Overall customer service! My son is 24 years old and went down to this dealership to buy a used car first time car buyer and his experience has been nothing but horrible! They took his down payment off $500 a month ago and then said the car he wanted was not available anymore and tried to get him in a very much more e car he can't afford. They still have not given back his down payment they are saying he will have to wait for a check which can take upto 30 days!! Very bad customer service especially since my son paid with cash, give him his cash back he should not have to wait for it. What a horrible experience for a first time buyer. Wish I had checked the reviews before buying from them. Bought a $60,000 vehicle from them only to receive the worst customer service after purchase. If you're looking to spend money on a vehicle and hope to get it from a business that is stand up and does right by their customers/clients, go elsewhere. I've taken my vehicle in for normal "new" vehicle things (recalls and maintenance). It's more often than not a bad experience. Not called when the parts are in (like they advised they would) or not called when my cars done. You constantly have to stay on top of them. Recently took my car in to replace a seat belt. They had to take off the ceiling panel partially. I get my car back after it's "fixed." Assuming everything's fine since they didn't tell me anything was wrong. Just to find out later when I'm putting something into my trunk that my ceiling panel isn't attached in the back anymore. It had two spots for obvious clips that were not put back in and the panel was hanging down. On top of that, it had grease marks all over the tan ceiling panel (cars a 2022 so definitely wasn't like that). Also, I find the clips, on the floor of my trunk, broken. So now I had to call and schedule for them to fix what they had done making me take a third trip back for service for the one original seat belt issue. When I explain what happened they assured me they would have me "taken care of" (And I absolutely point out how dirty they got my ceiling panel). Fast forward to being "taken care of" by ol' trusty kiefer Kia, they ordered after market clips that are black to attach the panel, while the original ones they broke were tan (like the color of the panel!), and don't even bother to clean the greasy hand prints off of it. On top of that I had to have my wife and kids take the car in and they had to wait while it was serviced, again, assuming they would "take care of me" since this is their wrong to right. They take two hours to clip the two ceiling clips in while my wife and toddlers are stuck in the lobby. So, right off I notice that all of there cars are marked up $3999.00. Broached a salesperson about the obscene mark up and am blithely told that the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) is what they pay for the vehicle and the mark up is their profit. That's simply a lie of epic proportions folks, you start at MSRP and deal from there. Sad and blatantly dishonest. I bought from these folks years ago and got a terrific deal and a great car. I've emailed the service manager AND the general manager with no response. I am a long time customer of Keifer Kias. I have been bringing my car in for an oil change the past few years and haven't had many issues. This past Saturday was not the case. I had a 10 am appointment to get my oil changed and by the time I decided to walk next door at 11, my car still hadn't moved from where I parked it. It took two hours for Samantha to message me saying my car was ready asking if I wanted a wash and vac. I indicated I did and she said it would be an additional 20 min. I get there to find out that your prices have DOUBLED and what I used to pay for an oil change at $30 some dollars was now over $60!! On top of that whoever moved my car two feet to the bay COMPLETELY jacked up my seat settings. I get my car and notice it had not been vacuumed. I asked Samantha if it was supposed to be a wash and vac an she said just a wash, even though TWICE in her text to me she stated wash AND vac. I called and she apologized and asked if I wanted to come back. I indicated to her I didn't have two more hours to spend. I won't be back. The service was subpar at best. They lied on the sheet stating my car was done at 11:30 when in fact her text saying it was done was TWO HOURS after my original appointment time at noon. What is the point of making an appointment if it's going to take TWO HOURS for an oil change and a vacuum that didn't happen? Please pass this along to the service department. I brought my car in for an oil change and while I was waiting in the waiting room a lady was having a rough time with them. Essentially they told her a part was in and she should come in (she lives an hour away apparently) and when she came in and was there for a while they told her they didn't actually have the part in. She was upset but still calm and kind and they didn't really seem to care. Flash forward a bit and a gentleman comes in and kneels near me with no introduction of any sort but asks me if I was a full detail for like 450$. Lol no I don't. Anyway. I go to check out and the man who talked to the lady made a joke to me about her saying "you're not gonna yell at me now are