fresh rolls
Julia L.

11/15/2025 came here for dinner w friends The inside is very spacious and has a cozy vibe. all the staff were friendly and welcoming. ordered spring roll (friend), fresh rolls, Ginger aromatic chicken, and chocolate mousse. Fresh rolls and spring rolls were both amazing (2 for $7.25/ 4 for $11.25/ 8 for $19.25) Fresh rolls came with peanut and fish dipping sauce. A little sad that a lot of the fresh roll was bean sprouts and not noodles. Feels a little cheap. Spring rolls containing veggies inside was fantastic. Piping hot right out of the fryer. I could not get enough of it. Definitely worth the try for first-time visitors. I tried the ginger aromatic chicken this time $16.75, which came with rice and a very very small bowl of veggies that I think lack sauce. The Chicken on the other side was very flavorful, slightly dry. Lastly, the dessert was a surprisingly good finish to the meal. Always great to dine here.

We've been going to Khanh's Garden (original and current location) for years. They have there own parking lot, so parking is ok. The interior is simple decor with modern furnishings. The service is nice and friendly. Our usual entrees are the following...AND we've tried a lot of different dishes! *Egg Rolls / Cha Giò: Pork filled fried rolls served with fresh lettuce (for outside wrapping) and Khanh's seasoning sauce (4/5). *Fresh Rolls / Gỏi Cuốn: Steamed lean pork, shrimp, and fresh vegetables wrapped in rice paper served with dipping sauce & crushed roasted peanuts (4/5). *Beef Noodle Soup / Phở Bò: Beef and rice noodles in a savory beef broth (brisket available upon request) served with fresh garnish (3/5). *BBQ Pork Noodles / Bún Thịt Heo Nướng: Grilled marinated pork slices atop vermicelli noodles, garnished with fresh herbs, chopped scallions, and served with crisp lettuce (4/5). *Grilled Shrimp & BBQ Pork Noodles / Bún Tôm Thịt: Rice vermicelli noodles topped with grilled shrimp and BBQ pork, typically includes a blend of herbs, cucumber, pickled carrots, and a garnish of peanuts, served with a side of fish sauce (4/5). *Vietnamese Special Rice / Cơm Tay Cầm: A combination of fragrant, ginger infused rice cooked together with Chinese sausage, mushrooms, and grilled chicken served with a green salad (4/5). This is my wife's favorite dish here. *Lemongrass Aromatic Chicken / Cơm Gà Sả Ớt: White chicken meat caramelized in lemongrass seasoning served with steamed rice and a green salad (3.5/5). *BBQ Chicken: Grilled marinated boneless chicken thigh served with steamed rice and a green salad (4/5). This is my brother's go-to dish and my first introduction to Khanh's. *BBQ Beef / Cơm Bò Nướng Sả: Grilled lemongrass beef rolls filled with onions topped with crushed peanuts and served with steamed rice and a green salad (4/5). *Grilled Beef Ribs With Gourmet Sauce (Korean BBQ Style) (4/5). My mom's favorite. Though, this has gotten so pricey for the portion size. *Shaken Beef: Marinated cubes of fillet mignon pan seared with a perfectly browned outer crust and tender juicy bite served with your choice of steamed rice or french roll (4/5). One of our favorite dishes. Not to say that it is the best. We were introduced to this dish for the first time here. I can't help but get either their Vietnamese Ice Coffee or the Che desserts whenever I dine in.

came here a while back with super high expectations upon seeing social media review. we ordered the plate (forgot name) that has both pork n shrimp n can make a spring roll yourself and that was pretty good but pretty pricey for what they were. we also ordered beef pho n it was a subpar. mostly non asians here in the restaurant. service was pretty good and friendly tho. may try again.

A nostalgic restaurant for many Vietnamese Americans, Khanh's Restaurant more recently opened up their new location in Campbell, replacing the well known location in Santa Clara/San Jose near Valley Fair. The vibes are just as similar as the previous one, with cozy chairs and tables and a room dedicated to larger parties. For our large group of friends, we ordered many dishes, including a soup dish that included tomatoes & pineapples, crispy chicken, spring rolls & egg rolls & shrimp chips, and a few desserts including a delicious but slightly too sweet chocolate mousse. The food came out in a timely manner even with our group, and they gave plenty of plates and utensils for the food we all shared. We stayed a bit past closing time, and they were quite accommodating of us and gave us gentle reminders. I like this new Khanh's location!

