My boyfriend was looking for a 2017 Chevy Camaro with the 1 LE package and we couldn't get one from Chevy so instead he decided to look for a older model either 2013 or 2015. Turns out he found the 2015 one in Kiefer Kia. He gave his information via website, couple days later he got a call from WHISPER asking if he was still interested in the car. He mentioned to her that we lived in California and were planning to go to Oregon to have fun and to check out the car if it was still available that weekend. Whisper told him she would call him if the car was still available Friday. Fortunately, Whisper followed up on the call and told my boyfriend that the car was still available so we decided to make a trip to Oregon early Saturday morning and we got there that same Saturday which was New Year's Eve. Our first stop was at Eugene, OR and made our way to Kiefer Kia. As soon as we walked to Kiefer Kia we were greeted with a smile from the receptionist. We asked the Receptionist that we wanted to check out the car and the person that helped us was Whisper. Though Whisper wasn't working that day CHRISTINE showed us the car and let my boyfriend test drive the car. After the test drive we started the paperwork with Christine and though they were short staffed that day Christine did some awesome multitasking, she answered phone calls while doing our paper work and she was helping other customers fill out their paper work. Afterwards Christine became busy and told us that MARISSA was going to help us finish the rest of the paperwork to us that was not a problem. We knew they were short staffed and my boyfriend and I understood that it is extra work when short staffed. After we got approved to get the car, BRYCE helped us with signing paperwork. Had to take my car in for a recall fix. The gentlemen in the service department were very friendly and personable. They made me aware that I had never taken advantage of my free oil change when I purchased the vehicle several years earlier and offered to take care of it today. My recall fix and oil change was taken care of in the estimated time they provided and I was very happy. Went to attempt selling a car, 2017 Chevy Cruze with ~15,000 miles on it, went on a test drive with the car salesman "Kevin" (from New York) and the car performed well, sales associate drove over the speed limit (I rode along) and then made a hard-stop which unnecessarily wore down tread on the tires. I offered the car at ~$10,000 and was initially willing to take their offer of $9,500 however after receiving paperwork that looked as if it was scanned off an original document written in crayon, there was a buy order for my car at $9,500 and the second page of paperwork presented, was a buy order, get this, agreeing to pay in full at $9,500 in exchange for a 2003 Mazda-3 with ~186,000 miles on on the paperwork. I looked at the paperwork, looked at the salesman, questioned why he had the wrong model, year, and mileage on the paperwork, while also pressuring me to sign the deal, and saying I could return in 3 business days to collect a check for $9,500. This appears to have been a scam to attempt a bait-and-switch car title transfer which would have traded two cars of extremely unequal value with no monetary compensation to equalize the deal. This same sales/buy strategy could potentially bankrupt vulnerable customers, elderly, people seeking to sell their car for an honest deal deserve better than such dishonest business practice. Beware of this company. They employ underhanded and deceptive practices to get people though the door. Kiefer Kia sent out "sweepstakes" scratcher flyers to advertise their dealer fair in Roseburg. When scratched, the flyers imply that you've won a pretty big cash prize in attempt to lure you to their fair. However, when you get there, they have sleazy, pushy salesmen try to talk you into buying. The "winning" flyers are not real winners. Rather, they have the supposed winning codes on-site. The "jackpot" scratch-offs are of no relevance. A total waste of time. I would not deal with a company that uses such deceptive practices to bring people in. Here's a novel idea -- how about being honest instead? Maybe draw people in with food and entertainment...Or maybe that's too much cost and effort? Is false pretenses easier? Zero stars - purchased a Kia Niro from Kiefer 08/2017. Had already done the research and knew what car we wanted so didn't experience annoying sales people. First frustration was with the finance dept. We were paying for the car not financing. It took over 3 hours to finalize the deal! Second frustration was with service - made an appointment for warranty work and oil change. Took it in at designated time and overheard someone say that appointment was deleted. Service advisor assisting me didn't seem concerned so I left the car expecting it back by 2 pm. Called after 2 and was told the tech was having issues with the relay. Told them I would come get it the next day. Called in the morning - tech still having issues with the relay - they will call when it is ready. They called about 12 - car is ready. I arrive about 1:15 and they are just about done with tire rotation - 15 min. wait. Recommended air filter and cabin air filter - both very dirty. I informed them that those were both (supposedly) replaced by this dealership 3000 miles ago. They also mentioned odd tire wear - "too dangerous to rotate possibly due to lack of rotation - oh wait I guess we did rotate them" - again informed them tire rotation was also supposedly at previous visit. As it stands I have no idea if my air filters were ever replaced or if they are actually dirty now. Are my tires "dangerous"? I love my Niro but would never purchase another car from this dealership and will avoid servicing there in the future. I have absolutely no faith or trust in their ability to repair or communicate concerns regarding my car. read more

