Credit Concepts is a business that works with dealerships for car loans. Quite unprofessional, especially over the phone. They have that, "Im really awesome and your not" attitude. I've gone in plenty of times to make payments (Because they dont take plastic) and never have I once been greeted with a smile or a "How are you today". The front desk looks as if they hate their job, and it shows quite painfully. We were approved through our credit union to refinance the loan, and it was hell trying to get that process taken care of. Lag on their end for faxing documents and communication. The lady from our bank ended up going down and dropping of the documents personally. Granted, the car dealership decided to use them for a loan and it wasn't their choice nor ours, but considering they're getting referred business, you would think they might want to treat their customers with some respect. I've only spoke to one nice person from CC. I believe his name was Andy out of the Portland office. So there's Kudos to Andy, but the rest you tards need to take some happy camper pills or find a new job. At least pretend like you kinda care. read more

Credit Concepts is in the high risk loan business. They take a big chance on loaning money to people who have either zero or very shady credit. I had very shady credit due to some huge medical bills and I needed a car to commute to work. Credit Concepts financed me. Nobody there made me feel like a loser for having poor credit, and they made the entire process if not enjoyable, at least bearable. I have paid my bill on time every month for 16 months now, with the exception of one. My daughter was in the hospital, and I couldn't make it in to make my payment. I called to explain the situation, and they were very understanding and accommodating. There were no repo threats or accusations. After the first year of payments, one of the ladies suggested that I refinance to get a lower interest rate. They took care of that for me in less than 30 minutes, and dropped my interest by four percent. I am grateful to Credit Concepts for taking a chance on me when I needed a car, and for treating me respectfully. Many high risk lenders don't treat their customers so well. read more

I was very happy with my experience at the 7th Avenue Eugene office. I don't know why they are getting such bad reviews. Maybe other locations are different. The staff at my location was always friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had credit problems due to high medical bills, but had no problem getting a loan here. The rates were very reasonable considering our credit history. They even gave us advice on how to lower the interest rates later. Never had any problems with this location. Anytime I hear someone with questionable credit is looking for financing I refer them to Credit Concepts. read more

Trying to help my sister pay off her loan. She is hurting bad for money and we wanted to pay off her loan to help her out. At first they required my sister's permission to get the pay off info and gave a time limit on authorization which we met but then they said the permission was only for the pay off amount and they couldn't take payment without additional permission. They wanted her to go to a fax machine and fax her signature so we could pay off her loan. Things smell mighty fishy here and I am NOT happy! read more

My husband and I have been working to rebuild our credit (he incurred a lot of debt after his first marriage ended and I was young and dumb). At the time that we sought to get a vehicle loan so we could obtain a vehicle that would accommodate our large blended family, our credit was still considered poor and no one wanted to help us. Credit Concepts stepped up. They helped us in a time when we needed it the most. We have had this loan for almost 1 year and during that year we have had a lot of hardships and struggles, but Credit Concepts has worked with us at every turn. Yes, when our payments are late they charge late fees...they ARE a business after all, not a charity and I have no issue paying a late fee if we are making outlr payment late. I have always recieved stellar customer service and we will definitely contact them for our next vehicle loan when the time comes! read more