y'all? Hahaha" and I just straight up told him that it was super unprofessional and rude to talk to a customer about another customer. Rude as fuck. Not mentioned before but when the man offered me a full detail he showed me a receipt for my oil change that said it would be 76$ but when I went to the desk to pay they said 98$?????? Excuse me? They changed it but that was odd to me. Flash forward a day or two later and I notice something odd about my car. There's little micro scratches all in the paint like someone has sanded my car. So I naturally called and asked what they used to wash cars and they said A BRUSH. WHO THE FUCK washes a car with a brush????? I took my car in for service on Monday and was told the part they needed would have to be ordered. They said it would be here Wednesday. Come Wednesday, they said they got the wrong part, it would be here the following day, and then the car would be ready. The next day (today) came and I texted the advisor to check on the car. I disn't get a reply over an hour later, so I called and was greeted by an advisor who assured me the car was ready to be picked up. After picking the car up, I quickly realized the problem was NOT fixed and I called to tell them this. The guy on the phone told me he would check with the tech and call back.. but it's now over an hour past close and I never got a call back. Edit: After taking the car in to get fixed elsewhere, it was concluded that Kiefer Kia replaced the ignition coil on cylinder 4 of the vehicle. The check engine code clearly showed the issue was cylinder 3 so I fail to see how this is anything but negligence on Kiefer Kia's part. read more

Most dishonorable place of business I have ever dealt with. No integrity or consideration for what is right. I leased a 2021 Kia Sorento. 3 days later in a horrible turn of events, both myself and my partner were laid off on the same day from different companies. My first call was to Ed, finance person at Kia, to explain what just occurred and ask yo cancel the lease. He said he would look into it and call me the next day. No phone call, so I took the car back yo the lot yo cancel the lease. This was on 4/8/21. I called Huydai/Kia lease finance offices about the lease and the confirmed the dealership had not yet been funded, so no money was paid yo them, except my $6000 downpayment. Ed denied this and stated they already received the ACH transfer. I have this whole conversation on video. I said zi was going to leave the car and Ed said, "If ypu leave it here and it gets vandalized, you are liable." I, of course, was afraid yo leave it. I went back on 4/13/21 to speak to the General Manager, Russ West, I asked yo cancel the lease, he reassured me they could figure out and get back to me. I then played phone tage for near 20 days, and suddenly a guy named Bryce, the sales General Manager, called me yo say they would buy back the car, but I would not get my dienpayment back. I continued to explain and compelling the dealership that the lease should be cancelled. Now they are offering yo give me $2600 of my downpayment back because it is a used car snd depreciated in the 3 days I had it before asking yo cancel the lease. Today, I spoke with Russ West again and shared that there is a process with Kia finance at the discretion of the dealership. Russ acknowledged that was true and flat out told me he was, "Never going yo unwind a car deal, ever." And like the people who lost thier homes in the forest fires, just cut your loss snd move on. So he never planned to cancel the lease, but to keep my downpayment, take the car back and sell it again, because they know Kia Sorento are hard to get because inventory is low. If they had cancrlled the lease on 4/8/21, no money would have been paid snd I would have gotten my diwnpaument back. They lied, were deceptive, cost me time and anguish while trying yo figure out how yo survive a double income layoff. No one there wanted or will ever do therigjt thing without huge interventions. In my quest for a brand new 2021 Kia Soul, I found this dealer 2 hours away that had the color and trim package that I wanted. I was willing to find transportation to Eugene to get this car. The salesman wasn't at all interested in making a deal since the inventory was low on the 2021 EX, but had the audacity to add an additional $708 to the MSRP of the car to cover his corporate tax rate increase and the additional taxes from the county since this dealer does over $1 million in business per year. "We're not going to sell this car on the cheap" was what they said. And also "you can thank our wonderful Governor for the added taxes." So I bought a car from another dealer and was not charged any additional luxury taxes that the dealer is supposed to pay, not the customer. I strongly suggest you go to a dealer who falls under the $1million per year in revenue. read more

