First this could be a great place unfortunately the service and food delivery are a direct reflection of their leadership. Like other reviews the service is hit or miss. I took my grandkids because they have a decent selection Tonight they were terrible. Our order came out one or two items at a time. By the time my food came out the rest of the family was half finished eat their meal. I ordered a pizza like my grandson ordered and his came out first and it was ok then everyone else's food came out. They forgot mine food so after waiting the manager brought me a burnt pizza. He asked if something was wrong and I told him it was burnt. He said I am not charging you for it. After questioning him about his comment he asked if I wanted another one. By this time everyone was basically finished. I told him no I do not think it is ok to eat burnt food because I'm not being charged and oh by the way I prefer to eat the same time as my family. The manger Eon thought he was doing me a favor. He couldn't or wouldn't give me his managers name, he just gave me a card and told me to call their headquarters. My husband and I have been multiple times. He loves their White Cheese pizza, so that's what he orders almost every time we go there. As for me, well....I tend to try out a new dish each time. I have tried their rib and shrimp combination with a baked potato and salad that tasted so good. The rib meat fell off the bones so easily and the rub added a great taste, too. The shrimp were cooked perfect. Then, the next time I ordered Fish n Chips. I remembered having them another time, but not as impressed as I was this time. They were seasoned and tendered to eat. There were ample fish to enjoy along with the coleslaw that had the right amount of mayo and freshly made because the cabbage had a nice crunch as you bite into it. It had a sweet taste that added a wonderful taste with the fish. Fries were hot and well seasoned, too. What really impressed us this time was the service! The young lady addressed our needs even without asking us. It was like she knew what we wanted to make our meal complete. This includes giving us extra napkins without asking for them. She collected our dirty dishes as soon as they were ready to leave the table. She refilled our drinks. As we were getting ready to leave she asked if we wanted a drink to go. What a great waitress! I only wished I had asked for her name to give her all of the credit for being such a wonderful waitress. When a waitress addresses our needs like this my husband is sweet with a nice tip to let her know that we were pleased with her service. Not all of our visits here have been wonderful with service, but she really impressed us. We do tend to arrive before the rush hours so that we can get in and out without this much time wasted. If you have not checked out this location I would say it's time to give it a try. Lots of choices to consider. You'll be happy especially if you go before the rush hours. read more

I have been here a couple of times....not always a good experience but I believe in giving places a few tries just to see if it was just the one time or ALL the time. I think this last time will be my LAST. I went on Wednesday for a birthday lunch I ordered the chicken wrap....I guess that was a mistake. I spent the next two days with a diagnosed case of food poisoning. So unless you want to spend a few days at home I would probably reconsider this place. The drinks are always good, but the food can be really hit or miss. Sometimes the service takes a long time even when the restaurant doesn't seem all that busy. I've tried their wings twice, the first time they were just okay and the second time a couple of them were bloody from not being cooked enough. In any case, the servers are typically very nice and I can tell everyone there is trying. I still go back, so I wouldn't tell anyone to stay away! In the Midlothian location , GRILLED WINGS ARE DELICIOUS ! I took the grilled wings and chicken tenders platter , that came with fries and small slaw . all was very good . looks very fresh , and very well made . Best that I had in a while . service was really really good , and fast , and all the servers that came to my table was extremely nice . The place is huge , and got as many TV's that u can imagine . ONE OF THE WORST LUNCH EXPERIENCES!! I had lunch w/2 co-workers at KickBack Jack's-Richmond, VA. EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional manager. They had a special listed on the signboard when you walk in. The Thursday special price on their printed menu was different. I asked the waitress if the item was actually 2.75 as on the sign board. She said she thought it should have been 5.00, as on the printed menu. I asked her if she could double check, and if it was actually listed as 2.75 on the signboard I wanted the special. She came back to tell me that someone had wrote the special price wrong on the board and if I still wanted it. I said sure, at the 2.75 price. She went to check w/the manager. He came back to the table, and flatly told me no. Agreed that the price was listed as 2.75, it was indeed their error, but he would not be honoring it. Others at the table agreed that his response/handling of the matter was not in the best professional tone, so when the waitress returned, and asked if he had agreed to that price (?) we told her no. We then asked for corporate info to discuss it further. She then proceeded to tell us that the manager could be "like that" and can be hard to deal with. We were VERY clear that we had no problem with her, we appreciated her help and she thanked us for being understanding. She came back to tell us that he wanted to deliver the information to us himself. When he returned to the table he began yelling at us w/ a LOT of attitude saying that we could call whoever we wanted to, corporate or the GM, and they were gonna tell us the same thing. He was soooo angry that he was visibly shaking and red in the neck and face. I calmly asked him...why the attitude? His response was because he had to come back over to our table after he already said no, that the waitress said WE called him rude, and that we weren't getting