Great food and staff. The burgers and the wings are great. The mandarin salad is really good as well.

OKay, now let me explain this. The food is generally okay. You sometimes need to wait for a table and there is no "list". It is simply left to you and the other patrons to be nice to one another. That is usually easy. My biggest complaint --- and this is huge -- getting a 17% tip included on my bill when it was only two people!!!!!!!! 17% set tip for two people?!?!?! Now it does say on the menu that there is an included tip for parties above some number but 2 PEOPLE? So I ask for the manager who amazingly isn't available. I tell the waitress that I would have tipped her well but now, sorry I cannot leave a tip if this is the restaurants way. AND --- no more Keystone -- well no great loss. And when I tell my other friends they will likely not need the hassle. Just amazing. In this economy. Well -- adios Keystone pub. And this isn't the first time. They have messed up my friends' take-outs many times. I think they simply try to skim their patrons whenever they think they can. Low life. read more

I think the quality of food of this place has REALLY gone down. My mom and I both ordered the crab-cake entree. The crab-cakes were more than 50% breading- exactly what you DON'T want when ordering crab cakes. They were heavy and greasy to-boot. Whats even worse were the fries. How do you mess up fries? It tasted like they had been fried in old oil that had fried many other things before them. They were soggy and old-tasting. Super disappointing. =/ read more

If it wasn't for the terrible, terrible service I might have given it 4 stars, but it was just so bad I can't let myself do it. It's a bar, so I'm not expecting the greatest food and service of all time, but I am expecting some common courtesy. We went here for the wings, which I am pretty sure everyone goes here for. I don't eat wings but I knew I could find something else to eat. The guys love the wings, they say they have been coming here since high school and when it's actually 'wing night,' this place is PACKED. So they do good business for themselves. I ordered shrimp wings, I was actually really excited to have these and they were pretty good! I was impressed with them. It's been a long time since I have had anything remotely close to wings. The service though. Poor. So so poor. The waitress barely came to check on us and I had to walk to the bar to get a refill of my soda, yeah I drink soda at the bar, I know. But the guys even had a hard time getting a new beer. It wasn't that busy so there isn't an excuse for poor service. From good to lazy and petty! My husband and I have been going here for years and then we started getting carry out and of the 4 times we have ordered carry out 3 times there was no sauce on his wings. And less and less sauce on mine. After the third time my husband finally called and complained the manager mentioned the owner didn't want the wings slathered anymore, what!? You are a wing place and to spend 3 pennies more on sauce when we spend $20 on wings should not be too much to ask! There is a great beer selection but don't be obnoxious with the sauce and be better about the service/carry out orders. read more

Wow did this place go downhill! I had a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and it was putrid!!! I didn't even finish it because it was so bad. I'm not a picky eater whatsoever. With so many good bakeries in the area, you'd think they would go with one of them instead of cooking it themselves of buying bread from what I can only assume is the worst bakery in the area. The chicken, again I'm assuming, is from a can and they just put their sauce on it (the sauce is actually good, but you can't just put it on whatever and expect it to be edible). I also had the fried pierogies, which the outsides seemed like they had freezer burn before they cooked them (assuming again, but how do you screw up fried pierogies?!? Answer, just ask their cook). I also shared a lava cake and ice cream. Lava cake belonged in the trash. It was not a "delicious" baked good. It didn't even "lava" which who really cares about that part. It taste awful. I just had a mediocre dinner at the Pub and got to see my dinner for the second time. If you know what I mean. I remember when (don't you hate when people say that?) this place was the Butztown Hotel (just as Jimmy M. says) It's very cool that a viable business moved in even if it's mediocre, the facade is all lit up and fun. It's like Teflon - bad word-of-mouth reviews don't seem to stick. I come here frequently with friends because of its location and casual non-chain-restaurant atmosphere, it's the kind of place where you can hang out with some beers and the food is inconsequential (except tonite some consequences have come up.) My steak sandwich was horrible. Dried out chipped steak that I'm sorry I ate anyway because I was so hungry. We also had some hot wings which were pretty good at first - meaty, and cooked well (hey, you know when you get those scrawny raw chicken wings...ugh) But not only were they spicy, there were super salty which eclipsed the hot flavors. And you have to pay extra for celery and blue cheese dressing? Huh? I'll probably end up back there again. And again. Maybe just have some beer next time. read more