I took my daughter to Keifer Kia to look and possible buy the Kia Soul. The salesman was great and very friendly. The price started at 20k. She really wanted to check what the monthly payment would be and see how low she could get it. My daughter decided to think about it and 2 minutes later the sale man came back and the price was 19k. She was pretty adamant about waiting and thinking about it and then the general manager came over with and offered car for 500 of cost which was 18k. Even though My daughter did not buy a car yesterday, The dealership seemed fins and the staff seemed friendly enough. It was time for an oil change on my 2018 Kia Soul. I called. The service tech asked if it had a 30K check? I said you have the records?! He said that it didn't. He told me it needed fluids to be replaced. I asked the cost? He said about $1000. I made the appointment. I found that I had a coupon for a free wax job. Upon arrival to the service department Damian took my information. He then presented me with different option. $1600, $1400 & $1000. He didn't explain the differences between them. I choose the $1000. He said the car would be washed and vacuumed as well. I said I have a coupon for a wax job. He said he didn't have anybody there to do that. He also said it would be 3 hours! I choose to wait there. The waiting room was a joke. It was combined with the show room and where the sales Teams were taking potential customers info! The "coffee bar" was the biggest joke!! There was a filthy popcorn machine there. Not in use. An assortment of teas, with no hot water and coffee with no cups!! Damian came out to tell me my battery was no good. I said really. The car has 32k miles. He said a new one would be $389 with a $50 install??!! I told him I would pass. Upon completion of the service, we made an additional appointment for the wax job. I would have hoped that he offers to pick up my car. But instead, I would have to make time to take it there, I work as well. I paid. Damian didn't walk me through the services that were performed. He did walk me out to the car. It was washed, but not vacuumed. After I left, I went to Point S to do a load test on the battery. They said everything was fine. I received a letter from Kiefer Kia offering to purchase my 2014 Kia Soul "even if I owed more than the loan was worth" I went to the dealership with the intent to trade in my current Kia and purchase a 2018. Before going in on Sunday I received pre approval from my bank and got the pay off amount on my vehicle. I gave the sale guy this information before we even sat down. After being told they could do that, running my credit and spending an hour and a half of wasting my time I was told they would not pay more than my Kia was worth, (it's in prestine condition) and they offered me a loan that no one in their right mind would accept, not to mention no bank would fund. We have been waiting to have our engine replaced after seizing up at only 80k miles and that there is 17 cars waiting in front of us to have engines replaced. These cars are crap. On top of that, they have been leading us on telling us months ago that it will only take 2 weeks. We call every other week to check on the status and they tell us the same thing, just 2 more weeks. We have a new born baby and need means to get around with NO help from Kiefer, they lie to us over and over. He was cold called to bring his car in for apraisal, was taken advantage of of the trade in and then sold a car he couldn't possibly afford at a predatory interest rate.I was assured by Rod, Russ and Eric that we would be able to resolve this problem. Since that discussion the dealership (Russ and Rod) and the dealer group (Eric) have failed to contact me as they agreed to. These people employ unethical business practices like bait and switch, predatory trade in offers, inflated pricing and predatory interest rates. I had been looking for an SUV for the past week when I found one at Keifer Kia that I liked. I inquired about the vehicle, asking for its history and what not. They ran my information to acquire a loan for the vehicle, about 10 different times. Other dealerships ran only once, so now I had about 14 hits for credit. I didn't find out until a month later when I received letters in the mail. They told me the price was great and had been lowered by about 5000. I researched after I left and saw that the "extremely discounted price" was still on the high side. When they presented my loan information they had lowered the price by about 2000 more for my loan to go through. When signing my documents later, my friend looked them over and saw that the gap insurance was far too high. They claimed it was correct. Later, after I had the vehicle in another state, as I travel for work, they contacted me saying that the loan documents needed to be resigned, as the gap insurance was too high. On the phone, the guy who I talked to spoke very negatively about the guy in their finance department, which I found really unprofessional. They said they would send me new documents to sign. I told them I would be going out of town and they would need to have them to me by a specific date, they didn't. I was gone long enough for the documents to be returned to them by the post office. When I returned, they had impounded my vehicle. Thinking it had been a mistake, I called all over looking for my vehicle, even the police in case it was stolen. I found it at an impound lot. I called the dealership, they directed my call to the owner who yelled at me, put me on hold came back and was calm, then talked at me some more. I repeated the conversation that I had with another person in the company, about me being out of town. The