Mouthwatering scrumptious as hell amazing food!! I will always go here whenever I'm in the bay. Flavors are wonderful, ingredients are fresh, and it always hits the spot. Good spot for families to come! Would recommend!

Clean and simple Vietnamese restaurant. I was curious about this place and thought we'd give it a shot. Upon walking in, the restaurant is really big and spacious. Plenty of seats for large parties. There are definitely a lot of regulars here. The staff seem to know all the patrons and their regular orders. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We ordered a sampler of appetizers which were all delicious. The shaking beef which was tender and flavorful. And a crispy egg noodle dish. The plates are a more on the pricier side (considering it is in Campbell), but I am curious to try the other dishes! Overall, it's a on the "fancier" side of Vietnamese restaurants in comparison to a lot of the OG places in east/south San Jose. The flavors are a bit more mild in my opinion, but overall a solid place.

We were really impressed with this place. Vietnamese food is one of John's favorites and we happen to be driving by one day. The inside is very different from your typical Vietnamese restaurant. We loved it with the booths and diner/family style feel. The service was excellent--kind of upscale. The food was good. We'll definitely return and maybe come back to celebrate my birthday with the family.

Fresh Rolls - Gỏi Cuốn ($11/4 pieces)

Khanh Do Attitude Locally-owned mom-and-pop restaurant that's been serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine to the South Bay for nearly forty-five years (1981). They've moved around quite a bit over the years, with their last location being on Winchester Blvd across from The Row. This current location (±3yrs) is at the old Carrow's (RiP), and is well-suited for them and their clientele. The Good: *Private parking lot, as well as street parking available. *Great service and not at all like your typical ESSJ Viet restaurant, where they rush you thru and treat you like garbage. *Private party room available (min 25 max 40) *Nothing says class like smooth jazz in the background. :) *Booths!! I friggin love booths. :))) *Bottled beers (nothing fancy) and wine *Fresh Rolls (aka Gỏi Cuốn) were fresh and tasty, and I liked that they gave you options and price breaks on how many rolls you want (2,4, or 6). My only complaint was the dipping sauce wasn't the typical peanut sauce but soy sauce and a handful of peanuts thrown in. I mean it was fine once I added some Sriracha and hoisin to it, but still a bit odd. *Vietnamese Beef Stew (aka Bò Kho) was delicious and one of the best renditions I'd had in a while. The broth had a nice deep flavor and all the veggies and beef were cooked to perfection. My only complaint was I wish it had more beef, but that's always my complaint. *oink oink* :8) *Speaking of the Bò Kho, I got the more traditional baguette to go along with it and it was phenomenal. I'm not sure if they make it on house, but it was a very good baguette. I bet their bánh mìs are fantastic. *Carissa loved their Ginger Chicken (aka Gà Kho Gừng) as the chicken was cooked and seasoned nicely and the dish was filled with great ginger flavor. The Meh: *No outdoor dining The Ugly: *I saw a few reviews on here stating that the food isn't "authentic" (whatever that means) but that's pure horseshit. Combined, we've eaten at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants throughout the country, so while we might not be the arbiters of what's "authentic" and what's not, I think we know anglicized cuisine when we see it--and this ain't it. Sure, the clientele is a bit sus, but we're in Campbell for fuck's sake. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Conclusion: Good food, great service, and terrific ambiance.

I order from Khanh's about 2 times a week I'm hooked! I always order the same thing (Ca Ri Ga). It's chicken breast in a curry liquid. I don't want to call it a stew because it isn't. It's like a broth almost and not super spicy just perfect! I get it with rice. My mom ordered the lemon grass chicken and loved it. I personally don't like lemon grass flavor so I didn't try it. Will be ordering again tomorrow! The interior is quite nice as well, spacious and clean.

Tried Khanh's for take out for the first time last night and it was delicious. The fresh rolls with pork and shrimp were the best I've tasted. So light and fresh. I was concerned because there was no peanut sauce, but the sauce they included was delicious. It was like a sweet soy sauce. Also ordered the shaken beef with rice. OMG. The beef was cooked perfectly. Flavorful and tasty. I can't wait to have it again. The final item was the won ton soup. It was good, but a little on the bland side. I added roasted garlic seasoning from my kitchen and it tasted much better. I highly recommend Khanh's. On an added note, I ordered my food through DoorDash and the dasher arrived on a bicycle! Khanh's is a couple miles away, but he got here fast and my food was hot.

SaIgon Crepe - so delicious!
David N.

