I bought a 2001, Lexus RX 300 in July. The price was on the high side, but it seemed to be well kept, and with 109,000 miles on a platform shared with the Toyota Highlander, I felt confident that it would be worth it. I was mistaken. My purchase coincided with Joseph's (mgr.) wedding, and with many services closed or limited due to COVID-19, it took several days to close the deal and take delivery. Within 3 days, I started getting service/warning lights on the dash. I borrowed a code reader from Auto Zone, that identified a bad knock sensor. It was leaking oil in the driveway. I returned it to the lot for their mechanic to address the issues, and he replaced the valve cover gasket at no charge, but couldn't confirm the knock sensor problem. The warning lights had gone out, but I provided a printed copy of the code reader report. Even with the warning lights out, the vehicle should retain the service code information. It didn't take long for the warning lights to return, and it started running rough. Not satisfied with the mechanical service at this point, I took it to Hertz for service. Their initial estimate was over $1,600, so I called Autorama about returning it for a refund. I was told that they would accept it back, if the compression test results were bad. That test was good, so I let Hertz go to work on it. Nearly $1,500 later, with 2 new knock sensors, the corresponding wire harness, a new coil, and long overdue tune-up, it ran well for 2 whole months. The valve cover gasket wasn't the only source of leak. The power steering pump needs to be replaced, and I've gotten quotes of $450 to $650 or more for that little surprise. Hertz replaced both new knock sensors under warranty, and I drove it 3 or 4 miles before the same lights were back. I now have a code reader, and have been making frequent use of it with this cursed vehicle. I can reset the service codes, but they come back within a few minutes of driving. I can't say for sure that the dealership knew how much trouble this vehicle would be causing, but it remains the worst car purchase I've made, in nearly 45 years of driving. I'm currently waiting for an appointment with an automotive electrical specialist to determine whether the on-board computer is at fault. The Toyota dealership won't work on it, leaving Lexus service rates as the only factory dealership option. I should have known better. Now I do. read more

I can not say enough good things about Miguel and the service he provided to us! We drive up from out of town and with work schedules had to come after they were closed. Not only was he happy to meet us there late, but he ended up staying even longer because Covid made money transferring extremely difficult. We had to get creative and try quite a few things, Miguel was kind and professional the entire time. All of the cars on the lot looked great and we are extremely happy with our new-to-us Honda Pilot! I would never recommend this place to someone. They were misleading, sneaky, and hard to get ahold of. Despite all that I wanted to purchase a vehicle. The day they were supposed to show up they did not. They didn't reply to my calls or texts. They left me hanging when I was expecting to have a new vehicle. The lack of respect or customer service is disappointing. I'm glad I never purchased a car from them, my guess is they were hiding something. I came to Eugene in search of a used car and found one at auto Rama, several actually. They let me test drive as many as I wanted and I was super impressed by how clean all the cars were inside, outs side and under the hood. The guys were not pushy and gave me all the time I needed to make a choice. The day I went to make a purchase, I noticed the steering was off to the right, they took it for an alignment right there and then and I was able to drive my new Subaru back to southern Oregon later that day. Reader beware: This review is about to get extremely detailed.. If you don't feel like reading on, here are some highlights: False advertising of a vehicle in "Like New" condition, failure to make (numerous) repairs through their personal mechanic, dishonesty about said repairs, lying about covering costs, skirting of responsibility, lots of anger, and frustration. Initially, I was not going to leave a chronological review for this establishment. Upon receiving the dishonest response message, I feel as though I am obligated to do so now. In March of 2015 I sold my Volvo, and needed to find a vehicle fairly quickly. Not wanting a Swedish car anymore, I decided that a Subaru fit my needs exactly. I spent a few weeks shopping at used car dealers in the area, until I finally resorted to Craigslist. I saw Autorama's posting for a "Like New" 2006 Subaru Forester with "Low Miles." I jumped at this ad, and went to test drive the car at Autorama. The test drive went well, and I really liked the car, everything except this loud whistle that occurred every time I accelerated to