owner yelled at me some more and threatened me. Then told me that the vehicle would be released to me after I had paid the hundreds of dollars to get it out of impound. I was almost in tears. I had just come back from a work trip to find that they didn't uphold their end in providing me accurate documents to sign, sending the new documents on time and had practically stolen my vehicle. I began contacting lawyers. After them calling me multiple days, and the owner yelling at me more times, then being transferred to a friendly woman who worked there, who actually tried to help me resolve the issue, they agreed to overnight me new documents, that I returned immediately and my vehicle would be released. I ended up paying $100 of the $600 impound fees. I HAD DONE NOTHING WRONG AND POINTED OUT A POTENTIAL MISTAKE TO PREVENT ANY ISSUES. I erroneously believed that "Certified Pre-owned" meant the vehicle was going to be in better condition than most dealerships. Im not the most knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles, and didn't notice that it had been in an accident. I found out about 2 months later when having the oil changed. Im not sure why I was suprised that a dealership that had already been aggressive and rude to me was also deceptive. About 3 months later the vehicle broke down in a snowy area, where it took hours to get a tow truck. The mechanic said that there were many issues that usually were prevented with preventative maintenance, looking at the documentation from the dealership, they said all of these things had been completed within months of me purchasing the vehicle. The mechanic claimed that was impossible. I took my vehicle to another mechanic who said the same thing. I saved all of the parts that needed to be replaced to show a mechanic friend back home, just to be sure, he said that everything looked like it hadn't been replaced in years and needed replacement. Overall, through my experience, I learned that Keifer Kia is dishonest, throws coworkers under the bus to clients (which is probably why a sales person told me he couldn't wait to be out of there), they rip people off at any possible moment and the owner has extreme mood swings (I hope he gets the mental health he needs). I enjoy my vehicle and am glad I have it, but if I had to do this all again, I would have gone with a different dealership. read more

I had my Kia towed in for a recall problem. It took them a month to fix it. Not because of parts but because they wanted me to pay to get a recall item fixed. I had to call Kia corporate office to force Keefers to fix my car on warranty. I live 45 miles from the dealership. I was going to change the brake pads this morning only to find out that they kept my lug nut key. DO NOT BUY OR HAVE ANY WORK DONE WITH THIS PLACE!! Afrer being contacted by a Kia salesperson who told me they got my information of off Facebook?? My phone did not stop ringing. Text msgs, phone calls, they went on and on. I finally decided to look into what they had for me. They got me to commit to a time, not just stop by whenever, spend a couple of hours with them, then I had to leave for another commitment I had. I had told them what I needed for it to work for me, which it seems after they put a hard inquiry on my credit, they must've determined it wouldn't work out bc I never heard from my salesperson again despite being told otherwise. Another salesperson had been msging me, asking me what was up. I eventually responded and told them that I was just left hanging, so they asked if they could look into it for me. I agreed and they asked some questions about what I needed to make it work. Within a couple of days, they got back to and asked if I could come down to work out a deal. I arrived and after about an hour was offered a deal so far out of that which I had been requesting. I want looking to get myself into financial trouble. They didn't mind if I did. I left the lot wondering why I had wasted so much time and what the person msging me had actually looked into. They worked really hard to just make a deal, despite making a happy customer. When it comes time to buy, I will be going out of town, if I am to visit Kia again. read more

They're the worst! Took my Sedona in for oil change and tire rotation. I marked my tires so I could tell if rotation was done as I suspected the last one wasn't done. Of course I get it back and they haven't been rotated. I called them and reported the problem to the guy who answered. He says he'll check with the technician (Christian) who LIED and said he performed the rotation himself. They then ask me how I know it wasn't and I explain the marks. Told them I can never trust them again, to have the service manager call me. They offer to fix it if I bring it back in, but there's no way Christian is touching my car ever again. And the manager never called me back. Now I have a part needing replacement due to recall and I'm literally sick to my stomach thinking about taking my car back in there. I received a sensor upgrade letter for my 2016 Kia Soul, September 2021 from Kia consumer affairs. I contacted Keifer the first week of October and they scheduled me for the sensor upgrade on November 2nd. The letter stated that once the sensor is installed that if anything happened such as