Killer Burger - Delish and cold blackberry cider - Burgers Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

GF had friends that touted how good this place was. This past weekend we were both too tired to want to cook at home so we decided to give Killer Burger a try. I ordered the Motley Que and it was a really good burger. We ordered our fries double fried and that is definitely the way to go and get the share size versus the add-on fries to your burger. My gf and her mom both got the Classic (American chez destroys me) and they both enjoyed their burgers. I also enjoy that I can make Arnold Palmers here. Killer Burger does make a good burger - Bo & Vine could learn a ton from Killer Burger, and the staff are all quite nice and helpful. Definitely give this place a try. Parking for the one on Coburg Rd can get quite fun but that in no way detracts from these tasty burgers & fries. I might try a double patty burger next time I am there. read more

Nice chill spot to grub on some of the most delicious but messy burgers and people watch at the same time. Staff is helpful and you get your meal pretty quick unless they're super packed. read more

We had driven for 6 hours on the way back from Gold Beach and wanted something fast and filling. Killer fit the bill on both. We all ordered burgers from the Bender to the Teemah. They were all delicious per usual. Always reliable in my experience. The service was fast and the to go order was ready on time. The staff was following Covid-19 protocols. read more

The name says it all: Killer Burger - truth in advertising. This place meets my definition of Food Porn. Each burger has bacon on it, which of course you can omit (which I did). I ordered the "Fun Guy," a play on Funghi. It included the mushrooms in what they called a cheese fondue. This burger was deluged with so much cheese, it was truly swimming in it as though it was fondue itself, aptly named. I wasn't prepared for this amount of cheesiness. I could barely find the skinny little meat patty in it. Sorry folks, but YUCK! The bun was supposedly grilled but with all that cheese, it was just plain "Gommy!" The fries were tolerable but not fresh potatoes , probably frozen. The best part was my cold beer and the service. Hence, two stars. Apparently the kitchen was slow because at some point, my nose buried in an interesting article, the server came to my table and apologized for the delay in my food and offered me a free dessert. A not too bad chocolate chip cookie to go. Not homemade, but decent according to my husband who had it for his evening sweet. I appreciated that gesture. A bit disconcerting, though why should I really care, was that the place was packed. I had two juxtaposing thoughts - either I have become not only a coffee, beer and wine snob, but now a burger and fries snob. Yikes! The other thought, rather judgmental as well on my part, was that Eugeneans prefer food porn! Will I return? Heck no! read more

I called in an order for the pickup for a Motley Crue burger and the famous Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon burger. Once I got there, they were quick to help me out and kind. I told them about my pickup and since I had just called it in, they said they were working on it. I wasn't in any rush so I sat down and filled time by doing some online shopping. My name is unique and sometimes difficult for folks to pronounce so I made sure to pay attention to my name getting called, or really any derivative. Thirty minutes go by after being told it'd take approximately ten minutes. Again, I wasn't rushing so I just figured they were picking up in business... which they were. Long story short, my order got lost in the sauce. Eventually, a grill master (is that what they're called?) queued host to check my order as he saw me still waiting. They found my order and ultimately refunded me the entire order without prompt. I even told the grill guy it wasn't necessary but he insisted they made a mistake and wanted to make it right. I can appreciate a business that owns their mistakes then even goes the extra step of making it right. I love their burgers anyways, but to have great customer service on top of that is literally the best. Shoutout to the grill master, grill dude, chef who made it right and was too kind. If anybody of Killer Burger importance reads this, I ordered on 9/15/22 at 4:59pm. Check #63. read more

Killer Burger is easily in my top 5 burger places of all time. They have some very creative burger combinations which can seem a little weird at first but they are all amazing. The Bender is my favorite but you have to try the Peanut Butter Pickle Burger at least once. Fries are also top tier with the perfect amount of crunch. It also has a great location in Downtown Eugene with spacious inside seating as well. If you love burgers as much as I do, this place is worth checking out! read more

Good news! I didn't die after eating this burger. Every burger comes with fries and bacon which I love. They also have vegetarian and gluten free options. Fries look fresh cut and fried with the skins on. Perfect salt amount on them too. Super flavorful. I enjoyed my Bender burger that has BBQ Siracha. I liked the flavor of the burger and their gluten free bun was decent. The cranberry cider from Bandon Rain washed it all down nicely. I think I found my new favorite cider. You walk in and place your order and someone will bring it out to you and they will bus your table afterwards. Awesome staff and killer eats. read more

