Keepers Coastal Kitchen brings a coastal-inspired dining experience to South Austin with a relaxed…read moreneighborhood feel. The restaurant's "landlocked life, coastal state of mind" concept comes through in the menu, featuring seafood-forward dishes, creative cocktails, and Gulf-inspired flavors. I ordered a custom crafted Black Cherry Muddled Mezcal Margarita, which was a great balance of smoky mezcal, sweetness, and fresh flavors. It was a unique twist on a classic margarita and was the highlight of the meal. I started with the Roasted Carrots, served with whipped ricotta, watercress, date vinaigrette, and candied pecans. While the combination of flavors was interesting, the dish felt more like a salad than a true roasted carrot dish. The carrots were also a bit overcooked, and I would have preferred for the carrots themselves to be the main focus and shine as the highlight of the dish. For my entrée, I ordered the Cioppino and customized it by removing the clams and adding extra mussels. The dish featured mussels, white fish, shrimp, and chopped clams in a flavorful tomato broth served with grilled sourdough. The seafood was well prepared, however the broth was a bit too thick like a marinara consistency but had good rich and savory flavor. The restaurant was not very busy during my visit, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The atmosphere is casual yet polished, and it's a nice spot for anyone looking for coastal flavors without having to leave Austin.

As someone who loves…read moresupporting local restaurants -- especially Persian-owned businesses -- and lives in an area that desperately needs more great dining options, I was rooting for this place from the beginning. Unfortunately, over time, the food has been more disappointing than memorable. From the opening preview when the shrimp hot dog made its debut -- an ambitious choice, but not one that made me excited to come back -- to the overly salty crab fingers and other menu items that have felt like they were trying to be interesting rather than actually being delicious, it just hasn't come together. The biggest frustration is that the potential is clearly there. The location is great, the concept is unique, and Circle C needs more restaurants that people can't wait to return to. I'm still hoping they find their stride because I want local places like this to succeed.

Excellent!! From…read morethe moment you walk in the door, you feel the vibe, it's cool, classy, and laid-back! The menu is full of incredible options, you're sure to find something that inspires your palate, and satisfies your belly!! Our server, Lila, is a beautiful person full of joy, and clearly loves what she does! We were there with friends, and enjoyed a beverage before ordering food; even the drink menu has something you probably haven't tried before! #GoForIt! The food is incredible, served hot and fresh. The flavors in every appetizer and entrée were pure perfection! I have never been a Salmon fan... but I LOVED their Salmon appetizer, and look forward to having it again! I don't remember what we all had, but EVERY dish was prepared to perfection and served with HEART!! It was our first time there, and we will definitely return. Thank you, Lila, for making our first visit memorable! If you're wondering if this place is worth a visit, don't think .. just go, and enjoy yourself; you'll be glad you did! I took several pics, but they were somehow deleted... bummer!

The bar definitely had plenty of TVs, so if you're sports person. You could easily catch a game while here. One of the Table tents, notified guest of a happy hour for oysters, which I'm not an oyster fan, but hey to each their own. Had to try out the clam chowder and it was one of the best clam chowder I've had quite some time. You could easily taste the clams at a really nice consistency not too thin, not too thick and I didn't even have to add any salt to it. It was just really tasty. When the clam trotter was delivered, I happened to look at what other plates were on the serving tray ready to go out in one of them happen to be this phenomenal salmon dish. I asked the gentleman what it was and he said it was his favorite dish on the menu, so of course had to try it the salmon dish absolutely out of this world the glaze on it side. It came with it. Everything just fit really well together and y'all that plate was clean by the time it went back. This place is definitely on my shortlist as I really would like to try some of their other plates again that salmon and the clam chowder really made an impression and highly rate this place if you're looking for a good seafood place in Austin. The vibe of the restaurant was laid-back, but also very open, clean setting clean lines plenty of light and they even had really clean restrooms. The staff also was very pleasant and friendly with every one I interacted with.

I was very hungry! I thought of ordering something else from the menu, but the plate of calamari was so plentiful, enough for a full meal. It was served with a dipping sauce, lemon and jalapeño. Very tasty! The waitress was nice enough to take our picture and was there on time to refill my water glass. I was also very thirsty from the run! I loved the experience there. I will go back for brunch and perhaps more fried calamari.