engine failure, it would be covered under warranty. On the morning of November 2nd while driving to the dealership engine failure happened and my vehicle was out of commission. I had it towed to the dealership. A couple days later they notified me that the sensor had been changed and they were waiting for Kia to authorize the new motor. After another day or two I was notified that they did not approve the motor and I would have to pay for it. I told the service advisor it shouldn't be my responsibility since the dealership couldn't get me scheduled for 4 weeks to do the upgrade. The dealership told me that once Kia Tech support makes a decision it can't be reversed. I contacted Kia consumer affairs myself and that's another nightmare, but I did find out that the district service manager for Kia was never contacted about my situation and therefore there was no attempt to correct this situation for me. A new motor was ordered per my approval and I just had to wait until completed. After 8 weeks the dealer called me and said they put the new motor in but it had failed so a second motor had to be ordered! 10 weeks later I received a phone call that my car was complete. When I arrived at the dealership annoyed on how long it took and that I would be paying almost $5000 they gave me paperwork and it all said no charge and warranty. I was stoked that Kia consumer affairs came through! 4 days later the car had another complete engine failure and I had to have it towed back to dealership again. They told me that they were putting a 3rd motor in and that they made a mistake with my paperwork and that I owed $4800 for my first motor. Today June 1st I picked up my car finally after another 13 weeks and when I got inside my car it had been left open and a bunch of items were stolen and the car was thrashed inside!! I marched right back inside and was told by the service manager there's nothing they could do and for me to make a list and they would look into it. Hopefully the car last longer than 4 days this time. I filed a claim with BBB during this process and the dealer claimed at the time I scheduled this whole thing they were having employee issues. Again how is this my issue and requires me to pay up $4800 for their problems. I buy new cars for myself and my family every few years and have never dealt with a dealership so bad as this one. They did put me in a rental car for half of the 7 months, was the only cool thing they did. I'm just blown away at how little this dealership cares about their customers. read more

Unbelievably horrible business tactics, false advertising, and a waste of a whole day. I inquired about this vehicle and requested better images, as the images on the website are very low quality, and as I live 2.5 hours out of town, I wanted to make sure the 2015 Hyundai Genesis was in good condition before driving over. The rep I spoke to on the phone said they would send some pictures, however, i missed a call and received a voicemail stating that there was already 20 images online. This was not helpful, so I called back and spoke to Brady who informed me that the car was in "immaculate" I specifically asked if there were any scratches, any 'curbage' to any of the rims, or anything else wrong with the vehicle. Brady informed me that he had double checked, and there was scratches to any of the wheels, or the car, I was appreciative of that, as I was driving from Bend to Eugene. I arrived to discover that one of the rims was pretty severely curbed up, the car had 3k more miles on it than advertised on the listing, and neither of the turn signals worked during the test drive. We returned to the car lot where i inspected the car further to find that the vehicle had been in an accident on the front right side of the vehicle, and had been painted over the gouges in the bumper, and 1 of the parking sensors had been replaced. None of this was listed in the vehicle history report, and the dealer was clearly trying to hid it. After discovering all of this, I made an offer for 24,000 from their asking price of 25,781. A mere 1,781 dollar offer lower than the asking price. My sales man (Bruce) who was very nice, went inside to talk to the sales manager, who came back to tell me that despite everything wrong with the vehicle, they would not budge in price on the vehicle at all. He explained that they made a mistake, and the manager had been driving the car for 2 months, and racked up the miles, but they forgot to update the listing, and they must have just overlooked all of the damage to the vehicle??? This is HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE business tactics, False advertising, and a complete and utter was of my whole day, not to mention a tank of gas driving over the pass. All of this could have been avoided they were simply honest about the condition of the vehicle to me over the phone. just an update for the public. after camping world lied to us, took us for a 2 year ride, destroyed my credit with tons of unnecessary hard enquiries after i did what they told me to to bring my credit score up which took the 2 years, they than told me, "you did what we asked and you got your credit score up more than we requested, but we didnt think you would because nobody ever does" unquote!!! now because of all