The staff were lovely. The music was edgy and loud when we came in (Sunday before noon), and so we ordered impetuously. audio does that to me. I asked the Nice person taking our order at the counter to turn down the music a bit, and they were cool with that. as to the Mendoza burgers, my wife thought they were salty. I thought maybe part of that perception was the peppers which did have some kick. Pickles with green chilies? Don't know about that. Here's the recommendation: if you're going to put that much gloppy "cheese" (and who knows what) inside that burger, you better toast the daylights out of that bun. We ended up with these gooey messes. As you get toward the end of a meal and all you have left in your hand is this dripping mass? The fries and the barbecue sauce were excellent. So was the beer. I blame it all on the audio. I might have to sneak back and try again by myself. read more

Was walking around downtown Eugene and was happy to see it! I hadn't had Killer Burger since I went to the original location in Portland a decade ago on NE Sandy. Better than I remembered! I got the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger, and it was freaking delicious. That peanut sauce is a nice and sweet contrast to the salty bacon and pickles. Fries were excellent too, and so was the spicy BBQ sauce I got for dipping. The beer selection on tap was pretty solid for a little burger joint. Definitely would like to go back next time I'm out in Eugene. read more

The burgers were amazing, my daughter and I had the (Teehama) burger with blue cheese and pickles and my husband had the meat burger. They did not disappoint. The fries were crispy but the best part was the options for dipping sauces. There had to be over 8 different types from a peanut butter to BBQ and spicy something. They had beer options on tap and a soda fountain. The restaurant had a great vibe. Sure glad we stopped to give it a try. Next time in Eugene we are stopping by to try new burgers and all the dipping sauces. read more

July, 2018. Hit this place up twice while in town for a work conference. It was walking distance from the host hotel in Eugene. First time ordered a Classic burger (1/3 pound patty, bacon, American cheese, pickle, grilled onions, house sauce, lettuce, and tomato for $9.95) without a top bun (since they only had shredded lettuce I couldn't have it wrapped). Please get with the times Eugene, accommodate the keto- diet folks that visit your fine town. It was a basic burger, no frills with bacon on the side, but not a great one. I got Kettle chips instead of fries and they gave me a $1 upcharge! Second time I visited I ordered the Meathead (2, 1/3 pound patties, grilled onions, bacon, cheddar, house sauce) with fries. The fries were a bit over crispy, but the Meathead was much better than the Classic and it did taste better with the whole bun (threw the diet out the window for lunch). I must say, I bet the Meathead would be a pretty decent burger if they could get whole lettuce and make a wrap. Anyway, although decent, neither of these burgers flirted with my wow meter and for $11.25, I feel like I should have been flirted with. read more

This was a recommended spot from Michael at The Lodge at Riverside hotel in Grants Pass. And he was right on. We got to Eugene just in time for lunch and stopped here for the best burger in coastal Oregon. we got lucky and found a parking spot right on the street in front of the store front. Order and pay at the counter, take your table marker, and sit inside or outside if you like. My GF had the Classic burger, and I had the Old Fashioned Burger, both came with fries. We ordered the kid size burger with no bacon/cheese and catchup only, since all the burgers come with bacon on them. Killer Burger is a small restaurant chain, and this franchise lost two stars when they screwed up the orders, and put bacon/cheese on both of their burgers. However they gained one star back when they gave us a to-go box, and replaced the burger orders. The picnic tables on the sidewalk are tasty treats for at least one homeless guy. He kept walking back-and-forth picking up scraps after people left their tables..!! Well recommended, we will return to other Killer(s). read more

The burger is very voluptuous. The meat was perfectly cooked and the fries were perfect amount of crisp. You can hear the crunch when you bite into them, and that's very important. The pickles were so juicy and crispy. When I bit into them my mouth exploded. However, overall the was a little salty for my liking, but it was still super bussin. read more

This place there Burgers are Burgerlious!!! Definitely have to try it out if you stop by Eugene. I ordered the Bender burger which include a double patty, sautéed onion, special sauce, and crispy jalapeño chips. It's a pretty decent portion which will fill you up even if you think you can eat couple burgers. This place one burger is enough I believe, another great thing I like about this place is that they have bottomless fries. There fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy in every bites. Next time I stop by this place I would have to tell them to give me extra fries in my basket. Lol Another great deals in this restaurant is that they have daily special for mix drinks! $5 dollar per drink I mean can't beat that deal. The drinks there are alright, can't complain about $5 right! read more

Killer Burger was a pleasant surprise tonight. Six of us enjoyed terrific burgers and fries. The burger had special seasonings which were delicious. The burgers were large and had some unique fillings. I had the Môtley Que with bbq sauce that was rich and tasty, bacon, grilled onions and a soft bun. Everyone else had burgers and fries that were piping hot. There are lots of combinations for every taste. We barely waited and love the Duck decor motif. Definitely going to go again soon! read more