Don't go to this place. We were ready to buy a van we'd test-driven, with money in hand, when manager Russ was so dishonest and rude to us that we will never set foot in this place again. I was buying the van for my wife as a birthday present. At issue was an additional $400 fee for "shadow etching" which we'd never heard of and that my wife did not want. Russ: 1. Said the ad we'd seen indicated there were "additional fees" beyond DMV fees that we were required to pay Kiefer, implying my wife was stupid for not seeing this. We later re-checked the ad and it did not say there were additional fees. 2. Indicated Kiefer can charge whatever they want in these additional fees, which means the advertised price is not the real price. 3. Told us Kiefer is the only dealership in Eugene to charge for "etching." 4. Told my wife that she would be a fool to "let her pride get in the way" of buying the van at the higher price. This was the deal-breaker for us. Why would I buy a van for my wife as a birthday present if she can't keep her pride and dignity intact while doing so? 5. On the way out Russ issued a snide and sarcastic "Have a nice birthday" to mock my attempt to buy the van for a birthday present. 6. Our teenage son responded, "That's no way to sell a vehicle, my man," to which Russ responded, "I'm not your man, boy!" 7. When we got home we researched "shadow etching." The AARP says the value of etching is "dubious." A law firm advertises lawsuits regarding etching, which costs only $10 for the dealers to apply. You can buy a kit to etch the windows yourself for $18. I have never written a Yelp review before, but thought you should be aware that if you don't go along with Kiefer's deceptive practices, Russ may insult your family members in retaliation. So we went there to look at some of there cars under 10,000. They ended up showing us a gmc Denali that they had just got in, they had not done any safety tests on it or even clean it out. So we took it back in a couple days later so they could do the safety test and clean the car. They did the safety test and it had a broken motor mount, we ened up having to fix that our self bc they wanted us to pay for them to fix it. They also didn't clean it out at all. So when we got it back we noticed that the windows did not work or any of the power seats so we had to take it in once again the fixed the windows and the sheets but broke the passenger mirror. We also payed them to service the transmission when they would have done that anyways if they had done the safety test before they sold it to us. So like a week after they serviced the transmission it blew up so we had to take it to a shop. Now they won't answer our call and I'm over it there just wanna make money they don't give a shit abt customer satisfaction. I would not recommend going here ever again. I waited to write this review to give them a chance to make things all right but they won't. Purchased a $20,000 car last Oct. We knew we had the credit to qualify for the current promotion but they never even tried. They also changed the price of the car more than once. When we got all the letters in the mail from the banks they ask to finance us, the prices didn't match on each quote. That's just shady! In the end they used the bank we ask them to use so if they would have just started where we asked them it would have saved 4 hours and inquiries on our credit report! Once we finally agreed on the price, we asked for the second set of keys. The lady from the Internet department told us that the owners daughter runs that department and must have misplaced them. We would have them mailed to us asap. After a month I called and was told for a second set of keys it would be $450! So for $20,000 you get one key apparently because they lie about the other one. My wife and I are ready for another car purchase and will be avoiding them completely!! read more

DO NOT go to Kiefer Kia. Horribly slimey general manager who said in front of myself and my partner that we should expect what we got, they are after all car salesmen, and they will try to make as much money as they can. Purchased a Ford Fiesta 11/2014. 3 days after purchase I called to ask why my car was rattling and not shifting into 2nd properly. I was placed on hold for about 5 min to be told by service that my car was recalled because of a bad transmission. They knowingly sold me a recalled car and sold it to me 4,000 dollars over blue book. I should've checked. It also took me 6 months to get my registration because they didn't have a title. They sold this car without a title. In addition they slipped a extended warranty into my paperwork for an extra 2,000 but didn't say anything about it. My fault, I signed it all. I have been financing cars for 20 years and have NEVER had this kind of shady experience. I'm writing this review over 2 years later because I'm still dealing with this transmission problem and so upside down that I can not get rid of it. If you are trusting like I am, do not choose Kiefer Kia. read more