the hard enquiries, i cant even finance a moped. do not trust this company, deception, lies and destruction. After I did what the requested me to do in order to finance there, they blew my credit up which gave me tons of hard enquiries which is now effecting my credit and now I cant even finance a vehicle at a beat up car lot. I had a gas guzzling European luxury car in constant need of expensive repairs. I wanted a practical used sedan. The staff at Kiefer Kia gladly took my car and turned it in to something wonderfully boring. It was a quick, easy transaction. Basically everything I could have wanted in a used car buying experience. I'm thrilled with my blase car. The complete dishonesty these people operate by is deplorable. My wife and I went in looking to buy a van for our family. We found what we wanted and, during the negotiation process, they actually tried to get me to sign a blank document, saying "we can fill that stuff in later." No thanks. I don't sign things unless it's already filled out. Common sense. Later, after we had given them all of our information in a painstakingly tedious fashion that they do it, we were able to finally leave with the van and head home. Days later, they called my wife and very rudely told her that she would have to return the van immediately. Apparently, they failed to dutifully enter the information we gave them, and because of that they said we would not be able to afford it and backed out of the deal. They said they had legal paperwork that the car was still theirs, and when I asked for that paperwork and a clear explanation in writing, they told us they don't owe us anything and to return the car or they would sue. I did not want to get a lawyer or have to deal further with these scumbags, so we just returned it at no loss. Later, I talked to people who said they had similar experiences with kiefer Kia... The only difference is that they had unfortunately signed that blank document, which ended up being a document agreeing to pay thousands in the event of that "recall" happening. I will never return to this lot, and please do yourself a favor and don't let your friends or anyone else shop there. read more

After the usual, slimy sales routine...got our Kiefer Kia Sedona... They refused warranty work, saying we didn't have a warranty. We purchased extended. Brought in for minor repairs, they kept it 4 hours, called us...nothing done. Jack door still falls off, arm rest still loose... Recently, the key became locked in the ignition...locked in the ACC position. They denied an issue existed...but, search it up, it's been an issue for around ten years. We took the vehicle to a local repair shop that did third party warranty, as we DO have and purchased the premium coverage. They gave him wrong part numbers, and told him they were not aware and never heard of such a thing. We will never buy from Kiefer Kia again. If you had good service with, bravo for you...you are not in the majority. read more

Some things came up and she was no longer looking for a car, so she told the salesman this. He told her that she wasted his time. They sent a card out in the mail that drew people into their establishment thinking that if certain numbers matched, they would get a new car. An 83-year-old lady, who could not begin to afford a $350 a month car payment, left with the car she didn't want and was put into financial difficulty. They use the excuse that the bank okayed her credit. The bank wasn't talking face-to-face with her, the car salesmen were. They took advantage of her. read more

After searching for a gently used car for a month and being in contact with many car salesman in the Portland area I was ready to give up due to their overpriced cars and overly zealous attitudes. Having never been in the market for a vehicle before, I didn't quite understand the "slimy car salesman" thing until some of my recent encounters with local dealers... until I stumbled upon Kiefer Kia on Autotrader.com. Working with Kiefer Kia was a breath of fresh air! The sales person that I communicated with was more than willing to negotiate online when she found out I wasn't in the area (I'm from the Portland metro area) and was able to get a price I was comfortable with accepted by their manager before I made the drive to see if the car was for me. Knowledgeable and straight-forward service is what I received and I got a great deal for the car I now own and love! I just had the worst experience in trying to buy my grand daughter a new Kia. This is not my first rodeo as I've owned 44 cars and over 30 were new purchases. It was like a circus dealing with three different salespeople, with three different prices, and answers. The interest rates quoted should be usurious. The very worst part was when I finally contacted management, they said they would all get together and call me back. That was Wednesday night. Unbelievable! And they outright LIED about the price! Between yelling matches with salesmen and arguing with their absolutely horrendous service department, it has been an experience I never want to have again in my life. After I purchased the vehicle, their service department, led by a man who wants nothing to do with customers other than to take their money, never once tried to help with the problem I had.