I arrived to pick up my order at the estimated time it was supposed to be ready. The staff ignored me waiting at the register at first, then informed me it would be at least 20 more minutes until my for would be ready--they hasn't started cooking it yet. The staff didn't really offer any consolation or apology, and seemed to have a really crappy attitude about the whole thing. They said there's nothing they can do about the estimated wait times, that's a "higher up thing." 30 minutes after my food was supposed to be ready, they handed me my order, and it was incomplete. The cashier went back to the kitchen and a few minutes later emerged with the missing drink. Go to Happy Cow or Bo and Vine instead, they are more local, both make a great burger, and can figure out an honest wait time. read more

This place is great if you like loud music, big burgers, crisp fries with flaky salt, and beer/cocktails. I recommend the PBPB, Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger. I sat across the picnic table from my husband and asked him what he thought of his burger. With his Red Sox hat on his head, he wiped his mouth and said in a slightly fading, but ever present Boston accent "It's wicked good". I enjoyed my own version of the PBPB as a vegetarian. Hemp patty, pickles, PB sauce, and fresh onions, hold the bacon. *Their grilled onions are cooked in bacon grease so heads up vegetarian/vegan friends.* I know it sounds like I discarded all the delicious bits but I promise the creamy PB with the salty brine of the pickles and the flavor of the hemp patty compliment each other beautifully. Try it, you'll like it! read more

I never would have thought it possible, but this place did it. How to you make peanut butter, pickles, and bacon work? You put them all on a burger together, of course! The peanut butter is a sauce and blends nicely with the bacon. I normally like cheese on my burgers, but the peanut butter did a good job of making me forget there wasn't cheese. Dipping sauces for the fries were good, too. I got the ranch and spicy BBQ, both excellent. I will add the spicy BBQ sauce is spicy...make sure you actually like spicy, not just the word. Very interesting concept, really tasty. Would really like to try more! read more

So good when we tried it yesterday, we came back again for lunch today. All the burgers come with bacon, which might just tell you everything you need to know right there. The burgers are perfection. I am new to the area so had never been to Killer Burger before, but my cousin's daughter goes often. A friend recommended the peanut butter pickle bacon burger, and I was a little skeptical but decided to take a chance. Oh my goodness. The fries were perfection, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just enough salt. I can't wait to go back!! I wanted to order the mushroom Swiss next time, but I don't know if I can leave the peanut butter burger behind. I might have to order two and take one to go for the next day. read more

Stopped by here because we were on the road to Portland. My order: Classic Burger (comes with bacon and fries) - The patty is juicy and tasty! Just like the entire burger! You could never go wrong with the classic burger since after all it is a "classic." I also don't know where they get their ingredients from but I have a feeling it's good and not like preserved ingredients. - They ask if you'd like to have a smaller size version of the burger which is nice if you don't want to eat so much. - the fries are also bomb! It's not too salty. It's salted perfectttly. The place: - There is a lot of seating and it seems like a great place for families and friends. - The workers are also very friendly! read more

I just came in to pick up an order for a doordash customer. The person at the front counter was assisting a couple finishing with their dining out order and there was another person behind them. I waited over by the takeout area for the host to talk with the second customer after which I anticipated being able to pick up my order and deliver it. Not only was I completely ignored but both the host and another employee who made eye contact with me walked away from me one to go back and continue talking to their supervisor and the other one who picked up the phone instead of coming to serve me, who was patiently waiting for the order If this is the kind of service that they provide then I would not recommend coming to this restaurant or ordering from there! read more

We walked past this restaurant often and it was always busy. The price for the burgers are quite pricy but they do offer some unique combinations. When my husband found out they have a happy hour special, we decided to give the restaurant a try. The staff are very friendly and yes, the music is very loud. However I do like the music. The burgers taste very good. Since the happy hour special include classic and PB pickle bacon burger, we ordered one of each. The burgers taste very good and the meat was cooked just right. I especially like the PB burger and the combination of homemade PB and burger was amazing. The classic burger does get a bit soggy when you take the last bite but I think it is because it has lots of sauce. The bottomless fries are no big deal. We thought it was over-fried. When you a refill on fries, just go up to the counter and make a request. The restaurant setup is kind of like a cafeteria style. The restaurant is very clean. We think the happy hour special is a great deal! The only reason I rated a 4 stars is due to the high price for regular burgers. read more