the item at 2.75 so he should not have had to come back over. (remember, he told the waitress that he "wanted" to bring us the info we requested) At no time were we rude, did we raise our voices, or give him any type of attitude. He gave us a card writing his name on the back and an out of state phone number. He then proceeded to get further annoyed when we asked for the GM's name since he did not provide that. We finished our meal and a different waitress brings back our checks explaining that we had been transferred to her. It usually takes quite a bit for me to pull any "color" cards, however, our original waitress and the manager were white, and the waitress they transferred us to was black. This was the worst experience in my life. New spot in Durham, some friends and I thought we would drop in for dinner. It was the first girls night in a while, ruined by the mangers. The one's I thought are to correct the situation. I ordered that sweet tale bucket of juice that is to have 4 different rums. I received a bucket of syrupy juice that almost sent me into a sugar rush. I inform the waitress that the drink is to sweet for my liking can I have something else. I got something else alright a twitching manager that tells me that he can give me ginger ale to thin out the sweetness. I inform him ginger ale will also take away from the already none existing alcohol. He says well no it will take away the sweetness. We go back and fourth for a minute or so. Now I'm pissed cause I feel disrespected as a woman a mother and fore most a customer. What happen to respecting your consumer and keeping them happy. Any who he tells me ma'am I can't take the drink off your tab all sales are final. Which was not verbalized it on the back of the BEER menu. I don't drink beer why and how would I see that. Didn't realize there was rules to ordering a drink. I tell the man ok I'm not hard to get along with I will pay for the drink but cancel my order I will not eat in this establishment. The order comes any way, after I have agreed to pay for the drink this dude going to call me that I have to pay for the food any way. I kindly informed him that I will take care of the drink like I said but he can kick rocks on that horrible looking food I am not paying for that.(not just saying it because service was horrible, I give credit where its due.) Long story cut a little bit after I agree to take care of the tab for the drink I was greeted at the door by the cigarette smiling snuff dipping other manger and the police officer. My favorite wings ever anywhere. The pizzas look okay, but the wings are fabulous. Why not 5 stars? Service. The servers seem to stand around chatting. Been three times and all three times, have been forgotten. Be careful if you go for a quick workday lunch. Heard great things about this place. Unfortunately they were all WRONG. Once we were seated we ordered water to start and our alcoholic drinks. (we were a table of four)After 30 mins we only got our alcoholic beverages . We ordered our meals and they came out 20-30 minutes later but still no water. One of my guests ordered a lemon drop and an amaretto sour which took more than 35 mins to arrive. 15 minutes into that wait we asked our waitress about the drink and she informed us that it had been spilled and was being remade. Only the shot arrived!! We asked our waitress to speak to a manager so that he/she could be informed of what was happening in the establishment. He took 30 plus minutes just to come to the table!!! Once , he arrived his attitude was nothing close to empathetic to our poor service and less than quality experience as first time patrons at kick back jacks . Worst managerial encounter I've ever had! Fortunately when we were leaving we informed the operating manager of our service and he apologized and told us to only ask for him if we were to return. Last night I went to KBJ for dinner. My experience was even worse than the last time. We had a larger party of 10 people. Only 1 waitress was assigned to the table. All the orders were placed at the same time but they all came out at different times. I ordered a drink which i never recieved. My parents wings were prepared incorrectly. I asked for bbq sauce three times which I finally received. We were there for over an hour and half and the waitress NEVER refilled any of the drinks. My brother in law actually got up and refilled his own drink. Also, all of our checks were wrong and I had to remind her that the kids' meals were on sale on Mondays. When she finally got our checks corrected, she takes the checks and our credit cards with her while she goes and chats with a coworker. Later she returns to the table without a pen to sign the check. I spoke to the manager before we left and his excuse for our bad experience was that the waitress was off her game today. Really?!? Not worth the drive for awful, over salted food. read more

For starters our server took at least 15 min to greet us. Another 20 min to get non-bar drinks. My friend doesn't eat pork but she ordered a dish not knowing it had pork in it and had already stated with her appetizer order NO PORK. Instead of our server being knowledgeable about the menu neglected to tell us it had pork in it. Now I'm not expecting her to know every ingredient being served but when we asked if the dish could be remade they decided to pick the sausage out with their hands. What I don't get is why they looked so confused when we said that it was unacceptable. The manager was just not understanding the situation. Our server was not attentive, forgot basically everything we said to her, and was borderline disrespectful. She had the audacity to ask my friend if she didn't eat pork due to religious reasons. Let's see...went on around 12 on a Saturday night and the experience was completely horrible. Took forever to get the menus and for a server to come over. Not to mention servers were sitting down doing nothing while we were waiting. Our server was horrible she didn't even bring out straws or silverware out initially. I don't usually like sports bars, but I have to admit I really enjoyed my time here. It is a bit Hooters-esque in terms of the girls wearing