But we were seated immediately and the staff seemed nice. Now for the action...THE FOOD Drinks 5/10: lots of ice, no real flavor Andouille & cheddar hush puppies 6/10: these had a nice flavor to them and they were fresh and hot when they came out. They weren't too greasy which was nice. The sauce it came with was OK. It wasn't my favorite though. Redfish and crab 5/10: I feel like the menu duped me. On the menu it says the fish is pan seared however my fish had a crust on it. Not a pan fried...it had crust as if they coated it....a literal crust. I did green beans instead of asparagus. The green beans were a little overcooked, but they were seasoned well and had great flavor. I'm not really a fan of warm tomatoes, but it added something different to the green beans for me. TLC signature crab boil 8/10: good portions, flavor was good. French fries 4/10: ketchup saved these fries. Too much parsley and lacked flavor. Plus they were not hot.

Outside there's a cute playground, gated, for the younger kiddos. Perfect for those who want to keep the kids occupied but also enjoy a snacky snack and a drink. There are plenty of gluten free options, and we ended up getting the Yardbird Chicken Sandwich on a gluten free bun, a complimentary Reuben sandwich on a gluten free bun, fish and chips, and a burger for the kiddo. All of them were great! Hubby enjoyed the fish and chips and the spray bottle with malt vinegar! Such a fun touch, nice and crispy, and the chips were crunchy and delicious. I actually really liked my chicken sandwich. While it looks standard, it was such a good bite, super filling, and since gluten free, I got a side salad which was nice and simple and light. The Reuben was GREAT! I was so excited I could have it since on a gluten free bun. The corned beef wasn't super greasy or heavy or too salty which I really appreciated, and the aioli was great to balance out all other parts of the sandwich. The slaw, pickles, everything were all so good, and definitely worth getting in the future! And our kiddo demolished the burger in a heartbeat! Add some great service - super kind, funny, and made me feel so safe eating there with an allergy. He was great, and even though he was busy, he did such a great job coming and checking in! We also had a pint of Lazarus Rice Lager which has been treated and is consumable for those with a gluten allergy (not Celiac)! I love Lazarus beers so much, especially this rice lager! So light and perfect on a hot day! We would definitely come back any time! Defintely worth the stop!

I stopped today with my husband and absolutely LOVED it, I'm definitely gonna be back!!…read moreBut let me tell you more! The indoor is very beautiful and smells like cinnamon and apple (a scent that I love), especially going towards the bathrooms. Theres a bar section with plenty of seating and the room inside the restaurant is overall very spacious. I didn't see much of the indoor as I decided to sit outside in the patio. Although being during the Texas summer, the patio has plenty of (very powerful) fans! The view of the green belt next to the restaurant is amazing, and there is also an outdoor bar, which gives impeccable vibes. We ordered two starters and had plenty of food! My husband ordered the Barbacoa Stackers (slow roasted barbacoa, refried black beans, Jack cheese, JAK slaw, Cotija cheese) I personally loved them! The meat was tasty and juicy, the black beans were perfectly cooked and everything was so rich in flavor. Definitely a 10/10! I ordered the Homemade Buttermilk Biscuit, served with honey & seasonal fruit flavored butter (with a side of yummy bacon) Today they had strawberry flavor, and there was even strawberry jam. I have to be honest, THE BEST biscuits I've ever had in my life! And I love me some good biscuits! They were buttery and crumbly to the right point! The strawberry butter with the strawberry jam was the perfect combo! We were told the biscuits are made fresh every morning, and I love that! It was definitely a 1000/10! We also got some chips and salsa. Chips are very crunchy, and the salsa is spicy to the right point! Now I'm building my tolerance with the spicy and this salsa was really yummy, and can build up the spice! The waiter who served it to us, brought it over in a small mason jar and emptied it in the little container for our table, which was something I've never seen done like this. Definitely appreciated it! Makes me think they make their own salsa (forgot to check on that!) They also gave us a complimentary pita bread with pimento, and it was delicious! The pita bread was very crunchy and salty to the right point! They even gifted me a portion of peach and strawberry cobbler, topped with ice cream, for my birthday and it was insane! The flavor was perfectly sweet and mixed with the ice cream was very refreshing and still warm and melting in my mouth! Probably one of the best cobblers I've ever had! And keep in mind, we got here that we weren't feeling super hungry, and yet we were able to appreciate every single bite cause it was so good!! Last but not least - Ali, our server, was incredible! She was so nice throughout the whole dining experience and made sure we had everything we needed. She was so kind to ask if I could add peach puree to my freshly squeezed lemonade (which is a 10/10), and even made sure I had plenty of strawberry butter for my biscuits. We definitely took some leftovers home and I can't wait to have the remaining biscuit in the morning!