This place has an amazingly diverse wide-ranging menu. So my review is just for the superb Saigon Crepe which is one of the two specialties listed on their menu. It showed tremendous preparation skills with high quality ingredients, and all SO fresh and delicious. The ambience, a former Denny's but upgraded, is nice and the service super attentive and timely.

We saw the new location on Hamilton Ave but doesn't look open? Is the Winchester location still in operation now.?

The location on Hamilton opened recently, end of COVID, I want to say. Their staff is really friendly & the wait is hardly ever longer than 20 minutes.

The pho comes with either fresh noodles or thin noodles. The bowls are really good size! Probably come for dinner next time because our lunch bellies couldn't handle it all! I asked the server if he'd recommend the banh bao xa xiu and he told us the chicken baos are more popular. Pho Dac Biet (17.89): lots of meat! Like more meat than I feel like typical pho restaurants give Pho Ga Di Bo (17.99): pretty good chicken pho, dark meat bone in Banh Bao Ga (8.49): probably not made in-house but I could be wrong. Wouldn't recommend I'd probably come back to get that pho fix if I'm in the area!

Variety is great, but then I'm assuming items like the boba are probably powder/syrup based, and that many food items may be frozen/not fresh. House Combination Pho - 2.5/5 Came out with very nice presentation but realistically that's all that was special about it. Nothing really stood out besides being very salty which I guess can be some peoples preferences, but maybe you should stock up on water before ordering this. Chicken Bun - 1/5 Buns everywhere are hit or miss so I don't know why I bother ordering this anywhere. This was 90% dough with 10% meat as is usually the case of places that don't handmake it in house. On top of that, the "meat" portion was largely mushroom, so..... no thanks. Not even sure if I even got to taste the meat to be honest. They do come with three buns per serving, but again, what's the point with that ratio. Shanghai Pork Dumplings - 2/5 Nothing special and tastes like a frozen/costco item that's been reheated in a steamer. At the very least the quantity,6, that it came with somewhat made this ok. While this is the Bay... Prices are a bit higher than what I'm used to and unfortunately no one really wants to pay above average with what is most likely non-fresh items. Service is really slow and pretty bad, even taking into account Viet standards. Order - Receive Food - Pay and get out. Not really a fan, I'd recommend sticking to items you normally find in a pho place if you're okay with average unless you want verrrry subpar options.

We ordered a large bun Bo hue, a large pho luc lac, fried rice with ribeye cooked medium level (as recommended), Bo luc lac with tomato flavored rice, and a chicken pho ap chao to share amongst 3 adults and 4 kids. Everything we ordered was delicious, tasty, and the portion size were very good and perfect for sharing. I was pleasantly surprised with the pho ap chao, it was really tasty and crispy and a dish I have not tried before. We really enjoyed everything but the Bo luc lac (shaken beef) was super tender and the beef was flavorful! This is a must try in my opinion! This restaurant is clean and tidy and has cute decors of bamboo hats hung from the ceiling and remind me of being back in Vietnam again. Staffs were attentive as customers entered. Plenty of parking spaces in the plaza. I will definitely come back here for everything I tried during my visit and to try more when in the area or on the way back from Santa Cruz. This will also be a great place to grab Togo for picnics or for hiking as well! My kids are already asking to come back to the restaurant after our first time there. After leaving her, the cousins who were in town all met for dinner at Com Tam Thanh. There were 8 of us. One of the locals knew about this place and it was her recommendation that lead us there. What a feast! The portions are very generous, and the menu is extensive. One could call this Vietnamese-Thai fusion, as they had a number of Thai dishes on the menu. We didn't try the "Broken Rice", but the description sounded interesting and they had a large section of the menu with different options in that area. Dear Hubby tried a pho soup. I went for wide rice noodles with shrimp and veggies. Ah-ma-zing! I can still taste the savory sauce and the tender noodles with the plump shrimp. Am wondering if there's somewhere local that I can get something similar as a craving has been notched. We also had two orders of spring rolls for the table and they were so fresh and delicious. A real treat! I wasn't sure I would like the peanut dipping sauce, but I did like it a lot. It didn't taste like peanut butter; it had its own unique flavor. The ambiance didn't make a big impression with me because I was tired and hungry. Everyone needed to decompress after being at the medical facility. It was very nice to be with the family members again in a warm, safe place with delicious food. We took a lot away; the portions were generous. As we were on the road, we ended up giving the leftovers to our grandson to take home when we saw him the next day. Thankfully we had a refrigerator in the hotel room so it worked out well. DH and I could have shared one entree with the spring rolls on the side - it would have been plenty of food.