tight shirts, but if you can get past that then it's pretty much like any other sports bar. Lots of TVs with various sports around on different channels for your viewing pleasure. Our service was friendly and food came out fairly quickly. I got 10 wings which were definitely at a great price ($8.50 or so!) and were awesome. Would definitely recommend their grilled wings. I was surprised at how spicy their honey barbecue wings were though as they were second from the bottom in terms of spiciness, but to be fair I'm not that great when it comes to spice. Also ordered a Bold Rock, which was filled to the brim and chilled. Their happy hours are super long and they have great specials every day too, which is great! I believe it starts at 11am and ends at 9pm. The interior seating can be a bit loud, but my boyfriend and I sat in a sort of covered patio which I actually enjoyed a lot - you get some fresh air while still getting the sort of indoor-feeling. Overall, I would come again and definitely recommend this place to others who are just looking for a place to wind down and enjoy some drinks and food. read more

I usually like Kick Backs when venturing out with a few people...I an trying to celebrate my son's last night in Richmond, VA and it is a total disaster! They don't take reservations, they don't tell you that with a larger party you won't be seated until atleast 10 people arrive... We waited for 45 minutes to get seated with the promise that it would create a better, more efficient experience. That was a lie. They seated us in a section at two separate tables, so it was hard to communicate with everyone.. Then one of the two tables received their food when we have even received all of our drinks. That went on for 50 minutes. The group they sat us with is Lord and obnoxious, you can't hardly hear each other talk. I don't recommend a big crowd at all. It took us an hour and a half to get out meal. read more

This use to be one of my favorite places.....well that has now changed. I called and spoke with a young lady over the phone, to let her know that a party of 20 was going to come in on 3/26/2016. I told her that I was aware that they don't do reservations, but I wanted to see if they could accommodate us, long story short, she then handed the phone to one of the Restaurant partners, whom was not very friendly at all. He proceeded to tell me that he would not be able to accommodate my group. He did not apologize or show any type of empathy. He basically acted as if I was bothering him. Sorry about the delay, been out of the country....but this location has really gotten bad with service and food prepared incorrectly but again I visited the Broad street location in VA on December 15th at 7pm arrived for a dinner of 15 in which includes 1- 2yr old and 3 - 1 yr olds.. So we were told we had a 45 min wait an they do not reserve reservations, but was told they had a large party of 40 people at 9 Pm that some how got on the book, but we had to wait until they come before she could seat us...so it didn't matter if I was already there. Also she stated that she had to honor it, and explain to me it was out of her hands, Mind you I was there at 7 and this was about 8 pm. So we looked in the back room and no one was in this room, she was holding it for the 9 pm group. So finally she sat us back there because we question it and I ask for a General Manager card, She (CAT) got very irradiated at this point and start calling someone on her cell phone then refused us a server and service, so I request another Manager in which was in the kitchen who could not come out so I went an stood by the kitchen until I was able to speak to him(Shaun) and then Cat ran over an pushed him back in kitchen to prep him on our situation, He backed her and we had to leave an go to another restaurant at 5 mintues to 9 PM. I have never seen service or been rejected from a restaurant all because I ask for a General Manager card. So I called Midlothian store an spoke to manager an he guided me on what I should do. I have all 11 adults writing letters to me in which I am going to share them with you as well as channel 12 and the food service chain. Food is not good, burger was greasy and did not come with toppings that were on menu. Fish n chips were fishy tasting. Just bad bar food. Place is so loud, that you really need ear plugs or your ears will be ringing when you leave. Would not recommend unless you just want to sit and drink, because you can't talk to the person you are with. A coworker , a friend and I decided to go to kick back jacks after a long day of work. We were greeted very nicely by a couple of servers that were working, we got there around 12:30am. First things first all three of us ordered Long Island ice teas which tasted more like apple juice. My co worker was not satisfied with her drink at all, so she asked the server to get the manger. The manger came over Mr. Brian Cooper, he informed my co worker that all alcohol sales are final and he can not exchange them nor refund it. He stood firm in his decision. I want Cooper to know that he needs to be demoted to a server, if a guest is not happy with their food and or drink you should take care of that guest. Why would you make somebody keep or drink something they do not like. After he left out table he went back to shucking and jiving with some people. Our food was alright but his service really spoiled my experience and I truly doubt I will ever visit this business again. The fish and shrimp meal was good going down but within 15 mins of leaving there i got all hot and threw up my whole meal. so needless to say i will never eat there again something is wrong with there food. I would have given this place 3.5 stars but it won't let me. The place was okay, but it wasn't great. The first thing I saw was something about the "dress code" that was printed on the front door area. I had my two teenage boys with me and I almost turned around and left...dress code...shirt and tie sort of deal? I was wearing levi's and my boys were wearing grunge. I immediately saw other folks wearing not much better than myself so I decided to venture in anyway. The food was okay, although I did