dressed up, but feel like I'm a bit more upscale than chipotle or chilis (there is nothing wrong with these places either, but not my ideal date night). Here you have a menu of several different Korean tapas and it's perfect to order a few and share. Everything we've gotten has been very good and anything with the melted cheese is great, especially the corn and naan! We weren't the biggest fans of the spicy ramen, it tasted too similar to ramen I could get at the market, grocery store, or online. Seemed like a little spicier cup of noodles with different garnish. That is the only reason I give a 4/5 vs 5/5. Other than that, still a favorite spot to visit, for a good, fun and comfortable date night. read more

Came here for a date since it's one of the restaurants I haven't been to in High Street. My date made a reservation for 4pm on Sunday and we were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 30 min. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. We ordered 5 items and all were good. A little spicy for my taste and still good. As a thank you for making a reservation that manager gave us a complimentary mochi desert. read more

What a hidden gem! This Korean tapas place was soooooooo good. We tried several items from the happy hour menu. The chicken Mandu (pan fried dumplings were delicious and the sauce was great). We also enjoyed the padak (kind of like a chicken nugget with a nice sauce) and the tofu steak. The Korean spicy ramen was so good with the perfect level of spice. My husband enjoyed the bulgogi and rice. The service was super friendly and on top of everything with great recommendations. How did I not find this place earlier. Will be back!! read more

I dined with my group of six for some happy hour grub after a festival. Since we all love Zu and Pocha, Pocha 54 was an easy choice, as they're owned by the same person. The space is cozy and inviting, though indoor seating is limited. Fortunately, they have two patios with additional seating, and we were seated outside. We ordered the following to share: Corn Cheese and Naan $9.54 Tteokbokki and Calamari $15.54 Gochujang Garlic Shrimp $19.54 Gochujang Brussels Sprout $9.54 K-tacos $9.54 Mushroom Japchae $12.54 Tofu Steak $5.54 54th Street Fries $5.54 We enjoyed everything! My favorites were the Brussels sprouts, mushroom japchae, and fries. I'm a sucker for fries, and theirs were perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. The whole group seemed pleased, and all the dishes were perfect for sharing. Service was friendly. I live too far to visit often, but it's worth a try if you're in the area! read more

Came here on a Wednesday around 7:30z was pretty quiet except for one party that left before us. At that point my wife and I were the only ones inside. Pretty easy to review since food came out super quick. Nice place, clean, Korean music, nice deco as well. Food came out fast since we were the only ones which I expected. Flavor on point, manager was nice too! Only minor complaint is that the price seems a little high, but will still give 5 out of 5 for the overall experience! Recommend for a good night out with drinking and friends! read more

Came by on a Wednesday night around 7pm. Not busy at all as there were only a couple other occupied tables. Menu selection was smaller, but not bad for a tapas style establishment. Pocha 54 Korean Tapas - Korean Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Tonight ended up being a very enjoyable evening thanks to an impromptu visit to Pocha 54. My husband and I were in the area, because I was getting some ski bindings mounted to my new skis and looking for something good to eat. I love Italian food, sushi, and Mediterranean, but I was craving something with flavor and something different. This place really hit that spot. Everyone is so warm and welcoming here, which is perfect because we were trying to avoid the pretentiousness of nearby restaurants. This one takes a modern twist on traditional Korean foods, and makes it tapas style so you can share with whoever you're with. The Gochujang brussel sprouts were the first dish to come out. Slightly spicy but full of flavor. This was one of our favorites! The Kimchi fried rice was tasty being flavored with kimchi and I loved the fact there was spam in it, since I grew up eating spam. The egg with garlic really made this dish especially savory. Gochujang garlic shrimp. I guess there's a theme here. We like some spiciness with garlic. It wasn't too spicy though. It was just right for me. Bryan always likes his food extra spicy but we could've asked for hot sauce if needed. The shrimp was nice and crispy even with the Gochujang sauce and never got soggy. Bryan ate most of the shrimp- tail and all since it was so crispy. Bulgogi Mushroom Pot with glass noodles. The broth is so yummy. It was one of my favorites. I may be partial though since I love mushrooms and the broth so much with the glass noodles. With the weather being cooler outside, having this savory soup warm you up felt so perfect. The corn cheese and naan felt like an appetizer type dish. The corn tasted a little on the sweeter side, so the garlic naan really balanced the flavors out. This was a unique one. We tried some Soju bombs, which were really good. I also tried the mule with a hint of cucumber. Really refreshing. They also gave us Soju Mojito drinks which was equally refreshing and enjoyable. Overall, I'm so excited we discovered this place! We live in the far NW valley but I'd say it is worth the drive to come back. I can't wait to tell my friends that we have a new happy hour spot or late night hang out place. We are definitely missing something like this modern Korean fare in the west valley. read more