Keystone fills a niche: its a decent sports bar between Easton and Bethlehem, it has a good craft beer selection and good food. Service can be spotty, and I was really disappointed in the wing sauce options. The wings themselves were fine, but they don't even have BBQ, come on! Overall though, this is a good place to come get a beer. Tips: Cell service is almost non-existent inside the stone walls. Try the buffalo chicken salad, its HUGE! Standard pub fare prepared precisely as expected (actually quite delicious), an impressive beer selection, service was timely and pleasant, and the price was right. Well, 2 Stars best I can do. Primarily because we came to eat and have a couple beverages before playoff basketball game. We arrived, seated fairly quickly, took 35 mins after seated for 1st round drinks. That round came in 3 different waves including 2 in our party who ordered water. We didn't bother ordering food. I would have loved to try one of their 1/2 lb burgers, looked good! It was a busy Saturday night, but left a bad taste with us. A great little pub on the extreme east end of Bethlehem....and you will find all walks of life here from families, college students, singles, and gruops of friends out for a pitcher after they play their rec volleyball game (just as an example). They have a decent number of beers on tap, and quite a few bottles to satisfy whatever you are looking for, and as with any bar, there are food and drink specials daily. Monday is VERY popular with their Wing night (one of the better wings around) and the only downfall is that this night seems to bring out every Joshua and Jenny from the local high school (kind of reminds me of Arnolds from Happy Days...but now I'm showing my age)....this aside, the little ones can't hang out in the bar area and are stuck on the second floor so you can escape from a younger crowd if need be. The burgers are good, the staff is ok, but to be fair it is typically busy, and out of the 40 times I've been there, I've never left unhappy. You wait all year for the one night you want to enjoy with friends. You expect the service to be at least a "B", the food maybe the same, "B". The ambiance at least a "C" and your overall experience C+ or better. Saturday was an "F"! Waited 20 minutes to get a drink. My wife order a mixed drink and it tasted like mud water. I had a tap beer which was flat. The server came around every maybe 20 minutes, EVERYTHING was a wait. So, the food arrives...I had the "taco", large taco on a plate. Well, my impression was it was taken out of the refridge, nuked for like 5 seconds and served to me COLD!!!! So, Keystones, response...."We are very busy, backed up on orders, not enough help" and an insider told me the place is "the pits". One person at the table felt so bad because they picked the spot that they paid the check so we were bared the pain of having to pay for what seemed like getting a tooth pulled!. Whoever owns this place better step up. I mean I will never return but I cannot help to think that others will feel the same. Great place. Joe our bartender was so nice and polite. Our waiter Ryan was awesome. The service was great. I did however not like the fact of the waitress on her cell phone texting when we walked in, not even to look up and greet guests. The owner needs to be aware of that. With that being said I can't give 5 star's, she ruined that. The food was terrific. I had the wings and French onion soup, both were cooked to perfection with Such delicious flavors. My husband had crab cake's ( delish ) and the chilli is to die for. We met the 2 chef's that day and they were not lieing when they said everything is good. We can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. We just moved from NJ to Pennsylvania and we are so Glad this place was recommended. We went to this pub last night to help support local small businesses. The pub it self is in a really old building from the 1700-1800's really neat. The first floor is their bar and the second floor is the dining room. It is your typical pub. Our waitress Brenna was awesome. She was super attentive and made sure our drinks were refilled quickly and we did t need anything. However, this is where the review goes south. We were seated in the dining room by the kitchen. We could hear EVERYTHING that was being said in the kitchen. The men that were working in there were not quiet and were dropping the F-bomb left and right. They were talking about their sexual exploits as well. When one of our meals came out wrong and another persons fries were cold and the waitress took the items back to the kitchen to be re-made we could hear their complaints very loudly on the other side of the door. They basically said we had no reason to send stuff back and what the He$$ was wrong with us. When the waitress returned we asked to speak with the manager. We explained to the manager that we could hear EVERYTHING they were saying including what they were saying about us. The manager apologized for that, but did nothing else. He didn't comp any meals. He had asked what he could do to make it better like he was wanting us to ask to have meals comped, but I wasn't doing that. He is the manager and should be embarrassed about how his staff was acting. Over all the service was great, food was ok, kitchen staff and manager lacked professionalism. Stopped here on a busy night ( Valentines Day) and ate upstairs. Almost every table was full. The menu was full of choices and the food was good. I got the black and blue burger and it was cooked perfectly. Very good. However, what stood out most was the service. The servers were very friendly and attentive; plus our food came out quickly even with the place full. I didn't give 5 stars because the atmosphere is not great. Zero charm. Usually don't write reviews, but when you're having a bad day and all you wanna enjoy are your to go wings that you got from the night before and realized you have 4 traditional wings when u asked for Five BONELESS. And it was wing night so they charged me extra bc it was Togo and they shorted me and got the style of wing wrong. The past few times I've been there the service has been super slow and last night wasn't any better. Our drinks constantly needed to be refilled and a table next to us showed up 20mins after us. They received their wings, meal, and a check while we were just starting to eat our first order of wings. Horrible service, but the wings will bring me back. The server was a guy with a little facial hair . He rushed all our orders, even snapping at us to hurry up. Their wings are second-to-none and it's the perfect spot for football Sunday, because they accomodate you with the NFL Sunday Ticket! Ok so Monday night is wing night which means 14$ for 40 wings, sounds like a great deal, so i called and tried to order take out..they told me no they said i have to dine in and get a drink. so i went in, ordered the wings and the drink, a few mins went by and the waitress came back, she said that if I don't eat at least half of them while I am there they will charge me full price. She claims that the manager comes around and checks to make sure that enough wings were eaten so that they could get them for half off...wtf why didn't they tell me about this ridiculous rule before i drove there.. and what kind of manager is this to walk around and check everyones food to make sure they have eaten his quota.. Been there about three times........never had a good experience..... my wife likes the Philly cheese-steak sandwiches, but I'm done with them. The bartenders have always been rude, as if doing me a favor for getting me a beer. At another time, went to have some ribs (was told they were good). It was really crowded inside, so we asked to be seated outside........they dropped off the food, no napkins, no anything, and we never saw anyone again until I went inside to ask for the check..... as someone who worked and managed restaurants in my younger days, I can truly tell you, the service sucks......I don't go to a restaurant or a bar to serve myself, or be treated like a bother.......I can do that at home for free..... read more