have some breaded shrimp which I thought was pretty good. The ribs were alright. Maybe it's my age but having so many TV screens all around isn't my style. If I'm out eating I don't want to sit around watching TV in a restaurant....I can do that at home. I prefer conversation with those I'm eating with. Prices were okay, meal portions were okay. The "seater" girl seemed almost put out to have to seat me and my boys. If she feels that way, quit and give the job to someone who does want to be there. The waitress, however, was really good and made up for those first bad impressions of the place. My son and daughter-in-law gave my husband and me a surprise 50th anniversary party Feb. 20th at Kickback Jack's. There were around 26 friends and family members present. Kickback Jacks made this the best day. Food, drinks, service was superior. Just a beautiful experience. This is our favorite place to eat with our son, his wife and children, my brother and us. I don't normally review unless it was a bad experience but after seeing the numerous 1 star reviews, I felt the need to do this. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We requested to change from a table to a booth and were allowed to do so without complaint. The food came out 23 minutes after ordering, which in my opinion is pretty damn fast. Our waitress (Samantha) refilled our drinks when they were at 1/4 full without us even asking her to. She came to check on our food twice while eating. Food was amazing. Shrimp PoBoy, Cajun Shrimp Alfredo, All American Burger and kids chicken tenders. In regards to the complaints about "tatas hanging out", every female working here has a standard v-neck t-shirt on. If you can't handle that, that's on you - not them. Someone else complained about employees walking around on cell phones - never saw that. I even asked for a manager to discredit the complaints about never getting to see one and in literally 2 minutes Eddie came to our table, no attitude and held a conversation with us about sports. My conclusion is that the complaints listed are either disgruntled former employees or people that just need to nag for whatever reason. If I really had to dig for a complaint, it would be that the food came out so fresh and hot that it burned my mouth but I'll survive. read more

I was so excited to try this new restaurant/bar. Sadly, I had a terrible experience. My bartender was very snotty and down right racist. I went last Thursday to enjoy the beautiful weather, some drinks, and watch some football. What should have been a wonderful experience was ruined by my server Quinn. I work across the street from here, I order to-go food all the time. They know who I am and are always very friendly and give suggestions for food. They quote 15 mins for food, by the time I get over there my food is ready to go. the boneless wings are way better than bdubs, not as many flavors but still so delicious. nice amount of breading to chicken ratio, and the honey bbq sauce is great. my total with just the wings is $8 and some change and it comes with the same amount of wings as a medium order at bdubs for half the price. highly recommend coming here. the service eating in is also awesome and very quick read more

Kickback Jacks's, West Broad Street, Richmond, VA, is the worst restaurant I have visited in a very long while. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! The waitress had difficulty in getting our orders straight. She never asked what we wanted to drink, and my husband had to catch her to order drinks. I ordered the steak and it was a little burnt and had a twangy taste. I didn't say anything in front of the people we were with because my husband does not like that type attention. I stopped eating it and just ate the additional wings he ordered. When the checks came, the waitress had marked thru all the tip choices , and had already with a pin, added the tips to our checks, and wrote in the new total. We all were flabbergasted. Again my husband paid the checks without questioning this tactic. We took our leftovers and when I tasted the steak again the next day, it was that same twang and I felt nauseous. This is the worst service I have ever experienced! We went there after 11 so I understand that this is a sports bar and can be very busy later at night. I have been a server for over 5 years and went with 4 other servers and bartenders. When we sat dawn the waitress walked by our table and put the condiment caddy on our table not even expressing that she was busy or would be with us in a minute, just gave us a dirty look like she hated her job and did not want to be there. She stood and talked to another table who acted like her friends or regular customers, when she finally did make it to the table she was rude and obviously annoyed. We ordered our drinks and waited 15 minutes for BEERS! Luckily we ordered a pitcher so we wouldn't have to wait for every beer we ordered. I decided I wanted something to eat so instead of waiting for the waitress I got up went to the front and got my own menu so by the time she came back I had looked over the entire menu and knew what I wanted. I ordered some Mac and cheese bites and another round for the table. The Mac and cheese bites came out BEFORE the next round. And they were amazing and I would defiantly recommend them!!! When our next round came out she asked if we were all good and told us that she was going out to her car for a minute. Well a minute turned into 40! One of the people at the table needed to go home and was waiting for her so he could pay his tab, after waiting 25 minutes he got upset and left his money on the table. The rest of us were about ready to leave and still waited another 20 plus minutes watching the door for her to come back in. It got so bad we were asking the bartender to take the money we owned her when she walked in... Acting like nothing happened. Being a server I know what it's like to be busy and not be able to pay the best attention to your table but our table was being ignored and totally disrespected!! Again the food was amazing! But the server with tattoos all over her and messed up eyeliner did not care about her tables. read more
