Dealer said it had to be driven 40 - 45 miles every day to keep the battery charged. Not only is this ridiculous it would have cost me about $5,000 in over mileage even if there were no days over 40 miles. After about 3 weeks the battery was dead again. This time the service department said if I could not drive 40 - 45 miles every day I would need to hook the vehicle to a battery charger. I am not going to hook and unhook a battery charger to a $67,000 vehicle every day. I have written to the General Manager with my concerns and received no reply. If you buy from Kendall Lexus be warned that once you leave the lot you are on your own. read more

I have bought 4 Lexus cars over the years, since 1997, but the dealers in California I went to were fabulous, as they should be! So when I came here to purchase a car with cash in the bank, I expected the same top tier service. Well, that is not what happened. The initial sales person, Madison, was very helpful and nice, but as soon as I made my offer, told them I was paying by check and that the bank would be more than happy to freeze the funds until the check cleared, suddenly the Sales Manager and the Finance Manager started in with "we have to run a credit check on you". No, you don't! I am paying with a check that can be verified of funds by making one phone call. "No, we have to run a credit check on you". This started a whole run around with them, them saying they wouldn't come down at all on the price, then I threatened to walk out and go across the street to Toyota and they back-pedaled and started to come down. I persisted until we agreed on a price, then I wrote the check out right then because I knew they were going to pull some low-life used car lot crap on me, and they sure did. They came back and reneged on the agreed-upon price, I showed them the check was already written for the price they agreed to, and I could see they were angry. What a shame they resort to these tactics!! Then the Finance Manger pushed hard to get me to buy the extended warranty after multiple times of my saying "NO!", and then the paperwork they gave me wasn't even clear that the purchase price was paid in full, so I demanded that the finance guy write "paid in full" sign his name and title and sign this paper. I needed a door panel fixed. My appointment was scheduled and then they called to reschedule making me miss work. They were unsympathetic. Initially they fixed the door panel and then found another problem. The tech called to get permission to fix it, saying it would be $80. It was an easy $20 part but was already in the shop, so I said okay. I showed up for the car and was presented with a $800 bill. This was not what I agreed to. I spoke with the manager Naomi Elin. Took our 2005 ls430 in to change the door lock settings. David, a CS rep was very kind and tried to help, realized in a few minutes that a computer was needed on this model to change the settings. I've read that many dealers charge to do this and it is rather expensive. Came in to this place on Sunday, it's been a long time dream of mine to buy a new Lexus so me and two of my friends came in looking to buy Lexus each with our own approved loans. We arrived and saw the lot nobody came out to ask if we needed help or had any questions answered, figured because it Was raining nobody wanted to get drenched so we went inside to try and speak to someone. We waited and sat for 30 minutes nobody came over to ask if we needed anything, nobody to answer any questions, nobody to show us the lot or what they had, everyone was just in their little cubical office staring over and glaring. It was not until we we got up from the seating area to leave that some guy came over to ask "have yall been helped yet" like bro, you've been glaring at us for the past 30 minutes, you know the damn answer to your dumb ass question. I know we're not the old people with 100k ready to drop on a new LC500 but we came in approved with 40k approved loans and were wanting to make a purchase that day. I dont know if its because they saw a bunch of young guys in their mid 20s or color of our skin, needless to say I wouldn't set foot in this miserable place if I was in desperate need of a used car. When you take your car to Lexus dealership, you expect everything to be done professionally. But when you get your car back and they didn't even put your glove box back together after checking your cabin filter and it's missing pins so I can't even put it back together I would have to go buy parts to be able to fix it now really makes me fucking nervous about what they did under the hood like did you all just forget to put screws back in when fixing some shit under there too because I feel like the glove box is pretty simple. And honestly I didn't even ask them to do an inspection they did it because they wanted more money and then they broke my shit, for the amount of money that I was paying them they should have definitely vacuumed my car and washed it but no they just break my glove box..... great 0/10 do not recommend read more

I recently called to schedule an appointment for an oil change and a transmission flush. I asked the cost of the transmission flush and they said $585. I thought, wow! That seems expensive. After checking around to several local shops all the price quotes were in that $185-$200 range. I asked how they did there transmission flushes and they were the same as Kendall. I don't understand how it could be three times higher at The dealer. This really bothers me. I will continue to get quotes from Lexus of Eugene but I will be very aware of what other places charge. read more

It's been a couple of years since I bought my car. The best thing about getting a car here was the fact that there was no tax, since I was a Californian transplant studying at UO. And looking back, I really wish the service could have been a little smoother. It really left me with a sour experience. I'd been researching cars for a few months prior and settled on the IS 300. I went in with my dad. We made a straight forward offer and they took it. Instead of closing the deal himself, the guy who showed us the car handed us off to a half Chinese/White salesman who made it a point to talk about his experiences eating dim sum with his mother. I wanted to trust this guy on one level, he seemed nice enough. But the whole thing felt a little forced and patronizing. Afterall, he was selling us a car. After signing some papers and having the car paid for, a third salesman came in to talk to us about getting paint protectant for the car. He was forcefully insistent and we ended up buying it for an additional $300. My dad looked at it as if he were charitably giving a guy a little commission, but looking back, it was an unnecessary pitch that lacked a lot of class. We got nice car, and today, it runs fine. But in the end, you have a choice as to who can sell you the same product. In this case, I would definitely recommend the car, but I would not recommend Kendall Lexus of Eugene. read more