TOO SALTY for me. Promptly seated on a Saturday evening, all bar seats open too which suggests it's own ambience as all other places were poppin. Kpop in the background. 54th street fries +/- initially tasty but salty towards the end - supposedly with kimchi or gochugaru seasoning and Parmesan but those flavors were minimal and it tasted like Cajun fries Ddukboki with twigim + saving Grace was the soft and chewy dduk - otherwise sauce was too sweet and watery Wings + tender meat - tender breading too = not crispy - wayyy to salty sauce Odeng hot pot - soup tastes like black pepper + MSG read more

Pocha 54 Korean Tapas Small restaurant bar or should I say bar restaurant. About 5 to 6 tables for seating along with around 10 bar spots with some outside seating. Sotteok Kochi is a Korean Rice Cake, pork sausage skewering sweet gochjang, enjoyed the pork sausage, the sweet gochjang was a different taste and texture. Bulgogi Mushroom Pot bulgogi, shitake mushrooms, glass noodles, scallion and onion was a nice dish, the broth is excellent which is an important detail for me with a generous amount of bulgogi and clear noodles. Highly recommend this dish, plus good to share with all the different tapas. K-Taco we had the bulgogi protein with onions and stir fry Tapas were a good size taco that came in two. Good dish to try and complimentary tapa Soy Garlic Chicken Wings roasted wings, soy garlic sauce and coleslaw comes with 6 wings were okay, were they the best KFC wings, probably not but pretty good tasting sauce. Crispy Mayo Shrimp Crispy shrimp, sweet mayo, iceberg lettuce with parsley was probably the best dish done very well. Get this dish. Corn Cheese and Naan sweet corn kernals, diced onions, mozzarella cheese with garlic naan. Nice complimentary Tapas dish and a nice touch with the garlic naan Very small intimate restaurant bar with good food, really not suited for large parties. Something new and unique, nice tasting tapas. read more

Came in for dinner with a friend last night & was able to be seated quickly. They do take reservations online, which is very convenient but I was fortunate enough to snag a table without one. The volume of the music definitely increased as the night went on which made it a tad difficult to hear my friend but wasn't so loud that I thought I'd lose my hearing. Nice music selection too. Menu cleverly has prices ending in ".54" Service was attentive. When asked if we were ordering enough & told her what we were looking at, she agreed that would or should be enough. But it's tapas, you can always order more. The portions, for tapas, I thought were a bit large but it was definitely enough for the two of us. We received our order promptly. The corn cheese I thought could be a little hotter & cheese meltier, but overall was enjoyable. The edamame had a nice little kick & the bowl it came in was super cute with its kitty outlines. For the tacos, we ordered pork as the meat and it was delicious. The bulgogi was also nicely seasoned. The kimchi that accompanied the meats was also well seasoned. Definitely a fusion place with bits of tradition thrown in. I would say worth checking out if you are craving some Korean food read more

My friends and I were actually going to happy hour at cook and craft but they closed for two days due to some issues and it was so disappointing so we walked around and saw this new place on high street and there was no wait. We got seated right away and got ice cold water in these metal cups which made it taste even colder. And on a hot day, it was so refreshing. We received the menus right away and got their happy hour soju. We ordered tropical and peach, shared between 4 people was plenty! There was no food on happy hour which is why I rated this place as a 4. Only drinks were offered on happy hour. I think it would be a good idea to add a couple things of food or smaller bites on happy hour with their drinks. We did order food and it all came at a good time, great temperature and very flavorful. The spam was super thick and we got quite a bit, which was nice! This is definitely a good place to try! I would suggest also, more lively music for those at happy hour. All in all, it was a good first experience and I will go back! read more
