Ke'e Grill made for a solid first meal in Boca Raton. It was packed at 715pm on a Thursday night, which was a good sign. The restaurant has a casual vibe, but with an upscale flair with white tablecloth and dim lighting. Ke'e is primarily a seafood restaurant so all 6 of us ordered fish. I ordered the special of the day which was a pan seared sea bass with soy pineapple glaze. The sea bass was cooked perfectly, moist and light with just the right amount of sweet and saltiness. The seared yellowfin tuna was also a big hit. Generous portions of sushi-grade tuna that was almost melt in your mouth. We also really liked the crab cakes and the garlic rolls. The Caesar salad was good, but nothing to write home about. I personally didn't like the big anchovies in the salad, but it's optional. The key lime pie was also good. read more

It was my first time at The Kee Grill in Boca with 7 women for a 75th Birthday Party. Our waiter was terrific. He went the extra mile for when the Birthday woman ran late for our surprise. The plain & garlic rectangular homemade rolls were scrumptious. While I didn't take pictures of the beautifully plated entrees, everybody's entrees from Shrimp, Maple Honey Salmon, Gorgeous thick pair of lamb chops which probably weighed a pound plus were delicious & some had enough food for 2 dinners. 2 great sides came with our early bird dinners, from sweet potatoes & asparagus to a great looking spinach side ++ . I haven't been here in years. Why? Every time I remember it, it's season and I can never get in. Well, no more. We went tonight and Luis was amazing. Attentive and helpful with a great personality. I started with a refreshing Aperol Spritz while we looked at the menu. They have a Summer 3 course pre five deal that's available Sunday through Thursday for $45.95. I started with the Ceasar Salad which was cold and crisp wth a nice dressing and shredded parmesan. It was a decent size. The bread, garlic and plain, is yummy. I was almost full at this point. For a main I got the lamb chops because every time i come here they are so good and again they didn't disappoint cooked to perfect medium temperature. For my sides I chose the Spinach Maria and a baked potato. Both were good. My boyfriend ordered the Ceasar and filet medallions off the regular menu. The steak was so tender and tasty it didn't even need a steak knife he got the baked potato and mushroom saute as sides and he was very happy. We had a nice bottle of wine and Luis let us take our time enjoying that before asking about dessert which was included with my meal. I opted for Key lime pie. It's a very tart version and if I hadn't had wine left over I might have eaten more of it. All in all a very satisfying meal and hopefully it won't take another 5 years to get back here. read more

Ke'e Grill (Boca Raton) is another one of those 'oldie, but goodies' that I would highly recommend if you are looking for unpretentious and solid food. Forget that this place gets a bit of an older crowd; things are changing, and younger couples are coming and filling up the scene here. Families and special events are plentiful, usually seated at a long rectangular table. The decor is tropical with large outdoor umbrellas shielding the cool air from going directly on you, but take it from me, it can be chilly sometimes so bring a little sweater. Large booths, tables, and bar seating are available. There are no outdoor seats, but plenty of self-parking. My recommendation comes from at least 6 visits over a few years. I have never had a bad meal. I have enjoyed more dishes than others but overall, I always like what I choose and always feel as though I got plenty for my money. Start with a caesar salad. The dressing is homemade, a tad tangier than usual. You can opt for anchovies for a small uncharge. I love that they allow you to get a smaller portion for one person. The shrimp cocktail is perfectly chilled with just the right amount of snap. Here, you will find the medium-large-sized shrimps, not the extra large variety you often see in a steakhouse. Sauces that accompany the dish are a sprite cocktail sauce and a thinnish remoulade which I think is just ok. The bread basket is complimentary. Don't miss out on the very delicious and not overly garlic, garlic bread. God, I wish I could eat a whole loaf without feeling guilty! I love Ke'e Grill's crab cake. Made of mostly crab, I often get an appetizer portion for dinner. For me, along with a salad or shrimp cocktail, it is usually enough. I do however love the side dish of spinach Maria which is basically a ramekin of creamed spinach that is baked with a bit of cheese. It's rich and filling in its own right. I know it is simple, but I love Ke'e Grill's baked potato too. Dominating the rest of the menu is seafood, but don't worry if you feel like a pork or lamb chop. Ke'e Grill does way more than an excellent job with these landlubber dishes. I would also be remiss if I did not mention their top-notch rendition of sesame-seared yellowfin tuna as an appetizer or main dish if you want 2 sides. Real bartenders will fix you a real cocktail here because they know what they are doing. Lately, I have been loving a sidecar and I really loved theirs. If they had some bar snacks perhaps I'd stick around the bar area more. The best part of Ke'e Grill other than the delicious food is the seriously outstanding staff. From the genuine smiles at the hostess desk to all the well-seasoned waiters and waitresses, I have never had a single negative remark to say. Orders are taken promptly. Water and follow-up drinks are on check and overall, I have never felt rushed, ignored, or the recipient of a long Saturday night shift. Don't forget to check out the dessert menu for their homemade warm delicious chocolate or apple desserts. Not tonight. actually encounterd something that I never have before. we had seating of four. i ordered the scallops encrusted with bread crumbs. the dish came only sprinkled with paprika. It was quite bland. did not request returning as to not disrupt the flow of the table. after, mentioned to the server that the dish was not prepared as on the menu. after arguing that it was I asked to bring me the menu to show him. the manager came and told me he would give me bread crumbs to go and take $2 off the meal with a very arrogant attitude. Celebrating my wife's 64th birthday, our