about 3000 RPMs. We went back to the lot for further inspection. After chatting about the possibilities, we noticed that the car was leaking oil underneath the head gasket. This is a common problem with '06 Subaru models, and Brian said that he would take care of the issue. Brian replaced the timing belt, water pump, head gasket, and the cam & crankshaft seals, as well as put new tires on it. They also replaced the VALVE COVER GASKET. Great, I thought! I asked to bring the car to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection in order to see if there was anything else wrong. As it turns out, there was a small hole in the exhaust system causing the squealing. The fix would be replacing the entire exhaust, and my mechanic recommended that it wasn't really necessary to fix ASAP. We never tested the A/C unit, because I had already told him that I had tested the heat. Back on the lot, I brought the hole in the exhaust to their attention, I was told to "not worry about" a $200 fix, and I could do that on my own because I am purchasing the car in "As is" condition. When asked several times if there was anything else I should know about the car, the response was always the same, "No, not at all, this is a great car." That should have been my first red flag... I purchased the vehicle for $12,196.00 on March 27, 2015. I paid cash. On April 6, 2015, the power steering essentially crapped out. I had driven the car fewer than 100 miles at that point. I contacted Brian about it, and he said he would "help me out" by giving me his discounted rate at the mechanic. I paid $235.00 to replace the power steering pump (to this day, it still has issues). In July of 2015, again only after a few hundred miles of driving, I found out that the A/C did not blow cold air. I contacted them about fixing the air conditioner. I was told to use their mechanic yet again for the fix. I had the A/C serviced fo $60: replaced an o-ring and recharged with freon. The A/C blew cold air for approximately 2 days. At this point, I can not believe all of the repairs that have been done on this "Like New" car. These guys had to have known about some of these issues beforehand! I again contacted Brian that the A/C was not fixed, and expressed my concern that there may be a bigger issue with the A/C unit, and that possibly this was something they knew about. What a great family owned business, simply outstanding. I'm more than happy to add our experience to this list of great reviews! Car searching started off a little stressful and time consuming for my wife and I. We were looking for a very specific vehicle for her and decided a late model subaru outback was the perfect fit. I made phone calls, visited car lots, and spent endless time on craigs list looking throughout Medford, Roseburg, Eugene, Salem and Portland. Nothing except for waisted time and some added stress. While heading to check out a car in Eugene we passed by autorama and it quickly caught our attention. A selection of nice Subaru's! We started looking around and all of the cars had the prices and mileage listed in plain site. Small lot but clean cut with a very nice selection of vehicles and price ranges. I was worried we were going to be noticed by a salesman who would follow us around and push for a sale, but instead we met Joe. He let us know that we were free to ask for any set of keys and with that he let us explore. We became glued to one car in particular, unfortunately this one was well out of the budget we planned for and didn't we have any expectations of actually purchasing it. After some time of peaking through this cars windows he came out and handed us the keys. We thanked him and with permission took it for a spin around the block, even the part of firing it up felt great! When we got back we let him know that the car and price were both tops but unfortunately too far out of our price range. Without hesitation he accommodated us! We did not feel any pressure from him to buy a car at any time, friendly service was all we encountered. We left and came back a few days later to have it mechanically inspected. Again while we were inspecting it in the lot with my father he didn't linger around us, but made himself welcoming for any questions or concerns.When we asked a question he wasn't sure of, like whether or not the car had limited slip differential, he found out the answer for us within a few minutes. Didn't gloss over things, one car had a rebuilt title and it was the first thing he let us know when we asked about it. Even after we were set on making the purchase he realized it was missing a cover for the cargo area and told us we could have one from another vehicle that was for sale! Seeing my wife in her new car with a big smile on her face is something that doesn't have a price tag. I realize this review is rather lengthy but if it saves you the time of searching through craigs list or playing games with salesmen then it's worth it.