This place is TERRIBLE!! I have been steadily making payments for almost 3 years never missing one pmnt!! Well, unfortunately my debit card was stolen and I had thought I set up pmnts to be run via check and not bedit card (this is what I did with the last place I made pmnts to). Well, I was mistaken...my fault, yes! Here's where the issue is... My "case worker" who was apparently new a few months ago...decided that he wouldn't leave a message for me when he called me, I understand if he didn't want to leave detailed info but if he would've even said "calle back Becky, this is credit concepts" I know who they are I would've called right back. I get a ton of nonsense calls that I don't answer and I work a ft job so I'm not always available to answer my phone!!! They also have my email address which they've used before but apparently this new guy "doesn't do emails"...interesting bc my last case manager did and how am I supposed to know that you "don't do emails" or that you called me and needed me to return a phone call WITHOUT YOU LEAVING ME A MESSAGE!!! So, after I got nowhere with this dude I asked to speak to his supervisor...he States "I'm in charge of your acct so what do you need to tell her?!" I said I didn't agree with how he handled my acct and I need to speak to a supervisor. Well, that's when this wreched woman who has ZERO customer service skills and wouldn't let me get a word in if her life depended on it, she tells me I'm irrisponsible, and that she's "not going to listen to me hash up the previous conversation with the guy I spoke to first!!!!" She was so incredibly rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and should NOT be in her line of work!!!! She has absolutely no customer service skills!! I will be contacting BBB. I feel as if they set me up for failure to pay so they could have a reason to garnish my wages 25% of each paycheck (approx 300.00) each paycheck!!! I will soon be homeless bc dude couldn't do his job!! Then he has enough nerve to say "I don't want to cause you more stress" really buddy???!!! Anyhow, this is my rant...there were some really awful things said to me during this phone call!! I will say that they agreed to garnish me 300/mo rather than per paycheck in the end...I'm a single mom and although I appreciate the gesture..my previous payment plan was set up for a reason....I'm broke!! I have nothing good to say about this company. It is in the business to rip off people! I had no say in using this company the dealership picked them. I cannot wait to get my car refinanced through a legitimate loan company and not this loan shark one. I have tried to work with them on a loan I co-signed and have had nothing but problems. I also was forced into a loan with this company on my own personal car. I pay my payments early and have never been late. I wonder why I am treated like crap trying to work with them on the co-signed loan. I got my car from a dealership that uses Credit Concepts because I was trying to build credit. They are high interest at around 30%. I paid for 3 years never missing payments. I dealt with harassing phone calls, even though, I was making payments within the grace period every month, despite, my asking repeatedly not to be called and being assured I wouldn't be called by the reps. I dealt with good reps and bad reps with this company. They definitely don't go out of their way to make sure you know information about your account. I got down to my last payment, only to be told, when I asked about the title it would be 30 days after my last payment before I'd get the title. The registration was about to expire and I needed to transfer everything to another state. A rep requested the title be sent to the office near where I moved to but kept trying to push me to get another loan and let them hold onto the title. I was then told that even though I had moved that they could have done the transfer paperwork and it would cost me $100 more to take them off the title. I needed to hurry up and get the title so I could get my car registration up to date. I figured it would be best just to pay off the car since the tabs were expiring and the company had failed to tell me when I moved they could've done the registration in the state I moved to avoiding the tabs expiring. It would've taken longer to wait for them to take care of that and I didn't want to pay more interest for them to that plus the trip permit fees. I also wasn't told that I didn't need to carry full coverage car insurance after I had paid my loan down to $1,500 so I've paid for coverage I didn't need costing me hundreds more a year on top of the high interest and fees they charge if you make payments in any other form other then cash. I was so happy when I had the final payment ready and thought it would be great for my credit to pay it off. WRONG!!! When the lady was insisting that I get another loan and let them use the current title as collateral, she didn't tell me that not getting another a high interest loan through them would negatively impact my credit. I told her no thanks, I didn't want to finance another car at high interest or get any other loans. I just checked my credit score, despite making all my payments, paying off my car, they reported my account closed and my scores dropped 30 points. Lesson from all this is paying on this high interest loan, the lack of information they give customers, the harassing phone calls, fees and the total I've not only paid, but overpaid, was not in the end worth it. The company exploits those with bad credit or low credit scores. They make it seem like they will help you build credit but really they make thousands in profit off of people with few options, and pretty much leave you worse off if you don't keep getting high interest loans through them. It's a messed up way of trying to trap people. I paid thousands more using this company and was left in the end with a worse credit score than I started with. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!! They will wreck your credit and you will pay thousands more. Save up and buy a car out of pocket!! read more

I got a loan through Credit Concepts after my bankruptcy to start rebuilding my credit. I have never had an issue with them and I have refinanced twice. They are always nice to me when I go in to pay my payment. (Most of the time I use my Wells Fargo Bill pay to make my payment.) The offer loans to people that are high credit risks. They are very very rude and make you feel like you are not worth their time. I bought a car from a used car dealership recently and was 'approved' through them. Not so much. when I called them to go sign paperwork through them, I was supposed to talk to Kevin - which I never did. I talked to some 'lady' that was very very rude, made me feel like crap, and had no intention of giving me any kind of a loan - because my husband couldnt be on it....... huh?? I bought the car - it was in my name only, not my husbands, and there is no law that says I cant finance a car without my husband. She was a !@$!@#$!. I hung up on her, called my dealership, and they hooked me up with Reliable Credit , and they were MORE than helpful, easy to deal with, very nice, AND my payments went down $100!!!! She did me a favor, but not after me stressing out because she had me convinced there was no way I was going to be approved for a loan. Exact words: 'Good luck on getting a loan. It will never happen'. Really??? someone should close them down. If you are that rude right off the bat - how do you get customers? Drug them?? read more