recent relocation to Boca Raton and enjoying my Wife's grand nieces (4 yr olds) and nephew and niece in law. All of this was communicated when we reserved our table for 6 at 530pm. On April 16th, along with notification of our gift certificate. My wife I and arrived early and were seated right away, had a cocktail while waiting for the 4 members of the rest of our party. After seating, "Ricky", our server greeted our table with out an introduction to who he was, and he was very abrupt and seemed very angry. I asked him for his name and introduced my wife and I to him, explained we had the gift certificate for $250, he seemed fine with this but still carried an angry edge! I ordered my wife a cocktail, he mistook that for my order and when I corrected him, well, he was less then pleasant about it. Our extended party arrived. We asked for Childrens menus, I guess the restaurant does not have a printed menu as Ricky rambled off the options for children and then mentioned that the pricing was still set for the early dinner menu, we had no clue what he meant and he did not explain, he was rushing to get our order placed. Throughout the dinner, "we asked" for water, for refills of drinks, etc. Ricky was very "non customer focused", he is not in the right role at the restaurant. The food arrived, very good timelines of the main course and salads. The food was very good. We had 2 orders of lamb shanks, branzino, and red snapper, as well of fettuccine for the little girls. Excellent garlic toast rolls, very tasty. Drinks were fantastic and we enjoyed our conversations with each other, with the only interruptions from abrupt Ricky when he noticed we were finished and we were possibly ready dessert options, which was the chocolate brownie with chocolate ice cream, and again the food was fabulous and a very large portion. There was no complimentary dessert for my wife's birthday. We came tonight at around 4:45pm on a Sunday and didn't have a reservation and was told they were booked until 9pm but that we could sit at the bar area so we did that. I thought I was at a retirement home. They have a special early bird menu from 4:30-6pm and there are a lot of different items on there along with wine specials by the glass. We got complimentary bread and was also offered to have them not buttered with garlic but we were fine with the garlic bread. It was warm and delicious. I got the branzino with sweet mashed potatoes and spinach Maria. It was very good! Entrees come with a house or caesar salad and 2 sides. It was so much food and a great value especially if you come during the early bird time. Parking was a breeze here as it's in a strip mall and there is plenty of free parking. The service was great considering how busy there were tonight. I don't know the name of the person who served us but he was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The Kee Grill is one of my favorite restaurants that I used to frequent when we lived in Delray Beach. We came for a vIsit tonight with four of our friends. We had reservations for 5:30 and were seated promptly as soon as everyone was there. The early bird or value menu is good until 6:00. The entrees are discounted substantially if you are seated by then. Nick, our waiter was prompt and courteous and took our drink order and brought assorted breads and butter to our table. Three of us opted for the baby lamb chops. Two four ounce lamb chops grilled to perfection with a choice of delicious sides. Fresh veggies, spinach Maria, grilled mushrooms, baked potatoes are just a few. My date had the Blue Crab Cakes. He's from Maryland and very fussy about his crab cakes. He said they were loaded with crab meat and delish! Our other friends had the Baked Stuffed Shrimp with crabmeat stuffing. Eight delicately stuffed shrimp baked with a citrus butter sauce. We all started with the Caesar Salad which was perfectly dressed with cheese and anchovies. The restaurant was really packed and a little noisy. The decor is lovely with a picture of two really large fish on one wall. There are canvas umbrellas over some tables. The windows coverings were lifted as the sun set and we were surrounded by beautiful plants and lights. It you want a consistent well cooked and served dinner, the Kee Grill is the go to place. This was one of my favorite restaurants pre pandemic.. I have eaten here several times since the pandemic with each time being more disappointing then the next. Most recently, I came to Kee for my b-day; the bread had a hair in it; the waitress forgot our appetizers, our food came we advised of the appetizers and were told all of our entrees would be remade hot and fresh. Appetizers eventually came, they were lack luster. The food was never recooked and cold food was served; we sent it back twice for a reheat, but ultimately the restaurant back of house was a total failure. We didn't bother to mention anything to management because everything was so terrible that we didn't want to get anyone fired or ruin the mood of my b-day. I ordered the grouper topped with lobster. It was very good. A few hours later I had stomach pains. The next day I called at 4:30pm and spoke with the manager he asked me why i didn't call in the morning and I told him the website said they opened at 4:30 and told him of the situation he told me if someone else calls he would call me back. I eat out a minimum of 5 days a week and never had a problem and for the manager not to say he was sorry and acted like I was making it up. I have been coming here with my family for 20 years or more. The food never disappoints. I don't think anyone has ever had to send back one item. The decor is also very nice, and I'm sure it gets refreshed when necessary. The only thing sometimes questionable is the service. For example, on our last visit, there appeared to be no coordination between wait staff, runners and bus staff. My s.o. was a restaurant owner and she can spot this very quickly. As a result, our waitress seemed to have to do everything for multiple tables, including getting bread, salads, water, drinks, etc. This did not work well, and some items fell through the cracks, as did our opportunity to place our order when we were ready. She also cut off one family member in the middle of ordering. As my s.o. said, after so many years, this should be more of a well-oiled machine. read more