My wife and I recently purchased a 2008 Lexus RX400H from a dealer up in Portland. Since the vehicle was a 2008, we opted (with my wife's pushing) for an extended warranty. Boy was I happy we purchased the extended warranty. Approximately 30 days later we experienced some serious brake issues, to the point where the vehicle was unsafe to drive. I called Kendall Lexus in Eugene Friday morning and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist (I think her name was Stella). She immediately transferred me to Melissa. Melissa was very friendly and welcoming and instantly made me feel like I would be taken care of. Luckily, Melissa was able to book an appointment for first thing Monday morning. My wife and I met with Melissa Monday morning. Melissa was very inviting and professional and once again made us feel very confident that things would be taken care of. Since this was a third party extended warranty through the dealer up in Portland there were some challenges in getting approval for the required repair (brake actuator replacement). Melissa went above and beyond by making numerous phone calls to obtain all the required approvals for the warranty repair. Once the approvals were in place and part ordered, the repairs were quickly completed by Tuesday at noon the following day. I also wanted to mention that, during this entire process Melissa kept me informed from start to finish which was very reassuring. I would also like to extend a big thank you to our technician Scott for a job well done ! The entire process from my initial phone call to picking up our vehicle was a true joy ! I recently brought my Lexus to Kendall Lexus for a defroster repair and came away with hole in the seat, hence this worst review. At Kendall I was greeted by a representative who asked me to wait while he inspected the car before taking it back to maintenance. Several hours later when I was advised that they would need to keep my car for several days to complete the repair I asked to be taken back to it to obtain some belongings. Opening the driver's door I was shocked to see a hole in the middle of the driver's seat. When I pointed this out to the service representative I was told, "we'll take care of it". But when I came to pick up my car Kendall had not restored the seat to its original condition and only put a patch on it. Although the original inspection of the car would have noted a hole in the seat had I brought it in this way, as there was no hole none was noted. The seat had been punctured while in Kendall's possession. Service manager Naomi Elin told me the patch (with a lump under it) was all Kendall was willing to do and that Kendall would not accept responsibility for the damage. In this case someone or ones at Kendall were not telling the truth. I have lost all faith in Eugene's Kendall Lexus, and warn others to do as I intend to, and take their business elsewhere. read more

After dealing with Kendall Lexus in Eugene for many, many years I have now concluded that only a fool would buy a car from them. Over the last few years my observation is that their service and attitudes have declined to a rating of "Terrible". On one occasion the brakes were not operating properly on my new LS-460L. We sent it to Kendall while under warranty. They fixed it to the tune of $12,000 as I recall. Then they demanded that I personally come up to pick up the car and pay the bill---"JUST IN CASE LEXUS DID NOT REIMBURSE THEM FOR THE WARRANTY WORK". The other day our brand new LS-500 battery was dead. I called Kendall to ask them where the battery was located and for tips on how to get the car started. The first male told me he didn't have a clue and would get someone who knew. The next fellow came on and told me the same thing. Then a female came on and told me that she did not know and would speak with a technician. She then came back and told me to call a Toyota dealer or Triple AAA. I asked to speak with the technician. She told me that he was too busy. Can you believe such service? Then a couple of weeks later I called Kendall to speak with their sales manager. He was not available. I left my name and number two weeks ago, but have never heard a word back. In my opinion this dealership should not be allowed to sell the Lexus brand. They suck and people should beware in dealing with them. read more

For all the expense taken to build a lovely building some money should have been spent on customer service training. I bought my lexus here. no problem, but i find the service totally lacking. They are too busy to answer the phone most times I call. When the service dept does answer the phone I'm put on hold for long periods of time just to get my car's regular service. I take my lexus now to Corvallis toyota which has incredible service. they answer the phone quickly, set the appointment, perform the service in the time they said it would take. Corvallis Toyota is a very busy bustling establishment where as Kendall Lexus feels like lazy folks are running the place. read more

Compliments to the Kendall Lexus service team. I needed a replacement wheel cap for my GX, and it was difficult to find as my wheels were a factory option, and not the standard type. I had previously ordered a wheel cap on ebay, but had to return it because it didn't fit. I then spent some more time looking online for the part without success. I happened to be in the area, and swung into Kendall Lexus. The service team quickly inspected my GX and ordered the part to be shipped directly to my house. I did have a great experience at Kendall Lexus. Although I did not purchase a Lexus, I did purchase a nice pre-owned vehicle there. I did walk away the first time, but they called me back and really worked with me without any haggling or pressure, and the final signing experience was really nice. The finance woman at #KendallChevy had a 360 degree turn in her demeanor and attitude as soon I told her that I wanted to do more research on the GAP and extended warranties; her tone and body language was very obvious that she wanted to be done with me! I appreciated the relax atmosphere and it sure was refreshing to have a different experience. This was also my second experience buying online (purchased a vehicle in Oregon City.