I live close by, and there aren't many bars on our side of town, but I'd rather pay $12 for a cab home from downtown. The music is always too loud to talk over, the food is mediocre, and there is no cell phone reception in the bar (which a bartender smartly referred to as "the opposite of wifi"). If you live in the township, definitely the happenin' digs. read more

Keystone Pub & Grill - Bethlehem Bartender - (3) Kariane I must say, I have never been treated so good in my entire life, let me start with the wonderful bartender that served me. From the time I entered the door to my way out I felt welcomed and relaxed, she greeted me with a warm and firm welcome, and right off the bat my day that was pretty bad turned better, her bartending skills is off the chart, at some point I felt like she was reading my mind, whenever I was ready to order or needed something, some how she was there asking if I needed something, she really cheered me up, and she deserves recognition for her talent, I'm glad I came all the way from BUFFALO NY, just to go there, and I will definitely be coming back, the food was cooked perfectly, the wings was crispy and well seasoned, the burger was by far the best burger I have had in years, the veriety of beers was also very satisfying. The atmosphere was amazing! This is my favorite "locals bar." There's always a good drink special no matter what night you go. And the food is actually really good when compared to expectations. The bar downstairs can get really crowded but the restaurant part upstairs is certainly comfy. The wings here are very good too. Could be a little easier on the sauce, though. Solid burgers and such here too. There are actually a fair amount of kids who come to eat in the restaurant part of the establishment. You wouldn't think of it as a family joint but there's certainly something here for everyone, I guess. Monday nights are tough. I always think "wing night or homework?" Well, homework usually wins out but you know what I'd rather have.... Yuenglings and wings! Dining is available on the patio in season. read more

DON'T GO HERE!!! Me and my gf went here last night and its the most boring bar i've ever been to. We ignored the fact that they had the game on and everytime we would cheer for our team we got looked at like how dare we make noise in a bar or the fact that our food was less than satisfactory and came out cold. The cheese on my cheesesteak looked like government cheese and wasnt even melted but the real issue was when i asked to close our tab and the bill had more drafts on it than what we had ordered and was missing my 2 sodas. My gf politely called the bartender over to point out the mistake and he instantly got an attitude and became defensive, arguing with us about how many we had drank. Then he said he'd go get his manager. The manager came out and then proceeded to tell me that if she added on my 2 sodas and took off the 3 beers that the bill would actually be more because the drafts were $3 and the fountain sodas were $3.60... uhhhhh what?? She then offered to remove 1 of the drafts which we didn't feel satisfied with but decided that was gonna be the best she would do then she unnecessarily turned to the bartender and rather nastily said "I"LL just pay for THEIR beer I guess" Totally unprofessional and uncalled for. Then after settling that tab my gf ordered another beer and shot and then we were gonna leave. The manager served her. I then watched the bartender stalk the manager around the bar and complain pretty non discreetly about us challenging him on the bill. So then i decided i wanted a shot too and asked for one at which time I was informed that we were cut off because we had had too much even though i had only drank soda for the previous 2 hours. I understand that service is up to their discretion but I took a serving class and also am aware that it's suppose to be based on visual drunkeness which neither of us were displaying. It's a shame because I've worked for tips and am usually a really good tipper. They could have easily made $25-30 tip from me but instead they got nothing and a bad review on any site i can leave a review for them on. As well as telling all our local friends not to spend their money there. So good job guys. I don't know if we were treated this way because we were unfamiliar faces or if it was because we are gay or if it was because they were pissed that we caught them trying to rip us off. I'm pretty sure the bartender did it on purpose so he could comp the beers off the check later and pocket the cash which i know is a pretty common practice of bartenders. This place is literally half the distance between my house and the next bar/restaurant and I drive the extra because keystone is so bad. The staff are so unfriendly and seem mainly focused on their buddies who are present. The minute you walk in you feel the bad vibe. The death nail is the terrible food. Despite all the negative reviews here, I have to give this place a 5. I'm not crazy about the atmosphere and the staff isn't the greatest...but it's just something about those monday wing nights that I love. I've been here many times with friends (only on mondays) and have only gotten wings. The monday special is about $3.10 for 10 wings and a drink. They offer rookie, hot, killer, and sweet & spicy wings. I almost always only get the sweet & spicy, since the other wings are so-so. The sweet & spicy are honestly some of the best wings I've ever had. The wings are meaty, taste great, and are filling. It is a bummer that it's extra for blue cheese/ranch and celery, but the wings are just too good. Definitely recommend this place ... for wings..on a monday. The place gets super busy with monday regulars though so come early. read more
