CA omelette, biscuit and mimosa

We were sat pretty quick, brought waters, once we ordered foot came out in stages my daughters meal came out way before mine. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was very bland and had too much breading, could have been a little thinner too. Hash browns were ok and my toast was barely toasted and not buttered. It was food. And did the trick but I probably won't go out of my way to go back.

Special of the day was Salmon Ceasar Salad.

Occasionally we will take a train ride up to Windsor just to have lunch at KC's American Kitchen. I have never had a bad meal here. Their shakes are supper yummy, and if you like cole slaw their's is particularly good. This time I was going to get their Ceasars Salad, but they had a Salmon Ceasars Salad special. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and very very tasty. It was especially good. My husband had the Audrey Hepburn Sandwich. He gave it a thumbs up, and said the fries were good too. Service is always cheerful and accommodating. The outside eatting area gets a nice breeze and is very comfortable. You will get a good value at KC's American Kitchen.

Teriyaki Burger with Sweet Potato Fries

A nice diner with a good menu. Service is exceptional. Our server was quick and checked just enough to ensure we had all we needed. Menu had a variety of sandwiches, burgers, some salads and a lot of snacks. Had the pulled pork quesadilla- good pork. My husband enjoyed it a lot. The teriyaki burger which was good. A bit overcooked but flavorful. Cabo Cobb Salad was light a flavorful. Also had a yummy, thick chocolate shake! The patio dining was great. Lots of space. A variety of different types of seating and large fans to circulate the air. A great place for a casual dine.

It was a very chilly Sunday morning after J Vineyards' Christmas party the night before, and we slept through our complimentary breakfast at our hotel lol So I checked my trusty Yelp app to see what looks good with good reviews, and bing bada boom, KC's American Kitchen, so the decision was made. The ambience here has a diner vibe, with lots of old Hollywood pictures and memorabilia. Service was prompt and came with a smile. I ordered the bacon, avocado with pepper jack cheese omelette. Hubby ordered over-easy eggs with maple sausage and a biscuit. Hubby loved the maple sausages, plus his perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, and the biscuit was darn tasty. He also ordered a mocha and loved it all. My omelet was very good, not chintzy with the cheese or the bacon, the bread option included this raspberry coffee cake and thank you very much delish. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, and quite frankly, I come to Windsor often, if I want breakfast, I'm coming here. Cheers, my friends SYOY December 8, 2025

We rolled in ~16 deep without a reservation and they handled us like pros! The food was wonderful, and the service was even better! I ordered a "I love animals" burger, and my daughter ordered a "sassy waitress" sandwich. Both were well prepared, but what really impressed me was that they had our orders in quickly, and we were all eating in ~15 minutes time. They split the parties/checks up perfectly, and they were on top of drinks and requests the entire time. The ambiance is Americana/diner, well curated and maintained. The owner clearly takes good care of their restaurant as well as their employees. :)

We came out early on a cold, rainy weekday morning. We had our little dog, so we sat on the patio, but found the outdoor space to be warm and actually comfortable even though the weather was not. I ordered one of the potato pancake meals: "loaded potato pancake" on the menu. I've got to say I think I would've been happier with just the side of hashbrowns. I was hoping that my order would've been nice and crispy, but sadly it wasn't. I wasn't too impressed with the potato pancakes. The bacon was tasty, but really chewy. I'm a crisp bacon type of gal. My husband ordered the waffle and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was so yummy. My potato pancakes came with a choice of bread and I decided I would choose the biscuit. Big mistake. It was super weird flavored. It was a drop biscuit, not a traditional biscuit. I flagged down a server and she graciously, and cheerfully took the biscuit back and brought me rye toast. If we ever come back, it would be for the waffle alone, and that's the only reason why I gave it three stars.

Just went here yet again for brunch and delicious as always! Had a short wait for a table since it was around 11:15 am and they were super busy. Fast, friendly service and good food. Always love it here at KC's! We got the eggs Benedict Blackstone and the California Eggs Benedict. Both yummy and satisfying:-) Busy, lively atmosphere.

