I admire the approach they take to their burgers: 1/3 pound patty and bacon on everything. What's not to love?!? I was recommended the Teemah Burger, a twist on your average cheeseburger that uses a combination of melted and crumbled bleu cheese to go along with pickle, onion, and house sauce. This big messy burger was cooked just right, and the flavor that the bleu cheese added was a perfect balance to the juiciness of the burger and the secret sauce. Every burger is served with fries, and if the fries had been a little more to my liking I would have been tempted to go up that extra star. But all in all not bad for $12. read more

My family and I just spent a long weekend in Eugene. The highlight of our trip, was by far, our visit to Killer Burger! We can't stop talking about it. I have tried having a burger here on two separate occasions both times the staff told me my order would take 30 minutes. It took over an hour. The first time I waited and the burger was good but nothing killer. The fries tasted good. The second time after waiting the additional 30 minutes, I asked to speak to a manager. Dined here today and the restaurant was moderately busy. The price is what you would expect for a "gourmet" burger. We placed our order and it legitimately took an hour for two burgers to arrive at our table. The food was good (fries were average though) and the place was clean and employees were nice. This is not the place to go if you are vegan and/or gluten-free. I was able to piece something together, but there is nothing specifically for us folks. Vegans be warned: the grilled onions are made in bacon grease. There is a veggie patty to substitute for a meat patty, so that's helpful. It was good enough to eat, but I'm glad I split it with my husband, cuz it wasn't great enough to want a whole burger. It was rather squishy and bland. I don't expect a burger joint to be a haven for my vegan dietary requirements, but I would have liked to see more options to substitute on my burger, like hummus or sprouts, or something. I mean, they're conscious enough to offer a veggie patty, so it's not a total stretch, right? Man, I wish those onions weren't cooked in bacon grease, they would be a perfect option! Although I enjoyed my glass of wine, I would have preferred a gluten-free beer. It's just another burger place. Location isn't good. No parking anywhere, which really made me upset. People begging for food and money right outside the entrance. The music was awful and I couldn't wait to leave because of it. I usually don't care what music is playing, but whatever they were playing it was just loud and obnoxious. We couldn't have conversations. It took 30 minutes for 2 burgers AND their coleslaw is basically cabbage with water. Don't bother spending the $3 for it. It's disgusting. This place is freaking amazing! The PBPB Burger is the best burger I have ever had. Soooooooo perfect and unique. The fries are also pretty darn good as well. I haven't actually been inside this location, due to it being surrounded by a hell of a lot of homeless people, so I can't speak to the ambiance. I don't want to come across as cold, but homeless people are not who I want to see when I'm trying to get my grub on. This place is also a good value as the burgers are cheaper than just about any burger you'd get at most restaurants. Once again, this is one of those Eugene "restaurants" - and I use that term VERY loosely - where you order at the counter and either they call your name and you pick it up or they simply wonder around yelling your name over their incredibly loud music. Oh, after you wait for nearly 20 minutes for said burger and fries. The peanut butter on the burger was WAY TOO SALTY, as was the bacon - but the overall flavor of the burger was decent. And the bottomless fries...DELICIOUS!! But all of this seems to pale in comparison with how loud their establishment is - GIGANTIC televisions that can not be heard (just seen from a mile away) because of their terrible choice in music - and not just music...LOUD MUSIC. This was a Tuesday evening, at 5:00. NO ONE wants to eat with that loudness and certainly NOT a place to entertain a client or have a date. What gives Killer Burgers...WHY THE LOUDNESS?? I've been waiting to leave a review for this place, so super happy their yelp is set up! This might end up being long... but don't worry, it's worth it. We came to Killer Burger the day after it opened, we walked in and it wasn't too crowded, decided to sit down at the bar (SO HAPPY they have a full bar!!!) The bartender walked up, asked us what we wanted to drink, so we looked over their cocktail menu. We both got margaritas because those are our favorite drinks. They came in a short glass, served up tall, with all the extra on the side so you could poor the rest into your own glass. We loved that and thought they tasted super delicious! Tart and perfect. We ordered burgers, I got their Killer Burger and my boyfriend got the Black Molly. While we waited we watched the 3 obnoxious bartenders eat two baskets of french fries right in front of the whole bar. One basket that was plain and one basket with cheese. They ranted about how tired they were and how they couldn't wait to be off, blah blah blah. SO Unprofessional. I worked in a restaurant for 3 years (bet everyone hears that all the time, but I did, haha) and I already know you're never supposed to eat behind a bar. So not only did they eat, talk crap about their job, but they made all our drinks without washing their hands afterwards. Along with other illegal things we saw them do that I don't even want to say to keep everyone from getting into trouble. I just hope the owner watches his employees more often, unless he condones it.. then go ahead haha! But...if we're being completely honest, this didn't keep us from coming back. We came back in two days later during the day. It wasn't too busy again. Sat down in the bar, had different servers, and they were totally awesome! Burgers were great as they were before and our drinks even better. I think this is a great great addition to Eugene and something we definitely needed. In the upscale area of the Downtown Eugene development, it looks as though there is another hot spot to eat. Killer Burger, right next to Sizzle Pie and across the street from First National Taphouse is a happening place. They only serve burgers here, no fish tacos or pasta dishes, just well thought out burgers. With the industrial look in full effect, you come here to get a serious burger fix. With a small bar area, seating is plentiful even with some window seats for outside viewing. Parking however can be a bit of a challenge as with any downtown location but usually never too far away. To date I have had three of their signature burgers. The Teemah, Barnyard and Black Molly. Now keep in mind that all burgers here start out as 1/3 lb and also include bacon. On every burger! The Teemah, which is becoming my favorite has bacon, melted bleu, smokey house sauce grilled onions and pickle. I am a large man and I eat a lot of food, and I only mention this, because these burgers are freakin huge. The Barnyard, with bacon, ham, egg, American cheese, lettuce, tomato house sauce, grilled onions and pickle is a 1b selection. Now for a different take, the Black Molly with bacon, philly steak, provolone, brined green chilies, house sauce, grilled onions and Mayo. Wow!! And keep in mind, you can make any burger a "fatty" by adding and 1/3 lb patty. Not sure how you would it eat, unless your a reticulated Python, but go for it! Add all this up and a giant heaping of home style fries and you will be eating like a king for a paupers budget. read more