First off they should not get a star at all, and i will tell you why i traded a perfectly good running well kept nice car in cause i needed something with better gas mileage and i thought i was getting a great deal well i was wrong first off i was guaranteed that i would leave in a car the same day and 2 weeks after filling out the paper work i got my car this is after the salesman Steve Dunn backed it into the building so the bumper had to be repainted and the abs sensor was supposively replaced but when i went to go get it the light was still on he said i can bring it in to be replaced again but i don't want them touching my car again especially after being lied to by Steve and his manager jj when i asked if it was mechanically sound they said they put so much money into that car to make sure it was in great mechanical shape but apparently they didn't check the alternator cause 3 weeks after having it i had to buy a new one which they refused to to anything about but even before that the first day i brought it home the passenger side front bumper was popped out causing a good sized chip of paint to come off revealing bondo so we took it to a body shop and were told all the body clips were broken off and my bumper is being held on by 1 bolt which once again they are doing nothing to help me out with other than offering to charge me to repair it and the body shop guy said he would've been fired if he sent someone home in this car! And then i figured i might as well get my oil changed even though my sticker from them said they did it at that point i obviously didn't trust them so after getting my oil changed they checked the transmission fluid and showed me that it was nice and brown rather than pink and when i told them that they said they don't do that even though they do like a however many point inspection so once again i get to pay for that but back to how bad this dealership is when i picked my car up i noticed the temp tag seemed wrong so i asked Steve about it and he said oh ya it doesn't expire till next month so the next week he called me to tell me that was the wrong temp tag that one was just for taking it off the lot and he promised me he would personally bring me the correct one so 3 days before it expired still nothing so i called him and was told he'd mail it to me along with 2 other people who said they'd get one mailed out so as you can guess i never got one in the mail and i was now driving with an expired temp tag i called and spoke to someone who made Steve drive me my correct one after driving 3 days with an expired one very professional so after having all these problems i was told to call the gm russ and so i did many times with no answer and left my number every time and to this day have yet to hear from him once again very professional. So if you are reading this please take my advice and don't get roped in by these people i was either lied to or ignored by every single person there. My question is are they so desperate to sell a car that they will just throw you into a car that they know is in shitty condition knowing that I've got kids and drive an extensive amount for work. The answer is yes cause they don't give a shit about anyone so long as they can send you home in piece crap car and put money in there pocket i hope you will listen to me and choose a different car lot and be sure to research it very well cause i don't want someone to have the experience i have had read more

Kiefer kia ripped me off. They sold me a broken car. When I told them I needed a reliable vehical and told them I was planning to start a family. They won't give me my money back. I'm two months pregnant. And now I have no car and I'm $5000.00 in the hole. And still owe on this car. So now my credit score will be bad as well. Kiefer kia will ruin your life just when things are starting to go so well. This car has water in the engine and it could blow up at any time. I've only had the car four a few months and it is completely falling apart. I havent even put over 3000 miles on it, and the moter mounts need to be replaced. One of the back rims is so badly bent up that it shouldn't be driven on. And they tried to say those were things I had don't to it. There is no way they didn't know about these things before they sold it to me. Don't trust these guys. read more

Kiefer mazda did a yo yo scam on me. I am a disabled veteran, and this was my first time buying a new vehicle. I showed them my paperwork that shows my disability rating and my ailment. They wanted to see this paperwork. I signed paperwork and they let me take the car home. They then told me to comeback a week later to sign more paperwork and it was an increase in my payments. I knew car sales people arent the most honest, but they kept thanking for my service they treated me so nicely and then they screwed me. I feel pretty stupid and this situation has given me so much stress. I am rated at 100% with PTSD secondary depression and psychotic tendencies, and it got a lot worse after this situation. If you go there and see a guy name Richard, tell him you want to talk to someone else. If Brian Depalma be very very careful, he is the biggest snake of them all. read more

I went there to test drive a car and to see what kind of deal they would offer me. I liked the car. When they found out that I wanted to see what kind of deal they could offer (and that I was not ready to buy), they thru a guilt trip at me saying that I had told the salesman that I was ready to buy. I never told him that. Earlier, I had told him I needed to finish my taxes before I bought anything. They actually tried to tell me that I had said I was ready to buy. HA HA HA. They asked me what other kinds of cars I was interested in. I told them and they began to bad mouth those other vehicles. Never mind that Consumer Reports, Edmunds, Truecar, and Kelly's blue book speaks very favorably of the other makes/models I was considering. I was polite the whole time but I really wanted to scream. This review is for the service department. I take my kia that I brought from there in for oil changes. I did not purchase the lifetime oil changes, but they have a good deal and do an inspection. If there is a recall, they will take care of it for you. I also love the buy 4 get 1 free oil change punch card. the manager is great and will take care of you if there is a problem. All of the staff that I have talked to in the service department are helpful and aren't pushy parts salesmen. I plan to always get oil changes there. read more