Hillbilly Benedict - biscuit, sausage patty, egg, sausage gravy

Been here a few times for lunch and have always had a pretty good experience. Yesterday the husband and I decided to try their breakfast offerings. The restaurant was packed on a busy Saturday morning but we were able to snag a table inside. I love their outdoor covered patio, they have a great fire pit out there. They have a wide breakfast offering with menu items that are very unique. My husband decided on the Hillbilly Benedict (biscuit, sausage patty, egg, and sausage gravy) and I went for the Big Boss Benedict (English muffin, ham, avocado, egg, and hollandaise). Both were served with county potatoes (hashbrowns or fruit are also options). The food was delicious, however my poached eggs were way overcooked which was a big disappointment as I love a runny egg. The hollandaise was a tad thin but had great flavor. My husband loved his meal and cleared his plate. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. The ambiance is fun with lots of decor to look at. We live in Santa Rosa so this place isn't super close but it will definitely be a top pick when we're in the area.

Thats their idea of a well done burger and some sad ass, i guess sweet potato fries.

One would think that when an establishment hires a cook...that he or she knows how to cook. Maybe resturants should test cooks to see if they know how to cook meats to requested temp. Ordered a burger to go and clearly asked for well done, it was written on the order tag and on my receipt. But alas. I get home and open my 20 dollar meal and one bite into my burger its a soft mushy pink. The sweet potato fries that I ordered? They looked like a pile of dark orange noodles all sad and crappy looking slopped in the corner. Are the cooks in such a hurry that they cant take a few more minutes to cook a burger well done and make the meal look somewhat appealing or is it laziness? Food be costing too much these days to get home hungry, hoping to enjoy a meal, to not even be able to eat a quarter of it. Tell your cooks to put some pride in the food that they send out. Youll lose clientele if you dont start. Thanks for a crappy meal.

Do not order the corned beef hash. For the price I would think the corned beef would not have been canned?

Nestled among stunning redwood trees and gardens, this property exudes charm and intimacy. I was very impressed. I came for the bottomless brunch at River Vine which they have available on Saturdays and Sundays. It's $49 for bottomless drinks and an entree selection. I'm a sucker for a good bottomless brunch. If you choose this option, you choose from a limited entree menu with decent selections. The food was delicious. We ordered the steak and eggs and the pacific eggs benedict. The server initially brought out the wrong entree (the corned beef benedict, pictured), however, they handled the situation gracefully. They apologized and let us keep the meal, free of charge. The mimosas were generously flowing. They also have a variety of flavors aside from the standard orange juice, including strawberry and peach, which I appreciated. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I will keep coming back.

I had the eggs Benedict with the redwood fresh squeezed juice. They added ice to my juice, which is a no-no. Fresh squeezed should never be watered down or chilled with ice. Lovely traditional English muffins and just th right amount of hollandaise. The baby roasted and braised potatoes are tender and tasty. It is little pricey, but worth it, minus the gossiping ladies at the next table. Complaining about some family member. Otherwise, peaceful and delicious. May return. I'm sure they are packed on weekends and during the summer.

We enjoyed it so much that we went out of our way to return today for one last matcha before flying home tomorrow. Unfortunately, we arrived to find a sign announcing that they had closed early at 3 PM for maintenance, despite their posted business hours of 7 AM-5 PM. We had missed the unexpected closing by just 17 minutes. The door was open so we peeked our head in, but the worker reiterated that they were "closed". I understand that maintenance happens, but it's incredibly frustrating to make a special trip to a business during its advertised operating hours only to discover it's closed. What prompted me to actually write this review was seeing that someone had left a one-star review just three weeks ago describing a similar experience and suggesting that inconsistent hours were an ongoing issue. Apparently, management just doesn't care. Why can't maintenance be completed at 5 PM instead of 3? It's such a shame because the matcha really was exceptional, and I was excited to enjoy it one more time. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and finds a way to communicate unexpected closures more effectively. Customers should be able to rely on a business being open during its posted hours, especially when they're making a special trip. Five stars for the matcha, but unfortunately not for the experience.
